Hi everybody. I wasn't here for many challenges, I'm trying to come back. I gained so much weight, I afraid to weigh myself. But I'll start to see a dietitian on Monday (12/17), so I'll add my weight on 12/17. Until Monday, I'll add my comments for each day.

I overate today, I took so much sugar and carb. Every day I feel like I have to eat sugar/junk food, I really addicted. Not a good day, but at least I walked 8200 steps with my heavy backpack.

12/17 87.5 kg (192.9 lbs)
This is the first time I weighed myself after many weeks. I wished that I would be less than 88 kg, so I didn't feel so bad, I was ready for that. I went dietitian this morning and we talked a lot and made a diet plan. I feel motivated, we made a goal which is I'll be 79.9 kg (176.1 lbs) after 2 months. In this challenge, I want to end up with 86.5 kg (190.6 lbs). According to my body analysis (with Tanita) I already have water retention, so I think I can lose 1 kg.

OK. I wasn't expecting this. But this was the first time I drank 2.1 liters of water in a day, maybe it's about that. My dietitian said that I need to drink 3 liters of waters, but it's really hard for me. Whatever, yesterday was the first day of my new diet and it was good. I didn't feel hungry until night. I'm still highly motivated.

I'm still optimistic, this is before bathroom weight. I believe I'll see a better number tomorrow. Yesterday was good, I didn't eat exactly according to diet, I did little changes. However, I took enough calories.

Yes! Yesterday breakfast wasn't good actually, I couldn't find proper thing to eat and took extra calories, however I tried to balance it through the day and finished the day under my calorie limit. When I'm home it's easy to diet but I need to learn to find solutions when I'm out. This is my 4th day of the new diet, cannot wait to weigh with Tanita at dietitian. I feel like I'm losing fat (I know too soon to say, I'm over-optimistic) (smiling poop emoji is here)

I realized that I'm not motivated that I thought. Yesterday I ate cookies, I ate FOUR cookies. I want to blame my PMS but that's not just true. Whatever I ate them in the afternoon so I didn't have dinner. I was below my calorie limit however did not get enough nutrients. And also I couldn't drink enough water. Maybe I could blame going out? I think social eating is a thing. When I'm out with people it's really harder for me to stop myself eating junk food (I mean delicious food). Through this 3 days, I will go out for some conference and socializing, I don't know how to deal but I'll try to find a solution. I hope.

This is my third round. Lost 5 lbs in round 1, but wobbled up and down in round 2, because of an error with a soda (thought it was diet and wasn't) on keto. Obviously lead to food cravings, several days of higher calorie intakes, and water retention. I should just be getting out of the woods now. Another week before I'm surely out of the woods again.

12/17 - Still between 240 and 245, but can see in feet/ feel in hands, still retaining water. Little frustrated with that. I'm going to hit the cardio hard this week. Was TOM from Thursday to today and I was just too "ugh" to do any exercise. Sore, tired, annoyed. Also felt a twinge of tendinitis in my left leg and didn't wanna screw it up in a real way. Even though not counting calories before I eat anymore (logging it after I've eaten what I want/ need to prevent eating disorder neurosis from sabotaging me), actually doing better than last round on the calorie counts. 12/19 - I have not done the best with updating this round, but that's okay. My weight is still a bit higher. I don't know if I really care, though. I have lost FAT, without question. I'm sitting in a pair of size 20's, and I can stick both hands into them, and they're a lower cut pair of jeans, which I have been having to pull up... this isn't a thing that's happened, ever. I've never been smaller than a 20, and I'm not long before I know I'll be in 18's. I'll have to buy MORE new clothes. Thank goodness for big, expansive Goodwills and thrift stores lol. And with the exception of a couple of days where I probably ate my maintenance calories again, I've had a substantial calorie deficit. So I might be averaging a low calorie deficit, but my body is changing A LOT. It's just the ever-infuriating scale that is bouncing around. I did MURDEROUSLY hard core workouts today and yesterday, and will do another one tomorrow. My midsection is more sore than it has ever been, and I have to admit, I kinda love it. I feel great about myself, and about my choices food wise. I might be eating a ton of salt, though. Could be why weight is up. Been getting more water, though, so hopefully that'll flush it out.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

