I've taken a long break from actively trying to lose weight. My last weigh in was September 14th at 177.2. I've weighed myself maybe 3 times since then just to see and surprisingly I've been maintaining. I'm ready to start losing again. When I feel it getting overwhelming again, I'll just take another break. However I'm hoping this go round I make it all the way!

December 2 -193 - glad that I didn't gain, I was pretty over-indulgent over the weekend.
December 3 -194 - kind of discouraged with the fluctuation. I had a good day, expected a loss.
December 4 -194 - I really expected to be less this morning. On track to lose.

Well, we are all different. I think that I may retain fluid as well. I had a couple of very good days exercise and calorie wise and actually gained. Today I was down 2 pounds from yesterday. I realize that I didn't have any carbs for 2 days (not on purpose) and gained weight. Yesterday I did have carbs and the scale was down 2 lbs this morning. Maybe the fibre soaks up the water retention : - ) Who knows. I guess for me that I need to make sure to have some carbs everyday. And for you Tia you have to avoid them. Whatever works for our individual bodies right? I guess that I will have a piece of toast with my coffee this morning : - )2 -

@dawnbgethealthy, You are absolutely right everyone is different. i'm allergic to whole wheat and found out 4 years ago that I cannot eat grains. I still ate those foods but limited1

I’ve been losing and gaining the same 2 lbs for weeks it seems. I’m happy to be under 190. I’ve been kind of whiny at my slow progress so a few days ago I sat and really went over my food diary. I’ve adjusted my calories and macros for my current weight and activity level. I feel positive about my tweaks.
Lol of course this is a month of holiday parties and decadent food events. I really just want to keep up with my workouts and stay in the 180’s. I’m feeling pretty optimistic!

Fluctuation always happens because of muscle building. Stay on track and you will notice a change.
