Got a snowshoe in last night! 75 minutes of it. It was wonderful!
Then I did a 10 min ab exercise before I went to bed. :)

Water intake was right on and calorie intake was good.

    Have a good day all!

Happy New Year! I would like to join this group. I'm 43 (for a few more days) and have discovered that it has become much more difficult to see results. I'm determined to stick with it. I have about 100 lbs to lose and would benefit from the support and encouragement.

    Being over 40:

    Cons:

    Creakier
Lots of time to develop and maintain bad habits
    Work stress
Stress from child rearing/other family relationships

    Pros:

More control over what food you have available (usually you buy/prepare food)
Wiser (maybe): may be better at problem solving, reflection on life, etc.
Discipline: Mature individuals are more focused than teens

Another snowshoe workout last night. Sadly, temps rose last night and much of the snow has melted. :(

Squats and planks before bed. Water intake was good as were my calories for the day.

I went to drive to the gym today - and my car had a dead battery!

Not to be deterred, I called the AMA and they came and re-charged the battery, but the worker said that I needed a new battery. So, I tried to fit that into my day, but while I went back inside to grab my gym gear - to head to a BELATED gym session, my battery died AGAIN. ha ha ha

Another call to AMA - this time with a truck to REPLACE battery - and I ran out of "free time" by the time that happened.

I DO have a new battery. My car DOES run. But, I won't make it to the gym until Wednesday, now.

    BOOM!

Great snowshoe yesterday! Lots of fresh snow, so we were breaking trail the entire hike! Amazing how much harder one has to work to do that.

One full week of Arnold Smash is done, plus the plank and crunch challenge...today is rest, so only planks and crunches and I'm really looking forward to the day off.

back to classes yesterday. 1 hour of cardio/weights/stretch followed by an hour of glorious chair yoga!
We have a new fitness instructor doing the cardio/weight class. Oh my! Not what we are used to, but I think she is going to push us, which is a good thing. She yells. Loud. A lot. :scream:

Lol, sdereski. It is good to exit "the comfort zone" .

Meanwhile, I finally did my own gym routine, at my own gym, at my usual time. Today. It has been three weeks since THAT happened!

    BOOM!
