Food Goals:

12/14 - Traveling no scale. I drove the 4 hours to St. Louis with the boyfriend. Went out for a nice dinner; I think I did well calorie wise. A half salad and half a flat bread - no dessert but 1 vodka cranberry spritzer thingy. First alcohol I have had in over a year (nothing to do with weight I just don't enjoy it that much anymore) got back to the hotel room and crashed. It's amazing to me 30 years ago I could go thru a fifth of whisky in a night and still be partying, now I have one spritzer and I'm knocked out.
12/15 - 186.5 Drove home yesterday. Weighed high due to TOM. It will be gone in the next few days.
12/16 - 184.3 Goodbye extra weight. Walked four miles in the cold sunshine yesterday and will probably do the same thing today though it's slightly colder. Went out with girlfriends last night and was bad. Yep I had a DELICIOUS sandwich but stopped at half. I had set this rounds goal low because I'll be baking later in the week and I'm on vacation. We'll see what I can stick to this round. It's challenging.
12/17 - 184.9 Up a little, it will go back down. I had a wonderful 4.75 mile walk yesterday. I wanted to get 5 in but I was with a partner and she wasn't feeling that last quarter mile. It's all good because I had only expected 4 but it was just so nice that we kept going. Today is the first day of my vacation. I need to finish decorating the house and get in a walk. I sound obsessive about getting in the walks but these outside walks help my mental health more than you can imagine. I was worried I would slow down with the cold and dark but I'm doing ok so far in December. We'll see what January brings. It will start getting lighter earlier but it will be colder.

12/14 - Friday - 174.4 - Salty dinner last night. TOM approaching and I'm ravenous. Just went out and got a sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin against my better judgement - I was already planning on eating a frozen pizza for dinner so it puts me at maintenance. Maybe I'll have half the pizza and a salad instead of the whole thing tonight. But again, so starving today so we will see. I dont know if its the undereating catching up to me or TOM but either way - reminding myself that its ok to follow my hunger cues and its not always going to be perfect choices. Remember what over restricting brings? Yeah...binging, well this wasnt a binge just a genuine starving moment and I knew the tiny leftovers lunch I packed was not going to cut it. But I will drink lots of water today so I'm not totally sodium bloated for dress try ons tomorrow. Aiming to maintain last rounds loss since it was a big one and TOM usually spikes the weight.

It'll probably catch up to me tomorrow - and TOM is due to arrive too so that was half the battle with cravings I gave into this weekend, pasta mostly. I did have a wonderful day with my mom Saturday and I found THE DRESS! But we also sampled many cupcakes and ate out afterward...But I was back on plan this morning and I'm moving on from all the crap I ate this weekend. I need to plan the next few days food wise. Lots of food in the house just need to prepare it! Managing stress as best I can this week too but as you all know that is much easier said than done!

12/14: 172.4 Eating out tonight and heading into the weekend. I want to make good choices. I have got to make good choices. I WILL make good choices.
12/15: 172.6. Win! Went out to eat last night. I chose the southwest salad. Even though I ordered half size, the salad was HUGE (at least a half head of lettuce). Soooo delicious. Lots of add ons but not a lot of anything. Dressing on the side. I've got a plan for today so I'm feeling good about the weekend and not having a "weekend gain" that I have to work on losing next week.
12/16: 172.0 Halfway through the weekend. It's looking good. Finish Christmas shopping today and do some gift wrapping. I have a good lunch planned and will get in some time on the treadmill. I'm hoping to keep up the downward trend so that next weekend when the family is here for lots of food and fun, I will be motivated to eat sensibly and not undo all my hard work.

12/15 - 174.6 - 17g carbs, 11g net carbs. Those carbs were:
1/8 serving of 85% dark chocolate, 1/2 square of ghiradelli dark chocolate salted caramel crunch, 1/4 cup roasted, salted macadamia nuts, also black walnuts on my haddock.
12/16 - 176.6 - 58g carbs, 54g net carbs. The non vegetable carbs were: Yes pretzels, but dip IS tastier with them. Onion dip. Macadamia nuts.
12/17 - 174.6 - 47g carbs, 46g net carbs. Fried chicken and some pretzels. Visited my sister and brother yesterday. I saw my brother about 5 months ago, but I have not seen my sister for 3 years and then just briefly. We looked over old family photos and reminisced about our two brothers who have passed. I know today will be very emotional for me as I think back on yesterday. Already started out that way.

12/15 ~ 230.8 @ 10:33am – Drank most of my calories at another party last night. So much fun, but not home until 4:00am, followed by a conference call @ 11 and very little sleep in between. After all those empty calories, about to make myself some brioche french toast and enjoy the rest of the day. Onwards and downwards fitfam!
12/16 ~ ?????? - A guest so no scale this morn and dining out tonight. Not sure where we'll end up so can't preplan, but did manage to get in first 30 min burst by 10am.

