06/26 - 153.8 - This seems a little more realistic. I was fairly good on water yesterday. We did have some exercises to do (HAZMAT training) so I couldn't have my water nearby so I didn't hit my 75 oz goal but got at least 60oz in me. Much better than any days recently. Today we will be in full bunker gear outside (supposed to be mid-90s and likely heat index in the 100s) so I'm going to try to drink as much as possible, but can't drink water while in the gear so it might get interesting, depending on how long we are in it. Tomorrow's weigh in will probably be impacted by it, I'm sure. But I'm okay with at least having this weight as a pretty good idea of where I am. I was able to eat pretty well yesterday. Such a big lunch I wasn't hungry at dinner so I just had peanut butter on a small tortilla (didn't go grocery shopping yet and didn't want to cook at 9pm) to hold me over.

Previous day's comments for R8106/22 - Another stormy morning. Not as much back pain today but mentally I can tell I'm not in the greatest of places. Going to treat myself to a pedicure, a nice meal, and a movie to try to cheer myself up and get out of the house. Hopefully the distraction will help.
06/23 DNP
06/24 - forgot to post yesterday but managed to get some food down. Very dehydrated though.
06/25 - Holy bloat! Yesterday was the first time I was able to eat like a normal person without getting anxiety-induced nauseousness. Lots of carbs and had ice cream as a treat for a good mental day (I asked for a small scoop and got a big one. But doused in nice fresh strawberries, so yum!). Before that was a tiny town bar's taco salad. Instead of the tortilla bowl, they put it on a bed of tortilla chips. So much sodium! I can even tell by how my belly LOOKS bloated as crazy. Going to be more conscious of eating today (yesterday I was just happy to be able to eat normal again) and start losing from here (much healthier weight loss from when I started my anxiety-riddled days)

06/22 136 18/30 accomplished. Was able to get off work early today but I was so tired I passed out when I had chores and meal preps...😥😥😥 I also just found out my day off on Monday is no longer happening. I should be there for three hours only (just to organize inventory) but who knows. I want this rounds food choices to be better. This job won't be getting any easier and if I am stationed here then I need to learn to adapt to my new environment. So far I have worked two weeks straight...I don't think I have ever worked so hard in my life, which I don't mind because I love it, it's just the meal preps that are getting to me
06/23 137 18/30 I messed up..,chocolate got to me. Starting Monday I will be meal prepping and eating better. I am ready for a restart
06/24 136.4 I messed up another day...but the good news is I got all my meal prep done for the rest of the week. I am all set to go. 18/30
06/25 137.6 a gain as expected. 19/30 accomplished
06/26136.8 I wanted to be down to 130 by the end of June but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. Although normally I would be upset by this, i know I have been working hard and I am not going to get down on myself. It will come, i will just have to continue practicing patience. It's not the end of the day but because all my meals are preplanned for me and having an active job, i know I will stick the course today. So 20/30 accomplished

Day/Weight/Comment
06/22 145.0 ate very late last night so not surprised with the slight uptick. Meals planned for today so should be a good day food wise
06/23 145.5 didn’t drink enough water yesterday and had takeout Indian food so will be upping my water intake today
06/24 144.8 back down a bit, and happy didn’t gain much over the weekend. Friday’s are usually my lightest weight day so not surprised that haven’t seen round 80s end weight yet, but hope to be back there by mid week.
06/25 144.5 pretty typical Tuesday and finally slept 7 hours straight during the night (been waking up at 3am-4am the last week for an hourish).
06/26 144.2 ate very well yesterday and worked out so was hoping for more of a loss, but this is pretty consistent with some of the weeks after a larger loss that I lose at a slower pace. I am back to where I was at the end of round 80.

If all goes well I should see my goal of 60 pounds lost since starting my journey and get close or into the high 310’s.
06/22 322.8 I took it easier yesterday due to the 110 heat here so this is a loss of the water weight I had put on yesterday.
06/23 322.2 So close... My steps remain good, a little over 7k yesterday if the midday heat hadn’t been so bad I would have hit 8k. Today the rain and a bit of muscle tenderness is going to keep my steps lower. I’d rather nurse it for a day than pull it and be down a week, which is what happened last time I didn’t listen to my body.
06/24 321.4 Yay! That makes a little over 60 pounds lost since I started this journey. Hopefully I’ll see the end of the 320’s soon, they have been a little rough for me. I didn’t rest enough yesterday so today will be a full rest day to deal with a still sore calf muscle.
06/25 321.0 I’m so happy to see another loss. I think I have figured out some of what has been causing the bouncing and have adjusted my food plan. Judging by the lack of bounce since the shift I might have this figured out now.
06/26 321.8 Inflammation and hormones are the reason for this bounce. I’m also very hungry this morning. I’ve had the same thing happen at the same point in my cycle since I started this journey and usually I end up binging around dinner time. I’m going to try to make a plan and hopefully stay on track.

