08/01 - 200.4 - Been sitting at ~200 for weeks now. Eat a pretty consistent 2300 calories 5-6 days a week and do quite a bit of HIIT cardio + lifting.
08/02 - 201.2 - Not surprised at all..ate a bit more than usual.
08/03 -198.4 - Ehh..went out to drink that night and threw up a lot so lost a lot of water weight.
08/04 - 207 - There we go...recovering from hangover and ate a lot.
08/05 - 203.4 - Back on track
08/06 - 199.6 - Keeping it clean. Yeah, I know my weight fluctuates like crazy.

8/1 No Scale Didn't exercise yesterday but I should have time tonight. I did stay within calories and not too bad on sodium - even got in more water than I normally do on travel days. Probably won't exercise tomorrow unless the weather cooperates enough to get in an evening walk after the four-hour drive. I'm enjoying my time with the BF. He's back on the road next week, so I will savor this time.
8/2 No Scale Walked/hiked three after work then went to dinner. It's very hard not to overeat at a tapas place with a Spanish boyfriend. He wants to try everything! I am not complaining just stating reality Obviously, I had to do some serious estimations when I logged it but I think I did ok. The good thing is you only eat half of anything and there are loads of veggies. My favorite were these fried plantains chips with black beans and chimichurri. I wish I knew the exact numbers on them, I'd go back just for those. Happy Friday everyone. Hug 'em if you got 'em
8/3 167.4 I’m fine with this. Driving yesterday and not exercising, eating at weird times, and this after spending two days eating every meal with a well-intentioned BF. I’m pretty happy today. Just finished walking 5 miles and I’m taking my recovering friend to lunch and grocery shopping.
8/4 169.0 WTH? Has to be water cause I didn't eat enough calories to gain 1.6 pounds overnight. It's just the roller coaster doing its thing.
8/5 169.0 OK, still the dang roller coaster. I walked 3 last night and had a mug cake for dessert after. That's 350 calories not enough to gain 1.6 pounds. Since I'm on the roller coaster, I suppose I have to roll with it. Gym or walking tonight??? Probably gym since I didn't make it one-night last week. Let's take Monday by the horns.
8/6 168.1 Better. Did not go to the gym or walk. Too many errands after work, then it was too late to walk. I could have gone to the gym late but it literally just occurred to me. When I was done with everything at 8:00 it was too late to walk (it would be dark before I got done) but I could have taken my lazy butt to the gym. OK. Lesson learned. I had this idea in my head that I could only go to the gym after work. That's dumb. My gym is open 24 hours. Monday got the best of me yesterday, but Tuesday will be MINE!15 -

This round might be a little rough, my birthday, my husband’s new job/schedule, and my usual pre-tom water weight stall fall in this round. I have pre-planned my birthday to stay on track, but sadly there is little I can do about hormones, or work schedules, so I’ll just have to stay on track and wait.
8/1 303.0 A nice start to the round. I’m hopeful of getting down a little more before the tom stall starts.
8/2 302.0 I wasn’t expecting this drop. I did extra weights yesterday and thought I would have a bounce or maintain. This makes a total of 80 pounds lost this year and I’m inching ever closer toward my next goal.
8/3 301.6 The trick this weekend is to stay on track even with my birthday tomorrow. We have a little extra money and it’s hard not to say let’s just go out. But I’m only two pounds from my next big goal and while I won’t make it there tomorrow I know that I will soon.
8/4 304.8 So for my birthday I got a 3.2 pound gain of water weight. I’ve been on track so I know that it has to be a water bounce from some source or another. I’ll be back down whenever this is passes.
8/5 304.2 I stayed on track and mostly on plan yesterday. I ate into my activity calories by 100 to have a cupcake that my daughter insisted had to be bought for me.
Because I was up yesterday I took the plunge and weighed at an earlier time that works better for the new household schedule. It’s all good though and while I didn’t account for a bounce up I knew this round would see some trouble with losing. Thankfully I don’t have anything else major happening until the end of the month so once tom comes the weight will go.
8/6 305.2 Wrong way again. I’ve had this happen before and it’s a matter of waiting it out because afterwards I have several big drops. I’m on track, though a little carb heavy last night , so I know that this is temporary.

