I’m getting really close to maintenance weight. However, with the holidays coming up, I’d like to drop a few more pounds to give me some breathing room when I inevitably eat and drink too much.

10/25 - 146.5 - I'm happy I didn't have a bump up from yesterday.
10/26 - 146.5 - 3 days at the same weight is very unusual for me. I'm glad I didn't bounce up before the weekend!
10/27 - 147 - Well, here's the bounce. I had half a philly chicken gyro for supper last night and although I ate below maintenance for the day, I'm sure that sandwich had plenty of sodium. No regrets though, it was delicious and we only get carry out food a couple times a month. Back to more healthy eating for the rest of the weekend.
10/28 - 146.5 - We had tilapia and green beans last night and I passed on the mashed potatoes. My husband made no-bake cookies though and I had to have a half cookie. I will probably cave and have another one today, but he only makes them a couple times a year.
10/29 - 146.5 - I had a work conference today and ate out for lunch. I'm sure I'll have another bump up from the sodium. I'm eating out again tomorrow and will try to keep the choices a little healthier. This has been a bumpy week for me with all the extra restaurant food and cookies. I'm glad I'm in this thread, otherwise I may have gone overboard with all the food.
10/30 - 147 - I'm not surprised and tomorrow probably won't be any better. Back to a normal day at work for the next few days and back to the water and healthier food.
10/31 - 147 - Back to the office and better eating, water, and steps today.
11/01 - 147 - My food and steps were good yesterday, more water today.

11/0310 -
I've also been look ahead: the final weigh in day for this round is Saturday, aka, the day after I will be eating takeaway pizza and always retain fluid massively. I'm not hopeful for meeting my target this round.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/25: 67.3 - Yesterday would have been a very good day, but then my partner took the chocolate bomb pudding (that's a uk definition of pudding) out of the freezer and then that's an extra 414kcals onto the day. However, still 200kcals under burn, so a deficit is a deficit. Did have to edit the main course so that it wasn't a stupid amount over, so I'm fairly happy that I actually ended up under at the end of the day. Honestly, although it was good, I'm not sure it was worth the calories, and it's not going to be something I'm going to have to worry about working into my calorie budget very often. However, it has been a long time since I've eaten a very gooey chocolate pud, so it certainly satisfied an itch.
10/26: 66.8 - Yaaaaaas, broke that 66.x barrier! Genuinely did a little jump this morning as celebration. Not counting my chickens though. I'm expecting the number to go back up into 67s tomorrow tbh. I'm not counting it as a number down untill I get at least three (sometimes two) consecutive days in that number. Yesterday was fine. I'm aware I barely drank anything during the day yesterday which isn't good. But I also felt satisfied with my breakfast and lunch, something that I've been struggling with lately. Made room for KFC and was only just over calories for the day. And although I'm never sure quite how accurate those calories given are, I should be reasonably safe as I, again, didn't eat the burger lid so that'll be saving maybe as much as 100kcals I've not accounted for, so I'm guessing that'll probably balance itself out
10/27: 66.9 - Very difficult day Friday. I had a funeral that was a really tough one. Ate loads at the wake, but then made up for it by ending up not eating dinner. But gosh there was a lot of cake.
10/28: Didn't weigh - I knew this was going to be a big one. So went to my niece's birthday party. A meal out: fish and chips and was surprised how full I felt and so I didn't actually eat it all. Although the fish was enormous and the batter was only okay, so I took a lot of it off and just ate the plain fish. Then back to their house for cake (which was delicious, but nutella icing, omg, so bad, but so good). Then off to my friends for a Halloween party. A bottle of wine and some nibbles later, pretty sure I've under logged.
10/29: 67.7 - Yeeeeaaaah. So I'm not surprised about that. After 3 high calorie days I'm fully expecting my weight to be fluctuating up. Yesterday was also not a very good day on the food. Hangover food day, and bottomless pit of a stomach. Ugh, very hard. However, slightly surprisingly I was actually under my maintenance calories for the day (according to my fitbit, which I've verified and is pretty accurate). My partner bought me 2 custard slices which I ate as breakfast and both are surprisingly less than other breakfast options. Then I ate both a ready meal curry and a full pizza for lunch, but then proceeded to be far too full to be able to eat very much for dinner, so it almost evened itself out. Hopefully that weight will lower down now I'm getting back to the lower calorie options again for today.
10/30: 67.7 - Weighed after breakfast so I'm probably more likely at least 0.5 lower than that, but still. Anyway, much happier with yesterday, ate well and 90 minutes of very hard judo. Quite sore this morning with an interesting selection of bruises and my shoulders achy, but love that feeling of working really hard. On top of that I also made my step target (doesn't always happen on training days as I have to take off my fitbit for training). So all in all and excellent day!
10/31: 67.3 - Finally down, was looking for less than this, but I'll take the drop. A surprisingly good day yesterday, ate only just above calories and that was with what was probably not the best choice of lunch. Stepped well during the day, but didn't keep my exercise up in the evening so didn't hit my daily step goal (frustrating). However, I'm back keeping a sensible deficit and I'm still mildly hopeful I might get to my round goal this round.
11/01: 67.1 - Yesterday was not very good. Someone left cake on the desk next to me and it was looking at me all day. I ate too much cake. And the worst bit was that it wasn't even that nice. The icing was hard and very sweet (actually I left a lot of the icing) and the sponge was good, but the jam and cream filling were also very sweet. However, made up for it somewhat, by sticking with the lower calorie option of a stirfry for dinner (instead of the chips, chips and more chips I really wanted) and have still managed to stay below burn. Only just mind, but I'm not going to knock it. I also got loads of steps in during the work day, and then spent all evening on my bum on the sofa playing games and so still didn't make my target. Oh well. Better today, hoping to get out for a run in the rain after work (I'm one of those insane people who prefer running in the rain)

