•9/17 - 181.6 - Monday bloat is back. Smh.
•9/18 - 181.4
•9/19 - 181.2 - I think this completes 181. Smh, what's next? I wonder.
•9/20 - 180.2
•9/21 - 179.6
•9/22 - 178.6
•9/23 - 179.4? - A question because I weighed very early and had no time to wait out the extra fluid. That's my trend though. Lol.
•9/24 - 179.8 - WOW, that ten days and this month went quickly! SMH about my weight. Seems as if these high 170's want to clear out fast. Good! I am holding a bit of fluid, but again, I don't want to play the waiting game today. A one pound loss for this round that brought me into a new decade, YES!

Day/Weight/Comment
9/15 (Out of town - no scale) Just got back home and did step on the scale (145.3) - super late time of day for me to weigh-in and had had things to eat/drink before so not too bad of an uptick after factoring those things in. My end weight for Round 52 was not really an accurate number since it was caused by a stomach bug. Looking forward to weighing in tomorrow and having a more "real" number to see where I am on the scale. My daughter and I had a great time together at the concert last night. So glad I was able to feel better in time for that!
9/16 = 143.5 Back weighing in a normal time, down .2 from Friday morning's weigh-in. Today will be super busy, we're having people over tonight, so lots to do. Planing on OMAD today to not go over calories with the dinner party food/drinks.
9/17 = 143.3 (down .2 from yesterday) So nice to be able to lose weight after a night off from logging my food. I enjoyed dinner last night, it was delicious but also super healthy & vegetarian. There were likely too many adult beverages though, need a lot of water today to re-hydrate. I completed the day 56 of 90 exercises yesterday, so today is the start of week 9 of my workout plan. After finishing this week's workouts, I'll be in the final month of the plan, Yay!
9/18 = 144.6 (up 1.3 from yesterday) Just another day with weird scale fluctuations Although more likely the delayed results from Sunday's dinner party. No worries here, it will come down within a day or 2. I moved my rest day to yesterday as my legs were feeling super tired from the weekend's workouts but so ready to get back to sweating a good workout today. In really good news, my treadmill has been stuck on the highest incline (basically unusable) for the past several months, which has not been too big of an issue because I really only love running outside and only use the treadmill when I have no other choice. We tried to fix it before by re-calibrating it without any luck but yesterday my husband found a reset switch on the underneath and it worked! Happy to have this back in business, I'll still keep my runs outside but it's nice to be able to do harder interval training on the treadmill and to get in some walks as well. Have a great day everyone!
9/19 =144.6 (no change from yesterday) So, settling in at this number, which I think is an accurate representation of where I should be. I think the big dips down into the 143's were effects of the stomach bug last week. Yesterday was a great exercise day but I give myself a "D" for nutrition. I would grade it an "F", except I did manage to stay withing my calorie range, so that's something. But these were all empty calories. Some days the body just wants junk, the good thing is those days happen less and less frequently. I'm back on track today with my nutrition, my body is craving a green smoothie (the norm) not potato chips like yesterday. Today, I have the day 59 of 90 workout and this one is a hard one! "Losing weight is hard, being fat is hard. Pick your hard!"
9/20 = 144.4 (down .2 from yesterday) Slight downward movement on the scale this morning, although it had my water weight percentage about 2 points higher than usual, so definitely still retaining some water weight. Yesterday was on point for my food choices and exercise. I had looked over what my workout was in advance and thought it was going to be crazy hard, but in the middle of doing it, thought this isn't so hard after all. But that is doing myself a disservice, it was a hard workout, I'm just stronger now. Today's workout 60 of 90 is the repeat of the day 1 workout from the 1st 30 day challenge. I did this workout back on June 18th when I started my weight loss journey, I was sore for days after, very interested to see how it feels when I do it today.
9/21 = 143.7 (down .7 from yesterday) Ok, back where I ended the last round, hope that's the last of the weight fluctuation this round! Time get some losses on the board for this round Yesterday was a MAJOR stress day, nothing personal, just home repair nightmares! But I ate under calories and got my workout in. Still dealing with all that today and we may have to go to a hotel if this can't get resolved before everything shuts down for the weekend. I don't think it looks good, I can't imagine everything will fixed before Monday/Tuesday. I WILL NOT stress eat through this and there is huge comfort in knowing that! In good news, we got a new sofa delivered this morning for our family TV room, love it! Focusing on the positives today.
9/22 = 144.0 (up .3 from yesterday) Bumpy round for me! Still hoping to eek out a loss by Monday, although we are going to a huge multi state fair tomorrow so will have to make really great choices while there to post a loss for this round. I've been either hitting my calories/macros or right under these all round and getting all my workouts in, but I have not been following my normal nutritional plan 100%. Need to tightening this up, I know what I eat makes a difference in how my body holds on to water weight. If I ever stop being held hostage to my house waiting on repair men to show up, I will get to the grocery store and pick up some lemons and cucumbers, so I can drink the water @tiabirdie56 recommends and flush this fluid retention out of my system. Have a great weekend everyone, and Happy Fall!
9/23 = 143.7 (down .3 from yesterday) It's just one of those rounds.....Yesterday was a very good day, much accomplished on the home repairs front, ate well & under calories and had 2 great workouts: completed day 62 of 90 and went for a run. I was up earlier than I would like this morning (I love my weekend sleep-ins) and got day 63 of 90 knocked out and went for a run. It was definitely fall running weather this morning, my favorite time of the year to run, loved the chill in the air. We are off to the fair in a little bit, probably will just enjoy it as a nice family day and not have anything to eat there. I'd like to be able to post a loss for this round, just have to decide where my priorities are and stick to them. "Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out."
9/24 = 143.1 (down .6 from yesterday) A loss is a loss, I'll take it! My goal this round wasn't a specific number but just to be solidly under the overweight BMI weight number, which I am, so goal met I went for a happy medium at the fair yesterday which I think was the best approach. Everything in moderation, no strings attached to the choices I make in regards to food. I'm posting a picture of my weight graph for the last 3 months, during this time I have probably gone over calories only 2-3 times (just by a couple hundred calories) but still there are scale fluctuations up almost on a regular basis. So good to have this info and not let the number on the scale be the only factor that defines my progress. So grateful for this group! See you in Round 54...