I stopped tracking during most of the last round. There ended up being a lot of unanticipated social events, my TOM arrived, and I also spent a lot of time simply relaxing for the first few days of summer vacation.
I'd like to workout each day and not neglect my water intake. My past rounds show when I'm diligent and focused I can expect results. I expect to be one pound lighter by the end of the challenge.

06/22 DNW Took my dad out to a few breweries for his Father's Day present. We had a great time!
06/23 DNW Tidied the house, walked downtown, took the dog for a walk around the neighborhood, and planned exercise and meals for the week.
06/24 DNW I got an oil change, grocery shopped, cleaned my living room, mowed the front yard, and did an exercise DVD today. I made sure to drink my water and I cooked all of my meals. Busy and productive!
06/25 DNW I'll weigh-in again tomorrow morning. I wanted to give my body some time to recover from my poor food and exercise choices last week and I wasn't ready to face the number on the scale. I purchased a 10 lb kettle bell today and have done a 15 minute workout. It's fun and different at the moment and I'm excited to add it to my workout rotation. I also got an air fryer and I made some delicious salmon in it for lunch. It's a little small, but I hardly ever have to cook for more than the two of us. I'm planning on making air fried chicken thighs for dinner. I've had a can of seltzer with lunch, I have a full 15 oz water bottle to get through, and then I'll be drinking water with dinner. No beer for me until I get at least 45 oz of water!
06/26 181.8 lb The air fryer was a such a fun purchase! I made salmon and chicken yesterday and will make breaded pork cutlets tomorrow. I love how it cooks the food without heating up the house. The kettlebell was also really effective. My muscles are pleasantly sore in my legs, core, and arms. 😀 I'm planning on cleaning my basement, installing a dartboard, and giving my dog a long walk today and I'll be going to trivia tonight with my family.

6/22 169.9 I weighed and tracked all weekend but didn't update in here.
6/23 169.9
6/24 169.5
6/25 168.4 I took off Monday and today too, a mental health break. My BF had to go to Spain on Saturday, his brother had a stroke Friday night. While he's there he's going to do a check-up at the Cancer Center. He knew he had to go for a week this summer, and with his brother's stroke, it just made sense to do it now. Last year at this time he was there getting treatment. His illness prompted me to lose weight again. We've had a rough couple of years but things are looking good. Luckily he kept his Spanish citizenship so he gets free healthcare there.
6/26 166.4 This isn't a whooosh it's an "I was sick and didn't eat much yesterday". Isn't it ironic that I took off for mental health and woke up sick? I did get a 3-mile walk in, though maybe I shouldn't have walked at all. I ran a fever last night and one this morning, I'm taking meds and only in the office to print out stuff for tomorrow's meeting. I'm the featured presenter so hopefully, my nose and sinuses will calm down before tomorrow at 3:30. I wish this number 166 was real. I'm sure it will be 168

Phooey! But ok, I did over-indulge on Saturday - emotional/frustration eating. Major problems with the so-called landscaper we hired to dig out new beds -- aside from never showing up when he promises and then working an hour or less per day, he dumped a load of clay fill into our beds instead of garden soil. Aaaggghhh! I'm so frustrated - I have perennials & annuals sitting in pots as I expected to have them in the ground 2 weeks ago. So I ate chocolate and other junk to comfort myself, which of course it did not. What did help was when I decided take back control, so I bought myself a small electric tiller and some cheap planters to hold the plants until the beds are actually ready, and I planted the annuals in my existing front-yard beds. They'll be crowded, but that's ok, they're in the ground and can be moved later. I HATE depending on unreliable people, and this guy takes the cake. Anyway, I know part of this bump up is water because I had way too much sodium, and I'm taking back control of my emotions and food as well as my garden. So there! (Sorry for the off-topic rant, but really it's not since most of us are familiar with eating in the face of frustration, and the post-bad-eating recriminations.)
6/25 - 160.4
I behaved myself yesterday and have my eating plan in place for today. All good. I moved my bigger perennials into bigger pots and put all the annuals intended for new beds into my existing beds so they're not in the tiny pots. I may start tilling a new space today. Not a peep from the so-called landscaper. Grrrr.
6/26 - 159
I won't hold my breath, but supposedly the "landscaper" will be here today to take back the clay he dumped in my flower beds, and then we're done and I can do the rest myself. I have all sorts of yard projects planned for after I get my plants in the ground, so yay summer! I also have an one-person art show opening Sunday, so I have to get my paintings organized today to hang tomorrow. And Friday a friend is dividing some perennials to give me more to plant. And Greek Fest runs tomorrow through Sunday -- always a wonderful event with GREAT food, mostly not too off-diet (except baklava). So I'm off for a nice walk now, then the paintings, then....Busy week! Have a lovely!

