The gain would be my dinner and beer from last night.
Today I was reluctant to get up and do my exercises, but knowing I will post in a fresh round made me do it However, then I skipped boxing after work in favour for an eve on the sofa with DH (but without LNSβοΈ)
Now I have terrible ovulation pain, my whole side is on fire - time for bed.

No exercise in the morning, something is happening with my body. Hopefuly it's just cycle related and gone by tomorrow, along with a bit of weight.
Another busy day at work, didn't eat my breakfast. Also found out i'm going on a work trip on Sun eve, which will mess with my logging and workouts.

Yay, I got up for my run today!
I did need the calories as we had a "wine down" at work and then dinner with a colleague and our partners, followed by ice cream.
Dinner was a complete estimate at 1000cals plus a generously estimated amount of wine but all that was within my limit for the day. Now I'm very full and bloated and know will have a hard time getting up tomorrow morning. But I'll try.

Yesterday didn't go that well, work stress got to me and I stopped logging. But back at it today, even though it will be estimated as we're going to a BBQ and then drinks tonight.

Can't weigh this morning, but got up to do exercises and short yoga!
All day will be catered food. I have a cereal bar for breakfast if I can't last til the first coffee break.
Tue 7/9 no scale // work trip πΆββοΈ13kπ·
13hrs fast. 10.30-22.00 11hrs eat
Didn't eat the cereal bar, but a mini croissant at the meeting. During the day all was fine, dinner was delicious steak with butter sauce and dessert and then some swiss chocolate, so definitely went over. That's the problem, there is always something that I must try...
Day was alright but then i had some dinner and snacks at home.
Wed 7/10 72.8kg (+0.4) πΆββοΈ5k oopsπ·π

Not surprised, today I'm too tired to exercise.
Worked after I got home and then packed and cleaned and had a silly snack very late, hence the long eating window. Without that it would have been 10hours. Ah well, tomorrow is going to be interesting, working from home until we leave for London. We're driving, so it will be a long trip and late arrival and probably poor food choices.
I plan to run in the morning, but I'm in bed late and not sure I'll have the energy.
Thu 7/11 off to London by car

Hi. My name is Trina. I've been back on MFP for a year now, am down 65 pounds and just 4 pounds from my revised goal weight! A year ago, this seemed like a pipe dream. I've been doing this challenge since Round 54 and it has been a blessing in helping to keep me focused and positive through the daily ups and downs of this journey to better health! Thanks to all for the wonderful support!

07/02 133 New low. This is actually the usual pattern. Down a little down a little more, than spike up before coming down...and then to a new low. It works...but it's a crazy ride! Strenghth class and zumba yesterday. Ate clean and healthy.
07/03 132 A new low! Definitely this one goes back 27 years. Not sure I've seen this number since I've been married! Stuck to low carb yesterday. Only a half of a real brownie my son made and then I made myself a pretty dang marginal brownie in a mug...which satisfied my craving to make a brownie in a mug, anyway and was at least filling. (P.S. I'm silently and in slow motion jumping up and down for joy....don't want the scale to hear me and backtrack!)
07/04 133 --Oooh. Definitely happy to still be seeing these numbers! 90 minute zumba party with 350 people this morning at the YMCA
07/05 133.5 -- Not bad after July 4th. Had a glass of wine and half of a piece of cheesecake, dinner was chicken and salad -- but the salad had lots of candied nuts and dried cherries). Ended dinner really full! Drank lots of water.
07/06 134.5 Yesterday was a good day. Strength class, step class, did some extra squats/step ups/planks and ate fine. Hopefully this is the uptick before the whoosh? Or just the scale in a bad mood! (I stepped on the scale after zeroing it this morning and must have shifted funny--because the first weight it gave me was 000.0. Yeah, right! Must have triggered the zeroing function when I stepped up!
07/07 133.5 Stuck to the plan!
07/08 134 Yesterday walked and did some body weight exercises. Today just walked and pushups--children and dr's apptmt interfered with zumba and strength classes!
07/09 133 There we go. That's what I was waiting for. 5 mile walk today with a friend. Now I need to do some cleaning.
07/10 132.5 Hopefully heading down to stay!

