Round #5 for me.
Followed a 1000 calorie diet for the last 5 weeks! Lost some weight during the first 3 rounds but not as much as I expected and the last round was Disappointing for me. I gained .6 lbs .. Still hanging in there. Got some great advice from other members here and will make some changes this round.. I'm trying now the 5:2 diet, where I'm eating free for five days of the week (up to 1700 calories) and the other two days restrict calories to 500–600 per day. Hope I'll see good results this round.

03/14/19. 211.8#. Taking a one day break from working out today. Back at it tomorrow. Had a great day! Feeling good! Didn't stay under the recommended calories, but I stayed under 2,000. I'm pleased with that.
03/15 211.8#. I'm down 2.2# from last Friday. Workout-strength. It's Friday. Fasted most of the day.
03/16 210.2#. I'm 0.2# from my goal weight. This week I have been feeling so much better! I've had a cookie that wasn't home cooked, otherwise I'm at 13 days of not eating processed food. I worked out 5 days this week. Today will be #6.
03/17 210.6#. One thing I learned today: don't eat 2 servings of a new recipe and then figure out how many calories it is. Not good! If I figure in my exercise, I'm under 2,000 calories. Only 56 ounces of water today.
03/18 211#. Totally went nuts at supper. 3 servings of alfredo even after knowing the calories. No motivation for anything. Didn't workout today. Super lazy.
03/19 210.8#. 30 minutes exercise. 1,526 calories in. 66 oz water.
03/20 210#. GOAL REACHED. New goal 200#. Ate when hungry. Had a couple major cravings today, but I didn't give in. 1,517 calories in. 88 oz water.
03/21 209.8#. 97 oz water. 1,455 calories. Felt pretty good today. I've been tired all week, but I haven't gone to bed early either.

03/14 78.2kg maybe... Weirdness from the scale this morning. Bumped into the PE teacher yesterday as I was going for my late run and she took me up hills and all over!
03/15 78.0kg.that's 10kg down💃🏽. Ran this morning but really need to do those push ups!

03/17 77.0kg couldn't be happier! I feel quite dehydrated though so it might go up tomorrow. Also measurement day. Down another 4.5 inches to make 12.5 inches lost overall. Even did the pushups yesterday!
03/18 77.0kg all good. Even ran despite the rainy night and wet ground. Only a short 1.5km to start the week and I did pushup etc yesterday!
03/19 77.6kg for no reason so no worries. I'll keep within calories and macros and it will go again.
03/20 77.7kg still no reason and that's why I only record weight on Sunday! Pushup yesterday and a short run this morning

03/14 234.8 Happy to have found this challenge. Finishing a vacation and feeling that I could have enjoyed it more and been more active if I were healthier and lighter. Was not able to be as physically active with my kids as I would've liked. It is no fun being the least fit person in a group.
03/15 234.6 Overnight drive last night. Energy level was really up and down today. Not caught up on sleep yet. Not well hydrated.
03/16 234.6 . Listened to a guided meditation for weight loss on Insight Timer before going to sleep last night.
03/17 240.1 Decided to start weighing and posting at night. Figured weights may fluctuate more, but it is more convenient for me. Depressed about vacation being over. Should be much easier for me to eat less this week though, due to return to normal life.
03/18 236.8. Back to work, boohoo. Very busy and stressful day. Didn't sleep well last night and had a terrible neck/headache all night and today. Finally took some Aleve and it helped tremendously.
Don't know why it takes me so long to think of taking a pain reliever.
Did a yoga DVD and the whole family participated (6 year old took a break to eat some Rice Krispies). Back felt a lot better after.
Still feeling dehydrated all day.
This was the most “normal” day since the start of the challenge.
03/19 235.2 . Did not have a big enough dinner last night. Got a headache again today. Definitely still overdoing it on sugar.
03/20 236.2 My aunt had a stroke 10 days ago. My mom put her on the phone tonight for a few seconds. It was wonderful! Family history of stroke and heart attack are something to start taking seriously. I want to live my best life possible.

03/14 133.2 – yay !! starting with a drop! An hours yoga and just over10 miles walked yesterday. Today is my 1000th streak on MFP.
03/15 133.2 – just over 2 ½ miles walked yesterday; all gained around the soft play area that I went to with 2 daughters & their babies, had lunch & indulged in carrot cake too – but that was only indiscretion and was within calorie intake goal for the day.

