I'm back! I'll have to post my updates later though. Well. WHY was my internet out? Because my husband cannot stop plugging and unplugging stuff if his TV goes out. SMH. So 3 days without Internet because he unplugged a cord and didn't plug it back in😦11

@abowersgirl - Happy Anniversary! I remember about 6 months ago I was in your exact position. My husband and I had a weekend away for our 17th anniversary. I was 10 pounds from my goal weight and worried about calories before we left. All I remember now is the fun we had, the good food we ate, and the extra wine we drank. It was worth the few days it put me behind on weight loss. Enjoy yourself, I know you'll get back on track!9

01/23 162.6 Hoping to get back on track today with food and eating. Last month I was on a juice fast for three days during my time of the month, so it was hard to see what the weight fluctuations looked like. I started today so will start tracking that going forward since I already can feel myself retaining water more than usual.

“I DON’T STOP WHEN I’M TIRED - I STOP WHEN I’M DONE”
Goals:
Weight:
Short Term Goal: Lose 2 pounds this round.
First Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 175 by Valentine’s Day 💗💗💗 I hope to achieve this by losing about 1.5 pounds per week (or 2 lbs per round).
My Second Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 155 by my Birthday on May 10th by sticking to my plan to lose 1.5 pounds per week (or 2 lbs per round).
My third Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 145 by the 4th of July using the same plan as above.
Exercise:
During each Weight goal I plan on increasing my walking (back to what I did when I was on a downward trend). I also want to increase my cardio and regularly use weights to help firm my flabby arms.

01/23 187.1 This thing we always hear about it being hard to lose weight in the winter…. Well, they ain’t kiddin’ folks! It’s not just the holidays! It’s being stuck in during these snow storms & much much more. I’m eating my stress & emotions for sure as I’m stuck insede during this current 10” of snow. Going out to shovel again in a minute-I do love it like some of the other gal so it will help. The inspector yesterday was very nice. He took a ton of pictures (some I cringe a bit on). The full report will come from the insurance company in the next couple of weeks. It will contain all the pics & what they expect me to take care of. We’re always talking lots of $$$$. And what can I do in this weather? Not paint. Not roofing. Not cement repair. Ugggg. Ridiculous. Why don’t they come in the spring? Anyhoo, no dancing yesterday. LNS last night with emotional & stress eating. I am going to work much harder today on my mindset and plan. Lots of dancing in the works! Best of luck to all on this wonderful new round!

Goal this round: To get out of the 160’s or at least consistently not above 160. Right now even ½ lb. per round would seem great. This is the same goal as last round but I made it down .4 so will keep working from there. My short term goal is to be down at least 6 lb. by the end of March. That is just .8/Round but for me would be great progress.
Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June. (Not sure if this is possible for me but even well down in the 150’s would be better than where I am at now.)

@SheilaBoneham
Appreciate the reminder on watching the bone density.
A couple of people in this group mentioned hyprthyroidism in the last thread, so thought I would mention my experience with that and bone density even though I don't think it was you talking about it.
I became more aware of my bone density when I had a couple breaks a number of years back. I've been hypothyroid for 30+ years. I switched my thyroid medication from synthetic to natural (the natural is complete thyroid hormone and the synthetic is T4 only) This shouldn't make a difference unless your dose was a little on the high side (which mine was). A higher dose of T4 will suppress all thyroid functions - one of which is to regulate calcium. It is not the main regulator and there's some ? as to whether it makes a difference. (Although my Dr. did comment that they are seeing more bone density problems that may be linked to this - I note that the whole thyroid supplement thing became much more common about 30 years ago and now those women, like me, are becoming seniors) Despite a number of potentially bad falls in the years since this switch I have had no breaks I also make sure I get lots of calcium of course.

01/23 181.96 This is getting to be too much. In 20 days I'm down 1 pound. There is a part of me that thought I'd skip this round. It's too depressing for me when I'm eating within calories and staying focused on exercise with no weight loss. I honestly had one bad calorie day on Sunday, every other day I have been within goal. I keep expecting a whoosh that isn't coming. I need to accept I'm here - not at 178 like I was for a few days. Old Kris tells me to give up and eat whatever I want and how much I want. Screw walking, screw the gym, forget the stupid C25K idea you're too old, fat, out of shape etc. I need to slap the crap out of Old Kris (OK), because that's what I've done every time. Keep me accountable people. I need this challenge.