3) Good hydration
Day/Weight/Comment
07/02 192.8 β 4th day at this weight. Time to focus and start moving down again! Walked for an hour this morning and got some gardening done despite the heat. Good food choices and good hydration today. I feel like Iβm off to a good start π
07/03 192.2 β Nice to see a drop going into the long weekend. It was already steamy at 6 AM, so did some chores in the house instead of walking and spent the afternoon in the pool with the kids. My older grandson helped make dinner β lemon pepper salmon, one of his favorite dishes. Came in under my calorie limit even with a glass of wine and a scoop of gelato. Need to get in a little more water this evening to compensate for the alcohol.
07/04 190.8 β Happy 4th! Cooked up a big pot of ratatouille this morning and readied the yard for guests. Lots of fruits and veggies on the menu (along with the high-salt and high calorie offerings), so hopefully todayβs BBQ wonβt set me back too far.
07/05 191.8 β Not surprised to see a bounce today. Yesterday was busy β no time to walk, but hosting kept me moving a good part of the day. It also kept me from snacking. Overdid it a bit at dinner, but I still managed a small calorie deficit and good hydration. Iβve got some clean-up to do this morning, and then maybe Iβll hit some of the holiday sales to look for a new swimsuit to replace a couple that are embarrassingly stretched out.
07/06 191.8 β On the upside, I stayed under my calorie limit and had plenty of water Swimsuit shopping was a non-starter after I discovered water pooling in the cabinet under my kitchen sink That was after I dropped and broke the bowl to my salad spinner and before the thunderstorm forecast nixed my planned walk Made a lovely dinner with extra for todayβs lunch but woke up this morning to discover Iβd left the main part out on the counter Dragging a bit, but hoping to make this a better day
07/07 192.4 β Lazy day yesterday. Family party today. The heat and humidity finally dropped and I was able to get out and walk for 90 min this evening.
07/08 191.0 β Thatβs looking better. Up extra early for the first day of summer classes. Tempted to take a nap when I got home, but rallied for a bookstore trip with my grandsons. The rainy morning had turned into a delightfully sunny and mild afternoon, so we all sat outside and read for a while. Light dinner and a brisk evening walk to round out the day. Met my goals for calories, exercise and hydration.
07/09 191.0 β Gorgeous day! Did some gardening after class before the grandkids came over to swim. After dinner and ice cream, we went for a firefly walk in the park. The boys were energized by the cool evening and the novelty of the park at sunset. The fireflies were lovely, but I think they most enjoyed seeing the bats fly overhead! Goals met again, so Iβm feeling good going into the home stretch.
07/10 190.2 β Happy to see that weekend bump gone! Lunch out and Farmersβ Market this afternoon. Couldnβt resist the apple cider donut, but no guilt because it fit within my calories. Oppressive heat and an air quality alert, so no walk tonight. Staying hydrated, but I think the heat and humidity are depressing my appetite. Thunderstorms predicted for tomorrow. Hopefully theyβll bring some relief!

07/02: DNW Out of Town
07/03: DNW Flew back from the UK today, so long day with lots of sitting and eating. Couldn't wait to have a big salad at dinner and get some exercise in on the elliptical! Will weigh tomorrow, but expect weight will be up as usually retain water/feel bloated after long flights, not to mention being out of town and eating out for the last 6 days. Hope weight is not too far off from where I left off at end of last round (138.8). Will be going out of town with family after the 4th for the weekend so will start back at the gym consistently next Monday.
07/04: 139.4 Yep weight up from where it was at the end of last round, but only 0.7 pounds, so I'll take that as a success given all the eating out/drinking and long travel day. Rained out of going to the pool (although I rarely swim laps) so did find time to get in an elliptical workout and free weights and had a pretty good workout at home! Will see what tomorrow brings.
07/05: 138.2 Woohoo! Whoosh to get rid of fluid build up after travel! Below ending weight from last round!
Up early today so got in a cardio workout on elliptical at home, then time to pack up with family for long weekend sailing. Won't have much in the way of cardio, but will try to keep active! Only one dinner out (which will likely involve pasta) so will enjoy 'cause there is always Monday to hit the gym!
07/06 DNW
07/07 DNW Back in town, will weigh in tomorrow am.
07/08 136.6 Woohoo! big drop over the holiday weekend is nice and trends indicate that I am back on target after overseas trip. Not to mention that this is below my goal weight for this round!!! Really tried to stay semi-active over the weekend: sailing, some running intervals with the dog, playing sharks and minnows with the kids and tried to watch food calories; having only one meal out helped a lot as I prepared the rest. Great 45 minutes on elliptical to Apple Music 90's workout mix (best workout so far for staying in the peak zone!) when we got back home last night, and then spin class for 45 minutes and strength training lower body this am to get back in the groove at the gym. Hope this "whoosh" stays with me for the rest of the round but won't be surprised if there is a gain tomorrow after the heavy leg workout today which often results in water retention.
07/09 136.7 As expected a gain, although 0.1 pounds is in the noise - so happy to see that the bump was not any bigger! This am did full hour+ of upper body strength training - usual machines plus added in bench press, overhead/military press, and up-right row with barbell on the smith machine (no real barbells at gym). Back to the gym this evening for 30 minutes of cardio on the spin bike and then 45 minute pilates class for core and more stretching. Feeling more DOMS in legs so may have water retention tomorrow (hope weight is stable for end of round as still below goal!). Food should be fine for the day - lunch calories are approximate for sashimi, greens, seaweed salad, and other vegetables as guesstimating portions, but dinner was homemade turkey burgers with mint, basil, ginger, and kaffir lime leaves (minced young leaves) with a big salad. Just need to hide the left over tortilla chips from the trip this weekend so that I am not tempted to have a late night snack - saving the extra calories instead for a glass of red wine and will relax!
07/10 137.0 Not too surprising based on how legs felt yesterday; also sore back after pilates. Seems to be a typical pattern as well of a big drop followed by some small increases and then another drop. Felt much better this morning and did 60 minutes of spin bike (class + 20 min extra), leg strength training and then walked 1.5 miles. Meals today were higher in protein than yesterday, and much lower carb, so will see if that helps with water retention. Calories as measured/guestimated should be within target relative to exercise to lead to an eventual drop! Even though there was a bump today, the highlight was looking at my reminder from 5 weeks ago that MFP predicted my weight today would be 141, and it is actually much lower! Even if the model MFP uses to predict is not accurate (I don't include my exercise calories) still feels like a win!