03/14 - 274.4 - Had a great PT session last night. My trainer really pushed me and I upped quite a few of my weights on some lifts. I also joined the gym yesterday so I can do my training another day during the week. I am out on Saturday night so i'm trying to save a few hundred calories here and there so I don't go over my weekly calorie goal.
03/15 - 274 - So achy from Wednesdays PT session! It's just over 9 weeks till my cousins wedding and I told myself I was going to complete the C25K before it. So going to start that with some friends tonight. Got a busy busy weekend this weekend. Up first thing tomorrow to get the horses done, PT session at 9, meeting up with friends at 10:30 for breakfast, at a 1st birthday party in the afternoon and then an engegement party at night! Hope I can track my food and alcohol for the day! Started the C25K

03/22 - 272 - Went for a run again last night, I really struggled with my legs. It's something that i've had a while. My earliest memory of it was about 16! It doesn't happen every time but when it does it's just so painful, almost like that painful stage of cramp. I started getting it during my warm up so knew I wasn't in for a good session. I had a quick google and located the pain in the Peroneal Tendons. No idea what it could be. Meant to be running again tonight.

03/19 - 61.1kg (-0.6) - Back on plan. 3 weeks and 5 days until my boyfriend arrives... Not that he is going to give a *kitten* how much I weigh after 3 months apart lol but I'd like to be back in my maintenance bracket.
03/20 - 60.2kg (-0.9) - Light dinner last night so not going to get too excited about this number. May still make goal this round though which would be good! Just heading out for my run and pre-logged my food. Feeling strong!
03/21 - 60.2kg (0) - Happy to see this number holding but I'd love to see a number starting with a 5! Working from our Glasgow office today, where they always have the tastiest treats in the kitchenette. Brought my own snacks and will avoid even going in to the tea room! Wish me luck.
03/22 - 60.2kg (0) - I am stuck on this number! I had a strong day yesterday - was feeling terribly emotional and still made good choices about what to eat, chose a salad when out for lunch with a colleague, avoided treats in the coffee room and went for a run even though it wasn't in my plan. And scored a NSV! I ran my fastest ever 5k yesterday, despite having been laid out with a shoulder injury for the last 6 weeks! Feeling very proud

03/14 - 209.6 - up 1.4. No idea why, but today I will be super good to get back to where I was. Very good food wise and plenty of brisk walking
03/15 - 208.2 - back to where I was. Not a lot of exercise today. And not at home so eating was a little off.
03/16 - 210.6 - omg where did that 2.4 lb come from? Was expecting to be up but 2.4lb? Food ok, exercise none!
03/17 - 208.6 - weighed later than usual. Food ok but no exercise again. Another day of eating on the run.
03/18 - 211.8 - back to the 208s again. Food was good. Plenty of water and a 7km walk around my couch to 5k.
03/19 - 208.6 - very good food and water. And I managed a yoga class and a brisk walk. Not a long walk but at least I made the choice of 25 mins walking while I was waiting instead of grabbing a quick coffee.
03/20 - 207.6 - finally below my start weight! Good day food. Not as much exercise as I would like but I squashed in 2 shorts walks.

I don’t make a goal to lose here; I see how much I can lose within the 10 days. I do have goals and am on number 3. I don’t count this as completed until 210 or under.
My Goal 3 is to be 210 for March 29th – I will accomplish this ahead of time. I have other goals but have to reevaluate them, due to the weight already loss.

03/15 - 210.0 – met my March 29th goal of weighing 210. I have to reevaluate goals today (was waiting for this weigh-in to do this).
03/16 210.6 – no complaints or explanations just moving onto the next day! I finally got new bands for my tracker a couple days ago and yesterday walked over 11,000 steps for me that is a lot.
03/17 – 209.8 my scale is screwy this morning, every time I stepped on it, it was a different weight all lower (207.2, 209.4), the last time I stepped it shot up to 210.8 (I know this amount is not correct), so I took the first one when stepped on the scale (the weight you see), I hate this scale really liked my first one, but it seems off since my hubby fixed it.

03/19 – 209.4 Surprised by this but I shouldn’t be, because started the day out by eating cookies, and it went down from there even though within my calories and a lot of exercise and movement so would not show on the scale my bad choices.
03/20 – 209.8 I can’t keep dwelling on it, this morning. I must let it be what it is and figure out what I am doing wrong. I am under calories always, I exercised more the past couple days, and got my 10,000 steps in, drink lots of water.
03/21 – 210.6 I don’t know what is going on here, I don’t cheat with calories, because I exercise and this allows for the calorie increase, I drink lots of water, I don’t eat after 6pm. The only difference is yesterday didn’t get extra exercising in. I don’t binge eat. I’m so disappointed.