This is going to be a difficult week
12/14 - 11st 12lb - no loss, but no gain - so I'm ok. Had a choice of a lot of food yesterday evening but just had
one small cake and biscuit, instead of several sweet offerings, including mince pies. Kept within calories.
12/15 - 11st 12.2lb - disappointed because, as always, I weighed everything yesterday and I kept within my calorie allowance and due to walking I also had a good calorie deficit so could easily have had more.
12/16 - 11st 12.8lb - another increase. I weighed and measured everything yesterday and my calorie intake was 1161 calories. I've not yet got to the party days!!!!
12/17 - 11st 12lb Phew - back to starting weight of this round. I had to guess the calories of my intake yesterday. Looks like I didn't do too bad a job, although my macros were not the best
12/18 - 11st 12.2lb - should not have had that biscuit! Had 1253 calories, only ate some of my exercise calories.
Woke up last night with toothache and a bad cold, and I've been sneezing all day.
I made an appointment with the dentist for tomorrow, but I think I will have to cancel meeting my friend due to my cold. I cannot believe that this has happened when I have 4 events in a row from tomorrow - the way I feel I won't be able to go to any of them. I don't want to spoil anyone's Christmas. I haven't been able to eat all my calories today - I had one good meal and one snack, but cannot face anything else.
12/19 - 11st11.6lb Meeting friend at cafe as a pre birthday meet up. Cancelled meeting with friend as I am still sneezing. Also cancelled visit to dentist which I've temporarily rebooked for Friday, but able to cancel if still not well.
12/20 - 11st10.4 My birthday and a Christmas party? with my book group. Weight loss likely to be due to night sweats. However I woke up feeling much better and my temperature has gone from 100.2 to 97.4. (I'm always lower than the average 98.4 when I'm ok) Not sure if I'll go to the party tonight - it depends how I feel nearer the time.
12/21 - 11st 10lb - Went out last night as I was feeling much better. Even managed to lose weight by being careful with the buffet despite having banoffee cheesecake with cream! Just a few presents to wrap for tonight's family get together for Christmas and my birthday/meal out.

12/14 -147.5; I shouldn't be surprised by this because yesterday was full of salt and carbs. There's a part of me that keeps hoping that those delicious things won't have an impact, but they do. Today will be better.
12/15 -Traveling and no scale...I tried to be a little bit good, but had a too much fun at a holiday party.
12/16 -Traveling and no scale...I also had Taco Bell so I'm sure that wasn't the best idea.
12/17 -147.4; Down .1 pounds from my starting weight. Given that I didn't put as much effort as I should have, I'll take that as a positive. I'm back on my normal daily schedule now and back to intermittent fasting. I'm looking forward to some time off from work in the next few days so I can start easing myself back into a routine for working out and meal prep.
12/18 -147.7; I'm disappointed. I know it's a small gain, but I did really well yesterday. I was very deliberate about what I ate, had plenty of water, lots of veggies, etc. It's probably catch-up from a couple of days ago, but I really hate how it seems to take so much effort to see progress and so little to undo everything :-\ Today is a new day, though, and I'll try again.
12/19 -147.2; Feeling a little better today. It seems like I have a 2 day lag when it comes to weight, whether I've eaten well or poorly. I'm making an effort to be mindful again today and doing some meal prep because I'm off thru the new year. I'll start going to the gym as well...perhaps tonight, but definitely tomorrow morning.
12/20 -145.9; One of the best things about this exercise is that I'm learning more about how my body works. Gains seem to be pretty instantaneous (carbs, binging, sodium, etc) but losses seem to have a 2-3 day delay. It really reinforces the need for consistency, otherwise I'm going to keep seeing these swings. Today is a new day so I'm ready to try and make it a good one!

