This is a two part challenge from our winner.

    1. Water. Let's try for 10 glasses daily.

    2. This part of the challenge I've come up with, in light of today's natural happenings. I live in Virginia and we had an earthquake today. Nothing too crazy, but enough to make me think. What is my Emergency Food Plan? I don't have one. Do you? Most of the things that I would have put on the list before MFP would have been things like chips, chips, and more chips. So, the challenge is this: What is your Emergency Food Plan and is there a way to put a MFP (healthy ) twist to it?

    Glad you are OK!!

Thanks for challenge, very interesting too. I have an emergency kit in car and in home and keep trail mix, snack bars (fiber one, Kashi Trail mix, etc), caned sardines and pork n beans in mines now. These things are dated far off and easy to eat if a disaster hits and not able to get to grocery store. I would be very interested in knowing what others options we have and still be healthy.

Don't give up! Maybe you just need to change things up....Have you tried changing your workouts or what you are eating?

Thanks. Its my fault. I have been eating too much junk. Working out I am on top of. I do lots of different work outs. I need to get back on eating healthy. The summer is so hard for me.

    Thank you!

It sounds like you are off to a great start! I have started to do some research. I had never thought of keeping something in the car and in the home, but it makes perfect sense. Canned tuna, beans, crackers/Cereals (whole grains), and canned juice are some options I've found thus far. I, too, am very curious as to what heathy alternatives are out there. Looking forward to putting something together by weeks end!

I have a 72 hour kit (basically a plastic tub) with canned juice, sticks of gum, hard candy, beef jerky, some canned food, OTC meds, dry dog food, candles, matches, water tabs etc. Enough to get my family (the four legged creatures too) through 72 hours. it can be grabbed and taken quickly if needed. I have a small stash of canned goods and bottled water at work as well.

I grew up near the Gulf coast where hurricanes would come up and being prepared to evacuate was a part of life. I also keep dry canned beans, rice, flour, meal, wheat and a 55 gal drum of water on hand just in case we have to go a week or more without access to a grocery store.

A good web site I've found was provident living.com. They have quite a few things for purchase that will last 20 years! It can be scary when things go bad and there's no food to feed your family.

Hope all in the earthquake are fine!

08/22: 129 I got a new scale that is dial so no more point anything for me the new scale does give same weight as old though. It is hard to read my scale but we will make do.
    08/29:
    08/31

Well I got it figured out so I can read my scale easily (just needed more light) I have made it to my monthly goal and already this week it looks like I am only about 2 lbs from my final goal I set up when I started in January. So after Aug challenge I won't be doing anymore. I have been doing this challenge for at least 4 months now and have really enjoyed it even though the last couple June and July anyway I didn't have much luck. Now I am thinking about going into maintenance in the next month or so hopefully that will go well.
Thanks everyone for the support and I wish you all the best of luck in being losers. I will post my weight for the 29 and 31 of this month yet.

Well, bad food week + pulled leg muscle = gain. Last week I spent too much time in restaurants celebrating two birthdays, plus reduced activity due to the leg. I'm pinning all my hopes for Wednesday on water weight that drops off quickly since I was still 144 on Friday. Getting my water iv ready to go now.