Last round got off to a difficult start but I had a woosh at the end and exceeded my goal by 2 pounds.
I'm setting my new goal at 153
This round I'm going to concentrate on staying really hydrated, getting lots of sleep, keeping up my 5 gym days and avoiding wheat/potatoes.
3/14- 154.6 starting the round with a new low! Recovering today from two heavy exercise classes back to back yesterday. I might need to pace myself as today I've been feeling quite weak.
3/15 - 153.6 (-1#) I wasn't expecting this drop and am thrilled because it puts me into the 10 stone bracket, just! Going out to dinner tonight though so I expect it'll go back up.
3/16 - 154.4 (-0.2#) yep, as expected, its back up a bit. Did an exercise class so that gave me some flexibility with calories for the meal out. I managed to stay within my calories by choosing wisely. It was an Indian restaurant so choosing something without tons of oil is tricky but I went for chicken shashlik and alcohol free beer. Going to cinema tonight so that's going to be another challenge! I won't drink again tonight as it makes it so much easier to make food choices!
3/17 - 154.6 (-0#) another tricky day yesterday, went shopping and had lunch at pizza hut. Had a flatbread pizza and a couple of bowls of salad but stuck to vegetables with French dressing. Cinema in the evening, had a few crisps and chocolates but not much. No gym but stayed within calories.
3/18 - 155 (+0.4#) yuk, no-one likes a gain! Did two exercise classes back to back yesterday and was quite tired afterwards so ended up taking a nap. I was feeling sore and drained in the evening so had a mini binge on some biscuits. Carby day! Five more weigh ins to get down 2#!
3/19 - 153.4 (-1.2#) yay back down again and a new low! Didn't workout yesterday but had a very physically demanding day clearing out the garage and fitting my new workshop. Crashed out in the evening and had two blackberry muffins for dinner! (Can't resist my daughter's baking) still feeling quite worn out today. Going to visit an old friend which is lovely but she always makes a cake so I may be having cake for lunch!
3/20 - 152.6 (-2#) I think I just lost a shed load of water weight as I have been feeling achy and tired and yesterday I was peeing a lot! Didn't end up visiting my friend so was able to eat carefully. However I had a mini binge on a white bread roll with butter and a beer. Oops!
Haven't been to the gym since Sunday as I've just not felt recovered enough and it's getting me down. Also I'm concerned that a large part of my weight loss it's muscle loss as I feel like I'm losing strength and my biceps/upper arms have shrunk quite rapidly, this is not good.
3/21- 151.6 (-3#) down again! I'm not going to change my goal weight though as that's tempting fate! Yesterday I rested a lot during the day and didn't eat much. Did a body combat class in the evening which I found really tough. I think I need to make sure I've eaten enough if in gonna attempt that class again as I just burned out really quickly. Starting to get hopeful that I might get into the 140s next week but totm is looming and that usually brings a plateau of a week or so.
3/22 - 152.4 (-2.02#) weighed after breakfast as was too hungry to wait! Did spin class and 90 mins yoga so feeling really stiff today = water retention? Had salty fatty sweet cravings last night but managed to stay within calories. Last day our challenge tomorrow but as it's Friday anything could happen!

