02/13 β 143.5 β I had a tax client come in yesterday. Iβve been doing her work for 15+ years. Sheβs always been thin, but the past couple years, as she approaches 50, sheβs gained a little weight. She was shocked at my weight loss and asked how I did it. I told her about MFP, CICO, and this challenge. She was blown away at the fact that we weigh ourselves every day and share our weight and stories with each other. Having been in this challenge so long I forget how intimidating something like this can be. Whether weβre up, down, or stuck in a plateau, it says a lot that weβre here.

@IsMollyReallyHungry honestly, I was terrified of the exact same thing! I always have had a huge binging issue when it came to dieting or cutting back how much I ate. The 16 hours off ended up being really easy for some reason. I think itβs because I knew the schedule was there and my body got used to being so scheduled that it really wasnβt sending me hunger sides outside my scheduled hours. Cutting out sugar has helped immensely though. On days when I eat processed sugar, Iβm hungry in the evening (I fast 7pm to 11am). As for the morning (or whenever Iβm hungry and shouldnβt be eating) I drink a cup of coffee black. Definitely keeps me going until I can eat. Iβve lost 10 lbs in 1.5 months and Iβm ok with that progress because Iβm still eating all my normal meals and foods during those βonβ hours. If I actually combined a diet with it Iβm sure results would be better! Iβm happy with it reach out if ever you need anything!!

(Extra)02/11 (217.8lb) ate 3 cookies for breakfast, but still logged them in. Shared my oatmeal and fruit, but I've been opening and closing the cupboard constantly looking for snacks. Will power will be hard, but worth it! Decided I want to lose an extra .5 per week so I'm down to 1500 daily, I will try to do that for a couple days and see how I feel.
02/12 (214.8lb) an unexpected huge drop, surprised but confused. I hope I can stay under 215 for the rest of this challenge. Had a protein shake for breakfast today to try and help curb my hunger during the day, my regular breakfast wasn't doing the job. Also my first day for under 1500 calories with a hard limit of 1800(my old limit) Will be drinking lots of water and herbal tea and filling up on fresh veggies if I get hungry. I'm so EXCITED and MOTIVATED!!!
02/13 (217lb) Goshβ¦. This day was hard. I was a little bit dishonest with my calorie logging, 4 gummy fruit snacks and a bit of extra salsa at dinner(20-40cal) I didn't log. Maybe because I felt bad I didn't stay under 215, lol, but I guess it's just a fluctuation. Having a hard time keeping under 1500cal but a new day so will stick with it! Drink more water today as a goal too!

2/12- 175.8 Try to stay under calories and doing weights at the gym.
2/13- No scale I did not end up going to the gym last night. I did not eat a regular breakfast/lunch because of driving and meetings. When I got here my blood sugar was low and I was shaky, so I ate an early dinner and went for an indoor walk instead. I can do the gym tonight, though the weather is so nice I might just walk again. As long as I'm moving I feel I'm going in the right direction.
2/14- No scale I walked in a lovely new place called Tower Park. Got in a little over 3 miles. It's been awhile since I've done 4 it's been too cold or too dark. Ate well yesterday though sodium is high because I'm eating out every meal (work travel). I don't have a scale but my hands are a little puffy so I know I'm retaining water. I'm going a day early due to bad weather tomorrow morning so back to the scale and regular food. I think I should be able to stop and walk a trail along the Missouri river. I've done it once before and it was awesome! Maybe a pic tomorrow... Remind me not to be sad when my scale has an outrageous number on it.

Yesterday was a bit rough for calories. My supervisor brought me a Starbucks white chocolate mocha (just out of the blue). It was a super nice gesture, but at 470 calories it put a rather large unplanned dent in the day for calories. I ended up drinking half to be polite and then tossed the rest. I felt bad since it was a nice thing to do but I really didnβt feel like I was in a position to be like sorry Iβve nearly lost 10 pounds in the last month I canβt drink that otherwise I wonβt have enough calories for dinner. Oh well, at least I got to the gym at lunch. Today will be bad for sure, itβs Valentineβs Day and my husbands birthday and we are going out for dessert/dinner.9 -

02/14 - 140.8 lbs ugh back up to almost where I started. I just can't regain that .2 lb. Yesterday I did fine with food but I was very sedentary because it was pouring rain, so I didn't go for a walk and I had the day off. Tonight I have a date, as it's v-day. I'm gonna have some Thai food. So actually I probably will gain back that .2 (plus more). But that's ok I want to enjoy myself. But I will still do my best to track.

I gave in to an urge for CheezIts last night, so salt + extra calories. Why does nibbling accompany creativity? (I'm starting a new book in a new mystery series, so I really, really want snacks! And I was writing in the back of my friend's watercolor class - creative energy everywhere - and there's a vending machine down the hall and I had just enough change and....) Time to make myself some baby carrot + hummus packets, I guess! But I digress....Today I will try valiantly to resist whatever Valentine temptations show up today - maybe one truffle? - and try to focus on other expressions of love besides (shhhhh - whisper -- chocolate...). I started baking (a new-to-me obsession) before Christmas and I'm still at it, learning to bake yeast breads among other things ( made this little beauty last weekend)
but I'm trying to channel the urge into soups and such. Last night I made a delish chicken/turkey pot pie, cutting the calories WAY down by using almond milk, half the butter, and skipping the bottom crust. Still comforting on a cold, raw, windy night, but only 350 calories/serving. I've never been very domestic so I don't quite know what hit me! Off to the Y to burn some of it off. Have a lovely!

02/12 -201.6 (I feel very sore today after my workout last night. I lost a lot of weight in one day after drinking tons of water after the weekend!)
02/13 - 200.4 (Last night I did a 30 minute elliptical workout and ate some yummy pot roast with lots of veggies and some potatoes. I needed some comfort food last night )
02/14 - 200.4 (I had some Olive Garden minestrone and salad last night for a very low calorie meal. Everyone else was having 1000 calorie pasta around me and they all asked if that's all I'm going to eat!! haha I did a very light 15 minute upper body workout last night too! We'll see what happens tomorrow with me eating a little bit more than usual and my day off from working out will be today)

Been a year since I've last committed to this and now the weight has come back with a vengeance. Well, so have I!
Trying out some new exercises (signed up for rock climbing!) this time, hopefully everything goes smoothly. Thank you for starting this thread

02/12 -132.0 Rock climbing 2.5hr, jogging 1.5mi, small cool down core workout. Was good with calories until roommate tempted me with a homemade muffin ... it was delicious!
02/13 - 131.6 The crazy snowfall yesterday (weather warning in effect) coupled nicely with my rest day. Things outside are clearing up now and I've got no excuses on that front.
02/14 - 132.6 Whooo I blame this totally on the simply atrocious amount of snacks brought into the office today (someone got chocolates for the team!), and the fact that I had to stay in the said office until 7pm got in a good 1.8 mi run and some core workouts though so it wasn't all too bad. Also modified the rough GW, 3 lb seem much more reasonable

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!