@shunggie Hugs! For what it’s worth, we have similar start and goal weights. It’s been really motivational to see your downward trend over all the rounds you’ve completed. I was so frustrated last round because I worked so hard and only lost .2lbs. I wanted to cry, but kept people like you in mind, your previous rounds sometimes with good loss and sometimes without, and it helped me see the bigger picture. I would be thrilled to be at your current weight, you’ve come a long way so far! Even if you haven’t lost that much in 20 days, can you run farther, do you feel healthier? I hope the answer is yes! Also, you have 7lbs until you are halfway to your goal weight! Halfway is huge!! I hope you have a special reward planned for yourself when you get there!6

”Consistency over a day - no problem. Consistency over a week - ehh. Consistency over a month is hard. Now think about consistency over six months or a year. That takes grit, accountability and preparation.”— Author UnknownRound 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)
Round 65 - SW 370.8 EW 375.4 (+4.6)
Net change 2019 = (+0.2)- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

ok @BethE238 You made me cry. Thank you for reminding me, I need that. I think we all do because it is so dang hard. Friends and family try to be supportive but our fellow MFPers or Grandma's Gang members in particular understand what we're doing and how difficult it can be day in and day out.8 -
Last round I finally reached that elusive 140's decade that had been haunting/teasing me for the last couple of rounds. I hope to see a new low of 147/146 this round and continue to drop my 10 day average. I do have a 3 day family ski trip this weekend, so I am going to try and work around that and focus on my goals. I do not ski (not coordinated enough for that) but everybody else does. So I do a lot of reading, people watching, shopping, and drinking in the lodge. This round ends on a Friday, which is usually one of my lowest days of the week. So I am excited to see how this round goes.

Thanks❤❤ that's what I plan to do, just put everything on hold and enjoy myself. I have been good all day, eating fruits and veggies and got an extra workout this morning. I am going to just let it go.
@deepwoodslady thank you ❤ you are honestly so sweet4 -
Don't worry @shunggie . We all have times the scale isn't kind to us. Just keep putting in the work and try to stay positive. Measure yourself, focus on your NSVs and remember how far you've come!! Do whatever you need to do to shake some of those blues away and then laugh about it! Seriously honey, (and I'm speaking from experience) stress and depression is a cocktail that will absolutely stall your progress. We've all been there and here to remind you're not alone. @deepwoodslady I am so sorry to hear about all the drama latley. It's so unfair that you should have to deal with his, especially when it was completely preventable. *hugs*
@shunggie this is a struggle but remember you are fighting for yourself! I have been at the same weight since Dec 10th and was beginning to feel really discouraged. After all you would think being an active person, who has turned down many outings, treats, sweets etc and decided to eat healthier food would be able to show something for it..but of course no, i had to fight... and actually as of the past couple of days, i have finally pushed past the plateau mark and mini wooshed. Try to remember, today it might suck and yesterday you might try and sabotage you but tomorrow you will love you for sticking through it. This will pass, you will drop..you just need to be patient with the process and with yourself, be persistent and stubborn and stay dedicated. You got this!! You aren't only trying to loose weight, you are trying to build a healthier, stronger you...so stay strong 💪💪💪 and be resilient. You are worth it!7 -

About me: 62, 5'7", hit maintenance in March 2018 and, typical yoyo, currently bouncing back up over original goal weight of 130. Want to get back to 127-128.
Crept back to JGM10D quietly and somewhat inconsistently in Round 60 but now I am back (for reals!)
1/23 - 133.6 - yesterday (again) way over calories due to low-sleep-induced sugar, and way under step goal. Poor sleep leaves me depleted and with very sub-par ability to govern myself.
Today, however, is the start of a new round and time to remind myself that every day, every moment, is a new chance to choose.
