02/02 149.7 yesterday was a good day. I'm nervous about tomorrow. I have two food centered event today, including a chocolate chip cookie bake off and a dumpling party. Lord, give me strength.
02/03 149.6 lesson for the day... When you don't get a lot of calories allotted for each day (1200), eating a cookie eats up like a quarter of your calories. That's insane. And leaves you feeling pretty hungry, since a cookie does not satiate. It was really hard not to over eat yesterday. I made it, and the scale obviously forgave me for the cookie bake off I attended, but really hard. What are people's strategies for making it through today? (those of you watching that sports thing going on).
02/04 150.4 eek. I ate at or pretty close to at my target calories, but salt got me and the two drinks I had when I've been dry for the part month. Super bowl partial sabotage. Actually, not that bad. I still feel good, and I did an hour of yoga this morning.
02/05 149.8 doing all the right things, so I'll have faith that, in the long run, I'll break though this little one pound yo yo thing.
02/06 149.8 sigh. It's not possible that I can be eating a maintenance amount of calories. I hope I break this plateau soon.
02/07 149.0 ¡por fin!

@hammycakes I’m getting the same fluctuations as you & am at the same weight as you too! So frustrating to see +2lbs or +3lbs difference in one day, but it happens. Don’t let it get you down! It’s not permanent.3

@CowgirlConnieMay I love this philosophy, this plan! Especially the part that says "treat with portion control in mind". Sometimes my treats turn into a full-on binge and that is what I've been working so hard on. Like @quiltingjaine tried to tell her friend, there is nothing we cannot have. We only need to choose not to, or to fit in into our plan or our macros as best we can. I know if I try to do that deliberately and with full intent, then even if I fail, it is part of my lifestyle to always be mindful and to make choices. Thanks for sharing these words of wisdom. I have a social even tonight & will "try to eat healthy as much as possible and treat with portion control in mind". It really is that simple, isn't it?
My philosophy is ' You can have anything you want, you just can't have everything you want'

So, here's my info!
5'3", 61 yrs. old, heaviest all time weight 198 (can we just say 200-ish?) 40 years ago! Got to and stayed around 155, and I feel like I've been on a constant weight battle my whole life! Aug. 2016 I decided enough was enough and took MFP seriously -- and got to 122! I felt GREAT! I am determined to get back there. I know how great it feels to just be lighter.
Current goal: To actually complete one of these 10 days challenges!
02/02 133.7
02/03 133.5 -- a small improvement (ha!) but I will take it. Superbowl food coming up... oh no! Does anyone just else eat the top off of pizza? (smile!) I'm taking lots of good veggies, low cal guacamole Trader Joe makes a great one with yogurt), fresh fruit, and yes, brie... I just want to be 133.anything again tomorrow.
02/04 -- did not weigh in
02/05 -- 135.0 After no sugar yesterday, and a 75 minute poweryoga class last night, done in 95 degrees (so hot! Felt great btw) I weighed in this morning at 135. Imagine what yesterday would have been! UGH -- that Superbowl party did damage. I'm going to stay on this no sugar thing....that will be my challenge to myself this week. 133, I miss you (smile!)
02/06 133.7 -- Yay! Great relief!! I woke up feeling lighter, and knowing that it was going to be at least a pound down.... now I hope I'm heading to the 120's. I am on day three of no sugar... not as hard as I thought it would be (yet!) I'm eating eggs for breakfast, raw zucchini and veggies for snacks, and lots of greens with baked chicken or grilled fish for dinner, herbal tea (I'm on a Yogi Green Tea and Blueberry kick lately) and a glass of red wine (always!). Hope to get in a poweryoga hour tonight.
2/7 133.7 -- no change. BUT -- I'm six days in, and I'm still here! Only four more days to go, I'm still sugar free (except for the wine -- is there sugar in cabernet? ) and I'm feeling lighter. Skipped yoga tonight for a long walk with the dog. Had a mix of steamed broccoli and cauliflower tonight for dinner and it was delicious! Looking forward to weigh in tomorrow.10 -