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40.

This round ends on a Monday, which is usually my highest day of the week. So hopefully I can finally have a nice loss this round to help me out.
OSW: 178 in July of 2018
Rnd 79 EW: 148.7 (10 day avg: 148.38)
Rnd 80 EW: 148.0 (10 day avg: 147.22)
Goals for next 10 days:
1) to get between 7,500 and 10,000 steps everyday (extremely hard to do sitting at a desk for 8-9 hours a day)
2) do not want to see anything higher than 148.9 on the scale in this round
3) finally see a new low of 145.xxx (lowest weight so far was last round and it was 146.1)
06/22 - 146.0 really? Now my scale is just screwing with me, lol. Did a 36 hour fast yesterday to get back down and on track. Seemed it has worked well and I am back down to my lowest weight so far. 8 days left of the month and really hoping to make my goal. Come on 1/10 of a pound is all I need!
06/23 - 149.0 went to a salad place for lunch and had some drinks with dinner. Should not be this high. Maybe sodium
06/24 - 149.0 this is just annoying. Ate really low calorie yesterday, but did go out for breakfast. I just don't think my body agrees with restaurant food.
06/25 - 150.8 had an amazing 3 day weekend. Went golfing all day yesterday with my 2 older boys and my husband, but I did come home with a nice little sunburn. I am assuming this is the reason for another bounce up. Ate well under calories, but also lunch was out again at another restaurant on the golf course. Going to drink tons of water today and apply aloe and see what the next couple of days brings me.
06/26 - 149.0 I was hoping for something lower. Still hurting from my burn, but hopefully within the next couple of days will be gone. My weight has been so weird this round. I saw 148.3 on the scale and then bounced back up to 149.0. So I know this is just all water weight and will have to wait for it to leave. My trend weight is super high now to, so will just have to keep working on it I guess.

Day/Weight/Comment
06/22- 202.6 - Didn't get to weigh in so going with Friday's weight.
06/23- 202.4 - I'm shocked! Was at my boyfriends, had sushi for dinner (super light on rice) the night before and when I got home this morning I saw I had gone down! It could be because I spent most of Saturday helping him clean and organize his room and even though we had a big breakfast we skipped lunch and went straight to dinner and had ice cream.
06/24- 202.4 - I'm so happy this didn't go up. I wasn't feeling good at all yesterday. Had a memorial for my cousin's dad and something I ate had just really messed with my stomach. Boyfriend and I ended up at chilis for dinner. I didn't have much and will be having my leftovers today, but I went hard on those endless chips and salsa. I hope the number keeps going down after today
06/25- 203.3 - I ate so badly yesterday, so this isn't a surprise. Think I got in my head about how good I was doing and should have been more strict on myself. Had way too much chips! Trying to go for a walk today or the gym.
06/26- 203 - I felt so sick yesterday after work. I felt nauseated and knocked out as soon as I got home. Woke up around 8:30pm and felt hungry, but still sick. It's funny I weighed myself last night and I was around 202.6 and this morning I went up from that. I made a poor choice of having Wendys, but it was the only open and quick option. I did also order a half salad from there to have for lunch today along with some apples and light snacks. I'm trying to just find a good balance with everything. I know I need to walk and work out more and I really want to, but trying to shake what's been wrong with me these past few days.

I’ve felt blue for several days and my energy was zero. A return to the treadmill makes me realize (all over again) how physical exercise makes me feel better, more optimistic and more energetic.
6/26…178 Really had a hard time getting into the groove at the gym today, though I pushed through to 60 minutes. One of my knees felt funky after I finished; I’ll keep an eye on that. Traveling in a couple days to see my folks at their retirement living high rise. It’ll be harder to track and exercise, but I’ll do what I can.

