Unless you are extraordinarily short, you should not be eating fewer than 1200 calories/day. Your bodies need a certain amount of fuel for basic organ function.
What are your stats: age, height, current weight, goal weight?
How many calories does MFP tell you eat when you enter your information?6 -
I'm 5ft 5 and weigh 13.12 id love to be 10.5 in May! Not sure I'll look now0

You need at minimum, 1,200 net calories (so that's eating back the calories you've burned through exercise). Even then, 1,200 is at the very bottom end and not appropriate for most people.6 -
MINIMUM 1200 + exercise.
Weight loss doesnt have to be a painful horrible experience that you can only sustain for 2 weeks before you end up eating half your kitchen pantry in one sitting because so starving.
A slow patient loss is easier to sustain and not as painful as a super low calorie diet. Just plug in your stats to the MFP and select the smallest deficit and off you go...5 -
Okay thanks I'll change to 1200 a day and go with it.
Appreciate all the comments thank you4 -
put in your info in my fitness pal and see what it says. then eat back at minimum half your exercise calories on TOP of that.
here are some links that I highly recommend reading. it gives you info on how to get started.

all I'll say is just be careful slashing your caloric intake too much. Under eat and there's a very good chance that you'll wake up a few days a week ravenous and go nuts with the food.
1500 every day (10,500 p/w) is better than making yourself miserable on 1200 per day and bingeing on 2600 twice a week because you're not eating enough (11,200 p/w).
Be sensible.4 -

1200 is still the bare minimum. What does MFP suggest for a 1 lb/week goal when you put your stats in?5 -
You may be able to successfully lose weight fast on 800 calories with no ill effects. Or you may not. Everyone is different.
There are those who will advise against any diet so low in calories still there are others who would advocate it.
See what scientic evidence you can gather to support or refute the claims people make.14 -

A sedentary two-year-old requires 1000 calories. https://health.gov/dietaryguidelines/2015/guidelines/appendix-2/ There is NO WAY that an adult not under direct medical supervision should be on 800.9 -

You should set MFP to lose 1lb per week and eat that number plus exercise cals5 -

Don't think the sedentary two year old is trying to lose weight though 😉

Doesn't matter. 800 calories is not safe or healthy for any adult unless they're under direct medical supervision.7

Others would disagree but it is for individuals to seek out information to make their own informed decisions rather than rely on comments in online forums.

Others disagreeing doesn't make them right. A lot of the comments on these forums is backed up with a lot of history, experience and knowledge.5 -

Very true. All decisions should be evidence based.

And there is no evidence that doing 800cal on purpose for any length of time without the supervision of a doctor is good or healthy. Such things are also not encouraged on this forum and posts about unhealthy diets have been removed before.8 -

Perhaps the OP is hoping to do a very low calorie diet under medical supervision?
There are have been very interesting results, published in The Lancet, on the benefits of such a diet, under supervision, in treating diabetes. Can't see, in this case, how it would be considered an unhealthy diet.
Obviously not suitable for everyone.
