08/01 - 200.4 - Been sitting at ~200 for weeks now. Eat a pretty consistent 2300 calories 5-6 days a week and do quite a bit of HIIT cardio + lifting.
08/02 - 201.2 - Not surprised at all..ate a bit more than usual.
08/03 -198.4 - Ehh..went out to drink that night and threw up a lot so lost a lot of water weight.
08/04 - 207 - There we go...recovering from hangover and ate a lot.
08/05 - 203.4 - Back on track
08/06 - 199.6 - Keeping it clean. Yeah, I know my weight fluctuates like crazy.

08/01 – 163.6 – Had a pretty good day yesterday except for the salt/sweet pecans in the evening which did me in. Today is a planning day – setting priorities for this fall/winter as I look at what needs to get done for us to move in the spring. Should be motivational for weight loss but sometimes that backfires with me. I’ve found setting goals can freak me out and I just head for the metaphorical woods screaming which undermines everything I’m trying to do. Incorporating small habit changes works better but they still need to have some plan/focus.
08/02 – 162.8 – There goes the water weight, now will have to really work to get the next lb gone.

08/04 – 163 Weighed yesterday but got a long phone call before I could post and the day just got away on me. Good last couple of days but it will take a few to fight back down from the uptick. Fresh veggies✔ exercises ✖
08/05 – 162.8 Fresh veggies✔ exercises✔ some LNS but on fruit. Feel so yucky when I first get up in the morning. I think I need to have a whole week of low fat and no snacking after supper to see if that helps.
08/06 – 164 – Did weigh but no time to post as off to an appointment in the city.
08/07 – 164 - Not sure why this is staying up. It’s been hot (for us, nothing like southern States). Got home hot, tired and annoyed. Was delayed getting to my appt. because of a bad accident and then twice in the day almost had someone back into me. Really need to just be thankful I got home fine with my important errands done. LNS - some chocolate but mostly blueberries and skim yogurt. Fresh veggies✔ exercises ✖ tracking cals ✖

08/01 -133.4 lbs. - Going to start walking everyday again as well as logging everything. My 10 yr old suggested doing a monthly challenge again, he chose squats this month lol I think he’s secretly trying to kill me....
08/02 132.6 stayed in my calories yesterday and got my steps in. Don’t know why I always dread going for my walks or a workout when I always feel better afterwards... have to try to change my mindset on that one.
08/03 131.2 got my steps, drank lots of water, and stayed in my calorie goal yesterday, keeping up with the squat challenge, my legs are sore!
08/04 132.8 ended up going out and eating salty food and drinking a few beer. Not really over over cals but it shows on the scale.
08/05 133.8 ate over...despite my big walk I ate crappy and didn’t drink my water. Hopefully I can undo the damage before the end of the challenge.
08/06 131.6 yesterday I stayed in my cal goal and had an active day of swimming and yoga.
Goal is to drink lots of water today and hit the elliptical as the weather is stormy here in Ontario.

Back again! Saw 141.7 last round once so I would like to get back down to that this round. Goals are to stay under 145.0 and drop my 10 day average again. I would also like to see a new low, but the last round I dropped 4 pounds and bounced around a lot. So this round I would be happy just to stabilize at 141/142.