9/15--179.8 I guess Disneyland caught up to me! I'm in the process of getting back on track and breaking the carb cycle. Once I start eating a lot of carbs like I did while traveling, I end up eating more and more, and my calories go higher and higher.
9/16--Whoops, I forgot to log in. Maybe I was in denial
9/17--177.8
9/18--178.4
9/19--177.8 I weighed in before I worked out at 177.8 and after I worked out at 178.2; I'm keeping the lower number!

9/21--No weigh in, I sort of momentarily lost interest.

9/15 149.6 Went for a morning walk then planted myself on the couch. Feeling better but still a little low energy and scratchy throat. Feeling pretty good with my body, starting to read the maintenance boards and the concensus seems to be that maintenance is a series of small, 5 lb yoyo's to keep yourself in check. In my past, maintenance has been the hard part. As I am nearing my goal I am thinking more and more about how I want to live this second half of my life, and it's all about getting rid of the baggage I've carried, in my mind and on my bod. I don't know if I have another 50 years or 50 days or 50 hours, but I intend to take care of this body just in case!
9/16 151.6 Thankfully due to this challenge I know I didn't gain 2 lbs of fat overnight. I went to Mexican food yesterday and totally enjoyed my taco, rice, beans and some chips. Though the quantity was small, this was the real authentic stuff, cooked with manteca and oh so worth it! I expect this to disappear within the next 2 days. Super hydration and low carb is the plan today, as well as a hilly walk with my pups. I increased my daily calories from 1200 to 1400 and my goal is to STAY within this window for the rest of this challenge. Have a great Sunday everyone!
9/17 WEIGH IN DAY 149.8 Got rid of most of the bloat thanks to lemon/cucumber water! Yesterday was pretty uneventful, didn't end up going on a walk, instead chilled and did stuff around the house. Hard to do sometimes but I am learning. I have been a go go go person for so much of my life, and now have reached a place where I don't have to work, but I can if I want. Having to learn to be ok not being busybusy is sometimes difficult. The pup helps, as well as my 16yo son who still needs my presence. Today walking the hill with DH and pups, this hill used to be partially in the "red zone" heart rate for me, but now sticks in fat burning, though I am not charging it as much on the uphill so as not to leave hubby in the dust, but still a success. I am waiting for him to catch up so we can do it twice instead of once and done.
9/18 149.6 Good day, morning walk, went to work for a couple of hours and felt accomplished. Made chicken wings and french bread pizza for dinner, a fun break from the usual protein/veggie/carb balanced meals that I make for the family. Logged my food and stayed in the green! Hubby is slowly but surely getting on board, which makes me so happy. He suggested we walk the dogs TWICE a day on the hill instead of once, or add the bike ride in as well. I am all for it since I had pulled back for him to catch up, and it feels so good to be active together!
9/19 150.4 Staying in the green so far with this new increased calorie alottment from 1200 where I was over every day to 1400 now, however I have eased up on the carbs so will need to be conscious of that...but I am reminded it is a lifestyle. Really trying to break out of the diet mentality that I started this journey with as I near my goal. Being okay with a slower loss and incorporating foods that I was eliminating in moderation. Last night was the first good nights sleep I had in a long while. For the past several months I have felt my sleep is very restless, waking up at 4-5 am wide awake and unable to go back to sleep. I go to bed early, so I know it may just be that my body has had enough, but its the waking up throughout the night that leaves me feeling like I didn't sleep well. Walking the hill with my pups and DH then off on a mountain bike ride while my youngest son is at work, so I should get nice and physically tired today!
9/20 149 Success yesterday, did my ride and my walk, and ate in the green. Went to bed early when the snacking monster hit to avoid blowing it. Lowest weight so far, the solid 149, feeling strong and happy and accomplished.
9/21 149 Woke up hungry yesterday, had a big breakfast then skipped lunch. Walked, stayed in the green. DH told me I was looking slim.