Challenge SW (10/24): 182.8
UGW: 140 lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
10/25 182.7 lbs (-0.1)/ I ate a little bit over my caloric goal and had just over 1,500 calories for the day. I ate all healthy foods, but to be honest I probably put a little too much salt on my steak. I also had good news yesterday, I thought I had injured my back but the physical therapist touched my back and in less than a second said I had a huge knot and my muscles were just seizing up from it. He worked the knot out and the sharp pains were gone! He said I could go back to exercising and that it would actually be good for my back muscles to be engaged.
10/26 182.1 (-0.6)/ So I'm actually really proud of myself for yesterday. I ate 1,392 calories when I allow myself up to 1,500 (And sometimes a little over). I just simply was not hungry enough to eat anymore, this is big for me because I normally always feel hungry.
10/27 N/A I was unable to weigh in today. We were moving so I was very busy. I did keep to my daily calories during the busy day so I am proud of that. Will weigh in tomorrow.
10/28 182.4 (+0.3) With Moving we did end of eating some McDonalds. I did keep a deficit but I'm sure that the sodium was through the roof. So I was assuming this was a water weight influx.
10/29 N/A
10/30 181.9 (-0.5)/ Moving has been kinda crazy but I tried my best to stay at a calorie deficit (and I did!). Finished moving now so I can now be more focused on eating healthy and exercising.
10/31 180.6 (-1.3) Sticking to my 1,500 calories, I will allow myself up to 1,700 if I need it because I know I will not gain weight eating that much. So I'm pretty happy about this drop (probably mostly water weight, but still!), I know I've lost weight very quickly in the past by sticking to 1,200 calories but I was never able to maintain that and I always failed. Hoping by not being as restrictive on my calories this time I will be able to maintain and succeed!
11/01 180.8 (+0.2)/ Not gonna sweat over the slight gain. I stuck to my calories and did an hour on the elliptical yesterday (did not eat back any exercise calories). I probably just didn't drink enough water.

Sunrise this morning was spectacular! I'm looking forward to a nice walk on the river greenway. Then I'm off to the dr's office - I was pruning a rose yesterday and it fought back. I'm sure there's a thorn tip embedded in my leg (nice finish to a long scratch) and my hubby couldn't get it and I can't reach it very well. That'll be fun! Have a lovely day, all!

I've decided to change my look with a new haircut to go with my new body. Going short, and with my curly mop, it should be easy peasy maintenance. Let's hope weight maintenance follows suit! Have a lovely weekend, all!
10/27 - 134.4 - 1258 - 10-day ave 1279
I had a pretty good workout in the garden yesterday moving two big rose bushes, three daylilies, and three hostas, and planting some mini irises I got free a while back. It rained all night and is still raining, so everyone is nicely watered in. I'm hoping to put in some bulbs this afternoon or tomorrow. One of my favorite ways to spend a fall day - and a drop on the scale is a nice reward!
10/28- 134.6 - 1104 - 10-day ave 1278
Woohoo! Last day of my elimination diet! Tomorrow I start adding things back, one by one, starting with eggs. Based on lingering pain, I don't know that it's done much for my inflammation - blood work tomorrow will tell us more - but I have lost 6.5 pounds in the 6 weeks (not bad this close to my UGW) on a macro ratio of 55-60% carbs (mostly veggies & fruits with some rice, oatmeal, & legumes), 20% protein, & 20-25% fat. I haven't felt particularly deprived, but I am looking forward to adding eggs, peppers, tomatoes, peanutbutter, and muesli!
10/29 - 134.6 - 1221 - 10-day ave 1266
Busy day today, beginning with a blood draw for me to see if inflammation is down, and a leg x-ray for my doggy girl to see why she's limping intermittently (which we fear is linked to her liver nodules and enlarged lymph glands). She was most unhappy about going to THE BACK ROOM with the tech. :-( But I'm happily beginning the next phase of the food sensitivity testing, beginning with eggs! I added egg whites to my oatmeal this morning and look forward to an omelette for lunch. Sometimes it's the little things!
10/30 - 134.6 - 1216 - 10-day ave 1258
We're headed for 64 degrees F today so I'm planning to go for a nice walk this morning and plant a bunch of bulbs this afternoon, then painting class tonight. Life is good!
10/31 - 134.4 - 1353 - 10-day ave 1272
Blessed Samhain and Happy Halloween! Beware of goblins bearing calories - especially the dread potion added sugar! -- today!
11/01 - 134.4 - 1164 - 10-day ave 1263
November has arrived with chilly November rain in NE Indiana. I guess I have to face the fact that I'll be taking some of my walks on the gym treadmill for the next few months, though I still like to get outside when we don't have cold rain. Wishing you all a great November!

31/10: 85.9 kg (189.3 lps) -0.9kg / Although I could not stick to the calorie target yesterday (1800 instead if 1500), the result is still very good, and even way faster than I expected! (I am fully aware, that it’s not fat which goes away that fast, as it’s impossible, bet it is still very motivating). Pilates training is scheduled for tonight.
01/11: 86.1 kg (189.8 lbs) +0.3kg / Hmmm, but small fluctuations apparently are OK. It was again 1800 kCal instead of 1500 yesterday, but with my current weight and activity level I should still burn more than 1800 per day. So, not that bad.

