Am I bad for chuckling at this?! If the poster is serious, I believe the issue is serious. But, I'm guessing troll, so . . .4 -

Yeppers. It doesn’t matter how often you use them, if you aren’t able to go without using them, that’s being reliant on them.
OP, at this point people are calling you a troll because it’s hard to believe that you don’t care whether or not you die. Most people, given a choice, prefer to live. If you are completely impacted and you wait two weeks for your appointment, assuming you live that long, the most likely thing that will happen is that a section of your bowel will die, requiring you to have surgery to remove it, and then wear a little baggie with your poop in it hanging off your body until you heal, possibly for months. Does that sound like something to look forward to? Please stop treating this casually and go to the emergency room. There are hospitals where you live, with emergency rooms, right? You get in your car and you go to one. And they treat you right then, not in two weeks.4 -
@rheddmobile can’t don’t drive11

You poor dear.
Not only is your stool potentially impacted by so is your ability to benefit from emergency services.
This is just terrible. I am giving you a nice tight hug which I hope doesn't hurt too much as I lovingly squish you.
I hope you will be able to find a solution to this dilemma and I wish you the very best of luck in doing so.
Let us know how it all poops out for you.10 -
That’s why there is such a thing as an ambulance. There are also Ubers and Lyfts. And friends with cars. And busses. Seriously, you are not housebound.12

methinks this thread is full of poo
5 pages of posts and I don't think there is a single one that doesn't say "go see a doctor" in one way or another.6 -
@rheddmobile who says I’m not housebound? I don’t have enough money for a uber or taxi because how far away it is from me it would cost a fortune and why would I call an ambulance when there are people dying as we speak. I think your ignorant and don’t respect that some people might not have be as privileged with money as you. Also neither of my friends drive so that won’t work either.20

It amazes me that the only thing you respond to is when people question you. There have been dozens of replies (including from a doctor and nurses) and instead of taking it seriously, or even saying thank you, you simply continue to attack people who are offering help.
You literally asked for help, I don't know what you were hoping people to say but obviously, the answer is you need urgent medical attention. There is no other answer.
You say ambulances are for the dying, well the truth is, soon you will likely be in the back of one in a very serious condition if you continue to delay getting medical attention.11 -
I am not sure where you are but $40? to take an Uber or Lyft to save your life is smart money.9
-
I have responded multiple times that I have already booked an appointment yet people still continue to comment and attack me for no reason. I don’t have the time or money to book an immediate appointment and have no way of getting there. I will Be seen to and if I die before then fair enough but I could also book an immediate appointment for in a hour and die before then there isn’t a time frame. Not a single person on here can tell me what to do with my own body or health so stop giving me abuse when I reply something and you disagree with it. I’ve listened to the advice of go to the doctors and that’s what I’m doing so bye.18

You live in a western country. There are ways to get to medical services in an emergency. If it isn't urgent enough for an ambulance ( which I agree it isn't if you can dilly dally on your computer)
You catch a bus, for example. The same way other people who do not drive or are not privelidged with money do.
If you live in the outback in the middle of nowhere you ring the on call medical service.
I don't believe this situation is real - but for benefit of anyone reading - if you do not have a BM for 2 weeks and your abdomen is rock hard seek urgent medical attention.
You may need surgery for a bowel obstruction - but that is better than perforated bowel, peritonitis, death.17 -
@paperpudding well it is real but oki. I just think it’s funny that just because I have different opinions to other people or don’t believe I’m I’ll enough to waste an ambulance when it could be given to someone having an heart attack that people start to attack me and claim I’m lying about being ill. Sick of everyone on this app just pathetic. Alls you do force your opinions on people and then bully them once they give a response because your *kitten* advice isn’t suited to their situation.17

Well if not a single person here can tell you what to do with your body or your health, why ask for advice in the first place???
And an appt in 2 weeks is too long.
And, no, you are not housebound - you just went on a 2 week holiday and you go to work.
Silly thread is too silly.

If you wait two weeks, you are very likely to be praying you could go back in time to spend 40 bucks for a chance at timely treatment.
I’m not ignorant of what it’s like to live without money - I’m an independent contractor, I went through years without health insurance, and there were times in my college life when my budget for a day’s food was less than a dollar, so that was one orange at ten cents, an egg sandwich (with free ketchup packets and sale bread), and a package of ramen. You say you have a job, and you just got back from vacation, you aren’t desperately poor. In fact you are clearly more privileged than I am, since I don’t get vacations.

