🍬12/14⛄142.6 a small fluctuation but only because TOM has made me bloat like crazy, i am actually surprised it isn't more. Drank 2 liters of water, exercised good, ate under Calories and got in over 18000 steps. Over all a very good day yesterday so I was expecting a loss but that is ok, only means a nice whoosh is in store for me.. hopefully🤞
❄12/15🎁 142.4 expected a little more of a loss. Had chocolate 😬 my mom brought tons of goodies from a Christmas party she went too and I couldn't help myself. 18000 steps and great workouts!! Felt like I was walking all day, my legs were so sore.
🍭12/16⛄ no weigh in. I went crazy yesterday. We had two birthday parties and although I started out doing really good, somewhere along the line my will power dropped and then I couldn't stop eating, not to mention I didn't exercise either because the house was packed of people and that would have felt awkward. Only 5000 steps and although I know I didn't walk too much yesterday it still was a surprise to see such a low number because I did some Christmas shopping yesterday. This fit bit has really been opening my eyes to what my day to day looks like for sure. I noticed that i was being accurate when it comes to my workouts but I also didn't realize that depending on what you eat, it lessens the burn calories, for example on Friday I had an 800 calorie burn but after eating the goodies my daily calorie burn dipped to 600...I'm still figure everything out. If anyone knows more about this, please feed me information lol. I was too intimidated to weigh today because of yesterday's craze day, which I know I shouldn't be and I should have weighed to keep myself accountable but I was too intimidated. I have to be good today though and for the rest of the week if I want to meet my goal by next Saturday. It's not impossible to loose 2-3 more pounds but I am really going to have to work for it since I noticed my losses have slowed down, considerably.
🕯12/17💈144.6 crazy weekend. I usually don't go off the rails two days in a row but I just couldn't keep it together. Bahhhh! It's ok though, i know this month is about doing what you can and letting go of the rest. I still have five days to attempt my goal, i will just have to be diligent. Got in over 10,000 steps yesterday and 1.2 liters Of water, exercise still wasn't great but I did manage a 45 min strength exercise late last night and a 30 min speed walk. This week will be full of holiday baking, i am planning to have pre cut fruits and veggies around so I don't overkill the "taste testing" lol Here we go guys, the harder days are upon us... get to your battle stations!!! 🤺🤼♂️🤼♂️🤺
🤶12/18🎅 142.6 so happy to see this number, although slightly confused. LNS got to me. I need to get rid of these baked goods that seem to make their way into my house, i have enough worry about the baked goods I will be preparing, i don't need others to also effect me..on the bright side though, they were delicious. Nothing is worse then eating something you shouldn't and not enjoying it. I got in my exercise yesterday, drank 1 liter of water, 10 933 steps but my eating was terrible. Right now, because of all the upcoming dinners, i don't have a good amount of fruits or vegetables, my fridge is currently packed with meat and ingredients for sides 😥😥😥 I don't think I have ever seen my fridge look so unhealthy.

