After a long weekend in Paris and Brussels, I was stressing about the weight I put on from eating pasta, crepes, waffles and drinking too much wine and beer. But, and this is a big BUT, I allowed myself these treats as I knew I wouldn't be having them everyday and would get back on the "horse" once I got back home.
Happy to say the day after I got back, I went for a run then a walk and back to my normal eating. My weight this week has not changed and I did not make the 5lbs loss but near enough. Am I upset with myself? Absolutely not!! The scale is a small part of our journey and today I am wearing a top that was tight around my tummy 2 or 3 weeks ago and today it is loose. I am getting so many compliments today. I can feel how much smaller I am around my waist/tummy, my jeans is loose, I now need to add new holes to my belt as it is not too big and finally I feel fantastic!!!

8/27 - 182.4 - Fluid retention still hanging on. My usual Monday situation.
8/28 - 182 - Fluid retention STILL hanging on, but the weight is steadily dropping. This is a new experience for me.

8/30 - 183.6 - One day never tells the story of the weekly battle. That should PROBABLY be my weight loss mantra. Lol. I'm in it until the LAST DAY of August, not just the last Monday. After all, I live in this body. My "goal" weight did flash first on the scale this morning. Then the behind the scene reality of today. I'll see what shakes out tomorrow.

A loss is a loss - this will be my outlook for this month. I still have 7 months left until my niece's quincenera so there's still time!
I'm happy that I did not gain weight this month. I have not gotten back to strength exercising because of my right shoulder (dominant arm). I don't want to overexert myself - granted I barely have any pain but why push it. Currently, my shoulder will create a popping sound if I reach for something too far. I plan to see my mom for another massage this upcoming weekend.