These next 10 days will include some Holiday parties and my birthday, so I’m just going to continue to track my food and be mindful of my eating, but I’m going to enjoy this time of year with all the celebrations.

12/14 - 144.5 - I'm down just in time for a tax planning lunch with a client. I checked the menu and there's no real low calorie options. I'm just planning to bring half of the lunch back and I'll give it to my husband to eat over the weekend.
12/15 - 144.5 - We're going out to eat tonight with some friends. I will probably be fine on the food calories, it's the adult beverage calories that will get me tomorrow. Oh well, it's time for celebrations. In a month, I won't be able to go out much at all.

12/17 - 145.5 - Glad it's not higher. I did some mindless snacking yesterday which I have not done in over 9 months. Back on track today in preparation for all the parties this weekend and next week.

12/19 - 143 - So I have somehow made it back down to my pre-Holiday parties weight. I've got plenty of parties left to go and this makes it easier for me to enjoy all the food.
12/20 - 143 - That stung a little to change my age on my heading. I don't know why 55 seems worse than 50 was, but I really need to be happy that I'm the healthiest I've been since I've been 40. Ironically, my Aunt called me last night to let me know that my 101 year old Grandma is now in hospice care. She never had a problem with her weight. She kept a very active lifestyle and although she was a baker, she never binged on her cakes, cookies, or her incredible brownies. She loved to golf with her buddies and walked the 9 holes until she was well into her 80's. She also loved a cold beer after the round. She had to give up golfing at 90 because she complained she was shooting in the low 50's due to her arthritis and she didn't want to go out playing like that. I didn't tell her that if I shot in the low 50's it was a pretty good game for me. My birthday wish tonight will be to try to stay as healthy as my Grandma and really enjoy the next years of my life.

14/12 Yesterday was about maintenance intake wise, ate out for dinner unexpectedly. Not a big deal, been under my calories a fair bit during the week. It's out Christmas Jumper day for charity at work with a buffet, tonight is our Christmas lights row and party with my rowing club so it's pretty much a write off in term of calories today, I'll be mindful but not going to worry as I am going sober for charity from Monday so this is my last hurrah!
17/12 Been relatively good over the weekend, a lot of alcohol but calories around my deficit. Weight continues to come off. Goals for today are to do some yoga.
18/12 Not much to say about yesterday had a bit of a bingey evening, probs a tiny tad over maintenance so nothing devestating and expect to see the post-drink water weight hang on a day or two longer.[/b]
19/12 Plodding along, this week will be challenging, Christmas Party tonight
20/12 I have the pre-shark week carb cravings going on so the box of Celebrations at work will probably get me today. Other than that had a reasonable calorie intake yesterday considering I had a 3 course meal for Christmas Party.

12/14 - 253.4 - Nothing to worry about. 3168 cals yesterday. I was super hungry all day and gave in to it. For the 3 days before yesterday, my calories averaged 1506/day and that seems to be my "1200". I can't do too many days in a row at that level. I can lose a lot of weight quickly but I get too hungry & tired. That's without even exercising. Hopefully that'll help me find a balance.

OK, the self-delusion is over and I'm not going to kid myself into eating more cookies & candies. I've had more the past week than I've had in the past 4 years! OTOH, I am back to regular walking (though not up to my goal time yet - amazing how quickly we get out of shape) and I started walk/run intervals yesterday. So I'm adding exercise minutes to my accountability for this session. I do think some of this extra weight is water, but I don't like the trend, so I've had a stern talk with myself! I'm off to get blood drawn to recheck inflammation levels - I hope they're down more, but in any case I feel quite a bit better other than pain in my shoulders, esp. in the morning.