12/14 - Traveling no scale. I drove the 4 hours to St. Louis with the boyfriend. Went out for a nice dinner; I think I did well calorie wise. A half salad and half a flat bread - no dessert but 1 vodka cranberry spritzer thingy. First alcohol I have had in over a year (nothing to do with weight I just don't enjoy it that much anymore) got back to the hotel room and crashed. It's amazing to me 30 years ago I could go thru a fifth of whisky in a night and still be partying, now I have one spritzer and I'm knocked out.
12/15 - 186.5 Drove home yesterday. Weighed high due to TOM. It will be gone in the next few days.
12/16 - 184.3 Goodbye extra weight. Walked four miles in the cold sunshine yesterday and will probably do the same thing today though it's slightly colder. Went out with girlfriends last night and was bad. Yep I had a DELICIOUS sandwich but stopped at half. I had set this rounds goal low because I'll be baking later in the week and I'm on vacation. We'll see what I can stick to this round. It's challenging.
12/17 - 184.9 Up a little, it will go back down. I had a wonderful 4.75 mile walk yesterday. I wanted to get 5 in but I was with a partner and she wasn't feeling that last quarter mile. It's all good because I had only expected 4 but it was just so nice that we kept going. Today is the first day of my vacation. I need to finish decorating the house and get in a walk. I sound obsessive about getting in the walks but these outside walks help my mental health more than you can imagine. I was worried I would slow down with the cold and dark but I'm doing ok so far in December. We'll see what January brings. It will start getting lighter earlier but it will be colder.
12/18 - 185 Up again. I'm on stay-cation this week. Yesterday I went to a Vietnamese place for lunch and brought leftovers home for dinner. Stayed under calories but I'm going to assume that weight is a reflection of the sodium. I walked 3 miles yesterday and plan on doing another 3 today. If it's in the 50's in December you HAVE to go outside it's an unwritten law. Tuesday is usually gym day but since it's so nice I think I'll do both I'm excited because I also have a doctors appointment this afternoon and there is a cool trail near his office. There may be pictures. Stay-cation woo!!!!!!!!!!

am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

@Birder165, My exact thought this morning! I think I could definitely be out of the 170's by the end of the year...but there are a couple of things ahead that involve carb foods. A charcuterie board that I will assemble that's partly keto friendly and partly NOT. Of course I'm looking forward to the partly NOT lol. A family game night that my grand nephew has been asking for. His mother is talking a full blown eating party instead of maybe just a casserole and a few snacks and drinks. When she said, Aunt Tish I'm not sure I have enough serving dishes 😦 Maybe I'll make the meat/cheese platter for their game night. She wants my help anyway.6

Started Keto WOE on September 24th (2018). Still experiencing decreased arthritis hip and shoulder pain since the second week of Keto. Staying within calorie limits is easy enough, but not exceeding my carb limit is difficult. Per my KetoMojo meter, I’m in ketosis most of the time. Some of my NSVs: my wedding band fits, I wear smaller clothing, and my progress has encouraged my husband to try harder to end his cigarette habit.
Rounds 54 – 61 resulted in a cumulative loss of 24 lb.!

12/14 151.6 Starting with a loss—I like that. Until now, I haven’t established a round goal, but, this time, my goal is to get below 150 and never exceed that number again. I changed my final goal weight to a range. In that range, I'll be able to wear my size 6 slacks/jeans again, without looking too skinny. In my younger days, prior to the early 1990's and rampant vanity sizing, a regular size 10 was equivalent to today's size 6. I read that Marilyn Monroe was a size 14, which would probably make her about a size 10 in today's sizing. Of course, I've noticed, in general, that the more expensive the clothing, the more generous the sizing. (My only expensive clothing is used.) Whatever, my goal is getting closer, and I'm excited!
12/15 151.6 I was a little over on calories yesterday, so I’m happy not to see a gain. Today, I’ll try to get in a short walk. The knee is only a little sore now. I’ll find my knee sleeve before I go and keep the walk short. I must be patient and let it heal. Confession: I use my own success post from 2012, linked above, to encourage myself.
12/16 151.6 I think this number will go down tomorrow; we’ll see. Thor and I walked 3 miles yesterday, and it was a beautiful day. I wore my knee sleeve and iced my knee afterward. It feels almost normal today. Thor tried to pull me up a hill so he could chase a deer that ran across the road. I suppose I should be grateful for his assistance. I started the walk singing “Thank You, Lord, for saving my soul” and added a lot of made up verses thanking God for food and shelter, sunshine and rain, family and friends, and on and on. When I ran out of verses, I sang Christmas Carols. Having plenty of breath to sing is one upside of walking slow. 😊
12/17 151.4 Not much of a drop, but better than a gain. Thor and I walked 4 miles today, and I had very slight knee pain and no toe pain. I ordered custom orthotics from the orthopedist today and got a fresh foot wrap to keep me going until it’s ready for me. Today, three people told me to forget about running again, including my husband. The doctor put in his notes that I’m a trouble-maker. Perhaps I should consider their advice, but it would be a shame not to wear out my new running shoes! 🤔
12/18 150.8 I like this. I expected a lower number, but, before I got on the scale, I tried on my wedding band and my fingers are swollen again. I'm not sure why. Today, I'll spend most of my time in front of the computer completing tests I want to pass before tax season begins. I’d rather be outside enjoying the sunshine, but I’m thankful for my seasonal job. I've learned to think of my job as a ministry. I love my clients, and I like helping them get the best outcome on their tax returns and praying with the ones who have pressing needs (financial/family/loss of loved ones/etc.). Last night, I signed up for a cruise in April to celebrate my husband’s birthday and the end of tax season, so extra income is good, too. I see I have five more days to lose another pound and get below 150. I will press on!