Start of Round 57 Weight: 186.6
I have lost 106 pounds so far and my goal is to get down to between 10-12% body fat (Currently about 16.1%) and then slowly bulk to gain muscle. These last 10 lbs. or so have really been giving me fits, so I thought I would join this challenge to give me a little extra motivation.
Day/Weight/Comment
10/25 186.6 - Had a pretty good day. Got a late night lift in about midnight last night with 2 miles (1 before, 1
after) on the treadmill. Need to do better on sleep. Averaging about 4 hours per night this week.
10/26 186.6 - Yesterday had an active day. Did a triceps and abs session and then ran a treadmill 5k at an easy
pace (6.5) for just under 29 minutes. Had about 15,000 steps along with the workout, so got to eat
some extra calories yesterday (2239). Deadlifts await today.
10/27 187.4 - Normal fluctuation. Didn't get my workout in because I was gonna go after watching World Series Game 3. 18 innings and 7:20 later...it was 2:30 am here when game ended. So i will try to double up today on my workouts. Also ate calories that go on today's diary last night during game after midnight so that explains the gain.
10/28 189.4 - Played and walked 18 holes of golf for over 15,000 steps. Pigged out at family get together on high carb and high sodium foods. 300+ carbs when I'm usually around 180-200 and 6600+ sodium. So I figured I would be a up a few today. It's normal for me to fluctuate 3-5 lbs based on water weight. So, no worries, back at it today and it should shed over the next few days. After losing 107 lbs, it's good to know my body well enough that I don't freak out over water weight fluctuations like I would have at the beginning.
10/29 188.6 - Pretty good day. Slightly over calories (Mexican food is my weakness). Normally my rest day, but I made up my lifting workout from Friday (Deadlifts, Assisted Pull-Ups, Overhead Press, Bicep Curls and Chest Flys). Also bowled in my Sunday evening bowling league. Hopefully will continue to shed water weight today, and I will have another lifting session today and may try to go play some basketball for cardio tonight if I can get away for long enough.
10/30 187.4 - Played full court basketball for almost 2 hours. Over 14,000 steps total. Food intake was pretty good, had a nice deficit for the day and ended up with 181 grams of protein. Plan on lifting today (Squat Day). See if we can eliminate the remainder of the water weight from last weekend. Checked body fat % and am down to about 15.1%. About 3-5% from goal on BF. Can't wait to bulk so I can up the calories some and intake more food 😁
10/31 - 187.0 - Got a really good lift in (Squats, Bench, Incline Bench, Seated Rows, Triceps). Set a couple of lifting PR's, which was fun. Also shot some baskets in the basketball gym at the Y for about 30 minutes for some cardio. Stayed around 1900 calories for a nice deficit for the day. 144 ounces of water. Waist size was down today to 33.25 inches (started over 50). Cardio day today for me.
11/01 - 187.4 - Didn't get a workout per se as I took my kiddos trick or treating. Got about 3 miles of walking in doing that however and over 11,000 steps on the day. Had a lot of sodium yesterday and feel like I'm retaining some extra water. Lifting today and will try to add abs as well since I normally do them on my cardio days but missed yesterday.

Stay under my calorie goal of 1,400.
Exercise:
Walk at least an hour 3 days a week.
Weight training 1 day a week
Other 1 day a week for an hour (biking/tennis/water aerobics or walking if nothing more fun is available)
Walk 38.6 miles in October (I ended up at 40.1)
Walk 45 miles in November
Day/Weight/Comment
10/25 - 192.6 No exercise yesterday. I drove for more than 5 hours, that was enough "exercise" for me. Good news I got a new asthma script. I didn't pick it up because I was too tired. Let's hope this new insurance means I can afford more than just the rescue inhaler. I'm crabby but still staying in calorie goal and plan on walking tonight.
10/26 - 190.9 No exercise again yesterday, but that stinky water weight is gone! I have been very tired the last two nights. MS can sometimes sneak up on me with a little exhaustion when I'm not looking. I hope to be back on track (trails really hahaha) this weekend. A short walk at lunch today (2 miles) and then a long walk either Saturday or Sunday and a 3 miler the other day. Fingers crossed the weather agrees Last round I over estimated my goal, this round I underestimated. My amended goal for Round 57 is 189. I have 8 days to do it.
10/27 - 191.0 Went to the Farmer's Market walked 1.25 miles! Up slightly, nothing to worry about. Stayed within calorie goals but it was an emotional day.
10/28 - 191.6 Stress and sodium are the culprits. I hope I should have walked but got caught up in other things. I did shop a lot so there was walking there but I didn't turn on the app to count distance. Staying within calorie goals but sodium is high again.
10/29 - 192.9 DANG IT. I'm certain it's the stupid sodium. I ate out a lot and while I can stay in calorie goals but restaurants LOVE salt. My walking goals didn't happen. I had originally wanted to walk 50 miles in October but being sick for a week killed that. That pace was 1.61 miles a day - adjusting for a week off I need to hit 38.6. I'm at 33.2. I have to walk 5.4 miles in the next 3 days to hit my goal. Even if I don't hit my weight goal, I feel like I will have accomplished something if I can hit my mileage goal.
10/30 - 191.4 That's more like it. I still need to lose another pound to make the Round goal. I was crazy on 10/26, full of confidence that I would keep that weight off and lose more. Walked 4.15 miles yesterday, that puts me at 37.3 for the month. It was the perfect fall day for walking. I do need to leave a little earlier, it was straight dark by the time I got back to the car. I will make the 38.6 miles. Tonight is weights at the gym night and tomorrow is Halloween.
10/31 - 191.4 At least it's not going up! I am ending October with slightly over 40 miles. I am proud of myself for making a goal, being thwarted by asthma for a week, adjusting my goal for something I couldn't control and instead of being discouraged kept with it. In addition to walking over 2.5 miles at lunch yesterday, I went to the gym to work out on weight machines for over an hour. I stayed under my calorie goal so I had hoped for a drop today but I have 3 days to drop a pound. I haven't bought any Halloween candy yet, so I didn't get into it. I'm going at lunch and hopefully I can just try one of each...
11/1 - 190.1 WOOHOO!!! I was even bad last night. I had 5 - count them 5 mini candy bars. I had decided it's Halloween a little indulgence won't kill me. Wake up this morning and I'm down. The weight loss gods are fickle creatures, sometimes they need a mini-Snickers to appease them. Though I am NOT suggesting anyone do that. It would be nice if I end up at 189 after all. It would be SOOO nice to be in the 180's. I have set a goal of walking 45 miles in November. I cut it back from 50 because I doubt I'll be able to walk outside and I know I won't walk as much on a treadmill. If I do hit 50 it will be BONUS TIME!!!!!!!!