12/14 146.5 ~ (Steps 23,296) ~ Today I was about able to get a fabulous swimming session in plus make smart food choices. Yesterday a 1/2 hour before my Body Works class was scheduled, it got canceled AGAIN. So aggravating when you plan to go and they can’t get a reliable instructor, BTW, I would loveeee to be at least in the low 140’s by the end of the year. Focus focus focus.
12/15 144.2 ~ (Steps 23,187) ~ Extremely successful day, I went to a different location, my gym has at least 30 different locations so it was kind of cool checking out a different one. Plus I finally finished Christmas decorating, . My goal too is to be as close to 140 as possible. If I could figure out NOT to snack at night NOT so much, it would of happen long time ago,
12/16 145.3 ~ (Steps 16,757) ~ I don’t understand . We had a marvelous lunch, trying a new restaurant but I was wayyyyy under in my calories for the day,

I want this round to be the start of building consistency and habit in eating mindfully. Maybe throw in a little exercise. And if I can lose 1-2 pounds, that would be even better.
12/14 -147.5; I shouldn't be surprised by this because yesterday was full of salt and carbs. There's a part of me that keeps hoping that those delicious things won't have an impact, but they do. Today will be better.
12/15 -Traveling and no scale...I tried to be a little bit good, but had a too much fun at a holiday party.
12/16 -Traveling and no scale...I also had Taco Bell so I'm sure that wasn't the best idea.
12/17 -147.4; Down .1 pounds from my starting weight. Given that I didn't put as much effort as I should have, I'll take that as a positive. I'm back on my normal daily schedule now and back to intermittent fasting. I'm looking forward to some time off from work in the next few days so I can start easing myself back into a routine for working out and meal prep.

12/15 131.5 I may have mentioned that a friend of ours passed on Monday. This has had a huge impact on Carl which in turn is affecting me. I feel very disorganized this week and am having trouble getting anything accomplished. Carl and I went to a movie (The Mule) and lunch (Cici’s pizza in a bowl) then we came home and he made cookies for Roy’s memorial later this morning.

12/14: 198. I didn't actually weigh in today since I am traveling for work, but I weighed in yesterday knowing I wouldn't get to weigh in today, and I'm counting that. I'm disappointed, I've gained 9 lbs since July, after losing 15 lbs the few months before that. It's been a bit of a roller coaster and my motivation has been in short supply. But, passing 200 again is kind of a dire situation, so I'm motivated to try to bring my weight back down again.
12/15: 199. Ugh.
12/16: forgot to weigh in! Jeez.
12/17: 198.2. my eating has not been great with the holidays throwing curve balls at me right and left. I also spent the whole weekend making a gingerbread house so sugar and goodies were all around me. I'm determined to have a more austere week, though. In good news, I've been doing really good with my exercise.

Here we are again. Looked over all my rounds and realized that I’ve only lost around 3 lb. total. 😖 I’d lost about 4 lb. on MFP before joining this challenge. I feel like I’ve lost around 10 – which I have. I also gained 7. Have to be less complacent about it. I’m going to apply to go on a short course in April. That is 12-15 weeks away (about 10 rounds). So my more immediate goal is to lose 1 lb/round. The course is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time – I don’t have to lose weight for it but it would be sweet if I did.
Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June.

12/14 – 161.2 – Not sure why I’m up as yesterday was quite good. If I hang in there I think it won’t last. I haven’t gotten to the gym this week though because of this cold, so maybe it’s that and drinking a lot (to keep the coughing under control)
12/15 – 161.2 – Finished supper a little late but resisted the LNS and kept very close to calories.
12/16 – 161.6 – Another good day yesterday, was feeling much better so even did the vacuuming and mopped the floor. Eventually it must go down.
12/17 – 160.2 – Up to maintenance calories yesterday but payoff from the days before. Back to the gym this morning, yay!

am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

12/14 - University Hospital appointment went very well. They are not recommending a mastectomy for me, at this point. They do want to do fat injections into the one that was surgically altered after my partial mastectomy which would require several procedures (lots of travel). First I must lose whatever weight that I chose to lose. This is because any fat they inject can be lost as I lose weight (like any fat on my body). Then, when I am satisfied with my weight loss, I call them and they set up the process of beginning the fat transplanting. Because of the 60 pound loss so far (I speak loosely due to my recent gains during fall & travels), I may need a breast lift on the good side which has some volume loss. This will not increase my breast size, nor reduce it, but get me back to my normal (whatever that is now with the weight I’ve lost) but with symmetry. I am thrilled at the prospect of a normal bra and a normal look again. Yayyyyy. Thanks to all the well wishers and the likes and hugs. I did okay with the diet yesterday, but caved a little during the Pool Hall outing. I weighed myself this morning but forgot to write it down. I know it was in the 180 range but I don’t remember if it was in the 180 range or in the 181 range. I will post tomorrow before I travel for some more Christmas shopping. I am over 2 hours from a mall. But about 1 ½ hours from here is a town that has a few larger stores. It’s not great, but it will help get more done for sure! I am also shopping online like crazy, when able. Lots of sitting! I am going to take a baggie of almonds with me tomorrow so I will stop less and eat less. Please God, help me with those big town temptations!
12/15 - 180.6 Went out of town shopping. Lots of steps in. Mindful of calories but over on carbs & not enough liquids. Shop till I drop mentality.
12/16 - 181.2 There’s that dinner out yesterday during shopping. I did great today at home to offset it. Scale should be better tomorrow.