9/22 149.2 Not sure...headache yesterday so not a lot of activity, ate within calories though. I have been tracking my headaches in the fitbit app and it's every 2-3 weeks, not on a monthly hormonal cycle like I thought. I would love to finally stop with the headaches if I could determine the cause. 147 looks like it's going to be out of reach this round, but that's ok, I'll just carry it over to next round. I feel good and stronger on my hilly walks, more time in "fat burning" less in "peak" so my heart rate is improving, meaning more fitness!
9/23 149.6 Looks like this round is going to be one of those rounds. Using all my tools to be okay with that, especially since I just adjusted my calories up from 1200 to 1400. I booked that trip to Maui, leaving in 12 days, so super excited. We have a disabled son and a teenager still at home, so getting away is always a challenge, this is our first just hunny and I vacation in over 4 years. NSV I ordered some bikinis on Zappos and all but 2 fit and make me feel good wearing them! Bathing suits are those things that I refused to wear when I was feeling fat. We have a hot tub and a pool at home but I would always say no, hating the feeling of putting on a suit and seeing my belly. I still have some more to lose, as well as some room to increase my activity level, so super happy to feel good now!
9/24 WEIGH IN DAY 149 Slow loss is still a good loss, 7/7 active days, mood good, satisfied with my eating, looking forward to next round!10 -
Day/Weight/Comment
9/15: 215.5 already gone to the gym and now to help my friend move!
9/16: 215.6 had a not so great dinner on the run yesterday. Working at Target this morning and then doing some relaxing because it's my rest day.
9/17: 214.5 had some carbs and fat left over last night so went and got ice cream but apparently that was ok. Hit my StepBet goals for the week, two more weeks to go in this challenge. Went to the gym this morning and did an upper body workout. Now, school and then Target, busy busy!
9/18: 214.5 feeling tired and sore this morning after a super long day yesterday but trying to stay positive. On top of all that I planned to do, I also did 17k steps. Today I was not planning on going to the gym but its raining so a walk after work seems like a bad idea.
9/19: 214.6 This is acceptable since the hubs decided he wanted Chinese food last night. He's starting a diet today in prep for a gastric sleeve later in the year and he wanted his last meal to be gluttonous. Wednesdays are usually my cheat day but a shift this week is fine especially since I hit the gym this morning before work. Wednesday, here I come!
9/20: 215.1 ugh, bad number. Last night was another "cheat meal", pizza, and it was awful. In hindsight, I should have gotten a salad but oh well. Today's plan is to kill it at the gym with a HIIT workout tonight and get al my steps in. Yesterday I was able to get my steps in by convincing my family that we needed to walk the dogs! Not sure if weighing in every day is good for me since it was so disheartening this morning but I'll keep with this challenge and reevaluate at the end.
9/21: 215.3 Yup, weighing in every day is not for me. I worked SO hard yesterday at the gym and with my eating that I totally expected that number to be lower than yesterday. I'll stick through this 10 days and probably won't do it again. I did manage to take measurements last night and now have new goals to hit. I'm trying to be ok with the slowness of this process, but I'd be ok with it if it happened a bit faster. Happy Friday?
9/22: 215.3
9/23: 216.1 No idea why I went up so much. Ugh ugh ugh.
9/24 123.6 Maybe my scale is wonky? Weighed myself before and after the shower and got the same number. I've made the executive decision that weighing in every day is not good for my mental status so I am going to tap out after today. Good luck everyone!11 -

I’m 59, female, mostly plant based, and lover of outdoors. This is my third round; the first one really kept me accountable, the second one was an eye-opener. What I have learned is that my foods and the amounts really do matter. My tracking needs to be accurate and if I eat it, it needs to be tracked. This round’s goals: no eating after supper, no trigger foods and to stay up-to-date with my Bible study. Honor God with my food choices!