Time lag from Wed & Thurs excesses, but I ate better yesterday and walked an hour. I also am thrilled that my lab tests show my inflammation is way down from what it was, though still slightly elevated, and I am more determined than ever not to take prednisone long term. So while I will continue to enjoy the season for the next 10 or so days, I'm veering back toward the anti-inflammation/elimination approach to eating that I was on for much of the summer and fall to try to get back in the normal zone. I'm also going to start running intervals again 3 days a week (I haven't for almost a year so I'm really out of shape!) and, if I can haul myself out of bed at 5 am, to swim laps several days a week. Still within my holiday boundaries, but I don't like the trend. This week I'm baking for a gathering on Thursday and my BD is on Sat, so I'm planning to eat clean and low today through Wed. I've also noticed an uptick in my pain level, and suspect it's related to my much higher-than-normal added sugar intake. I've been on a baking kick - weird for me! - and have started collecting healthier recipes to try. The urge will probably subside after the holidays!

I ate better yesterday - no sweets at all - and I got to the Y for walk/run intervals, although the track was so crowded with slow walkers and little kids that I finally gave up. Don't get me wrong - more power to everyone who gets out there to walk! But walking together and taking up both lanes is a bit much. Anyway, I'll go earlier today! Haven't been able to get myself up to swim at 5:30 when it's 19 degrees out, though - working on it.
I hope everyone who celebrates a holiday this time of year is handling the stresses and the joys of the season well.

Sodium...we went to Fazoli's yesterday for lunch. I also baked an orange-glazed cranberry-pecan loaf, and ate a piece (but no dinner). More baking today for an event tomorrow, and I'm going to a Contemplative Vespers this evening. I'm not particularly stressed by the holidays as it's just me, DH, and friends, but the service sounds lovely. I hope those of you who are swamped by the season also take time to find quiet times and peace.

Since my goal for "the season" has been not to exceed 135, I'm not unhappy with where I am. I'm also very impressed by everyone here who's losing or holding steady! Yay!

I'm still on a bit of a baking spree - unusual for me - and last night I made buttermilk cornbread from scratch. It was yummy (& high-cal) with veggie chili (low cal). I'm thinking of baking myself a cake tomorrow for my birthday - and by "for myself" does not mean I plan to eat the whole thing!
I've given myself until Dec 26 to get this baking frenzy out of my system, and I plan to be back on a normal healthy track before New Year, and probably try the auto-immune paleo protocol soon after to see if I can kill the rest of this inflammation. I also have a new weight goal for 2019 of 125, but I don't mind if it takes all year to get there. I did get to the gym last night and walked the track for an hour. 12/14 - Traveling no scale. I drove the 4 hours to St. Louis with the boyfriend. Went out for a nice dinner; I think I did well calorie wise. A half salad and half a flat bread - no dessert but 1 vodka cranberry spritzer thingy. First alcohol I have had in over a year (nothing to do with weight I just don't enjoy it that much anymore) got back to the hotel room and crashed. It's amazing to me 30 years ago I could go thru a fifth of whisky in a night and still be partying, now I have one spritzer and I'm knocked out.
12/15 - 186.5 Drove home yesterday. Weighed high due to TOM. It will be gone in the next few days.
12/16 - 184.3 Goodbye extra weight. Walked four miles in the cold sunshine yesterday and will probably do the same thing today though it's slightly colder. Went out with girlfriends last night and was bad. Yep I had a DELICIOUS sandwich but stopped at half. I had set this rounds goal low because I'll be baking later in the week and I'm on vacation. We'll see what I can stick to this round. It's challenging.
12/17 - 184.9 Up a little, it will go back down. I had a wonderful 4.75 mile walk yesterday. I wanted to get 5 in but I was with a partner and she wasn't feeling that last quarter mile. It's all good because I had only expected 4 but it was just so nice that we kept going. Today is the first day of my vacation. I need to finish decorating the house and get in a walk. I sound obsessive about getting in the walks but these outside walks help my mental health more than you can imagine. I was worried I would slow down with the cold and dark but I'm doing ok so far in December. We'll see what January brings. It will start getting lighter earlier but it will be colder.
12/18 - 185 Up again. I'm on stay-cation this week. Yesterday I went to a Vietnamese place for lunch and brought leftovers home for dinner. Stayed under calories but I'm going to assume that weight is a reflection of the sodium. I walked 3 miles yesterday and plan on doing another 3 today. If it's in the 50's in December you HAVE to go outside it's an unwritten law. Tuesday is usually gym day but since it's so nice I think I'll do both