07/02 67.7kg. Glad I checked yesterday 3 times. Saturday night has caught up with me. I'll work on getting it back down.
07/03 67.7kg and I feel like my control is slipping. I need to focus on the last 10kg. Ran this morning despite the cold getting worse.
07/04 67.1kg with a nasty cold. Fighting it with Tom yam soup but feeling rubbish!
07/05 68.0kg from nowhere! Hoping it's just the cold causing the gain as food has been good. Too rough to run today, I'm going to take it easy
07/06 67.3kg cold a bit better today so time to refocus on the weight loss.
07/07 67.4kg my first weekly gain since January. Only 0.4kg but now the cold is mostly gone I need to eat at calorie deficit. Starting today.
07/08 66.4kg. Yes! Public holiday today so no work. I'm going to try to finish sewing my prototype for a small bag for 04 as out.
07/09 66.2kg back here finally! Didn't get the sewing done yesterday as I went to a friend's 60th. I have never seen so many different types of flatbread in one house but I stayed strong and just nibbled on some cheese and raw veg and egg dip keeping it Keto.
07/10 66.3kg. I should have been much more excited yesterday as that was low but I somehow didn't realise until I checked back. Hoping to get back there for the end of the round.
07/11 66.5 kg not much of a loss this round but even 0.2kg is better than nothing!

7/1 135.8 Canada day and family barbecue. It was a definite binge day and as much as I hate to start the month off on a bad note, it's also a good time for a restart (as always) 0/31
7/2 138.8 sounds about right, today was definitley better than this weekend has been. 1/31
7/3 138.8 weird, i had a good day and that usually means a drop, at the same time I know shark week will start in a couple of days, which explains last week hunger episodes. 2/31 accomplished
7/4 didn't weigh in. Woke up with terrible cramps, shark week has arrived. Today was a good day, even got some grocery shopping done after work so I could continue with my meal prep 3/31 accomplished
7/5 139 the bloat is real 3/31
7/6 139.2 it is going to be a rough weekend...I am expecting a gain 3/31
7/7 139.0 it's been an awful weekend as expected. I am dissapoined with myself. I have my meals pre planned for the week to turn it all around. I am also beginning to see how this work schedule mixed with after work eating habits can potentially become a slippery slope for my weight and I am really going to have to begin again. I want to promise myself diligence, i want to promise myself a restart and actually do it. I am tired of disappointing myself so no more. I can do it! 4/31
7/8 140.8 the weekend is over and the restart commences. I am done eating out and I am ready to start getting back to my usual work out. For the past month I have worked out maybe 3x... my job is active and being a new place (opened the day I started) they haven't hired any staff besides me and one other person, which makes my hours crazy (did 115 hours in two weeks...Not counting the times I didn't get paid because I went in on my "free time" to make sure inventory and prep was completed) it made it difficult to eat at work and even more difficult to not over indulge when i left. Healthier options or not this is a slippery slope and I need to readjust so this doesn't continue upwards. It's been a month at my new job and things are finally starting to be more organized so I don't see any issue with actually accomplishing my restart...either way wish me luck 5/31 accomplished
7/9 139 today was my second day off in a month. I got some workouts in, slept and ate healthy home cooked meals. I am so happy I slept, I have been having the worst sleep ever so I needed this. 6/31 accomplished
7/10 137.8 great day! 7/31

