If I can lose weight whilst still incorporating some of my favourite junk foods in my daily calorie allowance then why the heck wouldnt I?

It's not. At least IMHO, tools exist for a reason. I absolutely need my alarm clock to get out of bed on time, my grandfather never needed one as he woke up at about 5AM everyday naturally. It's no different than MFP, some people need this tool, some people don't, neither person is superior, we're just different.
Isn't that more impressive then being woken up by an alarm clock. I wish I could do that.
Who would want to get up at 5am every single day. Who doesn't love a sleep in sometimes?
Well, I choose between 4 and 4:30 so I can head to the gym.
Sleeping in on the weekends, in the summer anyway is 5:30 as now sunrise is 6:30. I can get 30-40 miles on my bicycle and be home between 9:30 and 10:30 depending on distance and how many cups of coffee I have at the coffee shop.
I've been riding to a town ~20 miles away on weekends to have a coffee.
I don't have waffles during the week. But weekends, if I've burnt the calories to get to the coffee shop, I'll have a waffle.
And my blood sugar stays below 100 most days, as opposed to the 180 it was back in February.5 -

I don't have much time to do any baking or cooking... but would a king sized supply of these buy my way onboard?

For me, I don't like to cook, I find it tedious, I'm not very good at it, and it makes me cranky to spend more time cooking and cleaning up after than it does to actually eat the meal. I'm not lazy - my life contains many tedious chores and activities that I manage to get done, but cooking is often optional for me.
On the other hand, my diet doesn't consist entirely of snack foods devoid of nutrition. I meet my protein, fiber and fat goals weekly. I often eat packaged meals, which are generally under 400 calories and often contain 12 grams or more of protein. I freely admit that in my case at least, home cooked meals taste better than packaged meals, but not enough to motivate me to cook all the time.
I am healthy now, and I wasn't 50 lbs. ago. My diet has changed somewhat over the past two years (I'd rather spend my calories on a healthy choice steamer with added vegetables than mac and cheese), but I don't eat "clean" by anyone's definition, manage to meet my calorie and nutrition goals, and don't judge others by what I see them eating in public. I know plenty of overweight people who indulge when they're eating out and fix healthy meals at home.

With 3 of 5 birthdays in August I was still able to lose 3.5# and oh here’s my contribution and my garden if that gives me bonus points 🤓. I’ve been reading this thread and it just makes me laugh! Thanks6

Awww, what a beautiful cat! My daughter has a "catio" fenced in so her cats can go in and out at will - maybe we could set up something like that, with toys and climbing posts.
eta: sorry, forgot the dogs - spacious run with all the chew-toys and maybe some frisbees.8 -
