Can you believe my little lad had his first morning at preschool this week?! Time flies.

It's a small village school so they mix the preschoolers in with reception class (kindergarten??). So he looked tiny compared to the 5 year olds - he's 3 and a little shortie. Super cute in his tiny school uniform though! He was a bit hesitant at first but then enjoyed himself so much he had a tantrum at hometime and didn't want to change out of his uniform.

I want this post to have a super great/ super cute button.

Happy to report that I'm feeling slightly better today! :) It helps that I bought a bunch of chocolate (lots of calories in a little package!) and managed to get my calories met both yesterday and most of the way today. Not being dizzy and weak and irritable makes the whole world seem new. ;)

Thanks again to you guys for both the suggestions and the commiseration! Both were amazing and I'm feeling a lot less hopeless today. <3:)

Glad that you're feeling a bit better.

I know I can get bad stomach pains if I eat ground beef or peppers. Before I realized ground beef was the culprit the pain would be unbearable whenever I had to use the restroom. I used to get more stomach pains when I was smaller (150-160) not sure if some of that was due to occasional binging, IBS, eating too much at once (eating my massive volume salads I used to eat), etc.

Do you have to get a prescription in your country to get things like Gas-X (or an equivalent)?

In today's episode of treasure hunting at Dad's, I found my grandmother's butter crock (I have the rest of her wedding china already), more reel-to-reel tapes, and my mom's coffee mug. I am vaguely grossed out by the idea that my dad hasn't washed in the 23 years since she died, but there's still coffee on it. I will be washing, bleaching and drinking out of it for the rest of my days.

There isn't enough bleach in the world.,... you are brave my friend

Nah... There's a drip of coffee down the outside of the mug. And I haven't washed it yet either.
My mom talked to me at 9:30 on 9/21. She told me that she was going to finish her coffee and go to bed. I know that she drank it, rinsed the cup out and put it upside down on the dish rack to dry. I've seen her do it so many times and done it for her too.
She had a headache and missed the splash of coffee on the outside of the.mug. She had a stroke at 3:12 on 9/22 and she never woke up.
Anyway, there's dust inside the mug and coffee and dust on the outside. And I will bleach it and drink out of it eventually. I just have to take time to hand wash it. It's still wrapped up in newspaper in the box I brought it in because it has been a crazy busy week.

OK this sounds better. I was picturing a mug half full of super old, moldy coffee 😣

I forgive you because you didn't know my mom. I could see myself in her kitchen sink. :) I would have washed it if it were at my house and I suspect that my dad just stuck it in the cabinet when everyone in town brought food and we needed to wash their dishes.

Yes. So much. I think it's because I have Friday and half of Thursday off to go camping. I don't wanna be here!

YAY Camping!! I would be in the same boat, lol. Camping would suck today. There's 2" of snow on the ground. More to come.

It's in the high 60's here in the valley. Up in the mountains it will be cooler, but that's ok! That's what a campfire is for!

I bit the bullet & bought one of the weighted blankets (I bought the one at Walmart for $49.99). The first night I didn't realize it came out of the outer layer so I threw it off & the second night I had a hard time sleeping in general since I'm now used to sleeping in (work more later in the morning than earlier) & took it off.

The past few nights I do think it has helped with me not rolling around as much & staying asleep longer without waking up every few hours (not sure if a lot of that is due to my ADD).

The past few nights I haven't been hot, but not sure how the summer months will be.

Weighted blankets shouldn't be particularly hot. Mine is, but the person who made it for me knows that I am cold-natured and wouldn't mind that. I will probably put it away mid-May. (The weight in my blanket comes from the yarn. It's hand crocheted in my college colors and doubles as my stadium blanket.)
ETA: Ian has a weighted blanket that isn't hot and one that is winter weight. #Autism #AutismMom

The years seem to accelerate and next thing you know they are grown. It's crazy.
