Success(es)/challengesof the week:
I tried a new strategy to avoid bedtime stress eating. I brushed my teeth and washed my face after dinner. I did this six out of seven days this week, which is better than last week. I went to my yoga classes and I’m still meditating every day for 12 minutes. I’ve switched to walking for my non yoga days. The pedals in my stationary bike aren’t working properly (too loose). But it is nice to have milder temps and longer days.
Challenges: That’s a rough wake up call to see my weight increasing this month. And it came as a surprise today because I weighed in at 129 midweek. So I’m hoping to higher weight this morning is at least partly due to eating salty foods and drinking wine at a party last night. But I do know that another part is that I haven’t been as consistent with my healthy eating habits. I’m really going to tighten things up this week so I can end this month well.8 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight went back up this week. I couldn't weigh myself this morning + yesterday but I know it went even higher cause I overate by a few hundred calories. On weekdays I tried to stay in a deficit to bank up my calories but my weight still went up a bit from last week. It might be ovulation though or just waterweight because of too much carbs but it was still annoying that for some days I ate 300 calories less than my maintenance and my weight was still up 0.1-2 kg the next day, it can be just frustrating. Maintenance is much harder than I thought it would be...9 -

Successes/struggles: Crazy work week for me this week (teacher/parent consultation evenings) so I had to plan carefully to make sure I didn’t get too hungry and succumb to the cakes and biscuits provided by the bosses to “keep us going”. Also required some determination and commitment to keep up the exercise despite the extra work hours. But I did it! Have done two 10k+ runs this week (and smashed longest run, fastest mile and fastest 5k times) four circuit workouts and a 6 mile walk so I’m very proud of myself. Feel like I’m in a good place at the moment and hope I can keep it up.
Wish you all a good week to come x11 -

Success/struggles: my kids were home for spring break this past week ( together, i don't think they ever had a spring break at the same time!). They were both sick, but we didn't get their bugs, that's awesome! We had a super rainy week, so couldn't ride much. Actually, today was my first good ride in two weeks, so 32 miles for me today. Cycling makes me happy, clears my head and helps sort things out. My trend is down, didn't gain any weight with kids being home, yeah! Good week. Hope everyone has a great week too!9 -

Success of the week: I've been maintaining very well for a month -- at least until this week. Weekly average is right at my goal, even though scale weight is going up for five days.
Struggle of the week: My ex came to town mid-week for a supper visit, and I ate way too much. Good tacos and all; just ate too many chips and salsa. Then extended my emotional eating through the weekend. Scale was up higher than it's been since mid-February and nearly outside of my maintenance range. Had a meeting on Sunday where some really good but salty pizza was served. I had plenty.9 -

Total Weight lost: ~80 lbs

How long in maintenance: I called maintenance in July 2016, but I continued to slowly lose until December of 2017. I have been in maintenance since December 2017

March 31
Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight is right where it needs to be in the middle of my range so that is a success. My struggle is that it is still a little hard to see the scale go up, but I am trying to not worry about it. I had dropped down to 113 and even my trend had dropped below 115 so the last couple of weeks I have been trying to get back up to around 116 or 117. I know my scale weight was up some from eating out on Saturday. My weight has been down during the week and up some over the weekend the last couple of weeks so I know that it is just fluctuations. But even though I know I am not fat anymore I still see that fat person when I look at myself. I do sometimes see the thin me in pictures or in the mirror, but when I look down at myself I still see the same person I have been for many years. I have been told before that I primp a lot and I know that I do look at myself in the mirror a lot. But I think that is because that is really the only time I ever think I do look thin. Most of the time I still feel fat. I think we just have an idea in our minds about what we look like and it is hard to think that we have changed. Kind of the same way we often feel like we look the same as we always have and then see and old picture and realize that we actually do look a lot older now. I am glad to have this group. I know that many of you understand how I feel. I think that most people who have never lost weight and tried to maintain that loss just think that you should be happy that you reached your goal (and I am) and don't really understand how hard dealing with the fear of gaining it back can be.12 -

Success/Struggles: I didn't get a chance to post over the weekend - I had one daughter and the grandkids over until yesterday afternoon, and the other came over Sat to make it a family day. My younger daughter is still breast feeding and came down with mastitis which she fortunately caught early, so she spent as much time as she could resting and I took care of the boys. Exhausting! I went way off track with my eating, and I'm so happy to get back to my normal schedule today and ditch the anxiety
Wishing everyone a successful upcoming week!10 -

How long in maintenance: I reached my goal weight about a year ago, but kind of bounced around for a while.. it's taken til now since the beginning of the year to be getting consistent weigh-in's in the range I want to be in. So, I'd say only within the last couple weeks I've officially been in maintenance

But feeling back to myself and back to a comfortable spot in my maintenance range. Just in time for the weekend to come back around, I always struggle the most on the weekends15 -

How long in maintenance:January 22nd

March 3:178lbs
March 10:178lbs
March 17:179lbs
March 24:179lbs
March 31:178lbs I'd imagine this won't change. I log all my food, and I'm obsessive about getting my macros correct. I'm 40% Protein, 30% Carbs and 30% Fat, which works out daily as 200g, 150g and 78g respectively. I'm over achieving on protein and underachieving (just) on Carbs and Fat.
Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week:
Trying to mix it up with new exercises. I'm starting to feel too comfortable. Pushing myself is the best idea I can come up with. I'm at that point now where I can see my abs, but only in a certain light, or if I push them into position. I'm still aiming for 5% fat, but struggling now with nutrition. It's a fine balance. Eating too little and I loose weight, eating too much and I gain the wrong weight. What I eat so far is working, so I guess I keep going with what I'm doing, it's just taking longer than I want, but I have to realise that it's only been 11 weeks. Patience.6 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Not surprising - I’ve been tapering and carb loading in preparation for the half marathon tomorrow - of course my weight went up. I ran half the course last week as part of my training run - love having this huge park in my “backyard!”
On a related note, I committed to doing 1000 burpees in March. Finished that challenge on Thursday! Woot!
Have a great week, everyone!

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Back home all week. Solid calorie counting and solid workout week. Seeing strength increases in my lifting.
Weigh in today was the lowest I have ever seen. I am thinking I need to bump my calories a little or deduct 75% of exercise instead of 50%. I’ll think it over, on to April…

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Dealing with some abdominal pain issues. Lots of medical tests. Hoping it is nothing major. Appetite good but since my stomach hurts, I don’t even want to overeat so it feels too easy to be in maintenance. Still I am happy to end my second month of maintenance in the middle of my range. Good luck to everyone in the upcoming week!10 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: An ordinary week with a bump in weight at the end after an indulgent, high sodium dinner, one that I fully expect to be gone by Monday. Exercise has been very consistent, though my strength gains have continued to stall because I haven't yet moved to a more challenging training program...one that, yes, I planned on starting some weeks ago. A bit more stress now that the end of the semester is approaching, job interviews are ongoing, and free/family time is at a minimum, but that hasn't translated into going over my weekly calorie budget. All in all, it's a bit boring on the maintaining front, but no gnus is good gnus!
Have a great week, everyone!9