08/01- 143.7 still holding onto Tuesday nights date night. Was hoping I would drop, but still hanging out here. Was on track all day yesterday and so far today I have been good. I have dinner planned tonight and we will be watching the first football game of the season, so should be relaxing for the most part.
08/02- 142.2 this is more where I thought I should have been the last couple of days. My 5 day average is the lowest it has been and maybe I will hit a new low tomorrow on my "official weigh in day". Last Saturday I weighed in at 141.7, so we will see what it says tomorrow. Dinner is in the crock pot and planned and so far today I have been on track. Took my daughter (my middle child) to go and register for her senior year of high school and get her schedule. Can't believe I will have another one graduating this year.
08/03- 142.2 way to many beers last night again. I have to get it together. I have done that twice now this week. I pretty much drank my calories last night, which is not doing anything for my weight loss. Had a good time, but isn’t going to help me lose these last couple of pounds and get into the 130’s. Water, water, no alcohol, and eat right today and maybe I will see a drop by Monday.
08/04- 142.2 Holding steady. Going to see Hobbs and Shaw with the hubby today and probably grab some lunch. We have to do a couple of maintenance things around the house this morning and buy a new lawn mower. So hopefully I can stay on tack and start getting it together.
08/05- 144.6 did not keep it together at all yesterday. Food was spot on, but had a couple of drinks at the movies and then a couple of more at dinner after the movies. I think I am replacing food with liquor. I am trying really hard not to snack and instead I am noticing I am drinking more. We did not buy popcorn or candy while at the movies because I didn't want the extra calories, but instead ended up drinking my beers faster and having more than normal. So this week I am going to have to switch something up.
08/06- 144.0 was on track all day yesterday. Still up from Sunday and Fridays shenanigans, but should be back down by tomorrow. Looking to finish this round strong, but have had numerous days where I was slacking and less days that I was working in this 10 day challenge. So I am trying to change that now. 4 days left to get back to 141 and it's easily doable if I stick to it and not mess up the next couple of days.
08/07- 142.1 Back down again. On track for today and meals are planned. Looking to drop again tomorrow, but we will see what happens. I never know anymore what that stupid scale will say in the am, lol. If I can hang out at around 141.xx for the rest of the challenge and stabilize I will be happy.

I forgot to post this morning. Good day yesterday and today, resisted the LNS temptations both days, so that's a win. And I got up for a run this morning despite being tired.
Went for dinner with DH, so estimated all generously, but should be well within, even with the small beer I gave in to.

Estimated a lot today, and needed some chocolate after work. While I didn't eat my breakfast, i did have an apple quite early,so my eating window is rather long.
Went for an evening walk while DH was cooking dinner and forgot to take my fitbit off charge, D'oh.but I think I got my 10k steps done. It will just not show in my weekly total.
Wait for TOM has started while wait for TMI has finally come to an end.
The next few days will be tough with wedding and birthday celebrations, but I'll take my yoga mat, running gear and scales to stay accountable.

Mon 15/07: 166.2: Goals: There are no excuses.I 😈 choose instant gratification over sensible eating at a family buffet yesterday. I haven't done that for some time. It did not go unpunished. My new healthy body rebelled big time. I spent an wretched evening feeling bloated and uncomfortable, with an extra big a big kick up the a** when I stepped on the scale this morning. Now, I know I haven't put on 2lbs of weight overnight, (though I may well have with the food I ate), and a lot of it is probably be water weight. But enough is enough, and too much is just plain daft. We all do daft things from time to time. The trick is to put it behind you and move on. I am choosing to have a few reset days of light eating to see if I can redress my blowout yesterday. Though if the truth be told, I have been sliding most of the week. I know this is only a blip. THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

08/01 - 238.2 - minus a pound from yesterday and feeling good about this round! Pretty decent on eating (went to happy hour with some colleagues last night and had a couple of glasses of wine) and continuing today, really want to stay under my calorie goal.
08/02 - 238.6 - I don’t even know 🤷🏾♀️ will do an at home workout today; planned my meals for the day... just going to keep trying to make each day as good as or better than the one before... can’t give up.
08/03 - 235.7 - yay movement!! Heading to the gym then out and about. Making it my mission to stick to the plan this weekend!
08/04 - 235.3 - stayed down! Don’t expect any negative movement tomorrow due to lazy weekend with some cheats thrown in.
08/05 - 236.3 - expected a bounce off of the weekend; not going to lose my mind over it (trying not to!!!!!!!); Did not make it to the gym yesterday but DO plan on doing an at-home workout and will hit the gym in the morning before work! If I can end this 10-days under 235 I will be soooo happy!
08/06 - 236.6 - heading to a concert tonight; it’s at a restaurant so will make a healthy choice for my meal. I am down 2.6lbs this round, keeping that front of mind!
08/07 - DNW - mostly intentionally; but was also running late this morning and outside of my routine so it was easy to stay away from the scale haha; haven’t made the best choices today but still within my calorie limit and determined to finish the day strong (just going to make it a bit of an uphill battle for myself this evening); about to do an at home workout before dinner.