12/19 - 184.2 This feels better. All the excess weight from my Vietnamese sodium fest and TOM are gone. I got in a beautiful 2 mile walk yesterday before my doctors appointment. Finding new fun trails is my new favorite thing. I would almost go back to explore more of that today but I really don't have time for the drive and the walk. I did weights after the doctors appointment. I was pretty worn after both of that and did not get as much done around the house as I had planned.
12/20 - 182.2 I have no idea where this came from but I'm not going to complain. I got on the scales a couple of times, moved it thinking somehow it's not level but it still came up with the magical number that puts me over 30 pounds lost! Yesterday I walked 3.2 miles then came home to clean and decorate. Having my niece and her baby over today to finish decorating and do some Christmas baking. Send me "stay out of the dough" vibes please.
12/21 - 183.2 Down two pounds yesterday, up a pound today. I felt yesterday was an anomaly and today seems a bit more reasonable. I did ok with cooking yesterday. One haystack, one chocolate marshmallow candy, and 2 choc chip cookies. Not exactly "clean" but I didn't eat one cookie from every batch which I have done in the past . I still need to make 2 sugar cookies and gumdrop cookies.

12/14: 172.4 Eating out tonight and heading into the weekend. I want to make good choices. I have got to make good choices. I WILL make good choices.
12/15: 172.6. Win! Went out to eat last night. I chose the southwest salad. Even though I ordered half size, the salad was HUGE (at least a half head of lettuce). Soooo delicious. Lots of add ons but not a lot of anything. Dressing on the side. I've got a plan for today so I'm feeling good about the weekend and not having a "weekend gain" that I have to work on losing next week.
12/16: 172.0 Halfway through the weekend. It's looking good. Finish Christmas shopping today and do some gift wrapping. I have a good lunch planned and will get in some time on the treadmill. I'm hoping to keep up the downward trend so that next weekend when the family is here for lots of food and fun, I will be motivated to eat sensibly and not undo all my hard work.

12/18: 171.0 I had such a good time last evening. I got to spend some time with a 2 yr old little boy who played and laughed and just totally enchanted me. 12/14 - Friday - 174.4 - Salty dinner last night. TOM approaching and I'm ravenous. Just went out and got a sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin against my better judgement - I was already planning on eating a frozen pizza for dinner so it puts me at maintenance. Maybe I'll have half the pizza and a salad instead of the whole thing tonight. But again, so starving today so we will see. I dont know if its the undereating catching up to me or TOM but either way - reminding myself that its ok to follow my hunger cues and its not always going to be perfect choices. Remember what over restricting brings? Yeah...binging, well this wasnt a binge just a genuine starving moment and I knew the tiny leftovers lunch I packed was not going to cut it. But I will drink lots of water today so I'm not totally sodium bloated for dress try ons tomorrow. Aiming to maintain last rounds loss since it was a big one and TOM usually spikes the weight.

