Interesting day today. Opted for a protein shake for lunch. It was yummy and seemed to fill me up, but I really like to actually chew my food, so found myself ordering an 8 count grilled Chik Fil A nugget an hour and a half after the smoothie. Not a bad fast food choice, but am not sure Iโd have wanted that if I had an actual meal for lunch. Felt โunsatisfiedโ and tired all day. Will go back to eating actual food tomorrow. Anticipate a bit of a gain thanks to salt intake and beverages this evening.
I did get 12 rounds of the stairs in and burned 400+ calories to start the day!

Hi folks, I live in the sunshine island of Cyprus. The first chill of autumn is in the air and it's time to swap my swimmer for jeans (oops - definitely snug) - too much summer socialising, I'm afraid. I've just found this challenge - better late than never, so will just have to try harder to make up for lost time! My particular challenge is that I'm 64 y.o and under 5 ft tall, so I struggle to lose weight. This challenge is just the kick up the whatsit that I need !

10/15 - 73.6kg - I've been indulging in too many carbs. IF + challenge to get me back on track.
10/16 - 72.9kg - As suspected, eating too many carbs made me retain water. Tonight I have gym, curious to see my numbers tomorrow morning.
10/17 - 72.00kg - This still must be water weight. Feeling better and more energetic! Gym sesh was great, that might've helped. I'm gonna try adding keto principles to my diet. It seems as much as I love 'em, carbs make weight loss much harder and longer for me. Anyone else on keto?
10/18 - 71.8kg - ok, now I'm hopeful. I just might end this on 71.5kg. Keto day 1 went ok, not hungry, just my mind playing tricks on me and wanting carbs. Today gym again. Hoping to see the scale move a bit down tomorrow as well. I'm about to travel to the USA for 2 months, so I'm trying to ditch these last few kgs before I leave.

10/15 - 165.7 lbs Damn! Went clothes shopping with my mom today, and it was waaay better with her help. Picked out a lot of new clothes that actually compliments my body. Feels soo good to buy new clothes. I wasn't that good with my calories today. I ate a chicken/bacon salad for lunch at a restaurant, and I have no idea how many calories it had.. But I ditched dinner, because I'm still feeling full after that huge salad. I didn't eat the crutons, so that helps a bit I guess haha! But that salad def contained a lot of calories. Was delicious though. She wanted to buy me lunch since my birthday was yesterday, so it's all good
10/16 - 165.7 (โ) No change! Iโm good with that ๐ Happy I didnโt bump up since I have no idea how many calories my lunch had yesterday. I went to the gym yesterday, but today is a netflix kind of day ๐ I think Iโm coming down with something, so Iโll go to the gym tomorrow instead (if I feel better).
10/17 - 165.1 (-0.6) Great! Iโve lost 2 lbs / 1kg in 7 days ๐ Hope this losing streak lasts all the way to my goal! Heading to the gym today, feeling better.

10/15- 214.0lb- Been out walking for an hour and a half this morning, I will add another 45mins to that later when I walk my dog. Feeling motivated!
10/16- 213.8lb- Feeling absolutely knackered today, I got a really bad nights sleep last night due to my youngest child being a little wotsit. I just hope that doesn't derail my eating plan for today. I will only be doing housework and walking the dog later.
10/17- 213.0lb- Another bad night with the little one, I ended up having more snacks than I intended last night, ended on my bmr though so not awful. Doing a food shop in the minute, I'm going to make smart choices.
10/18- 213.8lb- I had a really good day yesterday, plenty of walking and I stuck to my calorie goals. I'm going to make an effort to drink plenty today.

Hi,
I moved from the UK to Cyprus in July last year, I have put-on a few ponds on over the Summer - too much summer socialising, I've just found this challenge. I have my sons wedding next year to prepare for.
I feel this focus in 10 day batches is just what I need and believe I can do this and achieve a weight loss as I too often give up and start again tomorrow.

15/10 Back to work today after a long weekend, I have been really struggling with discipline the last week or two and it's not like I've a particularly strict plan to start with, my heads just not been in the game. Need to try and focus on alternatives to stress/emotional eating. I know I can do it, because I've done it before, however, sometimes it's just easier said than done. Here's to a better week, goals for today hit calorie goal and get out for a run
16/10 I signed up to Healthy Wage yesterday, I've tried DietBet before I liked the concept but did not like how rigidly it expected the weight to come off, especially as I have huge water weight swings around ovulation/shark week, so I've set myself up to lose 30lbs over the next year, I will pay in $30 per month and if I hit my goal by the end I get $855 and can extend if needed. Hoping it will give me that extra nudge to the lose the 2nd half. Goals for today - get some strength training done and make sensible choices on business travel this evening/tomorrow.
18/10 Got a quick 20 minute weight session in before leaving work to travel on Tuesday, lifted really heavy to make up for the short time, ate reasonably sensibibly over the 2 days I was away and managed to even get a quick row in on the river yesterday evening when I got home. Today's goals - have an active rest day, get my steps in, hit my calorie and protein targets.8 -

