Ready for the opening Alabama game. Making modified Hot Brown sandwiches since the game is against Louisville and the Hot Brown was invented there. We were in Louisville a few years ago and ate one at the restaurant where they were invented. Delicious!!
Sunday will probably involve a boat ride if it isn't raining.
Bought a wool jacket yesterday. Wanted to make sure I got my size - too hot to wear now, but I was sending a message to Summer that it is time to move on!!

Hot browns... Yum!!! Just realized my only gold ETSU gear is a sweatshirt. Gotta go buy a new tee for the gold out tomorrow.

My mom let me know yesterday that she'll be here today. I will love spending some time with her, but she could have let us know a little sooner. Good thing we didn't really have any major plans for the weekend!

Nothing like short notice!!! Have fun anyway :)

I am going to see if it is possible to work all day with no shoes on

Try walking barefoot on bare earth and see how you feel. I saw a thing on 'grounding' yourself the other day and I am curious about it. I will have to try it myself.
Wow that is tough in Texas. There are to many prickly things. How did it go

I took the kids to breastfeeding group so I could rant about Ellie still (at 8.5 months old) feeding every two hours in the night and refusing most food in the day. I am knackered! Nobody could give me any magical solutions but I feel better for venting, and realised it's pretty common too.

I just feel like I'm putting so much on hold until sleep is better and she can manage without me for a little bit. I've still not been anywhere on my own so no swimming or exercise classes can happen, and I've still not made real efforts to lose those last 15 pounds asI don't drink tea or coffee, chocolate is what gets me through. I'm not ready to give it up!!

I am glad that you had a chance to vent. I wonder why she doesn't like solid foods. This must be soooo stressful. l40v9eeqa2i5.jpg

Confession: I tune out anyone who comes to me with "get thin quick" plans or medical advice (unless its my Doc or nutritionist). This only applies to those two areas. I already have a PCP, and an Oncologist and a Liver specialist and a nutritionist. Plenty of medical help. As for the "get thin quick" plans I simply don't have the money, honey.

I try to do it in a polite way: "thanks so much for your concern" and leave it there. But I have had to be terse at times. I don't like doing that.

Get thin quick schemes often are followed by filling out to previous size quick. I am glad you are sticking to your plan.

I took my powerlifting referee test last night. Practical test Saturday at a local meet and I'll be a state referee. Kinda cool!

Very cool. How did you like it

I'm going in for jury selection AGAIN today. Please pray that I'm not chosen. This has been a huge inconvenience to my whole summer. I'm over it.. 10 more days until my term is done.

I actually WANT to get called for Jury Duty. I am 41 and have NEVER been called!!!

Can I request federal jury duty and get sequestered????

I'm 41 also and had never been called for jury duty until this year. I had renew my license in June and I think that's what got me bumped up on the list. Anyway, my state does it differently than the way friends have said their states do, I had to check the jury website every night to see if I had to go in for selection or just check again the next night waiting for the next instruction. My term was July 17th-August 31st. So basically my whole summer I wasn't able to make any plans until 6pm the night before. Super lame.
But anyway, today I avoided all 3 of the cases they were selecting for!! And even better, they said my term has officially ended because they have all the juries chosen!!

That would be horrible to be on call that long, What does a person tell their boss? Sorry but I may have to suddenly be gone the next month and a half if I am called to jury duty.

    Confession:

Okay, so there I was in the grocery store tonight, reading the labels on all the desserts - and multiplying the "Calories Per Serving" in my head by the total "Number of Servings Per Package," because I knew that if I bought the package that's how much I would eat.

I do that some times but it usually gets me to put it back on the shelf

My yard is pretty clear of prickers and such, so it goes ok for me.

Note all the thumbs up, you are not alone with peanut butter binge. I don't have it in my apartment for the same reason...or ice cream, cookies, cheese.

sigh...When I found that I couldn't eat peanut butter in moderation, and had to get it out of my apartment ASAP, I not only threw it away-I drowned the jar in water first so I wouldn't be tempted...

    I can't believe I shared that.

Yes. And TN they have to let me have the time off without penalty. I did two trials in my last 6 weeks of jury duty. Missed 10 days of work.

My Alma mater, ETSU won (it is an FCS school) 28-7, but I left the game thinking that our transfer QB is not as good as our previous 3 year starter. We'll see I guess.

Mississippi State won. (Becky and I will be enemies later on.) no surprise, they played an FCS school.

Tennessee lost and my brothers all love them so that gave me an "I told you so." Big 12 offebse against a brand new head coach. I knew that wouldn't go well.

Next week, ETSU plays UT. I expect my Bucs to lose to the Vols 28-7, but it's a money game and the check won't bounce so it's good for my program. If we do win by some miracle, my bothers won't be able to live with me.

Hot power yoga. 95 degree room with 33 students and the instructor. 77 minutes with an average heart rate of 134.
I need to find a class that I can get to that's between yin and power yoga. There has to be a happy medium.