I’m housebound in the sense I have no transport to go anywhere else unless I have money to pay for it which I don’t. And if it’s silly don’t comment on it. And I asked for advice because I wanted people to possibly tell me what could be wrong or suggest things which people suggested I go to the doctor which for the 1000th time I AM DOING. People also suggested upping my fibre and cereal intake which I will also try.15

@rheddmobile don’t have £40 to pay for a taxi if your that bothered about me going immediently you pay for it coz otherwise I don’t have any money for it. My holiday was paid for by my dad so I could go with my friends and I have a job but my money goes on keep to live at home so don’t act like I have money coming in at all directions coz I don’t10

And yet you continue to respond. And in just the ways a troll would, too!
I mean, either you’re a troll, or you’re someone who has a medical emergency but would rather die embarrassingly than spend a few dollars or take a few hours off work.
Either way, it’s pretty hard to care further at this point.15 -
No point trying anything except seeing a doctor.
You can find a way if you really want to - just like everyone else does in urgent situations.
You just seem to be trying to up the ante now to get more reaction. Story is less and less credible.
Over and out from me.13 -

Others also repeatedly pointed out that upping your fiber intake would be a BAD IDEA. Why are you following the advice that everyone else agrees is bad, but won’t listen to the majority of people telling you that you need immediate care?
Why are you fine with settling for medical care in two weeks when you have been told by actual medical professionals that you need to be seen sooner?
Also, unless you live in an extremely rural place, there is more than one ambulance where you live. The hypothetical other sick person can take an ambulance. You can also take an ambulance. These are not mutually exclusive things. This is an excuse, and it’s a poor one.
You are making a LOT of excuses for not getting medical care. At this point it’s mind boggling that you are this resistant to going to a doctor.18 -

If your dad was willing to send you on a holiday, maybe he could help you in this life-threatening emergency.33 -

Heart attacks and obstructed bowels both kill people and are both medical emergencies. I’m still not sure you grasp that even though actual medical doctors on this thread have said so.
Gonna leave you alone after one last try, just in case you are a real person with a real situation. First thing tomorrow morning when your doctor’s office opens, call, explain that you have a problem which cannot wait two weeks, and demand to talk to your doctor’s nurse or assistant. Most likely they will have that person call you back and then they will not bother to call back, so keep calling. Then explain the problem to the nurse, with all the details you have given here. If the nurse says to go to the ER, please listen.
You are right about one thing. No one is going to save you but you. You have to make the choice to get help in time, and no one can do that for you. No one here has said to wait two weeks before seeing a doctor, so please stop saying you are following everyone’s advice to see a doctor, because you aren’t. I know what it’s like to have to choose between paying a deductible or eating for a week, but sometimes health care is a higher priority.10 -
As someone with a medical condition that causes chronic constipation if not taking prescriped fiber pills, PLEASE see a doctor immediately. With that much waste sitting in your intestine, you are a walking time bomb for serious medical emergency. Relying on laxatives is very harsh for your system and can cause issues itself. Make sure to discuss how long the issue has been going in, what your diet is and as disgusting as it is, your movements. All of those can help your doctor diagnose the exact issue that may be occuring and prescribe the correct treatment to get you back to health. I hope you get proper help and feel better soon.9

This thread has really devolved into bickering. Is this not a site filled with adults?
Good luck with your health, glad to hear you're making steps to see a doctor.
Happy pooping in the future, oh and if people are being rude with you over this thread. You've received your advice, there is no harm in deleting the thread so the rabble doesn't get roused and you don't have to deal with it. I doubt 6 pages of "advice" and bickering is truly helpful after a certain point lol.24 -

If you father was prepared to pay for a holiday for you, surely he would be prepared to help you see a doctor whether if was paying for a taxi or taking your there.
So many excuses on your behalf so little action.

OP do you live in the UK? only you used the pound sign £ which makes me ask.
If so no matter how "rural" you are there are many ways of getting emergency help to travel to hospital for treatment without endagering another human being by stealing their ambulance. The NHS provides non emergency transport you just need to call your local hospital and explain the emergency and they can arrange for a volunteer from the hospital to come and fetch you.
OR
Your dad could take to you or pay for you to go to a hospital if you explained the emergency
Your friends could help find the money to get you to hospital if you explained the emergency
A colleague at work might ake you to hospital if you explained the emergency
A neighbour might take you to hospital if you explained the emergency
I am sure your doctors surgery could give you advice on transport to hospital if you explained the emergency
There could be a village agent/volunteer in your area that would take you to hospital if you explained the emergency.
Stop making excuses for why you can't get treatment for your issue sooner than two weeks.

Also the UK has the NHS - OP does not need insurance or to pay for medical care.
The only cost is that of getting to the medical centre - which in an urgent situation could be over come.
Like all other people find ways to do so, when they have to.8 -
