@martaindale - I did not know that about redheads. Guess it explains why I feel so hot at 75 and so cold at 72 😂
I also have a ton of red (probably all gray now if I let it be) curly hair that I have finally come to terms with and just let it be curly. My daughter was a massive amount of hair that grows so fast. She shaved her head once to donate for cancer patients and it was down almost to her waist at the time. It grew back so fast though.

We are in Healdsburg, CA this week and I ran this morning to check out the area. I really wanted to see if I could get to the Russian River. It was a lovely cool (56F when I left the hotel) sunny morning and off Hobbes and I went with a general idea of where to go. I had found some race courses through the area that were put on by a local run club so kind of pieced together a route. I did find the river, a lovely park with a beach and swimming area in the river then ran through downtown, stopped by the local run store and found the Rail Trail that took me right back to the hotel. Below are some pictures from the sights along the way. I am hoping to get a similar run in on Wednesday and probably Friday before we leave and then run my longer planned run at home on Sunday instead of Saturday. After the run DH and I took Hobbes back downtown to walk around, shop a little (got a Healdsburg RC hat) and have lunch at a local brewery (burger and a local brewed beer - yum!).

Mine is currently very unruly and I can’t decide to let it grow out or cut it.

    What do y’all think? Haha!

Another treadmill warm-up this morning, although I really should have run outside because the weather was so nice at that early hour. I just don't like running the roads by the gym, there is too much traffic and the shoulders are not wide enough (and no sidewalks). I felt sore getting started after the last few days of activity but loosened up a bit during the run.

Circuit training was a lot of core and legs today, with some pull-ups thrown in. That's enough legs for this week, for sure, as I have the Boilermaker 15k on Sunday. I'll be taking it easy for the next few days. The forecast for Sunday is looking quite a bit better heat-wise so I'm keeping my fingers crossed not to have another oppressively hot race day. But you know, it's July, and it's called the Boilermaker, so it would not be too surprising.