9/15/18 / 126 / my late night binge eating has to stop.
9/16/18 / 121.4 / stayed on the plan and even accommodated a night out! I am determined to do this.
9/17/18 / 120.4 / biked yesterday afternoon. It’s warm here, so much so that I (one who actually likes hot weather!) wish it would cool down to a “normal” September temp! It’s supposed to be warmer today, so my planned bike ride may turn into something else!
9/18/18 / 119.2 / Biked & water aerobics. Love being in the water after a workout! I think my starting weight may have been water… it makes no sense, but I’ll take it! Apparently eating on plan not eating after supper make a HUGE difference!
9/19/18 / 121 / Biking yesterday was canceled due to rain. I was tired, actually achy in my legs so I did a long walk. Calories were slightly up, but not enough to make the weight gain. Just life, I guess! Plodding on!
9/20/18 / No weigh-in / Being accountable by posting! I’m battling food cravings and am trying to stay strong, so today’s goal is to eat healthy. “If it is made in a plant, don’t eat it. If it grows on a plant, eat it!” Did water aerobics this morning (love that class!) and if it doesn’t rain will be biking late this afternoon. Steps were in yesterday and am aiming for a good day step-wise today (10,000+)
9/21/18 / 120.2 / Went for a great group bike ride last night. Weather was perfect! Got home and had popcorn last night, so I’m happy with today’s weight. Sometimes my exercise is weather-dependent so I’m not sure how today is going to go. I’ll get out there one way or another. For breakfast I usually have a protein shake. In an attempt to save a few bucks, I switched brands to one that looked “pretty close” to what I was using. I’m finding that this new brand does not keep my hunger down like the other one did. When I’m done using it, I’m going back to my original one. Lesson learned… why fix it if it isn’t broken! Goal today is to eat well and within my range.
9/22/18
9/23/18
9/24/18 / 124.4 / Confession: I’ve been “off-line” because I didn’t want to see the affects of my bad decisions. I am still a loss from the beginning of the month, but I’m disappointed. The mental aspect is hard, and I find that I always “need” that food, etc., when in actuality I’m not hungry. I read a saying somewhere (sorry to whoever coined it), that “If you aren’t hungry, food isn’t going to fix it.” Sad to say, but sooooo true. Looking forward to a better, more consistent Round 54!

9/20: 252 - I was surprised to see that number today. I ate pizza but worked out quite a bit to fit it in my calories. Unfortunately, I smashed my foot into the couch and either sprained or broke my little toe so I have to take it easy for a while.
9/21: 251.4 - My foot doesn't hurt as much today. Had spaghetti last night and it was delicious!
9/22: 251.4 - Can't wait till I can start working out again. I'm going to try the stationary bike for a little bit today and see how it goes.
9/23: 249.6 - What!!! Was not expecting that. Got on the stationary bike yesterday and felt okay. I even had some Dr. Pepper which I haven't had in a long time. I feel really good about my loss this round so far.
9/24: 249.2 - A small loss today and I'm ecstatic with my overall success this round. Beat my goal by 3.8 lbs which was completely unexpected. Now to fight through the 240's!
Total loss for Round 53 = 5.8 lbs10 -
I am a 50 year old 5'4" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. On the other hand when I look at the big picture and the averages it has been a consistent loss except for one round.

I found you guys again!!!!!!! I hope you all are doing good. I miss this group! I am miserable and need to get back on track.
9/17 - 184 My first day (again) of tracking my food & exercise.
9/18 - away from home
9/19 - 182 I made wise choices. I already feel better because I am eating good food and exercising.
9/20 - 181 I am trying to keep motivated.....this is going so slow. I just want to get tot the 170’s.
9/21 - 182 🙄 Salty food even though I exercised and had low calories. Tomorrow......
9/22 - 181-Man this is hard. I ate good and exercised twice yesterday. Today we will meet up with our boys to eat out to celebrate ones birthday. I am glad I am in it with all of you, or I would quit today.
9/23 - 181 Did OK yesterday with cake & icecram; that was a treat since I am eating good. Tonight we will go to a gathering with super good food...and drinks. Hopefully my “off switch “ is working. Luckily I am 2 lbs. away from the 170’s, so that should help.
9/24 - 180.
I hope to see everyone in the next round. 😘