02/02 184. 8 This is exciting! starting off strong! finally a whoosh!
02/03 183.8 The whoosh continues! I stayed on point this weekend. did have drinks friday and saturday, but my goal is to have 5 AF days so I'm on track with that as well.
02/04 185.6 bouncy scale. Not sure why! but the trend line is still going down so hopefully I can get rid of it soon.
02/05 183.6 bounce back, I guess! I like this better. Maybe it can stick this time.!
I worked out for the first time with my PT yesterday. I have been lifting weights and gym for many years without getting the results I want, so I decided to get some outside motivation. She corrected my form a bit on bench press, which is exactly what I"m looking for, so great day all around.
02/06 186.0 this seems like a crazy number but what can you do? I slept with my rings on and I could tell when I woke up that my hands were swollen, so obviously this is water weight but it seems a bit extreme...
02/07 184.4 Haha, who knows what the scale will do tomorrow? I've been staying on plan all week and getting a lot of exercise so I am feeling pretty good either way. Fingers crossed for a good loss or at least continuing downward.

02/03 82.1kg on official weigh in day. That's 5.9kg {13lbs} in 4 weeks. This makes me very happy! Now to keep on losing
02/04 82.6kg this seems to be consistent - a loss for Sunday then up on Monday. I don't do anything different at the wknd except less exercise. So long as overall trend is down I'm happy.
02/05 82.6kg still keeping it green and waiting for this to settle back down

ROUND 67 (Round 13 for me)
5’5” 67 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
GW 135 lb.
I started Round 54 and Keto WOE on September 24, 2018.
Cumulative weight loss for Rounds 54-66 = 38.4 lb.
I like you folks, and I really appreciate and enjoy your company. Besides, I’m not sure I can stay on track without you!
Day/Weight/Comment
02/02 139.8 I’m starting this round .2 lb. above yesterday’s weight, but I had a short night, so I’m grateful it wasn’t higher. One way or another, I’ll have to get in a walk tomorrow. For this evening, I’ll complete my pushups and sit-ups. My pushups are still wimpy, but I’ll get stronger.
02/03 139.8 Again. Oh, well, tomorrow could be worse. I walked over 6 miles today, and that usually stunts my loss for a day. I ate more than usual this evening, too, watching the football game with my Boston-area born husband. He was happy with the game. We ate some of his left-over ribs from our date yesterday, and I made keto sausage cheese balls/puffs. I feed him extra carbs (he had the rest of his sweet potato this evening), but he likes most of my keto foods. We didn’t have company, so I have a lot of the sausage cheese puffs left—I’ll have three or four with a boiled egg for a quick breakfast before I leave for work in the morning.
02/04 140.6
02/05 140.4
02/06 140.6 I got busy and fell behind! I did another 6+ mile walk with Thor today. I have a strong desire to get below 140 again before the round is over. I haven’t logged calories for the last 3 days (experimenting), but I may have to start again. I was supposed to do push-ups and sit-ups yesterday, but I received the second shingles vaccine, and my arm is very sore. I think I can do the sit-ups this evening, but I’m not sure about the push-ups. Our local “pizza paradise” has started making a gluten free/cauliflower crust pizza that we tried this evening. It was good, but I wouldn’t know how to log it if I was logging. I had ¼ of a 10” pizza, which shouldn’t be too bad. I liked it. My husband prefers the regular crust, but agreed he could eat this one again.
02/07 139.8 I’m glad to be back under 140, if only barely. Six of our card playing group played canasta most of the day and the husband of our hostess prepared a very tasty low-carb soup and salad lunch. I ate some of the sugar-free peach pie our hostess baked, even though peaches not being part of my eating plan. Despite the pain from my vaccination on Tuesday, I was able to complete my sit-ups and push-ups last night, which made me happy. I have a rash at the vaccination site, but my arm is less sore today.

This is a good gluten free and low carb friendly zucchini bread recipe. I like that it doesn't use artificial sweetener/stevia, although you could substitute for the 2T honey. Enjoy! https://paleogrubs.com/zucchini-bread-recipe6

Day/Weight/Comment
02/02 - 181.4lbs - Whoosh! I was back to being good yesterday and had a snow day with my daughter so we played in that loads and made her first snowmen and did snow Angel's etc, so I got some natural, fun exercise in
02/03 - 182.02lbs - not surprised. Had sisters 40th birthday party last night, so had quite a bit of alcohol. I clocked up over 16,000 steps with all the dancing, but it was very energetic, so I expect the calorie burn was good. Hopefully undo some of the calorie damage of the alcohol and I'll see a better number on the scale tomorrow morning once I've stopped retaining water.