12/17 - Monday - 175.0 - Hah, I make a commitment to kiss the 170's goodbye and then I have an off the rails weekend, womp womp. It'll probably catch up to me tomorrow - and TOM is due to arrive too so that was half the battle with cravings I gave into this weekend, pasta mostly. I did have a wonderful day with my mom Saturday and I found THE DRESS! But we also sampled many cupcakes and ate out afterward...But I was back on plan this morning and I'm moving on from all the crap I ate this weekend. I need to plan the next few days food wise. Lots of food in the house just need to prepare it! Managing stress as best I can this week too but as you all know that is much easier said than done!
12/18 - Tuesday - 175.8 - Ate lunch out yesterday, insatiable at lunch today, leftover pasta and chicken. Also craving lots of sweets but managing that one okay. Haven't logged my food for a few days so no more excuses today! Trying to be kind to myself. Making steak burrito bowls for dinner and extra for lunches tomorrow. Need to keep hitting the water hard today as I'm feeling dehydrated too. Just. keep. swimming.
12/19 - Wednesday - 175.2 - Tried to stop at the lab today to have some blood drawn but it was too busy so I just headed to work. But it was a fasting test so I'm just getting around to eating now. Got some sad news and I'm frustrated about some other work related things so just trying to keep my head up. I did make extra dinner for lunches today, and there was no chocolate left in the house for me to binge on, so it was a good evening eating wise. Dinner for tonight will either be shepherds pie or chicken teriyaki with asian salad. I want the salad - but I wont have lunches for Thursday. Actually, I could split up the last burrito bowl into two smaller servings and add a frozen burrito to both. Okay so salad it is!
12/20 - Thursday - 174.4 - Stuck to the plan and had salad last night. Lunch is pretty salty today since it includes canned chili but its what I got and I'm considering it to be better than the fast food I instinctively want because I'm solo at work today and when no one is there to "watch me" I'm totally guilty of wanting to slip back into old habits. I grabbed a wake up wrap for breakfast to satisfy the fast food craving for only 150 calories instead of something at lunch that would be closer to 1500! Shepherds pie is on the menu for dinner, but I'm going to make it as a half batch because I don't need leftovers for lunch tomorrow (company christmas party) and its a dish I tend to over eat given the chance.
12/21 - 173.6 - Yes to this number! TOM arrived today and I'm in a lot of pain. Today is company christmas party with Italian food - didnt make alternate plans for lunch so it is what it is. I'm going over my moms to avoid a party at my house tonight (its DH's brothers birthday party) and we already planned to indulge. So I really have no idea if I'll finish this round in maintenance, but some relaxing is taking precedent tonight, but I WILL log all my food instead of going completely blind like last week.

12/15 174 One thing I love about my job is that we close for an extended Christmas break - I am off now until Jan 2. We are heading to New York for a couple of days. Exercise will be good - lots of walking, but food maybe tricky. DS2 is travelling with us and we need to choose restaurants that work with his sensory issues. Have a great weekend everyone.

During December I just want to make it out of the month alive and without too much damage. I have slowly inched myself into the 180’s. I want to get back into the 170’s and maintain (at the very minimum). I want to increase my exercising now that my livingroom renovation is complete. I want to get all my steps in and incorporate more & more of the great ideas you all have shared. My personal goals are the greatest presents that I can give to myself during this most Holy month of celebrations. This is my way of saying Merry Christmas to me. 12/20 - 181.6 More travel today for Dr. appointment for head injections (hair loss). More shopping, more restaurants. I hope to turn the word “more” into the word “less” soon. However, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”.
12/21 - 182.2 Thankfully I will be home today doing the wrap-a-thon again. Back at home in my “safe place” I will be staying on point with my food choices and drinking lots of water and parsley tea to counteract the bloat. Tomorrow will be a better weight. am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

UGW: updated 67-63kg (148-139lbs) end of spring 2019I just realised that R61 was my last full round for the year as I'll be travelling for most of the rest of it. I am considering taking my body scales and/or my yoga mat, depends on my packing skills. The first trip next week is with work here, 3 meals catered for in a lodge, so i'll have to make the best choices available to me, but won't be logging as there is no point with it being all estimates. And then after only one night back, the second trip is for another job in Jordan over xmas followed by a few days on a tourist tour with my mom who will come and join me. I'll be staying in a hotel (and a tent one night), so again no way of logging accurately. I think i might just keep a list of what i've put in my mouth to keep some sort of overview.