Coming in late!
Day/Weight/Comment
9/18: 143.8
Ate well until about 9:30 pm. It’s my first day on this journey and I’m re-learning my triggers. Forgot how much of a late night snacker I was. Oh well...tomorrow is a new day!
9/19: Forgot to weigh in but here goes...ate a “better” breakfast, considering the food we have around the house. Going grocery shopping today for better options that are still realistic for me. Went out to eat and got veggie pasta with a side salad—I’ve decided I’m only going to work on one or two things at a time, instead of just throwing myself into this lifestyle full force. The first thing is to eat more fruits/veggies and drink more water. Next I will worry about portion control, etc. I did do some late night eating again, but it was more of a meal that I tried to make as healthy as possible (again, considering the food we have)...we had a pretty early dinner.
9/20: 142.2
Bought some new foods, all healthy. We also got this frozen vegetable pot pie from our favorite place and I think we are going to have to stop because my husband and I ate the whole thing in one sitting😪 On another note, I ate more fruits and veggies yesterday than I have in a while and I drank so much water!! I did late night snacking again (unfortunately) BUT it was healthy foods. Doesn’t make me feel as bad but I did feel bloated and gross when I woke up this morning. I’m going to go invest in some delicious caffeine free tea to have instead when I get a craving...and maybe some chewing gum lol.
9/21: 143.3 Holy cow yesterday night was hard. So I ate good. Lots of fruits and veggies. But then I got cravings at night again. I didn’t completely deny myself so I had a simply natural fruit snack and some water and then went to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night STARVING. I usually don’t eat breakfast because I eat so much at night. So I got up because I was hungry and ate around a cup of blueberries and went to bed again. Then I ate breakfast this morning...coffee, oatmeal, banana. Then I had a snack a couple of hours later. I think now that I’m not going to be chowing down at night so much my body will have to get used to eating at the right times of the day. So weird...can’t wait to have normal eating hours and not wake up in the middle of night starving!
9/22: Forgot to weigh myself 🙄 Got to get used to that! Ate REALLY well yesterday. Went to a soccer match and I ate a cookie (yum!) but I am not going to feel bad about it, bc other than that I was good. Walked a bit too much though and had to ice my foot/ankle when I got home.
9/23: 142.4
Was still icing my foot/ankle yesterday. Kind of gorged on an appetizer (hush puppies) I really didn’t need but I didn’t eat the homemade chips that came with my meal, which was a chickpea burger with just one dollop of mayo. Normally I drown everything in sauces. It was delicious. My late night snacking happened, but it was fruit so I’m pretty ok with that.

Round 53 (3rd round for me)
Goal for this round is to get under 200 pounds by exercising, drinking water, and staying under calorie goal.
Round 52 SW 203 EW 201
Day/Weight/Comment
9/15- 201. Over calories. No exercise. Need to drink more water. In pain most of the day. Will try to get back on track tomorrow.
9/16- 200.2. Over calories a little. No exercise but spent most of the day house cleaning. 80 oz of water.
9/17- 200.2. Over calories again, need to work harder on this. 40 min walk. 64 oz of water.
9/18- 197.8. Wow! I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that number this morning. I don't want to get my hopes up yet though just in case... Under calories. 30 min walk, 30 min strength training. 64 oz water.
9/19- 197.8. Over by 80 calories. Long work day and no exercise. 64 oz of water.
9/20- 199.2. Under calories. 40 minutes bicycle. 64 oz of water.
9/21- 198.6. Under calories. 45 minutes bicycle. 64 oz water.
9/22- 198.6. Under calories. Lots of walking today while out and about. 34 oz of water. I noticed today it's getting a lot easier to stay under my calorie goal and I'm not snacking as much throughout the day like I use too.
9/23- 198.6. Over by 70 calories. 45 minutes walking. 34 oz of water. Lots of anxiety today, just wouldn't go away no matter what I did. I'm trying to prep for the week and I'm feeling overwhelmed. Will try to go to bed on time tonight, maybe that will help.
9/24- 199.6. There's still room for improvement but overall I'm pleased with the outcome of this round. See you in Round 54!

@ssssanaaaa and @jerier I agree with weighing a heavy item but even a 20# bag of flour will be more than 20# because of the bag. With scales that weigh in 0.2 increments that is just over 3 ounces and some get distressed by that much of an increase.
@abowersgirl Wait and see how those food choices affect you in the following days. When I’m home, I weigh everything so I know that if my total consumption for a day was 6 oz of meat and 6 oz of veg that is not going to cause an actual weight gain of over a pound - even if there isn’t a trip to the bathroom involved.

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
9/15 132.5 Up 1# from yesterday. That’s fine.
9/16 132.0 I’m tired of having this cold.
9/17 132.0 No energy
9/18 132.5 Water fitness luncheon today
9/20 133.0 Art Quilts meeting today, community bingo tonight - fried chicken is on the menu
9/21 132.0
9/22 131.5 Going to Grandparents’ Day at grandkids school.
9/23 131.0 Didn’t go to kiss school as I was having leg cramps and didn’t think I should drive. On the plus side, a couple of days ago I switched from coconut oil in my coffee to MCT or XCT oil as I have partial bottles of both. The day before yesterday I realized I had more energy than I have had in months and yesterday was even more! In the last 2 days I’ve done more around the house than I did total in the last 6-8 months! When I have said I was a slug, I REALLY meant it!
9/24 131.5 Back from WW weigh in - down from 132.8 clothed and after coffee. Still losing! I LOVE this keto WOE!

