Round 54 (#18)
I typically don't set goals because I find myself sabotaging them. Stupid, I know, but it's true. Challenge goal:Stop binge eating my trigger foods which are too numerous to list.#37: 142.6 - 137.4 = -5.2
#38: 137.4 - 136.8 = -0.6
#39: 136.8 - 136.2 = -0.6
#40: 136.2 - 135.0 = -1.2
#41: 135.0 - 133.6 = -1.4
#42: 133.6 - 134.2 = +0.6
#43: 134.2 - 133.4 = -0.8
#44: 133.4 - 132.4 = -1.0 Body fat 28.0% acceptable range
#45: 132.4 - 132.6 = +0.2
#46: 132.6 - 133.0 = +0.4
#47: 133.0 - 134.8 = +1.8
#48: 134.8 - 137.2 = +2.4
#49: 137.2 - 136.0 = -1.2
#50: 136.0 - 135.4 = -0.6
#51: 135.4 - 135.4 = +/- 0
#52: 135.4 - 132.4 = -3.0
#53: 132.4 - 133.2 = +0.8
9/25: 132.4, date last night. Grilled chicken, fingerling potatoes with red bell pepper and sweet onion, and wilted spinach. The wine was delicious.8 -

9/25 - 256.2 - Jumping off the Keto wagon & back to a whole foods approach which worked better for me. Gotta start the exercise back up in a week when the broken toe heals completely. Happy to have broken any sugar addiction long ago. I can do this!!
@LizzyinWA Welcome! I can relate. When I tried Keto I was constantly fighting cravings and losing each battle. Ultimately increased my body fat by several pounds before I called it quits. Whole foods and moderation is more sustainable for me.5 -

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

A year ago, I weighed 204.4!
I begin this journey at the weight of 228.3 998 days ago!
I rarely need to use willpower or motivation, as 100’s of tiny habits I developed slowly over a long time carry me along!
Despite what people say about it gets harder as time goes on, this time I found quite the opposite: it’s been the easiest ever. I only wish The research on changing habits, all of these apps, and the Apple Watch had been invented earlier!
9/25 159.6 water weight from injury & brace I am wearing... all will be fine! Eating less than normal & still walking.

Female, 46yo, 5’4” I am an advanced age mother to 2 little boys (4yo & 17mo). I want to lose weight so I have less pain and can do more with my kids.
This is my 1st 10 day challenge. We are having a weight-loss competition at work (% body weight lost) and this is my motivation to get back on track. It started 8/1 and ends 10/31. I’m not typically a competitive person but I’m setting out to win this competition and if I lose 30+ lbs and don’t win, I’ll still be a winner in my own mind!

9/24 - STARTING WEIGHT: 176.0
9/25 - 175.2 I did everything right yesterday. Stayed within carb and calorie goal. Intermittent Fasted 16:8. Exceeded my step and miles goal. Hit 13/13 step hours. I walked 1.5 miles in the light rain just to get it in. I got the munchies/cravings late last night but I knew I had already had enough to eat for the day so I managed to get through them by drinking water. This could have been a full-on binge for me. If it had gone any closer, I had a plan. I would've went ahead and eaten something WITHIN MY PLAN even if it put me over my macros for the day. Then logged those few extra carbs and calories without turning it into hundreds over carbs or 1000 over calories. I would've moved on without shame knowing I had gained a touch more control than last time, that I was still evolving and IMPROVING. I know, I know…… It’s easier said than done, but at least I’ve made a plan I can try when the binge is coming on. My normal behavior would've been to just stuff my face with everything I see until over-satisfied. My all or nothing attitude has got to go when it comes to food! It’s one of the personal demons I am fighting right now. So far, I’m off to a good start. Good luck everyone! Let’s enjoy the next 10 days together and make some things happen!

13th Round for me: Female 65, height – 5’
Last round I wrote “I’m hoping that [planning meals & gym] will kick up the loss and I can make it under 150 by Christmas.” Having not done any figuring of course. Now that I figure it out there are 8 rounds before Christmas. So that is a possible goal for me but doesn’t allow for cheat days. Hmm, wonder if there were no cheat days where I would end up? So my goal for this round is – No cheat days where I snack in the evenings. No getting carried away with extra large portions at meals because I like that food or I’m stressed.Round 39 (1st for me) – SW 163, loss -.2Round 54 – SW 158.4, goal EW – under 158
Round 40 – on holidays, gain +1.6
Round 41 – SW 164.4, loss -2
Round 42 - SW: 162.6, loss -.6
Round 43 – SW 162, loss -.4
Round 44 – SW 161.6, loss -1.6
Round 45 – SW 160.8, gain +1
Round 46 – SW 161.8, gain +.6
Round 47 – SW 162.4, loss -2.2
Round 48 – SW 160.2, missed most of this round and Round 49 as I was away without computer or scale.
Round 50 – SW 160.2, loss -.8
Round 51 – SW 160.8, loss -1
Round 52 – on holidays, no scale
Round 53 – SW 159.8, loss -1.4
Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June. This is less than 1 lb. per round but I realize that may not be possible as I get lower (close to 27 rounds till then so 1 lb per round would put me at 131).
Day/Weight/Comment
9/25, Tuesday – 158.4 So great to see this number. I know as I get to the lower 150’s, I have way less foot, ankle, knee issues and can walk a lot further. So looking forward to that.

My initial loss has me motivated.. I feel like I can’t put a goal this round yet because goals actually de-motivate me lol I’m still over 30lbs of my pre-baby weight. I just need to do what’s best when it comes to eating and trust the system and results. It worked for me last summer!

@taxgirl1 Increasing fiber is a great goal. I need to do the same. If you or anyone else has ideas on how to do that or food/products to use without increasing the carbs by much, please share!

Round #1 for me, my name is Brett 31yrs old and I started at 285lbs, after a relatively short period I got down to 250, then I plateaued, now I have gained a few pounds back and I would like something to keep me accountable. Anyways off to the races :P My goal weight this round would be 248, maybe 247 because I think I am holding onto some water weight, overall goal weight is 200, and ultimate goal weight is 180, though that does seem a lil low for someone with my build and height, but according to the BMI thats healthy, but i dont know where they get those statistics, I was 180 in Junior High and sure i was skinny, but also scrawny xD

@TerriRichardson112, Thank you for the SBMI link! I saw it yesterday on a different challenge thread and performed my own calculations with it. The results were 39/70, BMI=28, the same as the other calculators. This calculator gives me a pass on my weight, stating that there is no benefit to me in losing more weight, but also gives me a SBMI range of 39/70 to 30/70. I would rather be at the low end. So, I did calculations with the weight of 135 and my SBMI was 31/70.
I'm going to add it to the other two on this thread. Calculators can only give you feedback on what you enter into it. The results are generalized, but all tools that give us a window into our health are beneficial. What I liked about it off the bat was that I could enter my actual weight and height in fractional numbers.
I do encourage everyone on the 10 days thread to use the Smart Body Mass Index calculator.