Joining in for at least part of round 81!
Female, 57 yy, 4'11''
OSW 177.1 lbs
LTG: 110.0 lbs
STG: 139.8 lbs (just like the idea of being below 140, but not as close as 139.9 but will take that too just to get below 140 :-)
MTG: 123.4 lbs Leave Overweight category and get into Healthy BMI range
Goal for 10 day Challenge - lose 2 pounds (138.9)
Day/Weight/Comment
06/22: 140.9Up 0.3 pounds from yesterday; but not unexpected as weight dropped 2.2 pounds from the day before (serious whoosh, so usually see a bump up until it settles over a couple of days). Had 1 hour step class this morning and really pushed it - burned 388 calories in the hour (ok that is a lot for me!) and had heart rate in peak zone for 54% of the class! Some weights and other functional training then back home. Lazy afternoon with some weeding in the garden until the ants and mosquitoes drove me in! Big dinner - grilled swordfish with olive tapenade/tomato sauce, saffron rice & black beans and fresh greens from farmers market, although within calorie budget. Still feel like I am retaining water (extra exercise?) so curious what weight will be tomorrow. I do need to figure a better way to distribute calories more through out the day, but dinner is my favorite meal of the day and so far do not have time to cook dinner foods for breakfast or have gotten leftover portions quite right.
06/23: 140.3] Yeah!!! dropped down below round 80 ending weight! Today is my official "rest day", but may still try to get in 30-45 minutes of walking or light elliptical for some cardio and probably some stretching or yoga as legs feel tight after yesterdays workout. Slept in today so probably going to have just two main meals (brunch/dinner) and snacks. Dinner tonight is grilled bigeye tuna with fresh mango salsa!
06/24: 139.7 Wow rest days rock!!! Made my short term goal to get below 140 !!! Not sure if I will make round goal of losing 2 pounds as will not be able to weigh in after Thursday but at least a great start! Did step class this morning, but could not stay for spin or weights, so went back in for spin class in evening. No weights today due to crazy schedule so will start tomorrow. Cavatappi with duck bolognese and smoked mozzarella for dinner - satisfied my love for pasta, but still within calorie limit! Hope the higher carbs do not create a bump! Apple Watch is suggesting that my resting metabolic rate is dropping (as expected due to weight loss) so either need to 1) up exercise; 2) decrease calories consumed; or 3) adjust to idea of slower weight loss going forward (so far I have been doing more of (1). Currently calories consumed are close to what I would eat at goal weight for maintenance with modest activity, so really think best options are 1 or 3. (next week it is going to have to be 3 :-) due to travel!
06/25: 140.2 Well not completely unexpected as typically see a big drop and then a bump up. Overall downward trend shows that I am still on track. I don;t expect a drop tomorrow as today was heavy leg weights (usually see a bump up after that) Exercise was good today (latin dance, weights (legs) and yoga, so expect this will even out in a day or two! Tomorrow is BodPod day. Gymaholic thinks my body fat is around 36% based on neck, waist and hip measurements (with height) so interested in what results will be! (hoping that with the weight training it is lower!!!)
06/26: 139.8 Yeah!!! Back to short term goal of being below 140!!! BodPod analysis came back 40% body fat at current weight (still have 30 pounds to lose) but the goal is to keep up the weight training with cardio so that body fat percentage is lower (predicted to be 25% at goal weight of 110, but would be 30% with just cardio! The staff person doing the test did indicate that my body fat and BMI were tracking together, so that basing weight goals on BMI would be useful for indicating healthy weight based on % fat. This also provided an estimate of resting metabolic rate of 1100 calories and average non-exercise rate of 1350; currently I am targeting 1400 calories a day so if that is accurate, all of the deficit for weight loss is coming from exercise. May repeat the BodyGem BMR test (should be more accurate) to see if BMR really has changed that much now that I am just below the midpoint of journey. Exercise planned for today: upper body weights and spin class.

6/22: 187.4 (Forgot to post yesterday but I maintained at the same low weight and went out the night before for wings and fries. Not sure how I maintained without a workout either. That’s a plus!)
6/23: 189.4 (wow I definitely feel sore this morning from yesterday. I did a 5K training workout but most likely it’s from hosting a party and being on my feet all day and some dancing too. I made a whole BBQ feast but had very little of everything. I’m sure it’ll all go down once my soreness clears.)
6/24: 190.4 (Not what I wanted to see but it is what it is. I did a Zumba class yesterday and made grilled chicken kabobs, rice and asparagus for dinner.)
6/25: 190.0 (A step in the right direction! I did not do a workout and make some potato corn chowder for dinner last night.)
6/26: 189.6 (Weekend weight gain is slowly coming off. I'm hoping for a whoosh soon from how good I've been the last few days at sticking to my goals. I added some more running to my 5K training. I'm now running 15 out of 30 minutes. I have to say my legs are on fire now! I made some quesadillas and chips with salsa since I was too lazy to cook.)

