I have tiny feet. Size 6 and a half or sometimes 7. My calves have always been fat. Boots that come up to the knees have never ever fit me. For $hits and giggles I tried a pair on in the store and they zipped up right to the top! This was the first time in my life.
Also I was using the hair straightener in front of the mirror. Out the corner of my eye I saw a bicep!! Of course I had to stop and flex!30 -
And I forgot one...
My CrossFit buddy who has been going for years and I were talking about different things I have not yet done there. (I have only been going for 7 weeks now.)
I asked her if she has ever done one where you have to carry your partner. (I saw it online once.) She said "yeah and if we do it again I want you for my partner cuz you are small!!!"
Uh, me?! Excuse me. I have never been called small before.18 -

NSV! NSV! NSV!!!
Okay, it's tiny in the greater scheme of things, but it's big to me. Last spring I bought the perfect blouse to wear to my nephew's wedding (big fancy do chock full o' judgmental family members). But when I tried it on a few weeks ago, it was way too tight for me. Bought another not-quite-so-ideal blouse with plenty of "ease," and wore it to the beautiful ceremony two weeks ago where my nevvie wed the love of his life.
But today, just for kicks, I tried on the "too tight" blouse - and it was just fine! It was a really harsh disappointment to me not to be able to wear it to the wedding; but now I'm just waiting for the next big fancy family do. 21 -
There are lots of bargains in thrift stores/charity shops/op shops. Especially as your size gets smaller, because lots of people donate their scarcely-used clothes as they (the people) get larger.LindaGilpin59 wrote: »I was able to go down one more notch in my belt! This is a good but a bit annoying problem when you are between sizes and especially when between Womens/Misses department. I have been unable to find dresses for quite some time. anyone have suggestions.

One of the casual dresses I bought for a cruise in October 2016 didn't fit me when it arrived so it got left behind.

When I went shopping for new school clothes this year, I knew I was in a smaller size, but I'm now in clothes with no X's whatsoever! Also my jeans size is the smallest I've worn since having kids 11 years ago!33 -
I've inspired my mum to use the app - and she has been at it for two months, has made a habit of walking every day, and has lost 4 kg! When I was congratulating her, she told me that when she feels like giving up, she thinks of me and how I've changed, and that makes her think she can too. I'm so proud!41

This is a couples NSV. We snowbird in the winter and walk several miles daily, bike and are active, then we come home and stop. Last spring DH was told his bloodwork was terrible even though he was "healthy" weight. Since the snow went away we have walked 2-5 miles most days. Last week his Dr suggested more meds--DH resisted so they ordered new bloodwork--the results came back "impressively improved" with most in the very good range. The only change was walking 5-6 days a week.
As for me--thanks to genes I'm ok--even though I was (notice WAS) obese, but was sneaking up to not so good. We both feel so much better---just walking folks--that's all it takes.30 -

Well done to you and DH, this is part of the reason I am trying so hard to instil good exercise habits while I’m losing - there is so much more to health than weight alone. Thanks for sharing it helps with the motivation to go for a run today

I don't know why it happens specifically when I'm in bed, but it is where I feel that way the most.
Maybe for me it's the combo of taking up less space, rubbing your legs and feet together and feeling bones and muscles, and the fat moving out of the way. Every where I touch on my body feels different - either more muscular or less fat/bony.