Round 56 SW - 207.4 EW - 206.8
Round 57
Oct 25 - 206.6 everything is going so well! I feel great. I hope I don’t mess it up today. I don’t have lunch or supper planned and have a Halloween dance at my daughters school.
Oct 26 - 206.2 I guess things worked out well yesterday. I found something for lunch and dinner that was within my range. At the Halloween dance there was no food which is a nice change - to go to an event that is really just about the fun of dressing up and the spirit of Halloween! Now the challenge of the weekend ahead! My goal is to try and get some time today to pre plan my meals.
Oct 27 - 207.4 I wasn’t going to post but I know by posting it will help me today. I guess I went a little overboard yesterday. It’s also the TOM so I’m hoping everything will be better tomorrow.
Oct 28 - 208.2
Oct 29 - 206.8 - I’m always amazed at how much salty foods affects my weight. One day of eating clean and drinking lots of water and it’s back down again. Feeling good and motivated to keep everything in check. Looking forward to getting a walk in at lunch. Lots of water and Sri into plan today.
Oct 30 -205.8. I don’t think this number is realistic. I had to make a rush trip to the mall last night to get my son a Halloween costume. I wasn’t expecting it and it took longer than I hoped. By the time I got home it was too late to eat dinner.
Oct 31 - 206.2. This is probably a more realistic number. My goal for today is to eat according to my plan. But the ultimate goal is to limit the Halloween goal - if I have some calories have one but that’s it.
Nov 1 - 206.4 - I guess I had too many of those delicious Halloween chocolates! Today’s goal - drink a lot of water and stick to the plan in my journal

Late starting this time. I was on vacation and gained 6.4 pounds in 6 days. I thought I did much better than I normally do on cruises and although I expected a gain, I was very disappointed by how large of a gain it was. I've been back for almost a week now and I'm doing better on my eating but haven't gotten back into logging everything and haven't started back to the gym.
Goals this round:
Log food in MFP 4/4 days (only 4 days left this round)

Drink 54+oz water 4/4 days
Weight <= 267.2 (>=1.0 lb loss in 4 days
Round 57
10/31: 268.2 (+2.0 since 10/20) Today was the final weigh-in for my work weight-loss challenge. It was based on percentage of body weight lost. I lost 8%. My goal was 10%. I know that 8% is a great loss, but I can't help being disappointed that I didn't make my goal. I've decided to keep that goal weight as my end of the year goal. 9.2 lbs doesn't seem like a lot in nearly 9 weeks time, but actually being at that weight or less will be a challenge considering all of the holidays and I have a 7 day cruise coming up after Thanksgiving. As much as I want to slack off now that the work challenge is over, I must stay controlled! Finished the day at 1203 calories, 64oz water
11/1: DNW. Had a rough time getting going this morning. Brain would not engage and totally forgot to weigh (several other instances of my brain not working too - forgot my phone, turned the wrong direction). I think I'm down because my weight last night was the same as morning weight (yes, I'm a little obsessive and usually end up weighing twice a day but only record the morning weight).10 -

I often weight in the morning and at night. I like it when I'm close to my morning weight because that means a good drop the next morning. I don't know if it's obsessed - I like to think of it as tuning in with my body. A doctor might give a different answer

10/31 - 215 - Hello, my friends! I've been stupidly busy but always intending to come back and see all the new faces and the progress or maintenance of the veterans. I'm pretty pleased with where I am. This is 37 pounds down from my start. My goal is 40 down by the end of the year (I'm taking the slow and unsteady approach).
11/01 - 215.8 - A little bounce up after a major drop. Story of my weighloss life! It's all good. I've decided to do the 100 pushups challenge to try to get to a point where I can do 100 pushups in a row by the end of 2019. I'm really bad right now, but you can't do anything if you never try! I think I will restart C25k next week. I completed it years ago, but am ready to try again.