Starting off on a high # on the scale today because we had dinner at the inlaws last night. Taco chili! Yummy for fall but high carb for me, followed by German plum cake expecting to see a quick drop back to 183ish so I'd like to get strongly below that number this round! Plan for tomorrow: write out my food plan, Day 2 of 30 day yoga challenge. Glad to be here, this is a great challenge which helps keep me mindful.
10/16: 184.6 had a good eating day yesterday but I need to get better with tracking my food! and planning ahead as well. Hanging tough till Friday night, have a girls dinner party to go to and the hostess is making hot buttered rum as the signature drink.
10/17: 185.0 I feel ok about this because I had mexican last night. stayed within my calories but it was saltier than normal so not bad considering. I am behind on my yoga challenge already, need to make some time in the day to get that in!

10/16 - 167.6 I know this would happen. Had a lot of treat yesterday. Egg puffs, chicken roll, cream roll cakes all added a pound in a single day. For my body, weight puts on rapidly but goes down very slow!!

I managed to stay under calories but the food choices were a bit questionable and I managed to work out but not like I had been during the week before I got sick. I am feeling better today but still have a dry cough which is just as bad as a stuffy nose. Hoping to get back into my routine today. Regardless a loss is a loss and I hope it stays that way

10/17 - 149 - I'm having lunch with a client today, so I'm glad I'm down a little more. He's taking me to a private restaurant at his club, so there is no online menu for me to pre-plan my meal. Nine months ago I wouldn't have though twice about it. Now, I'm going to take the advice that I've learned here and make the best choices I can to mitigate the damages for tomorrow's weigh in.

10/17 175.2 - Awesome! I had a really nice walk yesterday. And I got to eat one of my favorite dinners! And...nsv! I went to Victoria's Secret because I had a gift card. I've never shopped there before because I guess I assumed they wouldn't have my size. They did a fitting and the size gave me a surprise! I thought oh my gosh have I been buying the wrong size all along? Does anyone know? Are their cup sizes different? Anyway, I felt so confident and happy in a bra that actually fit me right! It makes such a difference! For the first time in a long time I was happy with what I saw in the mirror! Such a good feeling!

10/18 176.6 - Huh. The only thing I can think of is that dinner the past couple of nights was kind of high in sodium. Last night, I started feeling some IBS symptoms so I'm feeling pretty bloated. Not sure what's causing it. Hopefully it passes soon.

10/16: 155.8/Ran on the treadmill yesterday instead of outside and I hated it, but with the fall setting in I don't have much of a choice.
10/17: 155.2/Had a work conference, worried about blowing my diet, but kept it together.
10/18: 154.0/Feeling great! Went for a run outside yesterday. It days like this that motivate me to keep going and not drink that glass of wine or eat a whole bag of chips. I have just over 2 weeks(my birthday)to hit my goal of getting into the normal BMI range, which is attainable as long as I keep focused.13 -

10/15 152 I'm really surprised I didn't gain anything from the weekend. I felt so full and yucky yesterday from all the wine I had Saturday night. I only had 700 calories yesterday though because I really couldn't eat much. Not complaining though! Hope you all are well, I didnt have much time on my phone this weekend to read all your posts but I plan to go back through them today .
10/16 151 Woohoo! So close to the 140's. I was just thinking back to my crazy hunger phase that I had back in September. So glad I pushed through it. It has definitely gotten easier .

Did well on my weight loss last round but not on my other goals. Will be leaving on vacation on 10/20 so I won't be able to finish out this round since I won't have internet access. I also won't be tracking my food/calories while I'm gone. I plan to enjoy eating on the cruise without going overboard on junk. I also plan to focus on increasing my water intake and getting more exercise on vacation.
Goals this round:
Log food in MFP 5/10 days (only doing 1st 5 days of the round)
>1200 <1420 calories 5/10 days
Drink 54+oz water 5/10 days
Weight <= 265.4 (>=1.6 lb loss) on morning of 10/20

10/15: 267.2 (+0.2) made whole wheat spaghetti for dinner. First time having pasta since July and I had high expectations, but frankly it was awful! Didn't eat much and ended up just having a protein shake to get my calories up and get some protein. I still want the sweets (but avoiding them except for my low sugar protein shakes and an occasional piece of dark chocolate) but have no interest in starches. 1114 calories, 104g protein, 50oz water
10/16: 266.4 (-0.8) took a break during the afternoon at work and went for a walk 1318 calories, 93g protein, 63oz water
10/17: 265.6 (-0.8) ended up at the Mexican restaurant for dinner. Avoided the chips even though that basket sat in front of me taunting me the whole time. Probably should've ordered a salad but had chile rellenos instead. 1388 calories, 89g protein, 76oz water
10/18: 267.0 (+1.4) I actually feel bigger today, ugh.