I’m still battling TOM water retention with swollen legs so the pool looked fabulous last night. 08/04 - 207.2 omg! The lowest weight I've been in a year. So happy 🤩 didn't exercise, taking a rest day to be ready for personal training tomorrow. Stuck to calorie goals well even though fh got me some keto ice cream. It was delicious
08/05 - 208.6 uh oh... Why is the scale up so much? I stayed under calories. Maybe from the ice cream? Hoping it goes down tomorrow. Had a great personal training session and stayed welllll below calories so hopefully I turn it back around tomorrow.
08/06 - 209 even higher and I feel so bloated. I'm not sure why the scale is up even more today when I ate so little yesterday and exercised a lot. Hopefully this is just an anomalous flux and I'll get back to losing soon. I just get scared bc with PCOS issues, every time I start a new diet it works for a week or two and then stops even when I stick to it. I really hope that's not what is happening right now. Sticking to my calories really well today and went to the gym which is always a win. Fingers crossed this weight loss trajectory turns around soon

Got food poisoning or something and spent all last night throwing up and all of today in bed barely eating, trying not to get sick again. 08/01 187.2 – Off to a good start with a nice little drop. Busy morning, so I only had time for coffee before class. On the way home, I stopped for gas and then at the farm stand to pick up a few pots of zinnias to refresh the garden beds. I was ravenous by the time I got to my mom’s for lunch. Fortunately, I had some extra calories to spend. Goals met today!
08/02 187.2 – Got a lot accomplished in the house and garden before I got on the road. So it was another busy morning, but this time I made sure to have a decent breakfast so I’d be less tempted by all the high-calorie rest stop offerings. BBQ for dinner, but I stayed under my calorie limit and met all my goals again today.
08/03 No scale – Having a wonderful time visiting family for our traditional summer crab feast. A bit over on calories and a lot over on salt, but I know I can get back on track and deal with a bounce in the week ahead.
08/04 No scale – Wrapped up a lovely weekend with a long ride home. Too much salt and not enough water, but I managed to just stay under my calorie limit. Back to work (and the daily weigh-ins) tomorrow morning!
08/05 187.8 – Okay, there’s that post-weekend bump. I’ve got my work cut out for me this week. Worked for an hour or so in the garden after class but didn’t get much done in the house. I’ve got papers to grade and a quiz to make up tonight, so it’s going to be a long one.
08/06 187.2 – Better. Met my goals today, but I still have a ton of stuff to do before the end of the week. Thunderstorms predicted for tomorrow, so I’ll focus on finishing up some of the indoor stuff and hope the garden gets a good soaking.
08/07 186.4 – Yes! The rain did indeed water the garden. We got over 2 inches! Heavy thunderstorms all day brought some wind, but thankfully the power stayed on. Met my goals, but I’m feeling a little burnt out and unfocused. Just need to make one last push to finish the grading and then get some sleep. Last day of classes tomorrow, and then I’m off through Labor Day!

Hi all, this is my third round and excited to see where this next round takes me. I first started my MFP journey in 2015. I dropped down to 138 pounds and went into maintenance. I was fine for awhile until my world went crazy and exercise was no longer a priority. After putting on over 20 pounds, I got back to working out and calorie counting diligently. I have IBS and no gallbladder, so I stick to a low fat diet. I am also hypothyroid which makes losing weight at times challenging. I keep on trucking because the pot of gold at the end of 🌈 is health and an increased life expectancy.