25/10 Started including my trendweight as that is what I tend to use for my weekly weigh ins rather than my actual weight. I got a quick weights session in after work yesterday, before I rowed 7.5km (to the pub and back ). Today's goals are to enjoy my rest day and eat below maintenance, I take a couple of days around maintenance just before shark week to stop my cravings spiralling totally out of control.
26/10 Had a good rest day, 10000 steps but no intentional exercise and enjoyed pizza and a couple of craft beers, calories were actually under deficit total for the day, nevermind maintenance so that was a bonus. Today's goal is to stay sensible whilst travelling over this bank holiday weekend, I won't be weighing in til Monday now as I will be away in Galway
31/10 Had a lovely weekend in Galway, food/drink evened out to about maintenance over the weekend and did plenty of walking. Didn't get as much exercise done Monday & Tuesday as I'd have liked as I had to spend a good bit of time working on call. Feeling quite slovenly as a result. Hopefully the rain will hold off an I can maybe get out for a run after my weights tonight. Goal for today is to trial a 10 minute timer/breathing exercise if I get a stress craving.
01/11 Managed to stave off most cravings yesterday and came in under calorie goal. Goal for today is to get steps in and get out for a run.11 -

This is my fourth round. I think the best part of this challenge is that in recording the weight every day with a comment, I talk myself down from the hype that comes with weighing myself every day. Sometimes, anyway. I have to say I still got frustrated with just 0.5 loss last challenge in 10 days. But still, noting that I lost 4 lbs last challenge, I did sort of maintain perspective! Slow and steady wins the race! We can do this!!

10/25 171.5 -- This is so frustrating. Yesterday walked for an hour, hour strength class at YMCA, hour of zumba. Finished day with 1000+ calorie deficit. Weighed in a pound heavier. Everyday I'm hoping for the big whoosh....and instead it's up 1 or 2 lbs and then down 1/2. Oh well. I feel good. I'm not starving. My pants fit.
10/26 168.5 -- I think this might be the real whoosh....although yesterday a couple hours after eating bacon and fathead pizza for lunch I got queasy and just couldn't fathom dinner, so was well under calories. 15000 steps yesterday including a walk and zumba. Also did water aerobics. Hoping this number sticks.
10/27 168 -- So excited to be in a new decade that I forgot to post it yesterday! Queasiness was gone yesterday. Hour walk and water aerobics. Went out to Chinese restaurant for late lunch. Skipped the rice and had spicy chicken and veggie stir fry and pea greens. Then...just cheese sticks and peanuts for dinner because I went with my son (who plays in band) to the football game.
10/28 168.5 -- I'm pleased with this. Got up yesterday, went to zumba, did a moderately fast walk for an hour to collect extra calories. Big egg scramble for lunch and then went to a costume cocktail party with my husband and stuck to the pulled pork & chicken, no bun, and brie and assorted dips on veggies. My husband and I then shared 3 mini cupcake sized desserts. Enjoyed two glasses of red wine. Seems like my choices worked ok!
10/29 168 -- Ate within calories, including guestimate of snacks at Costco. Took a long walk. 12000+ steps.
10/30 169 -- Here we go again. Assuming it's going to bounce up and down before dropping again. Took a hike instead of zumba and a walk. Only burned 250 calories and then went out to lunch. Had to make up for it with the elliptical later. Ended the day with 500 calories surplus, beyond MFP allotment.
10/31 168.5 50 minute walk before the dentist. 500 calorie surplus. 12,000 steps. Trying not to get too excited, as I'm probably going to bounce around!
11/1 168.5 Power walk, strength class and zumba. 21000 steps. I had a huge calorie deficit, (even after two glasses of wine and 1 1/2 funsize chocolates). Glad this number is sticking. It may go down. I felt low on salt yesterday and had broth after 9....which probably did not help the weigh-in!

Day/Weight/Comment
🎀10/25 - 178.4 - An early weigh in, but I'm certain this is true. An impromptu day out with a friend threw me off of my normal pattern. Did not drink enough water. Did not drink my electrolytes. Ate POPCORN. I bought some popcorn kernels to pop corn for my husband. WHY did I eat 2 cups of popcorn? I don't even eat corn or grains. So I deserve this temporary gain.
🎀 10/26 - 178.8 - Even though my weight dropped to 176.6 , don't forget who I am. Super Spongebarb. Lol. It will come back down. I looked back over the past 2 weeks of my diary and I've had more than a few days eating less protein than I should. Gotta correct that.
🎀 10/27 - 177 - better on carbs and water, protein in target?
🎀10/28 - 178.4 - All macros over settings yesterday. I do not fast Friday through Saturday.
🎀10/29 - 178.2 - Salt water flush today. Drank it an hour ago, nothing yet. 😦 Lol. My husband went to a friend's house yesterday to watch the football game and brought food home. He sits a plate covered in foil next to me and walks away. I thought it was for him to eat later. I look under the foil, 3 big cookies. I laughed, told him no thanks and put them in a sandwich bag. Smh
🎀10/30 - 176.6 😀
🎀 10/31 - 177.6 - You MUST have a sense of humor when it comes to daily weigh ins. Especially when you've been true to your plan. I'm pretty sure this is because, once again, I did not drink my electrolytes. 😳 I will this morning.
11/1-178.4 - Tired this morning. Retaining some fluid. Ate dinner during my fasting hours. A couple tbsps of peanut butter and my keto seed porridge with 2 additional tablespoons of chia seeds, because I added a little bit too much water to it.😕

