3/6 - 173 - 5g carbs - eggs. Tired. Poor sleep, active mind.
3/7 - 173.8 - 5g carbs - eggs. Holding a little fluid. A bit short on water yesterday. I drank my 2nd dose electrolytes at midnight, went to bed, developed a stomach ache.

3/10 - 174.2 - An early weigh in as far as my fasting schedule. I'm experimenting going back to 12/12 for a week or two for a little break. Expected from increased carbs, but, seems that I haven't learned my lesson about drinking salty water late in the evening.😦 It's okay. 19g carbs, 14g net carbs. Carbs were: salad spaghetti squash, pesto, peanut butter (1.5 TB) YES to vegetables!

03/07 - 196.4 - I love how easily the weight drops at the beginning. I checked my glucose level this morning (my daughter has T1D) and I’m down 4-10 points, depending on the day I tested. Only 5 more to normal fasting glucose levels!!
03/08 - 195.8 - OMG!!! Fasting glucose of 92!! I really wasn’t expecting to see that this morning, but it’s confirmation for me that I’m doing the right thing. Being down 6.2 lbs isn’t so bad either!!
03/09 - 195.4 - Still doing good, still feeling good! I’ll be busy all day today, so probably limited time to even think about food!
03/10 - 194.2 - I was so tired by yesterday afternoon, but I think it was from the late night a couple of nights ago. I’m feeling satiated with the foods I’m eating and the scale is still heading downward. Win!!

03/04 - NW - I did two episodes of Zombies, Run! and intended to do another, but I needed to finish hooking a hat together for a trip today. However, I might cancel that trip due to ice on the sidewalks; I have no desire to end up with a broken hip. I will likely instead have lunch and do a Zombie, Run! Food is doing good.
03/05 - 306.2 - WHOOOSH! - About to have breakfast. My aide comes today. So, I will go for a walk after she leaves to avoid having to pace in the apartment. I'm not allowed to leave her alone in the apartment. I'm averaging two walks a day of Zombies, Run! I just wish it would consistently pick up my steps. I've increased my steps to 7,000.
03/06 - NW - Did two episodes of Zombies, Run! yesterday. Food is okay. I'm figuring out today as it is Ash Wednesday and therefore technically a fast day, but gotta eat with some of my meds. I will be going Mallwalking today. Woot! I have considered taking advantage and doing an episode while I'm there. I don't anticipate the mall will be very busy today which helps my anxiety. I plan on walking at least two episodes today.
03/07 - NW - Mallwalking went great yesterday. The last time I attempted I lasted 12 minutes. Yesterday I walked over an hour for 2.54 miles. My first full meal of the day was dinner and unfortunately it did not stay down. I redecorated my living area before I made it to the bathroom. Today I plan to get in at least one episode of Zombies, Run! I discovered yesterday the GPS will work in the community room but not in my pocket. I also have to fast the majority of the day due to lab work at 2, and the actual appointment is at 3. I'm seeing my endocrinologist today.
03/08 - 303.0 - Got my Zombies, Run! yesterday. I'll get in at least one, aiming for two episodes. It's Friday, so it's a day of fasting and no meat. I'll still have dinner as I take Latuda and it needs a minimum of 350 calories to work. I have a couple of groups to attend today, but then I'll head back home. I'll do some cleaning today as well.
03/09 - NW - I walked one episode of Zombies, Run! yesterday and the story had an interesting turn to it. Today I plan to do two to three episodes. I struggled yesterday to hit my step and am considering not increasing it on Monday. I'm not sure another increase will benefit me at this point vs stress me out in trying to reach it right before bedtime. It's warmer today but raining so no walking outside today. Maybe tomorrow I can walk outside with a light jacket on, if it's not too windy.
03/10 - 301.2 - Woohoo! Going well. Did two Zombies, Run! yesterday. I did not hit all my active hours, partly due to talking to a friend, but she's in a bad place right now and needs someone. Food is on point; however, I am running out of lettuce, boo. I will have to plan for that this week. I see my dietitian in the morning and I think she will be pleased. It's supposed to be my rest day, so I may or may or may not do Zombies, Run! episode(s) today. I'm not going to push myself too hard. Just gonna chill.

Well, that makes no sense. I couldn't gain 3 pounds overnight even if my calories were crazy, which they were not. So I'm recording, shrugging, and moving on. Speaking of moving - it's 7F right now and I do not feel like moving myself from my warm house to the Y! Maybe I'll suck it up and go, or maybe just do something here. Anyway, I have my food planned for the day and am working on no stupid snacks. U.S. friends - if you're in the path of the current storms, be safe!