Thank you. I didn’t know that the 200s had a name, but I’m looking forward to getting there after this bounce/stall set. I’m just happy that it happened before I got into the 200s. I should be nicely into them before the next one happens.6 -

08/02: 316.1 (-1.6) ... more uptick recovery. This is where I should have been at the end of last round, sigh.
08/03: 314.9 (-1.2) ... back down to my previous low from last week.
08/04: 314.8 (-0.1) ... new low, barely.
08/05: 315.2 (+0.4) … as far as fluctuations go, this is pretty minor. I was pretty lazy this past weekend due to being sick. That ends now - took a six mile bike ride and a one mile walk before work today.
08/06: 314.8 (-0.4) … to be honest, I'd be happy enough if I just maintained this weight for the rest of the challenge.

Only up 0.2lbs after eating. Less than I thought. I hope I can keep going down without having to wait until I can make my next EF. Got 2 48h planned for next week. I might do 48 this week as well, but more likely I’ll do OMAD today and tomorrow. Will be traveling at the end of the round/beginning of next. I won’t have scale, but will do my best until then.
08/02: 156.8 lbs (+0.8 lbs)
Still in re-feeding mode. And haven’t been bathroom in 2 days. Suspect that has something to do with it. Will do only lunch today, then fast to tomorrow lunch. Would hate to see al the weight go back up after my EF. To not get discouraged I did a quick hip measurement and it seems to have gone down 2cm (almost an inch). So that’s awesome.

Up again.. Gained back pretty much everything since my 72h fast. I’m counting carbs, protein, calories… This is getting depressing, and frustrating.

Had a VERY late dinner last night (8:30pm) with parents. I know I shouldn’t have. I’ll just do a late lunch/early dinner today. Have so much to do anyway. Freaking out about it. Those stress hormones aren’t helping. Have to suite myself. I had a plan which wouldn’t have put me in this situation. I didn’t follow through, so here I am.

Finally coming back down! Ended dinner very early last night to maximize my fasting. Gonna start a 2x48h schedule this week to make it work with my traveling later this week. Won’t have a scale, so we’ll see how well I do while travel. Still have 2 more days to get back down to my lowest at least. I’m so sick of seeing 157-159 on that scale! :P

Not at my lowest yet, but at least the weekend weight has come off. Will break my fast tonight at dinner. Let’s see what happens tomorrow. 48h doesn’t feel so bad anymore. It’s very interesting to see how it’s changed from struggling with 16h, when I counted the hours from the moment I woke up. 😂

08/01 -133.4 lbs. - Going to start walking everyday again as well as logging everything. My 10 yr old suggested doing a monthly challenge again, he chose squats this month lol I think he’s secretly trying to kill me....
08/02 132.6 stayed in my calories yesterday and got my steps in. Don’t know why I always dread going for my walks or a workout when I always feel better afterwards... have to try to change my mindset on that one.
08/03 131.2 got my steps, drank lots of water, and stayed in my calorie goal yesterday, keeping up with the squat challenge, my legs are sore!
08/04 132.8 ended up going out and eating salty food and drinking a few beer. Not really over over cals but it shows on the scale.
08/05 133.8 ate over...despite my big walk I ate crappy and didn’t drink my water. Hopefully I can undo the damage before the end of the challenge.
08/06 131.6 yesterday I stayed in my cal goal and had an active day of swimming and yoga.
Goal is to drink lots of water today and hit the elliptical as the weather is stormy here in Ontario.

08/06 152.3 had a great time at the lake. Went for a morning jog each day. No internet so tracking food was a lot of guess work especially because my lovely mother in law did all the amazing cooking. Beer seems to taste so much better at the cabin but I limited myself to one light beer a day. I was so happy to jump on the scale today and see that commitment to my goals paid off.

Round 85 Goals:
- Practice push-ups every day. I want to be able to do at least 5 on my toes without stopping by the end of August.
- 3 tumblers of water at work/day, 3 workouts/week, and 3 times walking around the neighborhood.
- Nearly every night I have a little sweet snack after we put the kid to bed...it usually fits into my calories, but I'm wondering if I really need it or if it's just a habit. I want to try to not have a late night sweet 5/10 days this round.