Day/Weight/Comment
9/15--216.4 Did not get a lot of water in yesterday, work was busy and stressful. Work will be stressful over the next couple of days so I have to be conscious of any signs of stress eating. Zumba today.
9/16--216.4 Going out of town on a work trip today for 3-4 days. My plan for this trip is (1) I'm bringing workout clothes with me and I've already found places to workout, run outside, and if nothing else I'll swim at the hotel and (2) I've found a grocery store near the hotel to buy some healthy snacks. It's pouring rain today, so not sure if if I will be able to get outside and exercise before I fly out tonight.
9/17--Out of town. Snacked last night on a small bag of chips due to stress and did not get a lot of water in..I could definitely feel it this morning. Eating was better today and I finished W4D1 today and kept up with my water. Goal tomorrow is to continue drinking my water and be conscious of my eating while I am out of town.
9/18--DNW out of town.
9/19--DNW out of town.
9/20--DNW out of town
9/21--217.8. So happy to be back home. I would rate my eating while I was out of town as a 7/10. I only ate when hungry, even didn't eat dinner one evening because I just wasn't hungry, but there were times when I could have made better choices. However, overall I am happy. Of course when I came home my husband had not gone food shopping as promised, so there was nothing to eat for lunch today and I had to buy lunch today...the first time in months.
9/22--218.4 Had barely any water yesterday. Positive yesterday is that there was no snacking last night even though I was home alone last night and bored...I just didn't feel like snacking. Zumba this morning, food shopping, and then shopping for bathroom stuff, bathroom renovation starts in less than 2 weeks. Goal for today is get my water in.
9/23--217.8 Did not get a lot of water in yesterday, will continue to work on it today. No rain in the forecast today, so hubby, me, and the dog are going out for a small hike this morning.
9/24--217.4 Went out for hike yesterday. Did not drink as much water as I would have liked. Goal for today is to get back into drinking my normal amount.
AW: 217.4 (-0.4) EW 217.4 (+1.4) Success: While I was out of town I kept my eating in check.

Round 53 (My 7th round)
9/15 157.5 Today is my 60th day on MFP. I am so happy that I took this step to a healthier me, and haven't given up even though I am still fairly new. I now weigh less than my husband. (He is only a couple of inches taller than me). I know weight is only a number, and us women have the "goodies" men don't lol but it was a constant bother to me. I'm not even sure why because he's not a big guy at all. He's always loved me the way I am, but I never dared tell him my weight before. Anyways, hope its a wonderful round for you all ❤
9/16 157.5 I need to get my sweet tooth back under control. Made cookies and told myself I was just gonna have 1. That did not happen so I just used cookies as my dinner lol.
9/17 157 the scale was bouncing between 155 and 157, I'll go with 157 for now because I didn't make the best food choices yesterday. Happy to see a loss though! Goal for today is to resist mall sweets and foods, my sis in law and I are having a girls day. I know we will be going out for lunch too.
9/18 157 happy to see this number again . Still not making the best food choices but staying in calorie range. Today already started off bad, my Grandma bought me Mcdonalds.
9/19 156.5 I didn't let my breakfast ruin my whole day yesterday. Had a smoothie for dinner. 🙂 Thinking I may change my ultimate goal to 130-135 instead of 140. Maybe. Going to see how the next couple rounds go.
9/20 157 I expected to see a little gain as my carbs and sugar were high yesterday.
9/21 156.5 Yesterday was a tough day again because I craved sugar all day. Usually fruit helps but didn't yesterday. Seems like this is happening a lot this round. It's going to get better though I'm not going to allow myself to fall back into old habits. Just trying to keep myself busy. I have added diet drinks in every so often, where as I was only drinking coffee and water. I almost wonder if this is what's causing it.
9/22 156 😊 yesterday was a good day other than a little back pain. Pushed through it though and got my exercise in, and felt better afterwards. Thinking if I stay good with my macros the next couple of days I can finish with my round goal of 155 😊.
9/23 Didn't weigh in this morning. Slept a little later than I wanted, so was rushed getting ready for church and forgot!
9/24 156 This has probably been the toughest round for me controlling my hunger, and giving in to cravings (especially sweets). A friend on here suggested that I brush, floss and use mouthwash after dinner, since most of my cravings are happening later in the day. Going to give this a try. I'm not going to be discouraged I didnt make my goal this round though. I was doing a lot of thinking last night - 2 months ago I would have loved to be the weight I am at now, and to be honest I didn't think it was possible for me to weigh what I do. I'm working on changing my mindset on getting discouraged with the number on the scale, as many of you keep saying. I need to let that sink in lol. Anyways, I am ready for the next round . Good luck everyone! ❤❤9 -