06/22: 136 -- Yesterday was a high carb day. Friends spent the night, so we had egg casserole and coffee cake for breakfast. Took a long walk before dinner ... and then indulged in tator tots and corn bread side with flank steak. Was super hungry at dinner, but stayed just below calories and since I wasn't hungry later when we made dessert, I skipped that!
06/23: 135 -- Another high carb day. My middle son got back Friday night and is flying out again today, so had egg casserole & coffee cake for breakfast. And then we had this awesome cranberry/walnut bread for dinner and I indulged in 2 pieces, plus fresh corn on the cob and watermelon from the farmer's market. Skipped dessert and did a long session on the elliptical, so squeaked in under calories. NSV -- I've been working on pushups since March -- starting with wall pushups and moving to lower surfaces. On Friday I did two unmodified full pushups!! Over the next 8 weeks I'll continue with pushup sets 3 times a week to see how many I can build up to!
06/24: 134.5 -- Interesting, as Friday and Saturday were both high carb days with low deficits. Took a long hilly walk yesterday and ended lower carb and larger deficit. I'm curious as to what happens tomorrow!
06/25: 133.5 -- Very nice! Zumba and strength class yesterday. Did my best to burn as many calories as possible in zumba....only got it up to 400. Don't know if I am getting wimpier, or just in better shape! Ran 5 miles today and ate a light lunch. Going out to dinner with my husband and a group at work tonight, should have enough of a buffer to make wise choices and not worry too much! Might be up tomorrow, but it was nice to see this NEW low!
06/26: 134.5 Out to Italian last night. There were only two dinner options that were not pizza or pasta, went for the hanger steak with arugula salad with shaved parmesan. Had one piece of bread, heirloom tomato salad to start and split tiramisu with my husband. The bite I had of my husband's pasta was delicious, but so was the steak and I'm glad for the choice I made. I also about 8 oz of red wine. I think the wine is what caused the blip. It appeared to be the kind of red wine that gives me a headache and makes me feel nasty. Walked and did zumba today. We will see what tomorrow brings!

Grrrr.

@nikki062181 This 38-year-old just finished up round 80 with a 4.2lb loss. Yay!!!! I met my goal but barely the last 10 days. Here is to meeting it again in this 10 days. I was 17lbs from my goal weight and have since gained 17 additional pounds. I'd like to at least lose those 17 lbs before I have to start teaching again. I've had it hard the last year. My MIL, who I consider my Mom, passed away from a long battle with lung cancer. My Grandpa passed away 8 months later. I graduated from college while being married and having 3 kiddos, and completed my first year in the classroom last year. I also found out that my middle child is battling multiple mental illnesses, which were triggered by the loss of his Grandma. I had to take a step away from my weight loss journey. My family needed me, but I need to be healthy too. So, here I am...going for it again.
GOALS FOR THE WEEK!
First step: Continue to track calories
Second step: Continue to measure my portions
Third step: Continue to cut out carbonated beverages
Fourth step: Continue to cut out too many sweets
5th step: Push water!!!!
6th step: Take my B12 supplement daily at lunch because I have a deficiency
7th step: Walk 15 minutes a day at minimum and do arm exercises starting on Monday for this goal.
OSW: 232 lbs
CSW: 154.8 lbs
CGW: 150 - 151
UGW: 125 lbs
Here is to wishing we can all achieve our goal! 🙏
6/22: 154.8 I ate a very healthy, high protein lunch yesterday, so I could have pancakes, hashbrowns, and a flurry for my birthday treat. I am so glad I did because I did not want to wake up and regret my weight gain this morning. I had almost forgotten to take my B12 also, so I ended up taking that one late. I'm very inconsistent with the time I weigh myself too. When I head back into work in August, times will finally be consistent. Until then, I want to enjoy when I get up...whenever that is.
6/23: 154.2 My son begged me not to make anything healthy because his gf came over last night, and he didn't want to be embarrassed. My husband asked me to eat whatever I wanted when I ordered carryout from this pizza joint. I knew I had treated myself already because of my birthday on Friday. So, I had a salad with extra protein and some breadsticks. It paid off. 😁
6/24: 153.8 I have really been enjoying these smoothies for breakfast. They're quite yummy. Since I have life threatening food allergies, I have to be creative when making some things. So, I cannot use a lot of fruit or fillers like most are able to. However, the ones I've been having are quite refreshing.
6/25: 152.6 A NEW LOW for many months! I did not do well on the water intake. I did complete my first day of exercise on the 30 day challenge. I changed it from arm to full body. Since it finally did not rain either, I went biking for a half hour too.
6/26: 152.4 I struggled yesterday. I was not feeling well at all. I didn't eat or drink well. I did complete my full body workout though. I remember why I cannot stand squats.5 -
Round 81 - first ever round!!! Thanks for creating this challenge :-)