08/01 - 146.8 I seem to have a very special ability to get a nice low weight on the first day of a round, so that it's hard to compare back to at the end! But I jest, I'm not complaining about any loss. Especially because yesterday I gave into those fast food cravings for lunch - but also made time for two back-to-back classes at the gym (a kettlebell/HIIT style class and a tough kickboxing class), tracked all the food and had a reasonable dinner, so it didn't throw off all my progress. Also, besides a couple of lunches out with coworkers, this is the first time I've bought food for lunch since May!
Now that we're in a new month, I'm done with the distractions of July and setting my sights on our beach trip at the end of the month. It was on our Labor Day beach trip last year that I realized how uncomfortable I felt in my body and that I wanted to make changes. So I'm very excited for the changes I've already made, and for the progress I know I can make in the next month. And that starts with this round!
08/02 - 145.6 Well that's 3 Fridays in a row seeing a 145 on the scale! The last two weeks I've gone up over the weekend, so I'm determined not to let that happen this time! Yesterday was good: I had a lot of water, ate soup for lunch and walked to some stores instead of driving, and I made a salad for dinner and packed another serving for my lunch today. I completed 8 continuous inclined pushups on my desk at work, and also a few at home on the kitchen counter. Also no late night dessert!
08/03 - 143.6 Well. Well. What.

I checked like 6 times to make sure this wasn’t a mistake! I doubt it’ll stick around, but a pretty good feeling to know something was working “behind the scenes” even when I didn’t see that on the scale every day. Yesterday was actually closer to maintenance calories than deficit, so I wasn’t expecting this at all!

08/05 - 146.0 Well I guess I felt like I had some extra room to eat after that big drop on Saturday morning, so my weekend wasn't quite as on point as I wanted it to be, but still happy with where I am this morning! And I did some prep to set myself up for success this week: salad lunches packed, water bottles filled, going to the gym tonight and healthy dinners prepped. I'm going out of town Thursday evening, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to weigh in on the last 2 days, so I'd like to hit my goals before then!
08/06 - 144 Whoosh! Ok, that feels better! Yesterday was on track with my eating (no LNS!) and went to the gym for a conditioning and boxing workout. I worked hard, but still came home to practice my push-ups - feeling a little bit stronger already!

08/01 …..202.0 ….. The travel left my activity very low, especially while sitting at the movies too. The Lion King was fantastic. Amazingly realistic! As always, a great story. They built a “Golden Corral” in the city we went to. Visited that restaurant once in 2007 while visiting my sister in Tennessee. Ate less than I used to, but all the wrong (carb filled foods). It was an outing for my son & grandsons (2 July birthdays) Depressed with the scale today but raring to go. Back to business. Lots of work at the cabins & grounds today. No exercise & no activity showing on my fitbit. A whole day of sitting….sitting….sitting…. but I loved spending the time with my family away from home/work.
08/02 …..198.2 ….. Wow! Goodbye water weight! Cabins will be full this weekend. Between now & the 13th is my busiest and most hard-working time of the year! Lots of movement & activity expected so I plan on trying to keep my diet in line with my activity for 100% success! I did a little prep cooking yesterday & I hope to do more today. Yesterday’s stats: 1380 Calories In / 2659 Calories Out. 45 Net Carbs mainly from Spaghetti Squash Lasagna. 15,091 Total Steps & 6.39 Total Miles. 13/13 fitbit steps hours. I slept 5 hours & 50 minutes which was wonderful for me. I took a 54 minute walk, did aggressive yard work for 25 minutes & I rigorously cleaned cabins for 30 minutes. Have a great weekend everyone!
08/03 …..198.2 ….. Holding steady. I was worried it was a fluke yesterday. Out to dinner with my son yesterday. I haven’t had dinner out with him in a couple of years. Just family dinners at home. He lives about an hour away so the visit was last minute but very nice. Yesterdays stats: 1627 Calories In / 2520 Calories Out. 87 Net Carbs which is a bit of an ouchie. 11,009 Total Steps & 4.66 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 45 minutes & woke up tired but starting work early due to a hot water heater going out in Cabin #6. Replaced while they went downriver kayaking / canoeing. Thank Goodness my go-to repair guy was readily available. I did rigorous room cleaning for 68 minutes. Too busy for my evening walk yesterday due to my son’s visit.
08/04 …..198.8 ….. A good day yesterday. I stayed within my macro/carb budget & got lots of movement. The uptick is probably from 2 days ago when I went to dinner with son. Q J is right. It often shows up a couple of days later on the scale. Yesterday’s stats: 1325 Calories In / 3006 Calories Out. 27 Net Carbs of friendly veggies & an Atkins protein & fiber bar. 17,059 Total Steps & 7.22 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 4 hours & 20 minutes waking up refreshed & wide awake. I walked for 17 minutes, rigorously cleaned cabins for 68 minutes and I danced for 15 minutes. Sample song “Daydream Believer” by the Monkees. Today will be a busy day with lots of steps. Some yard work & yard clean-up. I ended the day with a short 10 minute aerobics session. 13/13 fitbit step hours & I slept 5 hours & 19 minutes totally exhausted. Feel pretty good today. Back again. I've been backsliding (can you slide up?) since Dec. and it stops now, no more excuses. So new plan & goals....
Food -- cut out added sugars & flour products; focus on healthy plant-based foods with some fish & chicken. Calorie goal ~1200.