@abowersgirl Thank you! I've been steadily gaining weight since my son was born April 22nd and I didn't get control of my eating until the beginning of this month. It took almost 3 weeks to start seeing results but it has been well worth it. I don't like to give myself a goal over 2 lbs loss because of weight fluctuations. I fully expect my losses to slow down over the next round because I'm sure I dropped a lot of water this round. I honestly can't believe I saw a loss today considering I ate Taco John's all day yesterday, but I stayed under my cals and worked out. Hope to see you next round and good luck!6

9/15 – 180.0 Hello everyone! As I get nearer to my weight loss goals I am transitioning this round to 20-50 net carbs per day with the intent of staying in a fat burning mode. I am keeping my calorie goal the same which is 1277. My original goals when I started my journey in January 2018 was to lose 8-10 pounds per month . My newest goals are to lose 1.5 pounds per week, 6 pounds per month. I am carrying a bit of water weight from a travel day earlier this week. However, at my general weight I am 30 pounds from my complete goal weight with approx 60 pounds lost. My ticker will reflect this when I shed the water back off. Yesterday I stayed within calorie goal but went quite a bit over on my carb goal. As my business slows down I find I am walking a lot less and will have to build in more planned exercise and intentional walking. In the end, my hope is to reach 145 pounds by Valentine’s Day. I am building in an 8 pound cushion as I expect to gain a bit of water weight when transitioning to higher carbs and calories. My final goal would be to weigh about 153. I then intend to keep my carbs and calories in a maintenance level to help keep my T2D in control or in remission. I would love to hear everyone’s exact plan for their weight loss and fitness goals as we go along. I know a lot of great ideas may come of these readings. Good luck everyone on this round!

9/18 - No weigh. Out of town.
9/19 - 178.6
9/20 - 177.0 A great big thanks to everyone for sharing their overall plans to reach their goals. Whether it’s 10 day goals, mini goals or overall goals and plans, I learn so much. Hugs to you all.
9/21 - 176.4All I can say is wow. Just 3 years ago I weighed 253. I worked hard to lose 18 pounds which I kept off, but the health and fitness came to a complete stop when I began caring for my terminally ill husband. Dialysis every other day (nearly 100 miles away each way) and so many specialists with heart lungs etc. (all over 100 miles away each way also) kept me away from my home, my children, my home business and my own goals. But I would not change a thing. It was such an honor and a privilege to be able to be the one to help him through this to “the other side”. After 2 years of legal stuff, getting my business back on track, comforting my children & grandchildren and getting the dynamics of the family back in order, I decided to get back on the health and weight loss journey and start working toward my original goals. My starting weight this time was 235 in January of this year. The road is not always easy, and the diet I chose was something I “bumped into” on the internet when I looked up modern low carbs diets out there. I have had a lot to learn about the diet and about fitness in the modern age. What I’ve learned is that even with all my slip-ups and personal disappointments, this can be done. Thanks again for all the support. My children are grown now, out on their own except for my disabled son. Thanks to all of you for giving me the support that my dear Leonard would have given had he been here. I want everyone to know that I am not sorry I quit smoking even though it led to all this weight gain (which brought on many health problems like diabetes, thyroid and even contributed to my breast cancer). One battle at a time. I beat the cigarettes a decade ago, I beat the cancer 5 years ago, I had a couple of last years with my devoted husband. Now I am beating down this weight, diabetes and thyroid one…pound….at….a…..time. My weight was down again today. It makes me feel so hopeful that I can get back to being “Me” “Me was a nice lady, a good mother, a good wife, a hard worker and a person who took good care of herself and cared about good diet and fitness in her life. I miss her. So I’m on my way to see her now. When I embrace her completely, I will never let her go again.
9/22 - 176.0 I feel like the comeback kid every round. @AR10at50 is right. This is hard. But this IS the time that I will get to my destination. I’m feeling pretty good about my diet & exercise plan in this very moment. Last night I hand sewed more of my favorite blouses to make them smaller (I haven’t used a sewing machine since Jr. High). Inside out the stitches look pretty horrid, but you can’t tell on the outside so I am very pleased. All these clothes are temporary anyway. I’m on my way DOWN. I have long travel days every round. Sometimes I am not perfect in the moment, the meal or even for the whole day. But I've proven to myself that it cannot derail me. My NSV is that I willingly and HAPPILY get back on track.
9/23 - 176.6 Out to dinner last night with friends. Had a lasagna dinner (oh no!) but I boxed half immediately and took it home for my son so the damage wasn’t too bad for either one of us. A small dish of icecream at the restaurant completed the meal. I probably should have skipped that. @jerier is so right about restaurant meals blowing you up. I was immediately bloated and still feel that way a bit today. After dinner I walked briskly for 1.5 miles burning off more calories than the icecream. The scale only fluctuated slightly this morning and my glucose did not test badly either. Parsley & lemon water for me today. Thanks Tish!
9/24 - 176.0 Down 3 pounds this round which exceeded my goal but it was a rollercoaster round for sure! Congratulations to each and everyone of you. All the weight loss successes, the NSV’s, the good choices made, the moments of strengths, the exercise and movement accomplishments of all levels, the changed attitudes on overall health and the sheer determination that everyone had. I have read some sort of victory in every post. I am proud of us all. See you all in round 54.