08/01 127.2lbs. Weight is up from yesterday, but I refuse to stress over it unless the scale goes up ten pounds or something crazy. I got my strength training in and will take a walk to end my day. Lesson I’m learning: don’t sweat the small gains.
08/02 127lbs. Today was my rest day. Did a short step aerobic workout and made sure my protein intake was good. I’m starting to like what lifting weights is shaping my body into; really keeps me motivated.
08/03 127lbs. Today was 🥵 hot!! I got my workout 🏋️♀️ in early and walked to my doctors and the grocery store. I ate smaller frequent meals so I could have enough calories for the day (eating less is so easy in the summer). My calories have been too low on hotter days. I than turned on my fan and took a nap. Goal for this next week: meal prep and pack snacks for jury duty to get in my calories and protein.
08/04 127lbs. I almost didn’t want to train today. Unless I am walking, I train early. Today, my sister surprised me and we went out shopping during my usual workout time. By the time we got back, the thought of working out seemed exhausting. I forced myself to do it anyways and feel energetic from my lifting session. I was even able to keep up with my protein intake with careful food selection with lunch and snacks I now keep in my purse. Hopefully, the rest of the week goes this well.
08/05 126.8lbs. Woke up early and got in a good weight lifting workout. Food was on the low side of ok. My calorie intake is kinda low but part fear of an IBS attack and part habit and part 🥵 makes it hard to eat more. Greek yogurt and protein snacks have been helpful. Yesterday I bought a foam roller for muscle soreness and recovery and it is one of the best fitness investments I ever made. If anyone struggles with muscle soreness and wants to speed up recovery, foam rollers are a game changer.
08/06 128.2lbs. I weighed late today, so I’m not sure 🤔 how accurate that weight is. Today was my first day of jury duty and it was a looong day of sitting around. I fell asleep 💤 a few times. I did ok with food and walked during breaks. I came home and did some recovery yoga 🧘♂️ and foam rolling because: Stiff muscles+sitting for hours sucks.
08/07 126.5lbs. I officially now have two weeks of jury duty (it’s kind of cool doing my civic duty. Feels like I’m in one of favorite court shows). It’s totally throwing off my schedule; there is not enough hours in the day to get everything done. I’m exhausted 😩 and debating whether to workout with the little time I have left tonight. Ah life and it’s throwing of curve balls...

08/01 134.0 Back from a conference trip with lots of eating out and drinking (and let the food logging slip because was afraid to count up the calories, but realize that is how it is so easy to derail and not get back on). First day back after long day of flying yesterday and weight is up 2.2 pounds from last weigh in on the 27th so not my best start to a round. I tend to gain a lot of water weight flying and expect I will get back to where I was before the trip pretty quickly but may need 2 more rounds to get to STG of getting into the 120's. Felt great to get back to the gym - step class and weights today (which may not help with water retention either!) but was able to increase weights on bench press, deadlifts and squats so trip did not seems to have an impact on strength! NSV: At least I am below the weight MFP predicted based on food diary for today!
08/02 133.4 Starting to go back in the right direction! Back in the <10 pounds to get to the healthy weight category. Pushed cardio at the gym this am - latin dance class, abs on my own, and then spin class and looks like calories are on track for today, so hoping to get to where I was last round in the next few days.
08/03 133.9 well not quite the right direction...
08/04 132.7 I'll take it! Steady progress for losing conference/travel gain and almost back to low from last round (need to lose another 0.9 lbs). Calories are under for day, and did weights and elliptical so should have an overall deficit for the day. Did increase weight on bench press, squat and deadlifts and feeling some soreness so may not see a drop tomorrow if there is water retention with muscle recovery, but it will come in time!!!
08/05 131.8 Whoot whoot! back to lowest weight from last round and have erased travel gain! Cardio day - did step class in the morning and then back after work for spin class. Under on calories so far, so hoping to stay on track for rest of the round. (of course I will not be surprised if there is an increase tomorrow given the nonlinear ups/downs of weight loss).
08/06 130.5 Woohoo! This was unexpected, and likely water/glycogen loss from the double cardio yesterday (am and then pm so time to recover), since CICO would suggest a much more modest 1/3 pound drop - but not complaining! Hope that I can keep it until the end of the round, but whooshes like this take some time to stick so will not be at all surprised if it is up tomorrow. Sushi dinner with a good friend from out of town so will bank calories during the day to enjoy dinner (hopefully sodium won't be a killer). Plan to do weights and spin class at the uni gym later, to stay on track as exercise over the next few days may be limited due to travel.
08/07 130.9 Totally expected after a dramatic drop over the last several days (plus had sushi and soy sauce last night so water weight is probably a factor - but totally worth it!). Thrilled though that weight is still in the 130.x's for now, and in terms of trends I seem to be back on track. Out of town the next 2 days so will not weigh in but will track food. Turns out the gym in town has a $10 day pass, so I may try to go to the Zumba class after dropping the girls off at camp and then hit the weights (DH said that they had decent equipment). NSV: Had to put on old foul weather gear (bought in 2004) as we get caught out in a thunderstorm on the water, and was pleasantly surprised that it was too big, even though I still weigh more now than I did then. The weight training has really helped with body composition along the way.