I’m going to apply to go on a short course in April. That is 12-15 weeks away (about 10 rounds). So my more immediate goal is to lose 1 lb/round. The course is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time – I don’t have to lose weight for it but it would be sweet if I did.
Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June.

12/14 – 161.2 – Not sure why I’m up as yesterday was quite good. If I hang in there I think it won’t last. I haven’t gotten to the gym this week though because of this cold, so maybe it’s that and drinking a lot (to keep the coughing under control)
12/15 – 161.2 – Finished supper a little late but resisted the LNS and kept very close to calories.
12/16 – 161.6 – Another good day yesterday, was feeling much better so even did the vacuuming and mopped the floor. Eventually it must go down.
12/17 – 160.2 – Up to maintenance calories yesterday but payoff from the days before. Back to the gym this morning, yay!
12/18 – 160.2 – Decent day yesterday and was great to get back to the gym. A little sore afterwards but so much more energy today.

I feel very disorganized this week and am having trouble getting anything accomplished. Carl and I went to a movie (The Mule) and lunch (Cici’s pizza in a bowl) then we came home and he made cookies for Roy’s memorial later this morning.

I was there 28 minutes before they officially opened and first in line! On one occasion I arrived about 10 minutes before opening and was the 11th in line! 12/14 - Friday - 174.4 - Salty dinner last night. TOM approaching and I'm ravenous. Just went out and got a sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin against my better judgement - I was already planning on eating a frozen pizza for dinner so it puts me at maintenance. Maybe I'll have half the pizza and a salad instead of the whole thing tonight. But again, so starving today so we will see. I dont know if its the undereating catching up to me or TOM but either way - reminding myself that its ok to follow my hunger cues and its not always going to be perfect choices. Remember what over restricting brings? Yeah...binging, well this wasnt a binge just a genuine starving moment and I knew the tiny leftovers lunch I packed was not going to cut it. But I will drink lots of water today so I'm not totally sodium bloated for dress try ons tomorrow. Aiming to maintain last rounds loss since it was a big one and TOM usually spikes the weight.

It'll probably catch up to me tomorrow - and TOM is due to arrive too so that was half the battle with cravings I gave into this weekend, pasta mostly. I did have a wonderful day with my mom Saturday and I found THE DRESS! But we also sampled many cupcakes and ate out afterward...But I was back on plan this morning and I'm moving on from all the crap I ate this weekend. I need to plan the next few days food wise. Lots of food in the house just need to prepare it! Managing stress as best I can this week too but as you all know that is much easier said than done!
12/18 -175.8 - Ate lunch out yesterday, insatiable at lunch today, leftover pasta and chicken. Also craving lots of sweets but managing that one okay. Haven't logged my food for a few days so no more excuses today! Trying to be kind to myself. Making steak burrito bowls for dinner and extra for lunches tomorrow. Need to keep hitting the water hard today as I'm feeling dehydrated too. Just. keep. swimming.

