So inspired by all these posts! I’m a bit bummed that I missed the start of this, but I also started my diet on a friday so I’mnjoining in & looking forward to continue in November!
Monday I went to yoga for the first time in 4 years and felt insanely relaxed and energized after it. For dinner I made pumpkin cream soup, turned out delicious.
Tuesday: got home from work early, spent the whole afternoon/evening in bed with my fave shows and drank my weight in tea. Oh and made a batch of really good falafel.
Wednesday: Turned off my phone&laptop and snuggled up with a great book for like 5 hours
Today: Waiting for my hairdye to do its thing as we speak, I’m dying it pink. Will post photos tomorrow3 -
Yesterday, a bunch of us at my company got notices that we are all being laid off in 60 days. Over half the company got notices. It was a very sad day for a lot of people, including me. Bad enough that we're getting laid off, made worse by the fact that we still have to show up for work for another two months knowing that our days are numbered.
I spent a lot of time in bed yesterday after I got home. I was just exhausted from crying so much. To protect my mental health I have decided to work from home today and possibly tomorrow. Still a lot of crying and anger today, but also a lot of applying for jobs. It's my goal to find something new before the end of the 60 days so I can be free of that toxic environment.
Don't really feel like exercising, and of course since I am depressed my appetite is through the roof. Trying really hard not to eat everything in sight.7 -

Excellent!
You can look forward to a new environment, no baggage, a fresh start.
Glad you're applying for lots of jobs.
Do some cold-calling and send a letter and your Résumé to places you think would be really nice to work for. I got my dream job in a bookshop that way.
And maybe try and look forward to leaving that crappy job.1 -
Tonight’s self care is to just light a candle, grade papers and pour some hot tea. After a full day of noise and problem solving, I just need peace and quiet.5

So 2 days ago my self-care of the day was dying my hair. I haven’t done anything with my hair in over 7 years (besides cutting split ends) so this was great, decided to go to a salon & got a great head massage, had a nice chat with my hairdresser & we drank half a bottle of champaigne so I’m not complaining )

Had a 90 min wait at Govt Bureaucracy- brought my art supplies & sketched faces!! The wait time flew by!!
Drinking hot tea & taking longer walks in this lovely October weather have also been self-care items for me!7 -

Oct 21 self-care
A walk & then more walking 😀
Wore a “thin blouse” over a “thin” no-sleeved blouse. I couldn’t wear either of these 10-20 lbs ago! Very cool.
A cup of tea ☕️4 -
I wanna join3

^ Yes to a cup of tea. Brewing one right now.3

The past week or so I've not posted but I have been doing self care. I took a week off from the gym to give myself a break. I started back yesterday and I realized how much I missed it. I spent some time with husband and there were a few cups of tea. I also tried a new to me recipe that turned out even better than I had hoped.
I also had a weight lifted off my shoulder which resulted in two nights of great sleep. Long story short, I was reaffirmed that we made the right choice in trainer for our dog. I worry about whether or not we are giving our girl the best life she can have. I want the best for her. I also want her to be the best girl she can be because I know she's being judged because of her breed, meanwhile she is the sweetest goofball ever who just wants snuggles, snacks, and the freedom to catch moles. He basically told us that it's better to have a short walk that goes really well and we can build off, then a longer one that is a struggle. He also said, without hesitation, that if we wanted to get a friend for her to play with and maybe help temper her high energy, that he would handle introductions. She is weird with other dogs. She has lived with a dog before and some dogs she's ok with, but she's picky and gets worked up with dogs she's not a fan of. Needless to say, introductions can be stressful. Getting a second did is something we have tied with and it's something the trainer actually brought up so it was a relief to know that we were right in thinking it could potentially help and that he was there to help us with everything related to our pup.4 -
Doing my best to get in as many calories as I can while I have no appetite. I've been way too far under goal lately and I dont want to lose muscle mass. I got some shakes to help with that, since drinking is easier than eating. They aren't good but they aren't horrible. Great source of protein.2

Watching some movies 🎥 - without guilt!
Taking daily long walks. 🏔
And tea! ☕️
Also got all dolled up in thin clothes, hair, jewelry, makeup & heels!
Was great for my spirits. 2lb weight gain virtually made no difference... moving on!3 -