8/1 - 212.7 Water weight from the vacation is starting to go. I am still bloated from all of the foods I ate on vacation that I was sensitive to. I am very proud of myself for how quickly I got back to my normal eating and I haven't let the vacation derail the habits I had prior to going on vacation. Goal for today is a lot of water. Not feeling too good lately, the rheumatologist has added an extra drug for the next 6 months and I know from past experience that it'll be hard going with weight loss this medication makes me nauseous and I get the munchies at the same time with it. I've changed to goals to just sticking to my recommended calorie intake for this round.
08/02: 161 (0.0) Another Status Quo, I think I'm at a plateau which is going to be hard to break through as I'm not doing as much exercise for the moment! Tomorrow, if all goes well, I'll try some static aerobic and that'll be my goal for tomorrow with the 1200 cal intake

08/01 - 238.2 - minus a pound from yesterday and feeling good about this round! Pretty decent on eating (went to happy hour with some colleagues last night and had a couple of glasses of wine) and continuing today, really want to stay under my calorie goal.
08/02 - 238.6 - I don’t even know 🤷🏾♀️ will do an at home workout today; planned my meals for the day... just going to keep trying to make each day as good as or better than the one before... can’t give up.
08/03 - 235.7 - yay movement!! Heading to the gym then out and about. Making it my mission to stick to the plan this weekend!
08/04 - 235.3 - stayed down! Don’t expect any negative movement tomorrow due to lazy weekend with some cheats thrown in.
08/05 - 236.3 - expected a bounce off of the weekend; not going to lose my mind over it (trying not to!!!!!!!); Did not make it to the gym yesterday but DO plan on doing an at-home workout and will hit the gym in the morning before work! If I can end this 10-days under 235 I will be soooo happy!
08/06 - 236.6 - heading to a concert tonight; it’s at a restaurant so will make a healthy choice for my meal. I am down 2.6lbs this round, keeping that front of mind!
08/07 - DNW - mostly intentionally; but was also running late this morning and outside of my routine so it was easy to stay away from the scale haha; haven’t made the best choices today but still within my calorie limit and determined to finish the day strong (just going to make it a bit of an uphill battle for myself this evening); about to do an at home workout before dinner.
08/08 - 238.1 - definitely in a place where daily weighing may be counter productive - hard to feel good about making better decisions and being consistent these past several weeks when the scale literally refuses to go in the right direction. Heading to the gym, will fight hard today to not let this ruin my day.

08/01 – 142.5 – I need to remind myself to drink more water. I slacked on it yesterday and could tell I was retaining when I got up this morning.
08/02 – 141.5 – I drank my water yesterday. Good start for the weekend.

08/05 – 143 – I was so busy Saturday I didn’t have a chance to post, then I got sick to my stomach Saturday evening and spent the night in the bathroom. When my stomach started to recover Sunday morning, all I wanted was carbs and that is what I ate. I’ll see how things settle down over the next few days.

08/07 – 143 – Yesterday was a fluke because I had a fasting (including water) medical test yesterday so I slept in as late as possible. I ended up grabbing some fast food on the way home from the test, so I’m sure my sodium is up today. I’ll have to really watch the next couple days because we have a party Friday night.

