Get it!3 -
Starting to fit into Target smalls. Actually ended up not getting anything because the cute clearance swimsuits were actually too big. Unlike other clothing, I can't wear a swimsuit loose.9

I can't believe the small amount of food I need to be completely satisfied. It's a real eye opener. For the first time in my life, I know when to stop eating. This is nothing short of a miracle. ☺33

Heard that. Several times in the last two months I have just stopped and pushed the plate away when eating in a restaurant. It feels good.

Today I tucked my shirt into my shorts, instead of trying to pull it down to “camouflage” my middle. Even better, I tucked my shirt in to help my shorts stay up better because they are loose. I have spent most of my adult life uncomfortable with my weight and my appearance, so it was a big deal for me20

But there's no going back from that adjustment, I shall just have to keep sweating it out until I can cope with it!
2) Have been to the gym on eight of the last nine mornings (a record for me!)
3) Completed my 80th parkrun on Saturday.
I remember a few years ago when I was tracking here to teach myself how to eat enough. I came on this thread regularly. I took a break while growing our third tiny human & I’m back now. I can’t believe you’ve run your 80th park run!! I remember how excited/nervous you were to run the first, how you were training with C25K and how your family was out joining you, it was so inspiring then and so is this new accomplishment now!10 -
This is a little shallow, but 3 months back, my sisters (very attractive) friend, said I looked good. That felt good.
Slightly more recently, the new jeans I bought, cause my old ones no longer fit, are starting to become too lose to wear again.14 -

(eight-angle pose) in yoga...no easy feat.
Awesome accomplishment, @maureenseel1984!
Wow what a milestone I'd kill to be able to do that. Really inspiring
Practice...and accepting that failing and falling is all part of the journey. It was a milestone for me too. This pose is so much harder than Parsva Bakasana/side crow pose. Something about the fear of lifting that bottom leg off the ground is really hard. I get into it from a bound chair pose.maureenseel1984 wrote: »I got my handstand and actually had a little hang-time...it's taken forever for me to not be terrified of only being on my hands.
Might I ask, how did you incorporate practice and strength building for these poses? I love being strong, I’ve also decided I want to work towards the strength needed (mental & physical) to accomplish things like this! Is there a program you followed? Or did you just continue progressing in certain poses to build up to this? I don’t exactly know which question or type of question to ask since my framework for building strength is centered around a lifting program or fitnessblender.com workouts I know handstands require consistent practice, but I’m unsure where to start. Thank you!4 -
My joints don't hurt like they used to. ☺14

It's strange but until I read your post I hadn't thought about my knees not hurting. They don't hurt or keep me from sleeping. I guess that 70 extra pounds they used to carry was the problem. Looking forward to how I will feel after more weight loss.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention.8 -

I so needed this today, thank you!
Had a difficult day yesterday as we completed on the purchase of our new home (as in, it's ours, we have the keys!), which we'd been so excited about, only to find that the seller has left the house in the most disgusting state possible. I would be ashamed to call myself human had I left a house in that state. We were going to decorate before we moved in but I wasn't expecting to be clearing out his rubbish and cleaning up after him.
And he's told bare-face lies to his solicitor about it. He signed a form (legally binding) to state that he would clear the house and leave it clean and tidy. He obviously forgot about that as he told his solicitor that he had left it cleared, clean and tidy. It's just such a shame that I have a camera and emailed the photos to my solicitor who is dealing with the issue.
Well, on the plus side, all of that cleaning, decorating and gardening is going to burn some calories13 -
I have been retaining water for a week, the scale has been up 5 lbs. I kept eating on plan, and exercising even though the scale wasn't moving an ounce. I started to get defeated yesterday, but got dressed to walk anyways. As I was walking I kept thinking my tank top felt weird. When I got home and looked in the mirror, it looked so big on me. I investigated further, and it used to not even go past the top of my butt, and now it hangs to the bottom of my butt cheeks. It used to be snug in my belly and now there is gap between my belly and the tank top. I almost cried. This morning, 3 of the 5 lbs are gone, and hopefully the rest follows soon25

Despite being the heaviest weight I've been my entire adult life, my body image has never been better.
I used to frequently check my body throughout the day (ex: lifting my shirt in the bathroom to analyze every bit o fat on my tummy and hips)...but now I look at my body in the mirror to admire it and appreciate it and what it does for me.
Today was a day I looked in the mirror and was like "Dang-you know your body ain't half bad to look at!"18 -

Sorry for the delayed response!
Almost all of my strength training has been yoga. And in yoga what is neat is that almost every pose you are building strength. I started out with headstands...easiest way is to have your hands a little in front of your head almost like training wheels. You might start with your knees bent and your back to a wall in case you fall back...then gradually I used my forearms and cup your head and then glide into a headstand (wide legs seems easier for me...
I didn't use a particular program...just...try to practice as often as I can. There are lots of helpful YouTube videos to work toward a headstand but it's taken a long time for me to work my way there. I'd say start with headstands and work your way up. Strong shoulders and strong core are vital for both.

This may sound kinda "trite" but my NSV is that I'M ALIVE AND KICKING! I'm healthier than I've ever been before, in my right mind and learning new stuff everyday and so GLAD to be alive and well. Trouble, problems, issues and YUCK tries daily to dog my steps, but I'm fighting the good fight of faith and looking good doing it--BOOM and YAY!16

You’re welcome! Ugh. Buying a house is a ton of work already! I’m so sorry your new place was left like this!!5 -

Oh, no worries! I sometimes don’t come back and check this for a few days anyway Thank you!! I had wondered if YouTube videos would be helpful. I’ve been following along with the videos Yoga with Adrian puts up monthly and I’m loving it! I can tell my posture is better day to day instead of just when I keep proper form for lifts. My first goal is to have a strong core, I’m only 13m pp from baby number 3 so I have a ways to go but I’m excited to have this goal to work on! Good to know that with time and consistency I can reach these goals too! After a month of consistent practice I can already hold certain poses for much longer than when I started.5
