JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~ ROUND 65

I’m in! Almost 60 yo active female. Love being outdoors and working out. I’m plant based but don’t like being different, so it’s hard. I’m in this for the long haul so I feel energetic and if I lose weight along the way because I’m sticking to the plan, that would be great! Struggle with sugar when I’m sad, lonely, tired, or when I have a headache. Clean eating makes me feel so mush better, but when I fall, I fall hard.

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

01/13 129.5 Fourth day in the 129.x range. Today DD#2 turns 46. She was 3 weeks early, according to the doctor. At 7# 9 oz, I’m glad she didn’t wait! The doctor thought it was false labor and told Carl to give me 3 aspirins and a cup of strong tea. Before I finished the tea, the cramping was about every 3 minutes. Carl called the doctor and the doctor said the emergency room would be waiting for me! Someone was at the door to whisk me away while Carl took DD#1 to the sitter 2 blocks away. By the time he got back beautiful DD#2 had arrived. 21 minutes from door to done! I always thought it was interesting that DD#1 was born at 5:08 and DD#2 was born 5 hours and 8 minutes later (plus 2 years and 9 days.) I often wondering what time #3 would have been born, had there been a #3. My mind is weird! Happy birthday @a13justmee11 -

Stayed at 150 something for the last 4 days of round 64. Looking forward to breaking into the new decade. My body seems to be having a pretty hard time of letting go of the 150’s. My round 64 end weight was 150.2. My goal for round 65 is going to be 148. Hopefully I see a nice whoosh in this round since last round I didn’t really get anywhere.
1/13 - 151.7 this must be the bounce from Friday nights beers and food. We were just celebrating it being Friday and being done with last week. Did well yesterday and plan on doing the same today. Probably will be back down tomorrow.

I’ve been in maintenance for several months until the holidays, content at around 146. I am now OVER the point at which I didn’t want to be again (150), so I’ll be getting back on track to lose back down to at least around 146 or so. May try to go lower in the new year, but we will see. For the immediate future, I just want to get and stay back under 150.

It's funny because I really don't much like push ups, but I viewed it as something that would be very challenging and help me improve upper body strength. Both things have come true! If anyone is interested, this is the challenge I'm doing: https://hundredpushups.com/test.html

SW 370.8 – Round 65 (1/13/19)
GW 362 – Jan 31st
GW 299 – End of 2019 (6.2)
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 – 370.8 – 2nd day in a row up. Unfortunately this weekend I have had eating out functions everyday. I have another one today and Pizza Tuesday. My plan for Tuesday is one piece of pizza, no appetizers and I will order a big salad if a salad is not ordered. I eat out a lot on weekends, so sodium is high. I will drink plenty of water next two days and I hope to be down again by Wed.

”Consistency over a day - no problem. Consistency over a week - ehh. Consistency over a month is hard. Now think about consistency over six months or a year. That takes grit, accountability and preparation.”— Author UnknownRound 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

01/13143.8 a slight bump up, yesterday was hard. A big family breakfast and dinner and although I started out great, by the end of the day I gave in after dinner to snacks. Sheeeeesh! This is getting more and , more difficult as I go on. Work so hard to loose a little, takes nothing to gain a little. I am going to have to pre-plan for next week. I will schedule Saturdays as my rest day workout wise (there is no way to get around it) but my eating needs to be on point. I'm ok with a cheat meal here and there but it can't be on a day I don't work out

Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

After eating dinner at lunchtime & planning just lean meat & veg for dinner, we got a call at 3:15 for board game party beginning at 5 with a light dinner of salad & salmon or sausages. We decided to go. Met with Chios, guac, cheese, crackers, veggies & heartily enjoyed all & the dinner and visiting with 20 folks I hadn’t seen in awhile!! Then dessert. I’d seen fresh baked brownies & thought ok, one should be ok, and came around the corner to 8 tubs of ice cream & 4 amazing sauces...
Decided to enjoy the night & am now working to get back on track. It was really fun & I actually have no regrets, amazingly. I was shocked to see the largest one day swing in my weight since I began 3+ years ago, however!!! Ever onwards!

About me: 62, 5'7", hit maintenance in March 2018 and, typical yoyo, currently bouncing back up over original goal weight of 130. Want to get back to 127-128.
Crept back to JGM10D quietly and somewhat inconsistently in Round 60 but now I am back (for reals!)
1/13 - 132.6 - last few days no scale access, company and special food and emotional and busy at work. So I feel lucky this is my number... glad to be in a new round!!

It's been quite awhile since I have been on this post. But I am going to try and return and be consistent. My workouts are no problem at all. It's the whole eating and logging. So let's see how I can manage.

It's been snowing here in Maryland since yesterday evening, looks about 6-7 inches so far in my area. I want to go out and shovel it but not supposed to end until midnight. I LOVE shoveling snow. I keep looking out the window like a child waiting for it to stop. I know sounds so silly. Lol.11

My goal for 2019 is to get into ONEderland. Changing my life.
R65 my focus will be to not break my tracking streak since 12/28 and being active every day in some way shape or form! Get up out of the chair from work, reading or tv and MOVE! Goal is to reach 240-241 and make it stick.
SW: 245 (R63 starting 12/30/2018)
End R63: 245 (0 loss; lowest 244.4 & avg 244.7 over the 4 days)
End R64: 243.3 (-1.1 loss; lowest 243.3 & avg 243.3 over 7 WI days; 3 days no scale available)
1/13 - 243.3 @ Camp no scale; using WI from 1/10 for start of this round. 17 day tracking streak! Yesterday walked the nearby county park and gardened. Long drive home today. Need to watch the snacking, fast food, drink plenty of water and walk this evening.

It's funny because I really don't much like push ups, but I viewed it as something that would be very challenging and help me improve upper body strength. Both things have come true! If anyone is interested, this is the challenge I'm doing: https://hundredpushups.com/test.html
@puttyputty Thank you for sharing. I might try this too. I’ve never been able to do “real” pushups for more than a couple. Sounds like an easy plan to follow.2 -

Not silly at all! I know exactly what you mean. When it snows like it is where you are, I like going out every hour or so to clear the driveway. It's not so overwhelming that way and I just love the muffled quietness of the world when it's snowing at night. I don't mind doing it a multiple of times.
No snow here yet - no fun shoveling for me. (Windsor - across the river from Detroit)3