08/05: 210. I didn’t fast yesterday. We spent the day cleaning up from the party & relaxing. I got a pretty good night sleep which is reflected on the scale
08/06:. 210. I ate well yesterday & went to hot yoga. . I probably would have had a drop on the scale if I had slept. I had a horrible night sleep & have to work today.
08/07: 210! Three days in a row! I will drink more water today & be more active to see a little more movement on the scale

08/08 - 156.8? 157.2? - My scale kept flashing both of these numbers. I knew it'd be high but wowza. I am so dehydrated (couldn't have water during volunteering or during the escape rooms so only drank anything during lunch). Also, super salty foods. I feel pretty bleh. Woke up in the middle of REM so I'm struggling already this morning. Stomach already growling. I really need to drink things faster since I finished dinner by 6 and my drink at 730. I could eat an hour and a half earlier if I just cut it out or didn't sip it. But that's my dessert so I think I just need to start earlier with it.

08/01 - I forgot. Was distracted by the amazing smell of the pot roast I had in the crockpot all night. Feeling pretty bleh and unattractive today. Lots of sodium yesterday, I think. And snacking. I didn't track because I was so busy and then forgot what all I had eaten. Today I'm traveling to our general office and if I understood correctly, a coworker got us lunch situated so I didn't bring anything (free food while in a financial bind? Uh, yeah). I have dinner ready in the form of the delicious-smelling pot roast. And forcing myself to fast until lunch since I had a beer so late last night. Went grocery shopping on frugal mode and got some frozen veggies and other little things. About 7 meals worth of food for only $60! Win. Adding those veggies to everything. Also meal prepped 10 freezer breakfast burritos. Thinking of using them as a morning snack to break my fast (when I'm a good girl and don't eat/drink so late at night). Saves me from snacking until lunch.
08/02 - On my way back down. I really need to pay more attention to food. I have a freezer burrito I made to break my fast in about 3 hours and then my pot roast for lunch. Hopefully I can keep up mindful eating through the weekend. My neighbors and I went for a walk last night. Decided we will continue this as we all enjoy it and used to do it regular, we've just gotten in our own way. Plus accountability is nice. First Mama Neighbor and I for a quick loop in the rain (sprinkling) and then later MN, Downstairs Neighbor, and MN's roommate&bf went for another loop (still sprinkling). Very refreshing. BF's all weekend so no weigh-in Monday. Raining/storming today so my usual walk breaks may not happen. I'll walk around the building, probably.

08/05 - So much food yesterday. Went out to breakfast then friends made BF and I tamales for dinner (my favorite -- will make myself sick eating them). Ended up walking the majority of both BF's softball games and got some good steps in though not up to my 10,000/day I used to hit almost daily. Don't have anything packed for lunch today so I'm going to have to survive off vending machine, unfortunately. At least I have a decent dinner planned. Hopefully I don't pass out before cooking it. So tired since the softball games were so late (didn't get home until 10, asleep closer to midnight and a 430 wakeup)
08/06 - I did weigh, but I forgot what the number was entirely. Busy busy day and it only stays busy until I finally can go to bed. We have engineering team bonding tomorrow with volunteering in the morning followed by a lock room. Should be fun!
08/07 - Stayed at BF's last night since I had to drive into town to pick up the truck's title (to get it registered) so no scale. We are getting bombarded by a storm (severe thunderstorm warning) and it just hit us as I pulled into work. Made a beautiful light show driving in, though. Food yesterday wasn't great. They extended our meeting so they provided lunch in the form of fried chicken. At least had some green beans with it.Then dinner was last minute spaghetti to use the ground beef he had before it went bad. I think I was within calories but still not ideal. Today we are volunteering as a department, going to lunch, and then doing an escape room. Hopefully plenty of movement to offset lunch (since I have no idea where we're going or what they will have available to preplan). Still sticking to IF. I broke my fast early yesterday (at about 15 hours) but that's because I hadn't EATEN in 17 by that point, but it took much longer to finish my drink. I started getting dizzy and figured 15 is still good. Today I can eat at 1030 so I'm going to see about stopping on my way to the event to grab a small snack to break my fast with and hold me over until lunch so I don't get dizzy again.