Yesterday went ok during the day, but work stress and feeling a little home sick drove me to wine in the evening, after I've done a bit of body weights. And wine lead to crisps, which were incredibly salty, and also chocolate and cookies. Not surprisingly, I skipped Yoga this morning - I should just admit that I only do every other day. Then, as if to confirm that I won't be logging properly for the weekend, the batteries on my food scale seem to be dead. If I had my standard breakfast, I could have estimated, but in anticipation of going away, i'm using up what's left in the fridge/cupboard. Anyway, I know i'll come back to the routine in January, for now i'll focus on not giving up completely.
Sat 12/15 - 70.4kg this is surprising given yesterday, but I have been on the treadmill.
Had a night out after dinner at home. But obviously had snacks when I got home.
I'm really missing my actual home (London) this week, my husband, my cats. There are lots of lovely people here to hang out and have fun with. But I feel quite lonely and also guilty that I'm not with my husband while he's not feeling great. I know food isn' t going to resolve any of these feelings, but it's sure easier to be sad and full than sad and hungry...

Mon 12/17 - 71.3kg - I was shocked, but then TOM arrived in the eve almost a week earlier than I thought, which probably explains half of this gain and my snack attacks. The other half is my week's food choices showing.

Tue 12/18 - Out of town
Food prob slightly above maintenance - passport issues are causing me to stress eat at the buffets. Ran 5km in the morning with some of my colleagues which was nice.
Wed 12/19 - Out of town
Weighed during a brief stop over at home, 71.4kg, i'll put down to TOM and travel belly.
Good nes is that I got the right stamp in my passport this morning, so relieved.
I'm slowly catching up on posts, the agenda during the work trip is packed 6am-8pm and internet is weak...

Fri 12/21 - 71.3kg when I got home, after breakfast.
Food-wise, the week of not being able to control any ingredients was interesting. I realise I could have eaten a lot less, but buffetts are tricky. I ate fruit and salad with each meal, but also cake for desserts. I definitely should have eaten less overall. I did keep track to some extent. The place we stayed at had very tasty scones at tea time each day, which I couldn't resist.
Now i'm home for 36 hours and I am not even going to try stop the comfort eating, i'm exhausted, need to do some work, pack, catch up with my husband and chill.
Back to normal in the new year! Have a happy xmas/holiday to those who celebrate and happy new year. I'll be back in R64.

12/14 - 240.0...went out to a movie for the first time in a while last night, had lots of popcorn and chocolate.
12/15 - No weigh in...been up since 2:30 with my son (he just didn't feel like sleeping). Had a bad eating day yesterday, a lot of LNS and a couple of adult beverages. My son has breakfast with Santa and 2 birthday parties this weekend so probably not going to be eating the best. I WILL get myself back on track by Monday, still want to be in the 230's by the end of the year.
12/16 - didn't weigh
12/17 - no weigh in...another morning of son waking super early. The past week has been bad for food, definitely have gained a few more pounds since last weighing. Back on track today..have the gym planned for tonight..haven't been in months.
12/18 - 243.4...not happy with myself for all this crappy eating. Did not get back on track yesterday at all and still didn't get to the gym 🙁 son was up most of the night coughing.
12/19 - no weigh in, just completely forgot to do it this morning, my son slept in until 6:30 this morning and I think it threw me off lol. Had another bad day food wise yesterday. Going to water aerobics this morning though and going to try to get back on track.
12/20 - no weigh in. Went to water aerobics yesterday and did a fair amount of walking (shopping) but had Chinese for supper and had potato skins and a very large frozen white Russian at 9:30pm! We went to go bowling but the place was packed, not one parking spot, so we went to the restaurant for a drink instead..and I course we couldn't have it without appetizers. Also very little water yesterday.
12/21 - I weighed this morning but I'm not adding it 🙁 I'm sick of myself at this point, I'm just using Christmas as a excuse to eat everything in sight (some things I don't even enjoy) and I'm undoing all of my hard work. Not anymore though, today is the end of that..back in a good mind set and staying on track. Probably not going to happen, but would still like to be in the 230's by the end of the year.