14 March: 122.3 lbs * Round three for me! I'm going to set my Round 71 goal weight at 121.3 lbs, so a pound loss over the next 10 days. Going out for dinner tonight and I've already put my meal into MFP so off to a good start!
15 March: 122 lbs * While at dinner last night I was tempted by a slice of chocolate cake for dessert. After looking the calories up on the restaurant's website and seeing it would only put me over my calorie budget by 75 I figured... screw it, and went for it. I opted not to get the ice cream on the side which would have put me over another 200 and wouldn't have been worth it. But the chocolate cake was! Didn't seem to harm anything as I was still in a deficit and the scale still went down this morning.
16 March: 122.5 lbs * I ate a massive chunk of my calories last night waaaaay after 8PM (when I usually stop eating for the night), so this wasn't a shock.
17 March: 122.3 lbs * Going back down -- feeling good! I've rediscovered granola and yogurt for breakfast. Sooo tasty and filling!
18 March: 122.3 lbs * I weighed in earlier than normal this morning but I didn't want to wait cause I was hungry. Need to drink more water today!
19 March: 122.3 lbs * Apparently my body really enjoys being this weight. Not worrying too much as I'm sticking to my calories and drinking lot of water. Trusting the system!
20 March: 122 lbs * Back down to my lowest this morning, I was very happy to see that! Date night with my husband tonight, might eat at maintenance but not sure yet. Leaving the option open. I'll be eating the majority of my calories for dinner tonight regardless so I won't be too surprised if there's a small increase on the scale tomorrow morning.
21 March: 122 lbs * I decided I didn't need to eat at maintenance last night since I was full-up from dinner. I'm feeling really good lately. My sleep is amazing, I have so much more energy. I've fallen in love with cooking all over again. And I'm still enjoying all the food I always have. Eating things I like in moderation is the key to my mental success, 100%. I focused too much in the past on letting other people's unsolicited advice tell me how and what I should be eating ("don't do x", "don't do y"). But lately I have been listening to my own body and judging my progress based on how I am feeling mentally and physically. I feel that this has been the biggest positive change. This journey has been more of a mental hurdle than anything and every day its getting easier. I really do feel like I could do this forever!
22 March: 121.5 lbs * Happy to see this small dip! Bit of a slower week but I've kept to my calorie budget and made some other positive changes. These last 5.5lbs will be slow but I'm in no rush. One more day until the end of the round!

03/14 – 188.3 – great way to start after no loss the last round.
03/15 – 187.0 – So excited with this after the last round. I just need to keep recorded all food, drinking my water, and no alcohol.
03/16 – 187.4 – really glad to stay below 188 because I had wine and pizza last night. Didn’t go over calories to much but I still did ate more than I should have
03/17 – no scale and I didn’t eat right. I was out of town with family. We did do a long hike.
03/18 – 187.6 – still ok with this after the weekend’s eating. Back on track today.
03/19 – 188.9 – not happy with this, but I will keep plugging away. I’m hoping the weather will turn nice so I can start walking.
03/20 – 187.4 – Yea! Recorded all food, no alcohol, and drank all my water.
03/21 – 187.8 – slight gain, but had a beer last night and Mexican food. Still drank all my water.
03/22 – 187.4 – steady in the 187s. Had some leftover Mexican food, but no alcohol and drank all my water. Hopeful to end this round with a good loss.

03/14 – 142 – Holding steady which is a surprise due to my stress snacking lately.
03/15 – 142.5 – There’s the snacking. It could also just be some water weight, it happens all the time.
03/16 – 142 – Yesterday was such a crazy day I had no time to pack food for work or cook at home. I drove through the drive thru at McDonalds and got an egg mcmuffin w/o Canadian bacon for breakfast, a co-worker grabbed lunch at Chick-fil-a and I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, then my sick husband wanted pizza for supper so I ate one piece. Although I’m surprised the sodium/carbs didn’t hit this morning, I have to say my choices and quantities are better than I would have made before I started my weight loss last year. I know I could have ordered salads, but all in all it wasn’t a terrible calorie day and I felt satisfied.
03/17 - 143.5 - I knew it might take a couple days to show up! I'll be so glad when tax season is over and I can get back to a normal life.
03/18 – 144.5 – I wish I could say this was due to a fun night of partying last night. I know I didn’t eat enough to gain over 2 pounds so hopefully sticking to my weight loss calories and drinking plenty of water will get me back to the middle of my maintenance range by the end of the week.
03/19 – 144 – Slowly moving back down.
03/20 – 142.5 – That moved quicker than I thought it would!
03/21 – 141.5 – A new low!
03/22 – 139.5 – Not exactly sure what’s going on here. The past few days I haven’t felt well and as of last night I’m on antibiotics for a boil I had to have lanced yesterday. I weighed 144 at the Dr. office last night, fully dressed with shoes, so either my scale is acting up or the antibiotics took care of a lot of inflammation overnight. Either way, it’s nice to go into the weekend at this weight.

03/14: 196.4 - Started out the new challenge with a loss from yesterday, that's a good sign
03/15: 194.2 - I like this trend, hopefully it can stick around for a while. Not really sure if I believe the scale or not lol
03/16: 195.0 - A little bump from yesterday. That's ok.
03/17: 195.0 - We have another birthday party today, lets see if I can learn moderation before then
03/18: 194.8 - I didn't go crazy yesterday at the birthday/BBQ!
03/19: 194.0 - I was off yesterday and we got a ton of stuff done. Back to the grind today.
03/20: 193.8 - I know it's not much from yesterday but seeing this made me happy!
