Carry it around the store for about ten minutes. Then put it back and walk through the store again.
My niece weighs about what I've lost, so when I pick her up it's a nice little reminder.13 -
I wish I had taken a POV photo of me looking down at myself for a progress pic. For some reason being able to pull my old underwear up to my boobs is not enough of an indicator to my brain that my stomach is much smaller. I don't have this issue when looking in the mirror, and it can't be due to loss in the backside 'cause I never had one of those to begin with, lol. Silly brain.15

After 5 weeks of steady workouts, I couldnt understand why my shoes were loose. Then I read this thread and found others ecperienced the same. I also cannot stop touching parts of my body that have changed, pinching skin and just marveling at my new shape17

Thinning out in areas, but then seeing more noticeable pockets of fat. I am only about 25% of the way to my goal (30-ish pounds down), and only recently starting noticing areas like my thighs thinning out a bit. But that is making the fat roll above my knees more noticeable lol. That's super rude. I assume (hope, pray) eventually that will go away too, since I still have almost 100 lbs left to lose, but COME ON.

Lol how dare your body be rude to you. Congrats on the progress!9

well, I don't notice too much yet as I've only lost about 17 lbs...but I noticed that my liver isn't hurting as much anymore.17

I calculate I bought about six whole new wardrobes during the course of my weight loss. Even with charity shops, that got expensive.
But what I didn't anticipate is how much I'm still spending on clothes now I'm at my final size.
First there was the 'this is my final size, I can buy good clothes that will last' splurge. Then there was the 'hey, I don't have to hide my tummy anymore, I can buy styles I never even looked at before' splurge. Then there was the 'holy *kitten* what is this "cold" malarkey, now I understand why people have a separate winter wardrobe' splurge. Then there was the 'wait, I can wear designer clothes now' splurge.
Help, help, I think I've become a fashion victim...

Nobody told me that the most random people would realize I've lost 30 lbs, but a guy I dated who kept on mentioning my weight gain on the way up wouldn't say anything at all on the way down.27

After 20+ lbs of weight loss in a little over 2 months...
-How anxious I get to get on that scale every Monday and Friday Morning

I can't do the scale for that reason. I don't want to. I weighed myself on the day I started but don't foresee me weighing myself any time soon. I detest the scale. It is a total mind eff and so destructive. I can tell how I'm doing by how my clothes fit and how I look. I feel so much better not thinking about how much I weigh.9 -
I am down 30 pounds and wonder how i ever put it back on. Have another 60 to go! I love being able to set in the doctors waiting room and not feeling stuffed in the seat. The main benefit is how much youthful my face has become and the bags under my eyes are fading and fast At any rate on to the next 3024

How some days, you step on the scale, feeling fat and bloated, and find yourself 1kg lighter. That was me yesterday. I was convinced that my weight was the same, or a little higher - nope it was lower. I measured 3 times and the scale was showing me the same number.
Then this morning, I didn't feel fat and bloated and I was 0.3kg up - really hits home that weight loss is NOT LINEAR! The trend is definitely downwards - and that is all that matters!19 -
My socks wear down much faster because of more walking. Totally makes sense, but never occurred to me until I had to throw a second pair out this week. Must invest in better quality socks, glad my sock size doesn't change!23

That you the “lumps” on top and bottom of your sternum are your clavicle heads and Xiphoid processes respectively, you have always had them, everyone has them, and only seem freaky because you never noticed them before.18

Ive lost almost 30 lbs, still have about 50 to go, but I'll take the wins when I can find them, I looked back and realized that my flexibility to look behind me had significantly increased, I"m like whoa, I didn't know I could twist that far back - I could actually see behind myself...I really don't remember being able to do that.28

My interval run felt easy today, been working hard at the gym lately but this same workout felt really hard a few weeks ago!10

If like me you had a really big belly for years before losing weight, your xiphoid process may be popped outward and protrude farther than it should. Mine is gradually returning to normal but is still more prominent than before I gained weight.6 -
That the same mattress will feel very different after losing 40lbs!15

No one tells you how amazing it feels to be able to sit in seats in public places like theatres, knowing that you won't get stuck between the arm rests, and that you are no longer taking up half of the person beside you's seat. I was always so aware of that, and sat uncomfortably, arms and elbows tucked in as much as possible to my sides, as if being so big didn't make me self conscious and sore enough.
My favourite occasion like this though, is the daily commute on the train. There are extra seats for use when the train is very busy. They are folded up against the walls at the windows in a couple of places, and are approximately a quarter smaller than the standard seats. I can now sit on one of these and not overflow on to my neighbour.
I love this! I never get tired of it. It's something I didn't ever think I'd have.40 -

It's not the same as starving but a low grade hunger, especially in the evenings. You're fine all day long with your 3 meals but directly after eating dinner, this low grade hunger comes upon you in the form of old cravings.
That your tolerance and indifference for cravings and triggers is a muscle that will grow stronger with use.
I'm so glad I came across your comment. I have been scrolling for some comfort here because i've been feeling the low grade hunger you talked about and i wanted to find some motivation to not give in to the cravings.22