I was sick yesterday afternoon - I think a mild reaction to a pneumonia shot I got in the morning - so I skipped dinner and, when I got up around 8 p.m. I had a lovely bowl of ice cream. I spoke too soon - I'm still not feeling up to par and I slept most of the day today, which is why I'm late here. I'm also hurting again from the PMR I've been fighting since last summer, so I'm back on an anti-inllammatory diet to see if it will help. I didn't notice much difference last time, but I have to do something. So basically I'm on veggies, fish, chicken, and a little bit of fruit for a bit.

To my surprise, I got a good night's sleep even after sleeping most of the day, and I feel MUCH better today. I've also decided not to make my diet quite so restrictive, so I'll be eating as clean as possible, but including whole grains and healthy fats. There is so much conflicting info about food and inflammation - it can make your head explode! But I do have a sense of what makes me feel good and energetic and what makes me feel like crap. Sugar is the biggest offender, and I have it back under control after my crazy 4-month baking spree, which was very weird for me. So I will now limit my baking urge to whole grain, low-/no-sugar items, particularly breads that have nothing in them but the basics. Yum! And now I'm off to the Y! 03/04- 354.8 I’m seriously surprised by this loss. I stayed on track yesterday, but had a horrible night and was up fairly late and am aching this morning. My mother in law got lost, ran out of gas,and we had to try to help her from 10 hours away. Thanks to the New Mexico State police we got someone out there to help her. On top of that my brother was rushed to emergency surgery for an abscess and sepsis. Today’s goal is to not over eat from stress and being tired.
03/05- 354.2 My brother is doing well and should be out of the hospital tomorrow. After posting yesterday I realized my kitchen pipe was frozen, we got it thawed without any additional problems. My mother in law is still on the road, but is now deciding to stop at night rather than risk going into ditches or running out of gas. Thanks again to my supportive spouse I didn’t binge eat yesterday. Partially because he did! That’s right he stress ate a few baked goods I had set aside so that I wouldn’t.
03/06- 355.2 It took a good long look at yesterday’s diary to figure this one out. I think it’s from my pancakes and muffin dinner with a bit of sodium weight tossed in. It’s okay I know that it’s water and will be gone in a day or two.

03/05—211.4—Another rather hungry day, though I was able to keep my calories in a good place. I hate the cold, but I took a nice long walk yesterday while it was in the thirties. I felt fairly invigorated, but I probably won't do that again today.
03/06—212.8—Not a concerning bump for several reasons. 1. Bumps happen; 2. I had a Frosty yesterday; 3. This was an early weigh-in; 4. My digestive system is positively wonky! Still having a good week, though I'm terribly sleepy this moment as I sit at my desk and attempt to write regulatory comments!

03/04 – 143.6lb – I’m up, but knew I would be, as I was eating the left-overs from Saturday’s girl’s night which I hosted! I went for a 70s theme – prawn cocktail, duck a l’orange with steamed veg, finishing with baked Alaska! Unfortunately, I’m not so good at chucking away food. Today was better though, with a good breakfast, salad for lunch and salmon curry with rice for dinner. OK, I did have a couple of sandwiches in the afternoon. But, my NSV was instead of raiding the cupboards before going out to the gym, I read some people’s threads and thought better of it! Thanks!!!
03/05 – 143.2lb – down slightly, but could have been up so much more if I hadn’t read the threads on this page! It was a busy day at work, with no time for a proper evening meal, so had a hot lunch. It was ok but I would have preferred to have had a hot evening meal at home instead! Just had 1 and a half pancakes in recognition of Shrove Tuesday. My husband kindly made these without much oil in the pan, he then swore because the batter stuck to the pan! I was just grateful for a cup of tea and a pancake!
03/06 – 141.6lb – perhaps I should eat 1.5 pancakes more often!!! Or perhaps I should stay at work and eat hot lunch instead of evening meal at home?! Off to combat soon and a bit more walking to ensure I get my 10,000 steps done!
03/07 – 142.5lb – not sure how I could be a pound up, as I worked hard at body combat and did get my steps in! Perhaps it’s a one day lag from eating pancakes on Tuesday? Eating out tonight – walking there and back to a pub about 1.5 miles away. Did come back and have a couple of brandies though!
03/08 – 142.2lb – despite eating out last night (including cheese and chips, but no wine!) I’m down a little bit. Not enough mind! Did have a couple of chocolate biscuits at work – just because they were there!!! Eating at home tonight, but I am enjoying a naughty glass of wine – the scales will punish me tomorrow! I am good at self-sabotage!!
03/09 – 142.5lb – had porridge for breakfast and had an indulgent cheese and tuna toastie for lunch. Managed to get my target for 10,000 steps completed and managed to do slightly over!
03/10 – 141.9lb – got up reasonably early for a swim. I always mis-count so did extra to ensure I did 40 lengths. I actually did 42! Breakfast was lovely with a couple of poached eggs on a piece of unbuttered wholemeal toast with a side order of baked beans. Would love to get below 140lb – I exercise an ok amount, so it must be my portion control and self-sabotage!