Do it, I did a Trail half marathon a couple of weeks ago and it was great! Was in a similar situation to you in January, you'll be fine 😀9 -
Since lowering my calories, my upper body lifts went down. Today, I was determined to go heavy.
Benched 185lbs for 3 and 205lbs for two sets of three half reps, plus the sets to work up to that weight. I haven't been able to lift 205 for maybe a month, so it feels great.15 -
This is just crazy to me but last week a lady described me as looking "model like" I'm like WHHHAAAAATTT! I'll take it.26

I feel stupid bringing it up in a forum of people who regularly talk about running marathons, but...
I've gone from walking a 21 minute mile to walking-interspersed-with-jogging a 17.5 minute mile.
I can only hold out for 2 miles at that pace (though I'm sure I could've handled 3 miles if it hadn't gotten dark out), but I'm just starting out on regular fitness activities, so I'm hoping all of this will improve even more with time. And considering I used to get winded just jogging across a busy intersection, I'd say I'm doing quite well. 64 -
Today marks my 500 day logging streak!
Just finished a 3 week maintenance break, the first one where I only ate maintenance and not in a surplus. I am 2 pounds up, but I think that can be contributed to water weight.
Going into a modest 10% deficit today, with weekends at maintenance. Hopefully this will be gentle enough not to trigger a binge.27 -

Go for it!
I did C25K, then pushed it to 8-10km here and there. Then did a 16 week half marathon training plan and did a half in July. I really enjoyed the training and the race (not last 2 miles) and am signed up for another next year.
It is an amazing feeling at the finish!

Yesterday, I went to Dress Barn to the plus size section of the store where I have always shopped and asked the saleslady if they had Ponte pants. She said yes and then literally looked me up and down and told me I was on the wrong side of the store. I laughed and said I don't think so. She left and went to that magical side of the store where regular size clothes live. I've NEVER been over there!! She came back with two pairs of pants. One in a size 14 and the other in a 16. I laughed but went into the dressing room. The 16 fit perfectly!! They were more money then I wanted to spend on pants, since I'm losing weight, but I just had to have them. I also got a really cute top in a 1X!

I had to switch up when I meal planned this week so I did all of my meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking yesterday while helping my sister out with her presentation that she has to give. So proud of myself! I usually do the meal planning on Friday, grocery shopping on Saturday (so I can have a little cheat day), and then cook everything on Sunday. I would usually just not do anything because my schedule was messed up.
I even think that my mindset has been changing a little. I had weighed out everything (even the pre-packaged and liquid items) and set them aside on my side of the refrigerator. Someone ate one of my snacks for this week and I actually got irritated! Normally, I wouldn't or when I started this before it wasn't such a big deal, but since I am in such a large calorie deficit (doctor's orders), I work hard to make sure I stay on track! Sent a little nasty gram to my husband and brother-in-law but I will apologize for my snappiness later. I'm just excited that I have taken this more seriously than I have in the past.17 -

Good for you! I was so happy when I got into the regular sized clothes. I found my possibilities opened up so much more.
Advice: Don't go overboard and buy too much till you "get to goal" ok? A lot of those clothes are useless now. Try to stick to the basics or shop thrift stores.6 -
Three weeks of travel, parties, reunions and over indulgences and I gained 7#. Have been home for a week and 5# gone! While it was fun seeing everyone and answering their questions about my new running addiction, I'm happy to be back to my normal routine and diet.
My NSV is, I ran a 10k on Saturday! My time was really slow, but I ran the entire run. I pictured myself carrying a 5# brick the entire time.14 -

You should feel proud! A lot of people here are deadlifting 200+ lbs, but I'm happy I'm at 70. I started out at 20, so it's a big deal to me. You are doing a fantastic job!
I went back to the gym yesterday for the first time in 3 weeks, and it felt great. My form wasn't perfect, but none of my weights have decreased (although they felt a bit heavier).17 -
I was shopping the clearance rack at the store and found some size 14 Lee jeans. They were $8...figured I could just save them for awhile if they didn't fit. I got home and expected to shimmy in part way. They fit!!! At my highest in January, I wore a size 28/30!!! I just put on 14s off the rack at a 'regular store'. I felt like screaming 39

It's been forever since I've had one of these. My (admittedly lame) NSV is that my family and I took a mini-vacation this weekend and I stayed on plan and within calories all weekend. There has been a lot of drama since our return and I'm not eating my feelings, so make that 2 V's.39
