09/25: 249.4 - I'm not sleeping well lately. I think it's nerves from looking for a job after being a stay at home mom for so long. I woke up groggy and sore today. I have an interview tomorrow with a staffing agency and I hope it goes well. Also, I had a chicken fajita salad last night and it was delicious. I'm going to have that more often.
09/26: 249.8 - Strength training water retention. Not worried about the slight gain at all. I had an interview this morning and they want a second interview this afternoon. I hope this is a good sign! Hopefully I will be returning to the workforce by Monday! Thanks you guys for wishing me luck!

9/24 - STARTING WEIGHT: 176.0
9/25 - 175.2Did everything right yesterday. Stayed within carb and calorie goal. Intermittent Fasted 16:8. Exceeded my step and miles goal. Hit 13/13 step hours. I walked 1.5 miles in the light rain just to get it in. I got the munchies/cravings late last night but I knew I had already had enough to eat for the day so I managed to get through them with water. This could have been a full-on binge for me. If it had gone any closer I had a plan. I would have went ahead and eaten something WITHIN MY PLAN and logged those few extra carbs and calories without going overboard. I know, I know…… It’s easier said than done, but at least I’ve made a plan I can try when the binge is coming on. My all or nothing attitude has got to go when it comes to food. It’s one of the personal demons I am fighting right now. So far, I’m off to a good start. Good luck everyone! Let’s enjoy the next 10 days together and make some things happen!
9/26 - 174.8 I agree with @abowersgirl . When I look at the number on the scale, it feels like I’m standing next to someone else seeing what they weigh! Me in the lower 170’s ? No. I’m that fat lady with the nice personality. I have to get used to this again, get used to being back to me! It is a VERY STRANGE feeling to look at the scale. It doesn’t feel real. She’s so right!

Oh no! I've been busted by @quiltingjaine!
I'm around but have been a combination of distracted and busy!
As an update, my husband had surgery last week. We're still awaiting results of tests after the surgery that will tell us if (as we expect) he has cancer and to give us an idea of staging. All signs point to it not having spread if it is cancer, so we're hopeful.
And my weight is pretty much where it was the last time I checked in: 220.
Thank you, my dear friend, for thinking of me and giving me a needed kick in the pants!12 -

Round #1 for me, my name is Brett 31yrs old and I started at 285lbs, after a relatively short period I got down to 250, then I plateaued, now I have gained a few pounds back and I would like something to keep me accountable. Anyways off to the races :P My goal weight this round would be 248, maybe 247 because I think I am holding onto some water weight, overall goal weight is 200, and ultimate goal weight is 180, though that does seem a lil low for someone with my build and height, but according to the BMI thats healthy, but i dont know where they get those statistics, I was 180 in Junior High and sure i was skinny, but also scrawny xD

9/26- 190.1- I had rice last night. And I tend to go up on the scale any time I have rice. Will try to avoid and this better go down tomorrow. Tonight I have everything planned. Definitely not going to go back to the 190s. Hell no.

9/26 - 83.0kg, successfully fasted for 16.5hrs! I think this weigh in is on the lower end of my fluctuations where yesterday was on the upper end. It’s motivating regardless
9/27- 82.5kg, just over 3hours left of my second 16hr fast! I’ve been weighing myself at different times of the day so getting a lot of variation. It’s great to see the scale go down but I’m not holding onto these lower numbers just yet. The past two days I’ve weighed myself after eating, but today was before eating, so perhaps the first weigh-in was over?

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