03/04--213.1 Went out for breakfast at my favorite place. Didn't drink much water the whole weekend...have to work on that today. Run day today.

The dog is feeling much better today, but what is even better is that over the past year after my vet told me my dog needed to lose about 10lbs, my dog has lost 12lbs. It's funny, her weight loss came from proper measuring of her food, reducing her snacks, and increasing her activity...exactly what I'm doing. Run day today.
03/09--213.6 I feel bloated today. I had eaten most of daily calories by 1pm yesterday and continued my normal eating for the rest of the day. However, I still finished W6D3 yesterday and I've already gone to the gym this morning and did my weighlifting workout. Rest of day is to run some errands and relax.

I found this new snack that I thought fit into my current food sensitivity diet, but I snacked on too many of them and I think there is also something in them that is bothering my system. I gave my husband the rest of the snacks for him to bring to work. I was planning on doing a run today, but my legs are feeling heavy so I think today will be my rest day and I will go for a run tomorrow and I will probably just go for a gentle walk with the dog later today. Going to the movies today and planning on having popcorn.

03/04: 202.6 (I’m glad I started at a good number! I lost about 0.4 pounds since yesterday which never happens on a Monday morning. I’m hoping for a great start to the week! Last night I ate some soup and salad and did a 40 minute stepper workout.)
03/05: 201.2 (This drop was nice! I felt very energized last night to do my 2 workouts. One was 20 mins on the elliptical and the other was a core workout. I even made a nice oven fried chicken dinner too which is rare for a Monday since I usually do those on the weekend. I think all this working out is really affecting my energy level , in a good way, and I love it!)
03/06: 201.4 ( A slight increase which most likely has to do with an increase in exercise. On a weekly basis, I increase my minutes on the elliptical and the last two weeks this has been affecting my weight loss with most likely water weight because of my sore muscles. 03/10 197.0. Back down to where I was a couple weeks ago. My body decided to have the period a week early, the same week I started my new job 😡 I’m going through perimenopause and NOT having a good time with it. I have severe acne which I’ve never had before and so I’ve been doing a lot of reading about food and supplements and pretty much using my body as a test. I don’t like doctors or medicine and believe food heals (or hurts) the body. But I know, obviously, that my hormones are out of wack and maybe a few other issues. I’ve always had a smoothie for breakfast, recently changing the ingredients for more anti inflammatory foods, being conscious to stay away from estrogen spiking supplements. And I now have a fresh produce juice at night. Salad and protein for lunch and a protein for dinner. I’m curious to know what has helped others get through “the change”?

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

Mar 4 - 179.6 - thanks for starting a new thread Grandma. I need to buckle down and start losing, I seem to be maintaining very well but at the wrong weight.
Mar 5 - 176.2 - I’m not sure what is going on with all of these fluctuations. Maybe I need to change batteries in my scale.
Mar 6 - 176.4 - I tried three times today got 176.2- 176.0 and 176.4 .
Mar 7 - 178.2 - again I weighed 3 times.
Mar 8 - away no scale
Mar 9 - away no scale
Mar 10 - 182.0 I knew going away was a bad idea. A lot of this is sodium though.

Short Term Goal: Lose 2 pounds this round.
First Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 175 by my Birthday on May 10th by sticking to my plan to lose 1.5 pounds per week (or 2 lbs per round).
My Second Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 165 by the 4th of July using the same plan as above.
My Third Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 145 by Halloween.
Exercise:
During each Weight goal I plan on doing cardio in the form of dancing at aerobic levels whenever possible. I would also like to walk as much as possible although walking outside is impossible for me this time of year.

