The fresh baked brownies our client brought us yesterday. They were so good I cut up half the pan to give to my dentist's office in the same building. I'm the only one who apparently eats brownies now in this place.

Jet's Pizza deep dish duo with onion (pepperoni shown). Basically cheese sticks on one side and pizza on the other.

They brought back the cotton candy blizzard for the summer. I'm trying really hard not to go there and eat it every day. It is a good thing my location doesn't have the blizzard cake version otherwise I would really be in trouble.

See... I find nothing appealing about this at all. I would definitely not be eating this if I had the calories. To me this isnt a pizza. The one above is more like it for sure.

Is this like a New York vs. Chicago thing? Do I need to put on an accent?

They really can't be compared. Sometimes you want fine dining. Sometimes you just want gooey, cheesy, carby goodness while you binge watch some Netflix guilty pleasure. (And remember, the calories don't count in this thread, so it's not a matter of being "worth it" ;) )

It's definitely not a Chicago thing. Where is the sauce on that pizza?!

Round here, deep dish means more cheese, not more crust.

I've seen deep dish pizza, not Chicago style with sauce on top, referred to as Detroit style. No idea if that's accurate or not though!

More of both, with extra oil in the pan for good measure and a few more gratuitous calories

Those are a combination of "If money didn't matter" and "If calories didn't matter". I've always wanted to try those, but can't bring myself to spend 5$ a pint!

Ditto. Maybe when the husband and kids are out of the house for a week this summer I'll treat myself and have one for lunch/dinner

I usually buy Ben & Jerry's when my husband is out of town, LOL!

Also a very good option! @quiksylver296 recommends The Tonight Dough highly. I owe it to her to give her a try!

I have tonight dough in my freezer. picked it up on sale. 350cal for half a cup though urgh. i haven't been able to eat it yet. maybe it'll get freezer burn and save me the cals.

If not i may have it on my bday.

I was making an analogy to compare the two, haha. As in, I want to argue something that's not important like how people argue whether Chicago or New York pizza is better. Perhaps I should have referenced something else like toilet paper over the roll or under the roll thing.

    It's midwest pizza, lol.

Edit: I shouldn't use big words when I use the wrong ones lol.

You are correct, Jet's originated in Sterling Heights!

This is Chicago style, with the sauce on top. According to wikipedia, Detroit-style is the rectangular pizza.

Side note: I could really go for a Lou Malnati's pizza right now.

especially as I am a big time volume eater. I have a very very hard time even now wrapping my mind around being satisfied by small portions. a big part of me feels half a cup is not even worth eating.

we shall see, i may eat a cup and toss the rest. or i may just toss it. I actually have a birthday cake (sorta cake) I plan to make for my actual bday.