3 - drinking my water

Day/Weight/Comment
07/02 - 166.5 Good day, cycled as planned, I'm feeling it in my legs! I'm behind on drinking my water though!
07/03 - 166.1 (-0.4) Gives me hope lol Yesterday was really good, but I was still doing my steps at 10pm lol one of the disadvantages of cycling to work is that I'm finding it harder to get my steps in!
07/04 - 166.1 (0.0) - Happy with a status quo, I had a pasta dish for dinner last night so I wasn't expecting any change even though I stayed within my calorie count. All my goals were covered for the day. Today is going to be hard as I'm going to the restaurant tonight. I don't often go (2-3 times year) because it's expensive here so I do tend to indulge on those rare occasions
07/05 - 166.2 (+0.1) - So considering I went to the restaurant yesterday evening I think it's not too bad. I was dreading weighing myself this morning! I've got another lunch date today but I'll try and stick to salads and avoid carbs today as I eat so much bread last night with the tapas yum !
07/06 - 161.7 (-4.5) This is weird, I don't normally loose so much but happy. However feeling a little light headed today.
07/07 - 164.9 (+3.2) I'm not really surprised, I ate all my sports calories yesterday as I was feeling totally drained the day before (tired and weak) I think I over did it during the week but now I'm feeling better. Going for a long walk today.
07/08 - 165.0 (+0.1)
07/09 - 165.2 (+0.2) So this is the time when I have to try hard not to give up, I have been eating constantly my 1200 allocated calories (except one day when I also ate most of my daily exercise calories gained), cycling 5/6 days, getting my steps in but my weight just fluctuates so much and now I'm nearly back to my starting weight after all this effort, it's quite discouraging
07/10 - 165.2 (0.0) Status quo, at least I've stopped gaining back so an improvement!! I'm so please to have done this, I can't believe it's nearly the end of my first round!
07/11- 163.9 (-1.3) wohoooo finishing this first round on a good loss with 2.6lbs instead of 2lbs planned! Yesterday I added a low impact aerobic and drank my water which I had been skipping. I also squeezed in another low impact working this morning to get the day started in a good way before cycling to work!
This group has helped me stay accountable and I'm looking forward to joining you all for the next one

Away this weekend for 4 days for the last cheerleading competition of the season.
But aiming to finish in the 136's (Last round ended on an artificially high weight due to family event the night before).
Started my 1,000,000 step challenge on July 1st and only 5 weeks till my holiday so plenty to focus on!
Round Start Weight 140.4lb
07/02 - 136.9lb (-3.5lb) Well that's the weekend whoosh expected a day or so early but happy to take it. TOM started unexpectedly too today so maybe that was part of it as well.
Food planned and prepped for the day and gym for an hour tonight.
Logged 11,378 steps yesterday which isn't bad having been at work - 988,622 to go! At work but hoping to get a walk in at lunchtime to up my steps for the day.
07/03 - 136.7lb (-0.2lb) 16,735 steps. Lots of steps as trainer took us out on a run tonight! Did a total of 7.5km where we ran for 5 minutes then walked for 2 minutes! Quite proud of myself as I am not a runner at all - love walking and love being out on my bike but not running!
07/04 - 135.4lb (-1.3lb) 10,967 steps (960,920 to go) Happy with this although not sure how much of this is down to the fact I only had a small dinner yesterday evening. Had a day off work yesterday to watch my youngest in her swimming gala so think it may also be due to sweating off pounds in the swimming pool as it was unbelievably hot in there! Good food day planned today then heading off early tomorrow to Bournemouth for the UK Cheerleading Nationals finals weekend - these events are always a test to any form of healthy eating!
And a Happy 4th July to our American friends today
07/05 - 135.6lb (+0.2lb) Really pleased the drop has hung around despite my (homemade within calories) burger last night. Heading off for the weekend now with good intentions but so hard at these events plus it is my birthday on Sunday so will have a gin and tonic and probably an ice cream on the beach too. 10,817 steps
Have a great weekend
07/06 - AWAY Only 5,380 steps as too much travelling time!
07/07 - AWAY 14,986 Steps
07/08 - AWAY 11,111 steps
07/09 - 137.7lb (+2.1lb) Not an unexpected gain for a long cheerleading weekend away with my birthday in the middle of it all as well - overall pleased with my weigh in today. Youngest got a 2nd and also crowned National Junior 1 Champions and eldest got a 3rd and a 4th (losing out on top spot by less than 0.8% - such a close competition!). Also only manged 6,707 steps yesterday as too much car time travelling home. 88,081 steps to date though.
Back on track today and gym tonight for an hour plus water, water and more water !
Couple of days to try and finish this round weighing less than what I started it .....
07/10 - 136.4lb (-1.3lb) 12,426 steps. All good as weekend bloat going and feeling good and motivated. No gym tonight so will fit in a decent lunchtime walk at work. Food prepped and planned
07/11 - 136.4lb (STS) Happy to finish the round here as lost in the round overall and had a celebratory glass of fizz last night with the news of the safe arrival of our latest (6th) grandchild! They live 200 miles away so its another hotel and car weekend ahead so we can head up and meet the new man. Piccie to show him off here
See you all next round xxx

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