03/04 …..189.2 ….. The same as yesterday (thank Goodness!) Here we go folks! Good luck on the new round! Yesterday’s stats: 2109 Calories In (out to breakfast) / 2374 Calories Out. 12,235 Total Steps & 5.18 Total Miles, all from my heavy Sunday work schedule. No IF yesterday. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 15 minutes. No planned exercise as I worked all day until 7:00 PM & then had a movie night at home with a friend. Another heavy work schedule today but I hope to fit in my dancing, at least. I gotta get the ball rolling here! Have a great week everyone!
03/05 …..188.9 ….. My Fitbit numbers were phenomenal yesterday! Today will not be so good. I had several sitting appointments including with my attorney but I am trying to get as many steps as I can in. Yesterdays stats: 1135 Calories In / 3090 Calories out. 8 Net Carbs. 24,128 Total Steps & 10.22 Miles !!! Yay me! 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. IF 16:8 . I slept for 4 hours & 18 minutes. I walked at moderate pace for 93 minutes at the school. I danced for 71 minutes at home, all in one set. Sample song “Money for Nothing (I want my MTV) by Dire Straits. Much slower paced today but glad I will be food prepping although that doesn’t offer too many steps. I love my strong moments & strong days. I hope they will become more & more frequent. This winter weight has got to go.
03/06 ….. 188.7 ….. Such a slow process at times, but well worth the weight (wait lol)! Twisted my ankle yesterday doing absolutely nothing but walking through my livingroom. Spent most of the evening with it elevated. Yesterdays Stats: 1304 Calories In / 2346 Calories Out. 8 Net Carbs. 10,128 Steps & 4.28 Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. IF 16:8 . I slept 5 hours & 13 minutes. I danced for 27 minutes. Sample song “Nobody to Blame” by Chris Stapleton. Happy hump day everyone! Good luck to all those fasting today.
03/07 …..188.9 ….. A real binge a birthday party for a friend. I have no idea how many calories or carbs but I know it was ridiculous. I’m shocked that this weight isn’t higher this morning. It may show up in a few days. Tonight is my normal Thursday night Pool & Potluck. Pray for me. Yesterday I burned 2302 Calories (but ate more I am sure). 8,488 Steps & 3.6 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Steps. No IF. Not enough water. I slept 5 hours 43 minutes. I danced a 15 minute set. Sample song “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga.
03/08 …..190.8 ….. I’m sure I am out of ketosis. I will be doing an Egg/Fat Fast starting today to kick myself & body in the behind & get back going. Thanks to Tish @tiabirdie56 for the invite to the fast, I am only too happy to join her. While she started days before me & may end today, I will use this tried & true method for at least 3 days. Pool Hall Potluck went well but the cheesy potatoes were my downfall. Best guess on Yesterdays Stats: 2010 Calories In / 2520 Calories out. 179 Net Carbs (ugg). 11,341 Total Steps & 4.8 Total Miles. IF 14:10. Slept 5 hours & 23 minutes. I danced a 40 minute set yesterday. Sample song “Wagon Wheel” by Darius Rucker (Hootie). Have a great weekend everyone. I’m going to remain hopeful & try hard to dedicate myself to the egg/fat fast. I will be thinking of all of you too.
03/09 …..189.2 ….. Down 1.6 overnight in a nice Whoosh! Egg/Fat Fast is working. I also increased my movement again big time. My level of exercise is pretty low at my age, in my region and with my overall health issues. But I rocked it in my own little world yesterday to help make this succeed. The only fail is that I was so busy & just didn’t drink enough water. I will try to fix that today. Yesterdays stats: 1115 Calories In / 3152 Calories Out. 6 Net Carbs. 21,535 Total Steps & 9.11 Total Miles. IF 16:8 . 13 /13 Fitbit Steps. I slept 5 hours & 17 minutes. For planned exercise I took a 90 minute walk inside the school (no mall here) which consisted of a 3 mile walk. I danced 62 minutes in one long set. 03/10 …..187.2 ….. Another Whoosh thanks to the Egg Fast. It is to be expected that some of the weight will return as I integrate back into my whole food plan, but if any stays off it’s a win! My downfall is that I continually do not drink enough water, or fluids of any kind. That can cause a quick weight gain when sodium is increased and added back in higher amounts after the fast. I MUST DRINK MY WATER & FLUIDS! Today is Sunday, my busy day at work. I should get my steps in easier, but again, time for fluids????? Yesterdays stats on Day 2 of my Egg Fast: 893 Calories In / 2492 Calories Out. 4 Net Carbs. 13,162 Total Steps & 5.58 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Steps. IF: 19:5 . I slept 5 hours & 47 minutes. I danced 59 minutes & the sample song was “California Dreamin’” by the Mamas & the Papas. I’m thinking of you @quiltingjaine on that one. Another great vibe to the song, but the right beat too.

@tiabirdie56 and @deepwoodslady I agree about refiguring macros after 10 pounds but have also read you should refigure them monthly which could be only a couple of pounds.1