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. On the other hand when I look at the big picture and the averages it has been a consistent loss except for two rounds. Round 53 was my 50 birthday celebrations that upped my weight for a few days.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

10/25 165.6 Back for a new round! Hoorah! My weight is a little up, but I did what I needed to do, so it’ll come down soon. Yesterday was raining, so Thor and I didn’t get in a walk, but I did a Chalean Extreme workout. I must have done it correctly, because it was hard, as Chalean says it should be. Today, I’ll spend most of the day playing cards with friends (and watching calories).
10/26 165.0 Thor and I got in our 4 miles this morning. I’m amazed at how much his fitness is improving. We have a one acre yard, but he spends a lot of time in the house and only runs when cows, donkeys, or strangers are at the fence or an unwelcome small animal is in his yard. This walk is good for both of us! I have concerts with my gospel group this weekend, one this evening, two tomorrow, and two Sunday. All our songs are choreographed, so we get a little exercise. We carry our own equipment and set up our sound, too. No hikes with Thor this weekend, but four of us in the group are watching what we eat. We will hold each other accountable.
10/27 165.6 Early morning departure for weekend concert engagements. A church fed us lunch, and we had dinner at Dairy Queen. I had two bites of a cake at the church, and, confession time, I had a full sugar Coke at the hotel. I thought I would be able to get a Diet Dr. Pepper or Coke Zero from the vending machine, but no such luck. My Zevia sodas were locked in the bus.
10/28 No scale. Again, I allowed myself two bites of cake and a little piece of watermelon and cantaloupe at the church that provided lunch. No exercise, either day, other than performing and setting up equipment. It was an encouraging, enjoyable weekend of presenting our songs and testimonies in accordance with our theme this year of “Sharing Jesus With Urgency!” Only eleven days before we leave on our 10-day singing tour. That will be a challenge to the dietary goals of the four of us losing weight.
10/29 166.0 A little gain, but I still hope to show a loss this round. Thor and I only walked 3 miles this morning, because the Morton’s Neuroma was hurting my foot. I wore new hiking books and a metatarsal pad, but I suspect the pad needed to be moved further to the right on my foot. I’ll continue to experiment.
10/30 165.4 I sure would like to lose a little more before the end of the round. I’m still up .2 lb from the Round 56 finish. Because of toe pain, Thor and I had to keep our walk at 3 miles again. We stopped to help neighbors helping a local business owner—move tables and chairs and sweep. I early-voted yesterday, so I’m trying to remember why I feel like I need to go into town today.
10/31 164.4 To be sure, I mounted the scale 3 times and got the same reading each time. Whew! I remembered this morning I needed to go to town for a haircut yesterday. Now, I have to wait until tomorrow and hope my favorite hairdresser is working. More exercise is supposed to improve my brain function—I hope it helps. It’s a rainy day, so Thor is disappointed to miss our walk. Meet my sweet Thor, 3-yr-old long-coat German Shepherd.
11/01 164.4 No change. No walk today, either—it’s strictly a social day with friends. As soon as I get home, I have to study tax law. It was pointed out that my dates were wrong yesterday--corrected now, the weekend of travel threw me off. Have a wonderful November day!

10/25 147.0 ??? Today is a long day with after school workshops for the parents. We'll be ordering dinner. Persian food is one of my favorites. 12 hour work day - 11k steps
10/26 150 Hmmm. I expected to be a little higher than yesterday but not this much. I'll drink lots of water and see where this goes tomorrow. I won't let this bump lead me into a downward spiral like it did last round. I actually ended the last round not far from where I started, so I could have lost weight by sticking it out.
10/27 149.2 Weight after breakfast because I forgot.
Great workout with my trainer today. My Physical Therapist said not to work on biceps, but I feel that listening to my her is contributing to my freezing shoulder. I'm going to trust my personal trainer to know how to help me exercise without further injuring my shoulder. Concert tonight at the Hollywood Bowl with a picnic dinner - I can't wait and will be making healthy choices so that I can splurge a little with my beverage.
10/28 150 Had a great time last night. Time to chug the water. Food prep day
10/29 150 Within calories, went to the gym.
10/30 150.4 Just a little over calories. Didn't stress during my meeting. Someone next to me was eating peanuts and candy, and though she offered me some, I refused.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/25 = 143.5 (up 2.5 lbs from yesterday) Hate to start a new round with a "gain" but this was expected and just a little blip up from my party last night. We had such a good turnout with a great group of ladies, super fun but way too many nibbly foods and cocktails. This should drop right back down in the next couple of days. The last round I was way off track with getting my workouts in & logging, but I practiced intuitive eating and was able to eek out a small loss. Getting out of these 140's is hard but I also have not been truly committed since I sprained my ankle. But all healed and ready to be back at it, giving it 100%. "If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down."

