    Hi,
    I am new here and I would love to join this, but I have a few questions.
    Could someone tell me what the following acronyms stand for: OSW, RSW, RGW, UGW, CSW, and GW?
    I have seen them on a bunch of peoples posts and I am not sure what they mean.

    Here is a bit of background and my current status:

    @Joiha Welcome! We are glad to see you join.

    OSW=Original Starting Weight
    RSW=Round Starting Weight
    RGW=Round Goal Weight
    UGW=Ultimate Goal Weight
    CSW=Current Starting Weight
    GW=Goal Weight

    These are all just ways that people post how they started the round or how much their original starting weight was before MFP (my fitness pal) or before they started these challenges. You can list whatever information you like in any way you like. I think you'll find this challenge informative and supportive. Best of luck in your goals!

    @Joiha I also have a bunch of food sensitivies that I just found out about in November after a blood test and also have non-celiac gluten sensitivity. I'm not following any specific diet, I just eliminated the foods that I am sensitive to and I'm slowly reintroducing the foods and seeing what happens.

    Stay strong, it's not going to be easy, I remember my first weekend after eliminating all those foods and I was staring into my fridge and I started crying and saying how I was so hungry and how there was nothing to eat, my poor hubby had no clue what to do. Now, I don't even miss a lot of those foods because I remember how heavy/bloated/uncomfortable I used to feel when I ate those foods and how much better I feel now.

    F/29 5’5”

    OSW: 343
    CSW: 327.8
    GW: 150

    Round 74 Loss: 10.5 pounds (339.3>328.8)

    Day/Weight/Comment
    04/23- 327.8- I have MCAS and woke up in a flair this morning, swollen and rashy, so I’m surprised the scale went down at all, but I’m glad it did.
    04/24- 327.8- this is a frustrating moment. I was soooooo good about foods, sodium, getting my water and even walking. I know that it’s fine that the scale doesn’t move but it just feels bad.
    04/25- 328.8- if this is some cosmic test, I’m not feeling it. I stayed in my calories, I got my water in. I’m so frustrated and I don’t understand why I’m stuck in this limbo.
    04/26- 325.2- yesterday was a bad day, and I went over my calories and had pie so I was sure that today would be an up day on the scale, but no! I am really glad to see the number move :) back to doing better today!
    04/27- 328.2- this is so frustrating. I was so good about my calories and sodium and water, so this is a real downer.
    04/28- 329.4- doing what I’m supposed to and still having to watch all my progress disappear is making me wonder if it’s worth it.
    04/29
    04/30
    05/01
    05/02

    Hang on in there it will show eventually - sometimes we just have to be patient ! Have you tried taking your measurements? Sometime that shows that the plan is working before the numbers on the scales.

    @tiabirdie56 That grasshopper! It’s probably been 40 years or more since I picked some fresh spinach from our garden, thoroughly washed it and steamed it only to discover a worm INSIDE one of the leaves. It turned me off spinach for awhile but I think of that worm every time I eat the stuff!

    Those memories always stay with us - as a child I bit into a peach to find half a worm, 50 years plus I still will not eat fresh peaches !!!!

    @quiltingjaine I suppose you're right, we've got to work on the mental/emotional stuff as well- it's not just about the number on the scale! Otherwise, I'd have been confidently strutting around when I was younger/smaller!