OK, I seriously considered fibbing about this. But I did not gain 2.8 pounds overnight, so this is water. Still, though, terrifying. But I'm serious now -- new month, new plan, new goals, new attitude. I'm also going to aim for no evening snacks. I've been eating way too many calories between 9-11 pm. If my cat will let me, I think I'll knit to keep my hands occupied. If he won't, I'll sit on them. If I don't have a downward trend over the next 10 day, please, someone, kick my butt.

08/01 134.0 Back from a conference trip with lots of eating out and drinking (and let the food logging slip because was afraid to count up the calories, but realize that is how it is so easy to derail and not get back on). First day back after long day of flying yesterday and weight is up 2.2 pounds from last weigh in on the 27th so not my best start to a round. I tend to gain a lot of water weight flying and expect I will get back to where I was before the trip pretty quickly but may need 2 more rounds to get to STG of getting into the 120's. Felt great to get back to the gym - step class and weights today (which may not help with water retention either!) but was able to increase weights on bench press, deadlifts and squats so trip did not seems to have an impact on strength! NSV: At least I am below the weight MFP predicted based on food diary for today!
08/02 133.4 Starting to go back in the right direction! Back in the <10 pounds to get to the healthy weight category. Pushed cardio at the gym this am - latin dance class, abs on my own, and then spin class and looks like calories are on track for today, so hoping to get to where I was last round in the next few days.

08/04 132.7 I'll take it! Steady progress for losing conference/travel gain and almost back to low from last round (need to lose another 0.9 lbs). Calories are under for day, and did weights and elliptical so should have an overall deficit for the day. Did increase weight on bench press, squat and deadlifts and feeling some soreness so may not see a drop tomorrow if there is water retention with muscle recovery, but it will come in time!!!
08/05 131.8 Whoot whoot! back to lowest weight from last round and have erased travel gain! Cardio day - did step class in the morning and then back after work for spin class. Under on calories so far, so hoping to stay on track for rest of the round. (of course I will not be surprised if there is an increase tomorrow given the nonlinear ups/downs of weight loss).
08/06 130.5 Woohoo! This was unexpected, and likely water/glycogen loss from the double cardio yesterday (am and then pm so time to recover), since CICO would suggest a much more modest 1/3 pound drop - but not complaining! Hope that I can keep it until the end of the round, but whooshes like this take some time to stick so will not be at all surprised if it is up tomorrow. Sushi dinner with a good friend from out of town so will bank calories during the day to enjoy dinner (hopefully sodium won't be a killer). Plan to do weights and spin class at the uni gym later, to stay on track as exercise over the next few days may be limited due to travel.

08/01: 202.8 . First day ever doing this, tracked all my food, and was under calories by a lot. So far, so good. Getting comfortable with it slowly but surely.
08/02: 202.0 even with the struggle of hanging out watching the dodger game. Limiting myself to only a few lower calorie beers. Few chips and salsa. And nothing else, I was able to stay under my calorie count by a small amount. Really only because I worked out hard enough before so I could have those yummy things.
08/03: 201.6. Going in the right direction. Stayed under my calories for the day. Had a great workout. Got all my water in plus some. Getting into a rhythm to get me where I want to be. Yay!!
08/04: 202.8. OOPPSS WRONG WAY! didn’t have a strong day yesterday. Had a girls day and enjoyed myself. Today is a new day and back on track. I’m going to get rid of that pound I gained and some!
08/05: 202.4. Not what I wanted or expected. I know I have a lot of water weight going on. Had a great day yesterday with exercise. Plenty of water. And stayed under my calories. This heat has me retaining water. Or at least that’s what I’ll keep telling myself.

