If You Eat Cookies, Cakes, Ice Cream Daily Do You Consider Yourself Dieting?

Sorry, but if I invite someone into my house and ask them if they have any tips on how to improve my decor, there is a huge difference between that... and someone who drops in unannounced and starts critiquing it unbidden. (Or even someone I invited in who then starts looking at my furniture and making comments like, "Was this damaged out on the shop floor?" or "I guess you must've gotten that wallpaper on clearance or you'd never have picked that pattern.")
In the first case, I'm inviting critique. And if I really wanted them to say, "No, no. You've got it perfect already. Don't change a thing," and instead they point out a few areas for improvement, then that's on me and I've no reason to take offense unless they're going out of their way to be cruel. But cases 2 or 3? If I didn't ask your opinion, and you start judging my choices, I have every right to call you out and likely never invite you back.29 -

People look at other diaries and make judgments all the time on here. Just because it's not what you want to hear or don't like it doesn't automatically mean she's coming from a mean place doesn't seem like that at all. If you take offence to it or feel some kind of way, that's a personal issue within yourself.
The only diaries I have ever looked at are the ones where people ask for help because they aren't losing weight and the only thing I am looking for is inaccurate logging.
ETA I also look when someone claims they never eat processed food and acts all holier than thou. BTW most of the time these diaries are filled with processed food.21 -

Or someone peering in through a window and leaves a note telling you how wrong your throw cushions are.19 -
If it's not too late to reserve a seat in the handbasket, I make some mean fried chicken and latkes. Or, I've got two and a half bottles of got and some olives. I could also bring grapefruit juice if martinis aren't your style.
And if all that weren't enough, I'll also bring the Hoover that will automatically clean up the food for us.
Please do not give the Hoover chocolate, grapes, or garlic though.
Love the Hoover!
Mine sits on the edge of the kitchen just waiting for something to be dropped. If it's one of the above items, it's an interesting little dance to put a foot over it first.

People may look at other diaries; someone dragging them into a public conversation to slag off another person who said something they didn't like is another thing altogether. It was completely unnecessary. If you can't see that, then I suggest that's a personal issue within *yourself*. You've been passive aggressive and downright rude. You're coming off as an immature teenager just because some people disagreed with your rather narrow views of how you think people ought to manage their weight, which, incidentally, is none of your business. if you want to defend this person's weak attempt at public humiliation that's your lookout, but it's a pretty poor showing on your part.28 -

I usually only look when someone has asked for help. It's usually just a quick look at how entries are being logged (weight vs cups vs items), fat and protein targets (and sodium and fibre, if they are watching those) and how close they are coming to them, and total calories both eaten and from exercise. I may glance at the food items, but it's really not part of the basics that I'm looking for.2 -

I am waiting on my annual restocking order right now! Should be here any day now
I admire your restraint in placing only one order a year. I go through Fox Point, smoked paprika, minced and granulated garlic, and granulated and minced toasted onion ridiculously fast.
The highlight of a recent trip for me was getting to go to an actual Penzeys store. I fangirled so much that they gave me four bumper stickers for all the people who have seen mine and wanted one, and they asked if I also wanted one of the employee aprons. They were REALLY fast to clarify that they were joking about the apron--I might have taken them up on it otherwise.8 -
I do diet, but sometimes I'm eating junk food or go to mcdonald if I have a calories deficit that is close to the the junkfood I want to eat (it happens when I commute to work by bicycle 25km). I still consider myself doing diet and Im still losing weight even with this kind of food in my diet. It's also helping me to keep up because my diet wouldnt last if I cut all the high calories food I like.7

NO!
You can wear judgypants, but not ones that require an additional seat.
I don't like pants, judgy or otherwise. Can I wear a dress? I'll still be judging in my heart.
You can wear a Dress of Disapproval.
This is beyond perfect.6 -

As long as you continue to eat at or under your calorie goal, you'll continue to lose weight. I think most of us who have lost a lot of weight were successful because we didn't have to "give up" food we enjoyed. That's why we so strongly disagree with telling others that they shouldn't eat certain foods. I lost 100 pounds and I didn't stop eating anything I liked. I simply ate smaller portions of high calorie things, or I ate those things on days when I did a lot of exercise. It took me 2.5 years to lose that amount, and I would never have wanted to go 2.5 years without eating the foods I enjoy.15 -
OK, caught up. The food-shaming is ridiculous. What makes people think "junk food" is completely devoid of nutrition? Let alone the number of us who calculate our calories and nutrition on a weekly basis? Although I have to say I believe some of the *kitten* stirring is more along the lines of baiting rather than actual discussion points.20

I just had vegan hot dogs for dinner. They gave me about 25% of my daily protein and about 30% of my iron. They also had more sodium than I would usually have in a meal, and I'm guessing they don't count as "clean." I enjoyed them and plan to have them again soon. They fit my daily calorie goal. Are they "junk food" or not? Wearing the judgypants is tough.15 -

I had some of those a couple of months ago and they repeated on me for a couple of hours. I don't recall the brand right now but it has made me hesitant to try more.
I judge them guilty of making a person burp too much.

What I ate in a pretty small window of time (7:30-8:30 AM)! I am glad I ate all of this today, because I again volunteered to push a lot of carts & this food helped fuel me through a few hours of cart pushing.
I am sure I ended up burning way more calories than I ate today by a long shot, but I figure in a few days time I will be a bit more ravenous (very humid day & that usually kills my appetite if I'm outdoors more).
For the people that are judging other's food diaries (I have mine closed at the moment for various reasons) get over it! I bet most of the people judging have no idea what is going on in someone's day to day life, certain dietary restrictions, PMS, illness, etc.
As long as someone isn't consistently starving themselves (usually the people who ask for feedback on their diaries through posting here) then who cares?6 -

17 and I can pronounce them all, but I got a biology degree. I don't know what people eat if they don't have science degrees. Taking chemistry classes means you get to eat more foods since you know what all the ingredients are, right?23 -