10/27 Did not weigh-in
10/28 Did not weigh-in
10/29 =143.4 (down .01 lbs, still up 2.4 lbs) I was out of the loop over the weekend. My daughter was sick all last week with a fever, cough, chills, and just very weak. She missed almost the entire week of school. We went to the doctor and had a chest x-ray done as there are 5 confirmed diagnosed cases of pneumonia at her school currently, but thankfully hers was all clear. She is back at school today, so I can focus a little bit on me now. My husband has asthma, so he is always so susceptible to anything respiratory illness related, so now he has bronchitis and an ear infection - ugh! Fingers crossed everyone is recovered by Halloween! Yesterday, I finally got back to my 90 day challenge and completed the day 73 yoga, felt super good! So far today, I am back on track with logging after taking a bit of time off from that, have the day 74 workout scheduled and hope to get in my 1st run since spraining my ankle on 9/27. I've also got to go to the store to get a treat for our cat, it's National Cat day, so will pick up the ingredients for the @tiabirdie56 bloat relief water. Have a great day everyone!
10/30 = 143.3 (down .01 lbs, still up 2.3 lbs) Ended up super busy day and got neither workout nor run in, logged about half of my day, still not on track with my nutrition.
10/31 = 142.3 (down 1.0 lbs from yesterday, still up 1.3 lbs) Yesterday was a beautiful fall day in New England, in the mid 40's with a bit of a chill, my favorite running weather! I went out mid-day and got in my 1st post sprained ankle run, so happy to be a runner again Only did a little over a mile & half just to see how everything felt. My ankle was fine but felt a little twingy in my opposite knee during the run and immediately after, but all fine now. Just one of those weird mystery pains. I also got in day 75 of 90 which was 45 secs of each x 3 rounds of Wide Plie Squat with Hop, Push Up Jacks, Curtsy Lunge to Outside Knee Lift, Side Plank with Hip Drop and Knee Pull In, Triceps Dips with 3 Kicks and Dips, Jump to Side Lunge and Touch, & Single Leg Elevated Bridge Pullover w/ Weight. Feeling this workout today in my quads & booty. Excited for Halloween tonight, my daughter's middle school lets them wear costumes all day and then has a costume contest during each of the lunch periods. She is dressed as a "baby", has on a pink onesie, polka dot bib, hair in double ponies with big pink bows,& has an oversized pacifier, rattle, & bottle. For trick or treating tonight, she is going spooky as the urban legend "Bloody Mary". I'm pretty excited about my ghost costume, there is a hoop skirt involved, and a super dramatic tulle hooded cape. Our town is such a great Halloween town, wishing everyone a fun and safe evening if you are celebrating out and about tonight!
11/01 = 149.3 (up 7.0 lbs from yesterday) So, I know I did not gain 7 lbs overnight, but wow! that's a harsh number to see this morning. I normally weigh-in 1st thing in the morning, but this weigh-in was about an hour after getting up and having a cup of tea and a glass of water, so hopefully that contributed to this crazy number! But part of this is from that fact that I did overindulge yesterday with: a little Halloween candy (1 full sized Snickers bar & a 3 fun sized Laffy Taffy's), a couple of glasses of red wine, and we ordered late night pizza when we got back from Trick or Treating. I practice IF 16:8, so I normally do not eat after 6:30/7:00 but this pizza was at 10:00 p.m. + gluten & dairy which I usually limit. So lot's of contributing factor to this uptick on the scale. But today is a new day & it is a new month, so back on track. But I have no regret & will not beat myself up over this, if you can't enjoy a fun holiday like Halloween, this just won't be sustainable in the long run. Yesterday was a rest day in my 90 day challenge but I did get out and get a short run in...the good news, still pain free & my pace is right on track, so the month off due to injury didn't have me lose any of my running fitness

Day/Weight/Comment
10/25 still a solid 70kg, which is just fine, especially given the last few days eating and lack of exercise. Will abandon counting after lunch as it's my last day in my current job! Dates for my flight out to Zambia will be decided in the next couple of days.
10/26 70kg - weighed after breakfast. Had a great eve with a beautiful cake in shape of a condom :') (I work in family planning), ended the night with pizza, leftovers are my lunch now.
I actually have a 5k fun run tonight with a couple of friends, so better get this hangover under control! Diet, logging and proper exercise starting tomorrow.
10/27 70kg - very happy with this, and even if i don't get below this round, that'll be fine. Managed to do my 5k run in good time yesterday. Today I have to go back to logging. Exercise will be tidying up and sorting out things at home. Will also go for a walk to get my steps in and back to boxing tomorrow. Happy weekend all.
10/28 70.5 ok ok, i can't even be annoyed at this. TOM is imminent, went over cals with snacks in the eve - not creazy, and I didn't log my tidying&cleaning yesterday. Today: boxing class and more tidying / preparing to pack.
10/29 70kg
Yesterday's boxing class was not very good. We had a new instructor on trial who didn't have us do a proper warm up and overall was pretty bad. Went for a walk in the afternoon to get my steps in. Did have quite a few snacks, but almost within calories. I need to stop buying them really.
Today, it's my first proper day at home without a job, walked my husband to the station and later plan to go for a run.
10/30 70kg - did my run yesterday, drank Tish's water, thanks @tiabirdie
Last night, a friend was in town unexpectedly, so we went for a couple of drinks and some bar snacks. My lunch and dinner before that were rather estimated as it was left over food that I modified. Overall only slightly over cals.
Today, I already hit my step goal after running around the shops - finding office wear suitable for 30C in autumn is not easy. TOM in full swing, all I want is chocolate.
10/31 70.5kg, this is deserved. Went completely overboard with cookies last night watching the final of Great British Bake Off. The cookies werr meant for my husband's advent calendar - turns out he's not bothered about them... Off for a run now. I'm doing ok with exercise, but can't get in the zone for yoga. I'll start that next week again.
The next days/ will be challenging, many good bye drinks and meals. I will still check in, but may not log exactly.
11/01 70kg again. Yesterday wasn't as bad as I had feared. Within cals, ate all exercise cals back.
Today, I went to my last boxing class this morning, then my phone died on the way home so I miss out on around 2-3000 steps on the app. I already indulged in some snacks - was very hungry when I got back home and will go out for dinner/drinks again tonight.

