I hit the 17.6km swim goal on Saturday.
6:25:37. A little bit faster than the 6.5 hours I expected.
Next goal? 20km. I just can't tell my wife. She got mad when i told her about the 17.6km. She doesn't want me having a heart attack while I'm over 7000 mile away.
I guess I'll have to do that one at my home YMCA.7 -
Three that I'm working towards although one is a slight long shot.
1. 40 pounds lost, which I'm at 36 right now hoping to get this one by mid October.
2. Under 100 pounds left to lose. Right now I'm at 112.2 to lose. I'm trying to get this one by Thanksgiving.
3. At my gym they are planning on doing a Krav Maga belt test in late October/early November. I'm hoping to be asked to test but it's a long shot. Either way, I'm working on my endurance, technique, and aggression.9 -
170's and overweight BMI class!!! I may hit both of those tomorrow!! EEEK!!!17

I'm working on making it to Onederland. I have about 9 pounds to go but its TOM so my weight has not been going down this week but hoping once that passes to have a whoosh and get closer. We are starting fertility treatments this month so I am just working on losing as much as I can before getting pregnant to make pregnancy easier.11

My mini goal is to show a loss of 3lbs this week. I have been losing a steady 3 for a couple of weeks now. Feels good to be back in the game and not fighting myself!5

my mini goal is to get to 165 before October 1st - 2lbs to go6

My mini-goal is to get into the 150s by the end of October. I’m seeing my mom for the first time since I really started focusing on my weight loss and I’m hoping to surprise her some with some actually noticeable results! I have about 6.5 lbs to go! Totally do-able if I stay on track.
Second mini-goal is 152.5 (my half-way point) by the end of the year.12 -
Mini goal is to attend 9round kickboxing 3x in a week (without feeling like I'm gonna die).
Nothing like the high from going all out punching and kicking (mostly bags, not people )... but I definitely felt like I was dying during my first couple times.8 -
My sister is hosting thanksgiving at her house. This will be the first time I've seen my brother-in-laws side of the family since their wedding over a year ago. I'm really hoping to make my weight loss enough for them to notice.8

Ditching the fat jeans. They're a little baggy so I know I've made some progress. I think another 5 pound drop and I'll be there.
Second, to keep getting my 10K steps in daily. I've been able to do this for the last week or so. Shooting on keeping this a doable habit.8 -
Staying in the healthy range of pregnancy weight gain, and not gaining 60 lb like I extrapolated from the last few weeks7

My mini goal is to stay under 145 lb. My starting weight was 172 and my current weight is 144.2! And I just did a little math that might help others stay motivated. Here goes:
I took me a year and half to lose 28.2 lbs. That's about half a pound a week, with some weight gain here and there. Nutrition science says it takes a calorie deficit of 3,500 calories to lose 1 lb. So those 28.2 lbs represent a calorie deficit of 98,700 over the course of a year and half. Dividing it out, that's ONLY a calorie deficit of 180 calories per day. That's about one candy bar per day, or for me, one banana (~100 calories) and a homemade latte (~85 calories). While half a pound a week may seem like a slow rate of progress to some, I feel like it is a sustainable life style change for me rather than a "diet." To those just starting out, celebrate the small successes (ideally not with food!), because they will build upon each other until you find you have hit a big milestone.16 -
The fact that 2 weeks today I have to be in a swim suit in front of my ex husband and beautiful girlfriend12
-
My first mini-goal is actually to lose 25 lbs and get back into the lbs 100's where I was a couple of years ago.
mini-mini-goal on the way down is to lose 5 lbs (enough to get below 100 kgs).
So, - 5 lbs next two weeks
- 25 lbs next three months

Thanks for the reminder. On the way up it is usually just as slow and often times barely noticeable: a busy week here without daily exercise and the 200 extra calories it buys you; a more social week there and the restaurant food and wine, slightly larger portions, etc. In a year and a half seasons change, fashion change and you can gain 15 lbs before you even realize it when you are buying a larger size.5 -