BEAUTIFUL color! It really makes your eyes pop too! 😃3 -
I have been pampering myself to get over a two and a half week bout of head/throat congestion.
I had my hair done on Tuesday Morning, and we went to the theatre on Tuesday night in Belfast.
Yesterday, I had a Strictly Come Dancing catch-up telethon, with some of the progs I have recorded.
Today, I had coffee with three of my friends after our Latin Study Group meeting this morning.
Tomorrow I am going on an outing with my two adult daughters.
The clocks go back in UK on Saturday night, so I am hoping to be back to getting to bed before midnight.2 -
Managed to get the party is the garden that's getting bulbs pulled, dirt added, and the netting put in before the rain started. It's supposed to rain for the next 3 to 4 days but after that I get to plant!!
Today I'm having an easy day. Between workouts and working in the garden, my body is beat up. I've been staying at the same weight because of this but I'm not mentally beating myself up because I know it's water retention to build my muscles.
My husband is going to be visiting friends in Sunday so I have the day to myself. I'm trying to think of what I want to do with my free time!3 -

On Monday I visited my grandma for her birthday, even though she’s celebrating tomorrow I didn’t want her to be alone on her actual birthday. We drank our body weights in tea and had a wonderful long chat. So blessed to still have her in my life. On Tuesday I got together with my best friend and had dinner at a new vegan restaurant in town, then had a lovely long drive through the autumn scenery blasting Destiny’s Child hits from early 90s. Wednesday I tried a new recipe for salmon pasta and the whole fam liked it, yay! All those Gordon Ramsay videos I’ve been bingeing on youtube must have paid off. Thursday was rainy and cold, so I left work an hour early and snuggled up at home with a book and some tea. Yesterday I went to my weekly folk dance class, and I think I did decently, although I’m not much of a dancer it was fun and I love the people there. Then had a couple of glasses of wine with my bestie. Today I did my nails at home, put on a face mask and watched youtube for a couple of hours, made a huge batch of pumpkin soup and now reparing to go on a nightly walk with my dogs. Loved reading everyone’s updates, hope you’re all doing well xoxo4

Today I let myself cry today about how stops and senseless people are.5
-
Yesterday I talked to a friend with terminal cancer, which was hard, and then decided to chill out at home instead of socialise with friends to have some comfortable introvert time.4
-
spent the afternoon reading on the couch! going to take a bath and watch a movie tonight - pretty much my ideal day!3

Today is a true self care day. I felt like I was in an alternate universe this week. The students were wild and off kilter this week. That affected me and I’ve had a headache for three days in a row and a ringing in my ears. It was a FULL moon as well.
Yesterday, I ran a 5K race with friends. We were each a seven dwarf. I was sneezy!
Had a fun costume party; I found a cute 60s mod girl dress and hat. I love dressing up.
Today, I have zero plans. So, I’m still in bed just on the ipad. I will putter around, clean a little and prepare lesson plans. But at least, I have all day to do it.0 -
@RubyRed427 - i’ve had the headache & the ear ringing too! that full moon was a doozy!1

@avocadochampagne, this sounds like such a wonderful week! I love the idea of a folk dance class. (I want to try country line dancing, but nothing in my area.)1 -
Meh. I'm trying to make it better. I live in Pittsburgh and it's kinda surreal. Thank you for your thoughts.
After yesterday I decided to take an extra krav class to let out some crappy emotions. A friend who is watching my dog next week came over for a meet and greet. It was nice to see Sophie make a new friend. I finally decided on a visual for tracking my weight loss progress in my health collection. Earlier I tried a new tea while I was trying to decide how to color it. I'm thinking either all honey color or a combination of purple, blue, and green jewel times. I know I'm going to keep the hive honey colored and do the be wings grey. Any input is appreciated! (picture below) Right now I am trying to make French Macarons from scratch for the first time with a rose buttercream frosting. It's also my first time trying to make buttercream frosting. This is the winter I become a baker!

I'm so sorry that you're dealing with such a horrible thing. I am praying for all of you, and us.
Honey is made from many different flowers, and that creates different flavors. What if you use colors that represent flowers? Just a thought.4 -
^ There are also different tones/shades of honey. From pale yellow to rich gold, deep brown, reddish, etc... I love this project. So cute!2

A fresh week and a new day lie ahead.
I am starting my week with some positive thinking.
Let's see what I can achieve.
REPEAT AFTER ME!!!1