08/01 - I forgot. Was distracted by the amazing smell of the pot roast I had in the crockpot all night. Feeling pretty bleh and unattractive today. Lots of sodium yesterday, I think. And snacking. I didn't track because I was so busy and then forgot what all I had eaten. Today I'm traveling to our general office and if I understood correctly, a coworker got us lunch situated so I didn't bring anything (free food while in a financial bind? Uh, yeah). I have dinner ready in the form of the delicious-smelling pot roast. And forcing myself to fast until lunch since I had a beer so late last night. Went grocery shopping on frugal mode and got some frozen veggies and other little things. About 7 meals worth of food for only $60! Win. Adding those veggies to everything. Also meal prepped 10 freezer breakfast burritos. Thinking of using them as a morning snack to break my fast (when I'm a good girl and don't eat/drink so late at night). Saves me from snacking until lunch.
08/02 - On my way back down. I really need to pay more attention to food. I have a freezer burrito I made to break my fast in about 3 hours and then my pot roast for lunch. Hopefully I can keep up mindful eating through the weekend. My neighbors and I went for a walk last night. Decided we will continue this as we all enjoy it and used to do it regular, we've just gotten in our own way. Plus accountability is nice. First Mama Neighbor and I for a quick loop in the rain (sprinkling) and then later MN, Downstairs Neighbor, and MN's roommate&bf went for another loop (still sprinkling). Very refreshing. BF's all weekend so no weigh-in Monday. Raining/storming today so my usual walk breaks may not happen. I'll walk around the building, probably.

Ended up walking the majority of both BF's softball games and got some good steps in though not up to my 10,000/day I used to hit almost daily. 08/01 140, I can’t believe this is my 20th round! Took a barre class yesterday and made it through. It was like hot barre because the weather in Maui is so warm so my Fitbit showed 100 calories more burned than a usual barre class. Heading to a tennis lesson. I’m always very positive at the beginning of a month and despite 5-6 lbs being difficult to get to in a month with 20 lbs to go, it’s not impossible with good choices
08/02 140, stayed the same, but need to drink more. I had 92 ounces, but still work up thirsty. Humidity is no joke especially if you aren’t used to it.
08/03 139.9, slow and steady but great to see a number in the 130s. I head back home on Monday, so have a few days left to get back to normal routine before the end of the round.
08/04 139.8, I’ve been eating really well and drinking less alcoholic beverages than usual (all the drinks here are really sugary and with it being so hot, been drinking almost exclusively water). I’m hoping to see a drop after the 7th (first full day back), because I’m a bit confused why haven’t dropped more this week unless it’s water retention.
08/05 139.8, weight from this morning. Just landed from 6 hour flight and didn’t eat very well and didn’t exercise so hoping not too much fallout tomorrow. Back again! Saw 141.7 last round once so I would like to get back down to that this round. Goals are to stay under 145.0 and drop my 10 day average again. Last Saturday I weighed in at 141.7, so we will see what it says tomorrow. Dinner is in the crock pot and planned and so far today I have been on track. Took my daughter (my middle child) to go and register for her senior year of high school and get her schedule. Can't believe I will have another one graduating this year.
08/03- 142.2 way to many beers last night again. I have to get it together. I have done that twice now this week. I pretty much drank my calories last night, which is not doing anything for my weight loss. Had a good time, but isn’t going to help me lose these last couple of pounds and get into the 130’s. Water, water, no alcohol, and eat right today and maybe I will see a drop by Monday.
08/04- 142.2 Holding steady. Going to see Hobbs and Shaw with the hubby today and probably grab some lunch. We have to do a couple of maintenance things around the house this morning and buy a new lawn mower. So hopefully I can stay on tack and start getting it together.
08/05- 144.6 did not keep it together at all yesterday. Food was spot on, but had a couple of drinks at the movies and then a couple of more at dinner after the movies. I think I am replacing food with liquor. I am trying really hard not to snack and instead I am noticing I am drinking more. We did not buy popcorn or candy while at the movies because I didn't want the extra calories, but instead ended up drinking my beers faster and having more than normal. So this week I am going to have to switch something up.
08/06- 144.0 was on track all day yesterday. Still up from Sunday and Fridays shenanigans, but should be back down by tomorrow. Looking to finish this round strong, but have had numerous days where I was slacking and less days that I was working in this 10 day challenge. So I am trying to change that now. 4 days left to get back to 141 and it's easily doable if I stick to it and not mess up the next couple of days.