02/05 - 182.2lbs - having trouble posting. TOM.
02/06 - 181.8lbs - back on track and seeing the number fall
02/07 - 181lbs - still coming down, which is great started with another cold though. Not so great.
02/08 - 180lbs - wahoo. Really pleased with this. I guess my weight on Monday was mostly water weight as have had such a whoosh since then. Really want to get into the 170s by the end of this round! Fingers crossed. We're going out for a curry tomorrow night to celebrate DHs best friends 40th birthday (so many 40ths this year). Hopefully I don't do too much damage. I will be driving, so not drinking, so it'll just be the calorie dense food!

Day/Weight/Comment
02/02 - 62.8 kg (138.5 lbs.). 4.6km run in the morning. Go to Frankfurt for a haircut. Strength training is scheduled for the evening.
02/03
02/04 - 64.7 kg (142.6 lbs.). “30 day shred” with Jillian Michaels in the morning. Level 3 – legs killer
02/05 - 62.9 kg (138.7 lbs.). 9km run in the morning. Strength training is scheduled for the evening.
02/06 - 62.5 kg (137.8 lbs.). “Six-pack in 6 weeks” with Jillian Michaels and 4km run in the morning. It is getting more and more difficult to earn fitness points. I need 100 points to get status “Active” and 500 points to improve my fitness age. Jillian Michaels brought me only 54 points, so I had to run a bit… So today my fitness age is 29.

Round 66 ~|~ End Goal: < 165
01/01: 165.1: Goals ✅ Almost made it! Lol!
Round 67 ~|~ End goal: <164
02/02: 164.6: Goals Now why couldn't that have happened yesterday? Lol! Spent 4 hours walking round Belfast City with my daughters. Some offbeat food choices, but well under goal. Mostly water weight, I think.
03/02: 164.8: Goals ✅ Family visits today. Didn't over-indulge. Took it easy exercise wise.
04/02: 164.9: Goals ✅ I had meetings before/after lunch, but was able to fit in some exercise. Walked my steps up after dinner.
05/02: 164.8: Goals ✅ I had meeting in the morning and evening. Felt a bit bleaugh! In the afternoon and took it easy, then Will Power decided to desert me after dinner, and because I had spare calories, I ate a few snacks when I was out and before bed. It will have consequences, but the beauty of life is that we get a fresh start every single day.
06/02: 164.9: Goals: ✅ Planning to walk and go to the gym later. (I walked over an hour at the mall + some more later on the treadmill at gym, also did stationary bike and weights circuit.)
07/02: 164.9: Goals: I have a dance class this morning, and planning a arms session later. ✅All in all, a good day. Our daughter came for dinner, but she's doing Slimming World, so there were no temptations.
08/02: 164:8: Goals: *sigh* Plateaux are the pits! But they are a part of the process which we have to accept. This, too, shall pass! Noticed this morning that my muscle mass has increased from 27.2 to 27.4 which could explain this plateau.
THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Day/Weight/Comment
02/03 – no scale, went over calories and had beer, but planning on a walk in the morning.
02/04 – 194.7 – I’m actually ok with this. I gained less than a pound. Didn’t eat like a wanted, but went on an hour hike, so didn’t really go over my calories. No alcohol. Hopefully if I drink all my water and stay away from salt today it will come back down.
02/05 – 194.9 – up a little, but still under 195. I had 2 beers last night and a hamburger and tater tots. I did start C25K and drank all my water. Also did 20 squats.
02/06 – 194.2 – on the right track and hopefully tomorrow will be 194 or below. I recorded all food, drank all water, and no alcohol, but no exercise.
02/07 – 193.6 – YEA! Recorded all food, drank all my water, no alcohol, and did 2nd day of C25K.
02/08 – 192.2 – I’m very happy. Recorded all food, drank my water, no alcohol, but I didn’t exercise. C25K again tomorrow.
