Iced in this morning but I'm hoping to get to the Y this afternoon for treadmill/bike time. I did my new weight training routine with several added machines yesterday - it now takes me 40 minutes. Feels good when I'm finished!

I didn't make it to the Y yesterday - didn't make it out of the house! - but I'm going now. I ate responsibly yesterday. All good. (Will be better when warmer weather arrives!)

I gave in to an urge for CheezIts last night, so salt + extra calories. Why does nibbling accompany creativity? (I'm starting a new book in a new mystery series, so I really, really want snacks! And I was writing in the back of my friend's watercolor class - creative energy everywhere - and there's a vending machine down the hall and I had just enough change and....)

Time to make myself some baby carrot + hummus packets, I guess! But I digress....Today I will try valiantly to resist whatever Valentine temptations show up today - maybe one truffle? - and try to focus on other expressions of love besides (shhhhh - whisper -- chocolate...). I started baking (a new-to-me obsession) before Christmas and I'm still at it, learning to bake yeast breads among other things ( made this little beauty last weekend)

but I'm trying to channel the urge into soups and such. Last night I made a delish chicken/turkey pot pie, cutting the calories WAY down by using almond milk, half the butter, and skipping the bottom crust. Still comforting on a cold, raw, windy night, but only 350 calories/serving. I've never been very domestic so I don't quite know what hit me! Off to the Y to burn some of it off. Have a lovely!

02/14 - 200.4 (I had some Olive Garden minestrone and salad last night for a very low calorie meal. Everyone else was having 1000 calorie pasta around me and they all asked if that's all I'm going to eat!! haha I did a very light 15 minute upper body workout last night too! We'll see what happens tomorrow with me eating a little bit more than usual and my day off from working out will be today)

Trying out some new exercises (signed up for rock climbing!) this time, hopefully everything goes smoothly. Thank you for starting this thread

02/12 -132.0 Rock climbing 2.5hr, jogging 1.5mi, small cool down core workout. Was good with calories until roommate tempted me with a homemade muffin ... it was delicious!

02/13 - 131.6 The crazy snowfall yesterday (weather warning in effect) coupled nicely with my rest day. Things outside are clearing up now and I've got no excuses on that front.
02/14 - 132.6 Whooo I blame this totally on the simply atrocious amount of snacks brought into the office today (someone got chocolates for the team!), and the fact that I had to stay in the said office until 7pm

got in a good 1.8 mi run and some core workouts though so it wasn't all too bad. Also modified the rough GW, 3 lb seem much more reasonable

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.

I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

UGW 135.....yes, 135!
I am taking care of my dad and am in the middle of moving. The good thing is that I am doing all of the cooking at my dad’s so I am in complete control of our food. I brought my weights and my scale with me and my dad has a recumbent bike I love riding. And I brought my sewing machine!!!!

2/12-167-When I got back to my dad’s house yesterday, there were Girl Scout Cookies and banana bread people had brought him.....I just had a taste of each and walked away.....and rode the bike.
2/13-168-I’ve been drinking my Beet Kvass I made and it’s salty. I have been riding the bike but I am also sitting a lot and sewing (and having a few beers). Today I am going to drink water and do the bike ride in the evening.....
2/14-167-Hmmmm...I have been eating good and riding the bike.My cousin is bringing us enchiladas and have dinner with us tonight. It has rained here every day and I can’t get out for a walk. My dad is recovering well after his knee replacement but I will most likely need to spend next week here with him.

02/12 / 178 this morning / I'm not discouraged. It's an odd jump so I have a feeling that it will be coming back down soon. My goal for this round is 175 lbs or a little lower. I'm focused and ready.
02/13 / 176.2 / I knew a drop was coming. I just hope I can continue on this path. I've been trying my best to do the right things this round. Worked out last night so needless to say, I'm satisfied.

My weight loss has decelerated, and it going to be a long push though these next ten pounds, I imagine.

2/12 147.6 I expect this to go up slightly tomorrow, didn't eat nearly enough yesterday and went to bed super early. But, it's a new number on the scale! My goal for today is to hit my protein goal. I have my first jiu-jitsu competition on Saturday, I'm super nervous, and I need to eat well leading up to it so I don't die.
2/13 146.7 I hit my protein goal yesterday (small victories) and worked out twice. My first jiu jitsu competition is coming up on Saturday. It is very small and only three women in my bracket. But still feel nervous. I'm going out to lunch to celebrate the anniversary of my first date with my husband. Need a strategy because I don't feel good about a "cheat" day right now.
2/14 146.7 Anniversary lunch yesterday went well. I ate only half of the pasta I ordered (puttanesca sauce, so on the healthier side) and a glass of wine. I can't believe there are only two days left before I compete on Saturday. Super nervous. Like, really really nervous. I am not an athlete. I was never an athlete. I excelled in participation ribbons.

2/12 - 132.6 - under calories yesterday. Whew, it was food and water I was carrying lol! Was not feeling well yesterday so light on steps.
2/13 - 132.4 - way under calories yesterday, my fitbit didn't sync till the last minute! Yesterday 10K steps and a 25 minute video workout: heart rate was high and muscles are sore, so I can't decide if it was cardio or strength

2/14 - 133.2 - bounce expected. Under calorie goal, 8K steps.

02/12 – 162 – There goes the bloat of the last few days, yay. Did not go to the gym but made it through the day OK yesterday. Draggy again today but don’t have to go anywhere except drive DH to work.
02/13 – 161.8 – No gym today as still feeling off, although much better. Will get my exercise shoveling out the car so I can go pick up DH. Glad our driveway is short.
02/14 – 162 – DH brought home chocolate. My cals. were low for the day (at that point) and did not eat it all so was only a tiny bit over.

02/11 141.2

02/12 143.4 I was really good last night but I did have a lot of salty food and I was feeling bloated today so this could be a combination of both. Just a fluctuation or else I don't know what I might have done wrong to earn this gain. I stayed under calories, worked out and drank 1.6 liters of water. 19,000+ steps. The past couple of rounds I haven't been coming to the group as often, although still weighing in every day but I want to make this group apart of my priority..it took so long to read the last thread and get caught up on all your progresses but I did it!

02/13 142.2 came down a little. Ate good, exercised and drank 1.3 liters of water, 8,000+ steps

02/14 141 I'M happy about this drop, super excited to keep going. Yesterday I ate under Calories, exercised and drank 1.3 liters of water and 6,000+ steps. 6th day sticking to healthy eating and watching my calories. I am dedicated to keep this up and keep going for the duration of the 10 days. No bad days this time around. Restart button is so far working good.

02/13—213.4—I felt chilled and tired all day yesterday. The weather was nasty, just above freezing with a light rain that just soaked through everything. And of course it was a day where I had to be out walking throughout the day. It's sunny today, though!

02/14—213.8—Completed another round of my pushups challenge. This required 130 pushups in about 15 minutes. As I said in another thread, it may have involved some cussing.

But I'm getting closer to my goal!