@quiltingjaine Very true wich is why I use a dumbbell. No additional weight, just the actual dumbbell, so I get an idea how accurate the scale is. Frankly, no scale is perfect therefore I use it as a measuring tool and track the trend.6 -

9/18 200.8 I am being lazy in my diet and eating semi-junk food. Don’t know why I don’t just push myself over this. Need to get back to clean eating. After not drinking pop for months had a bottle for the last three days. At least it is gone now.

9/15- Out of town, no scale.
9/16- Out of town, no scale.
9/17- 145. Up 2 from the end of the last round. The weekend was active... And I ate a lot. Goal for this week: Maintain good habits when the weekend rolls around.
9/18 - 145. I am happy with how I ate yesterday. Regardless of the number on the scale this morning, yesterday was a success.
9/19 - 142.5 - Ha, that's one of the biggest drops I've ever seen in a day. Hoping it's real! Given where I was at the end of round 52 and then my weight on Monday and Tuesday, it's going to take a few more days to understand the trend. In the meantime, it was really nice to see the line on the scale edging down this morning.
9/20 - 142.5 - Happy to see the number stick today. I fit a serving of caramel cookie crunch gelato (yum! totally worth it) and a pumpkin spice cookie (meh, not worth it) into my calories yesterday.
9/21 - 141. Wow, so many inspiring posts in front of mine today. I love how the inspiration comes in the form of everyone's efforts and the journeys, not just from numbers on your scales. The people in this challenge are the best!
9/22 - 141. Trying to hold it together for the weekend, so far so good. I am really itching to get out of the 140s, so that may help me stay focused through weekend events. Fall weather is here too, with some lovely crisp days and some rain.
9/23 - 141.
9/24 - 141. I thought I might see 140 this round, but I'm very happy with 141. 2 pounds is a great loss for me, especially since I bounced up a few pounds at the beginning of the round. We bought and assembled a half rack for my weights yesterday and picked up some more plates since I was easily lifting all of the weight I had. It was so nice to use the rack and not have to overhead press my squat weight to get it up on my shoulders! I'm looking forward to Round 54, more exercise, and increased strength.

@quiltingjaine - I missed responding to your earlier commentNext time take a small bite of the cookie and chew and savor, take another small bite if necessary and decide if it’s worth it. If not, just throw it away. Why did it take me 60+ years to realize I could throw food away?
By bite two, my cookie was mostly gone. It was a small cookie and my bites aren't exactly petite. The first lesson for me is to take smaller bites!

9/19 -188.7- really happy about this. Let's take it down more! Next mini goal weight is 185.0 (but GW for this challenge is 186.5).
9/20- 188.3- woohoo! I didn't do as well yesterday as I wanted to but today went really well so hopefully the scale delivers
9/21-187.9- The scale kept showing me different numbers. I usually weigh myself twice to account for random error. But the two numbers were off (187.9 then 187.1) and so I decided to do it again somewhere else and got no straight answer (188.1, 187.5). Just went with the first number I originally got. Seemed most likely to happen. At least they were all lower than yesterday's number
9/22- 187.2- So my little brother went on the scale and his weight was showing to be 79 pounds but he's a little more than 100 so I think I need to buy a new scale but my weight seems probable since I did really well yesterday. Not sure so I will purchase a new scale but for now it might be okay. But I am a LITTLE concerned since it was doing weird things yesterday as well. Also, I'm going out to eat today with family so I'm not sure that scale will be good to me tomorrow but I'm determined to get right back to eating right after. This will be hard for me because I tend to feel bad about myself after eating badly like I let myself down but I need to get out of that habit because some days won't be perfect. That's life. No need to feel bad about it if it's not an everyday occurrence.
9/23- 189.1- I know this is a fluctuation and I saw it coming. Going to do really well today to help the scale go down for tomorrow!
9/24- 188.5- Not as great of an ending as I hoped for BUT I'm not too mad because at least it's still less than my SW. And at least I didn't gain like I have in the past once lol I need more fiber or something. I took a shot of apple cider vinegar today so hopefully that helps lol8