OK. I wasn't expecting this. But this was the first time I drank 2.1 liters of water in a day, maybe it's about that. My dietitian said that I need to drink 3 liters of waters, but it's really hard for me. Whatever, yesterday was the first day of my new diet and it was good. I didn't feel hungry until night. I'm still highly motivated.
I bought two bottles that both hold a liter. If I have it in my hand, it is easy to drink one over the course of an hour. I can drink two liters easily. That third one? I use tricks...my favorite is a half and half combination of lemon flavored vitamin water and Pellegrino.3 -

12/14 - 182.4- As expected, dropped a bunch of the water weight from the high sodium day at the end of Round 61. Had a really good day. Got 2 workouts in yesterday (lifting workout with deadlifts, lat pull downs, overhead press, bicep curls and pec flys, then backed that up with 3 miles on the treadmill), as well as hitting my macros and calories. Drank about 140 oz. of water. Squat day today.
12/15 - 181.2 - Solid deficit with a lift and a good run in for workout.
12/16 - 181.8 - Got a good HIIT workout and abs in yesterday. Ate at a solid deficit and felt good throughout the day.
12/17 - 182.2 - Ate out all day and had a Italian family dinner that could have derailed me, but had a solid day food wise still. Rest day as far as workouts. Weight is starting to settle in and now will work from here to continue to cut body fat.
12/18 - 181.6 - Good solid day yesterday. Made really good food choices, hit my macros and had a nice deficit. Crushed my workout (Deadlifts, etc.). Finished off the workout with a little mile run for some calorie burn. The creatine really seems to be helping my workouts.

12/15: 171.2 I let myself eat too many chips yesterday Best believe I ran my butt off today though.
12/16: 170.2 SO CLOSE TO THE 160s! Normal weight for my height starts at 168, so I'm pumped. Hopefully this means I'll hit that NY goal Can't lie, considered going to the gym BEFORE the weigh in, but I never do that so it feels like cheating.
12/17: 170.2 I've got some sorta bug that just won't go away. Happy no-gym Monday

@aFit50 not this time. This time I was much stricter about logging and I stayed under my sodium and drink all my water. I have not been doing all of those things consistently so I’m sure that’s why it dropped. But I have definitely changed at my exercise in the past and saw a change. My body just gets used to doing the same thing all the time and changing it up works for me.6

12/15: 172.6. Win! Went out to eat last night. I chose the southwest salad. Even though I ordered half size, the salad was HUGE (at least a half head of lettuce). Soooo delicious. Lots of add ons but not a lot of anything. Dressing on the side. I've got a plan for today so I'm feeling good about the weekend and not having a "weekend gain" that I have to work on losing next week.
12/16: 172.0 Halfway through the weekend. It's looking good. Finish Christmas shopping today and do some gift wrapping. I have a good lunch planned and will get in some time on the treadmill. I'm hoping to keep up the downward trend so that next weekend when the family is here for lots of food and fun, I will be motivated to eat sensibly and not undo all my hard work.
12/17: 173.0 Typical weekend but not as bad. I should have a good day today and be back on track tomorrow.

I want to get back into the 170’s and maintain (at the very minimum). I want to increase my exercising now that my livingroom renovation is complete. 12/17 - 261.4 (+1.0) Today was my no sleep Monday. Off work at 6AM from a 12 hour shift, 4 hour nap and back until 11PM. Tomorrow will be the day I bust into the 250's!
12/18 - 259.4 (-2.0) BOOM! Made it to the 250's and it feels so good! Super excited to spend the next few weeks trying to destroy these next 10 lbs! Motivated and Proud!

I understand about "no time to eat," and, sometimes, I just get busy and forget. If I don't reach my calorie goal every day, I tell myself it's IF (intermittent fasting), a popular term I see a lot lately. If it happened every day, that might be a problem, but two or three times a week seems to be okay and may even be helpful.1 -

12/17 - 75.8kg, under cals, super bloated though, and probably too much sodium
12/18 - 74.8kg, finally not so bloated!!!! I feel really good and I’m sticking to my cals again
12/19 - 74.7kg, can’t complain but I wish it was more! I’ve been sticking to under 1200 calories, but definitely still not enough water