October recap: I exceeded my running, boxing and step/distance goals - very pleased with that. I'm down 2kg (4.4lbs) from 1st Oct, but that had been up from travel. Not lost as much as I would have liked and also not quite hit my goal of being below 70kg, but a few months ago, I would have given up with all that's happened. Also just saw that I had TOM twicd this month, my cycle seems to keep getting shorter.
No November goals set just yet.10 -

I derailed myself last year undoing a lot of good work. After a long absence from myfitnesspal I am back on track. This 10 day challenge seems like something I can do. I am joining in with Round 57.
Age 59
Height 5ft 10 1/2"
Pre-challenge SW 313 lbs (started back at myfitnesspal Oct 1st. Down 15 lbs in the 3 weeks prior to this challenge).
SW for the challenge 298 lbs (I have a photo to prove it, I'll take a new one at the start of every week).
GW sometime in early 2020 195 lbs (several beautiful Italian double-breasted suits await me).

11/01 294 lbs My cousin came over yesterday to sit with me while I manned the Halloween candy giveaway. He brought some Ruffino Prosecco with him. I had a couple of glasses, and very good it was too, but that has to stop. Other than candy / doughnuts, nothing undoes the good work faster than booze. So we talked about my need to not have him enabling my counter-productive habits. He'll bring Pelligrino mineral water next visit. I expect the Prosecco will show up on the scales on Nov 2nd.
Down 4 lbs so far this 10 day challenge.
Down 4 lbs so far on challenges (I plan on doing more of them).
Down 19 lbs total since I came back to myfitnesspal.

10/25 150.5 Late posting today but I did weigh this morning. Glad the little bit I gained came off pretty quickly. 😊
10/26 150 Yayyy! Definitely made me happy to see this number this morning. I shared a story on my personal page yesterday that when I went for my walk, I seen an elderly lady that I met several months ago and haven't seen since. She knew who I was once we started talking, but she said the reason she didn't recognize me at first was my weight loss. Feels great to be noticed 😊
10/27 150 I will be away for the rest of the weekend so I won't have access to a scale tomorrow. Will try and still post though. I am going to a fall festival tonight and I have no idea what kind of foods there will be. Plan to eat light! 10/28 Away, did not weigh- went to a Halloween party Saturday night, there were only hotdogs and lots of carb-y foods, so I did splurge a little.
10/29 150 whew I was afraid to step on the scale this morning from the weekend. No exercising yesterday or Saturday since I was away, and I had several treats but didn't over stuff myself. Also took a break from logging my foods. Back to logging and exercising today. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
10/30 150 the real test is gonna be tomorrow with all the Halloween candy. Only 4 more days to meet my goal for this round and get in the 140's. 10 days really go by fast!
10/31 149.5 Not holding on to this number though because tonight we are trick or treating and then going to a party, so will be lots of goodies and drinks.
11/01 151 annnddd I knew this was gonna happen. Not mad, not even upset because I am lucky I didn't gain 5+ pounds from the way I ate last night. Had a glass of wine also. Today is a new day, new month. Lots and lots of water today, and going to try and stay out of the brownies we had left over and kids candy!!

Round 57: My 1st Round
F/23/5’3’’/SW 59kg
10/25 – 58.7kg Exercised for 30min yesterday and ate healthy breakfast and lunch and ended up eating heavy dinner. I tend to eat more for dinners should try to control this.
10/26 – 58.5kg (-0.2kg) didn’t exercise at all yesterday, finished my dinner early rather than having late night dinners I decided to eat early and I am happy to see the difference. Will try to stick to this plan.
10/27 – 58.3kg (-0.2kg) Spent some time in the morning to exercise. I realized how difficult it is to burn calories and then how easy it is to eat all those calories, so whole day I was very choosy and careful about what I ate. I went out with friends and I said no to Pizzzaaa I can’t believe I did that!! Wow! and the prize for that is what I saw in the morning today a drop of 0.2kg! yay!!
10/28 – 58.3kg no exercise just ate within calorie limit.
10/29 – 58.5g (+0.2kg) reason for this was obviously all the cake, ice-cream and chips that I had yesterday, didn’t exercise…I will consider that to be a cheat day and will be back on track from today.
10/30 – 58.4kg (-0.1kg) Exercised for 15min, ate within calorie limit. Soo close to the end date and still have 500 grams more to lose...I have to start increasing my workout time but after working out for like 10 min I feel exhausted...planning to be on a fruit diet today and see if I feel any difference in weight.
10/31 – 58.3kg (-0.1kg) Yesterday I had one apple and few nuts and survived till evening and then came snacks time and I was so tired and gave up, ended up eating chips and then noodles…well then, I realized that I really messed up my day so I worked out for 30 min doing some core exercises.
11/01 – 58.2kg (-0.1kg) Yesterday I worked out in the morning and also in the evening, I can still feel the pain in my hands and legs…my best workout so far! Yesterday was a successful no junk food day, ate within calories. Two more days to go and 300 grams to see…I do want to see myself in the 57s by the end of this round. Determined to hit the gym for the next 3 days.
