08/12 – 142 – I haven’t weighed in this low on a Monday for a while. Some of my weekend food choices may catch up with me tomorrow, but I did a lot of moving around yesterday so hopefully, it won’t be too bad.
08/13 – 142.5 – Here’s my weekend blip up. I found out that I have a small kidney stone yesterday, so I definitely drank a lot of water.
08/14 – 142 – Well, if nothing else, I’m getting extra steps in because of all my bathroom trips. More water today. Looking at the likely causes of kidney stones has made me re-evaluate my eating habits. Almonds and cashews have become my go-to snack at the office over the past year and of course, that can help cause stones. There are also a number of other foods and supplements I’ve been eating that can contribute to them. Just when I thought I had a handle on how to eat at maintenance, I’m going to have to change things up.
08/15 – 141.5 – All that extra water seems to be paying off. I’m off work tomorrow to prepare for hosting an extra large family gathering on Saturday. I’m going to stay on track, because I’m sure I’ll be indulging on Saturday.

08/19 - 142.5 - I haven't had time to post the past few days, but I have tracked my weight. All the food that was brought to the gathering on Saturday and was left at my house was a reminder to me of how easy it is for me to gain my weight back. I fought off the urges yesterday to finish the brownies, cake, and cookies that are stacked in my kitchen, but it wasn't easy. I've packed them up this morning, put them in the fridge, and I'm taking them to work tomorrow to share with co-workers. What doesn't get eaten gets thrown away.
08/20 – 142 – I ended where I started and considering the food this weekend, I count this as a success. See you next round.

Ok, back for my 2nd round. Lost .9 in my first round, but fluctuation was 2.8 over the course of the 10 days. Can’t explain it all, but hoping to learn from it for this round. See I am already up 0.3 over last round’s end.
Monday, 8/12/19 - 124.2
Why?! Rode several miles on my bike Saturday and walked most of Sunday. And logged in everything I ate. So, why?! Never went over my allotted 1,200 calories for a day. Have to assume for now trend will be down again this round. Just frustrating. Trying really hard to be “good” in a sustainable way that could last long term.

Back in the right direction. Would love to see something lower tomorrow as a bday present to myself for my conscious (but reasonable/sustainable) efforts.

Sure this isn’t real - wasn’t very hungry yesterday for some reason. Nonetheless, I’ll take it for today and see where things go in the next few days. Always focused on not totally denying, just making better food choices the majority of the time. Know adding in strength training is on the to do list. Honestly not sure going to the gym is a reasonable goal with my long work hours and a family. Looked up “office exercises” and will see if I can incorporate some of these into my day. And Happy Birthday to me!

Hmmmm. This doesn’t make sense again. Sure this is temporary, but don’t know why. Yes, have been consciously eating and limiting snacking, but had nice bday dinner out last night and a glass of wine. Chose meal wisely and avoided bread in the table, but still had a nice date with my husband and enjoyed the experience. Assume numbers will go back up somewhat. Going to plug away and see what happens . . . .

Official bday family celebration last night. Actually ordered well. Problem was the kids got pizza and didn’t love it. Fancy restaurant pizza. But I liked it, especially all the crust they left! And had to have some of the dessert ordered for the table, even though I didn’t want and and actually am not a dessert person generally (more salt/chips obsessed). My current desire to lose some pounds and get more fit is personal to me. Didn’t want to answer to all at the table why I wasn’t partaking in my own bday dessert. About to start a week with no kids while they are both visiting my parents. Not sure how this will go - not tempted by them but my husband will want to go out most night because we can. Let’s see how this goes . . . .

Well, Operation Kids-Out-of-Town-for-the-Week is going rough. Work is crazy and can do more of it without kids at home, so working crazy long hours (ie mostly sedentary) and then met my husband late night for a steak dinner. Didn’t even eat much but didn’t move much and, so it goes. Frustrated I lost momentum for this round. Going to pick up and try again next round.9 -

08/11: 209.8. My weight popped up again. What a pain! I will be fasting until Wednesday morning, maybe longer if I feel good. Yesterday I started with a bad stomach ache. I never get stomach aches. Hopefully fasting makes it go away fast because it is very uncomfortable
08/12: 207.8 still continuing the water fast. Yesterday was a wonderfully relaxing day. I did exactly what I wanted. I ate about 200 calories of chicken so not a perfect fasting day. Today will hopefully be better. I am
up bright & early to get in a sunrise walk.
08/13: 206.2. Still continuing the water fast. I did eat food yesterday. Probably 300 calories. I was like a bad kid eating when I was home alone. I would like to not eat for a full 24 hours because at this point I am afraid I am just restricting calories and not getting the benefits of true fasting. I feel good, slept relatively well. I missed my sunrise walk this morning, because I slept in, so I will have to figure out some time to get some exercise today.
08/14: 207. I ended my fast earlier than planned, yesterday at supper. I was very hungry. I am sure next time will be easier. It took a long time to fall asleep & it probably would have been better to break my fast in the morning as I had planned. My next fast will be in 7 days.
08/15: 209.4. I expected a jump up but not quite this much! We had supper at an Italian restaurant with a supplier so wine was flowing & dessert was had. Such is life. I did not eat 7000 calories so it should drop back down in a couple of days.
08/16: 208.4. Slowly coming back down. I did well with eating yesterday. No snacking, just had a pork chop for supper. The fast I did reminded me that I don’t have to eat just because get a hunger pang. It passes & I will survive. Today I will do yoga. I missed my sunrise walk but my dog is still waiting so I will take him for a shirt walk so he can settle.
08/17: 208.2 yesterday was a day full of anxiety for no reason. Weird how that happens some days. It happens to me much less now. I made some not so great choices but kept my calories low by skipping supper.

08/19: 212.4. Sigh. I struggle. I expected a 1lb gain… not over 4lbs. I had some drinks (too many) Saturday night. Yesterday was my 3rd day of all day anxiety. I didn’t log food on Saturday & Sunday, but I didn’t eat out of control, even though I wanted pizza & take out. I cooked healthy suppers both days. Back on track today even though I am disappointed, frustrated, angry with my body &myself . It is hard to make progress when one night takes away 17 days of losses..
08/20: 210.8. Not a great round for me, but It was all due to my own choices. Pity party over. There is no magic. I have to put in the work, consistently make good choices & deal with the occasional blip. It is my choice to have a blip. We are going to a Chinese buffet tonight for DSs birthday. This will be another chosen blip, but I planned for this one & will begin an extended fast when supper is over. I didn’t meet any of my goals this round, but the next round will be better.

08/11 - 139 9/31 I am really getting so frustrated I can cry. This isn't fair anymore... If anyone pulled my activity, constant moving and eating habits they would be withering to nothing... I am really starting to hate this. I am working way to hard to see no results. This is not fair!!!! I have even dropped foods and replaced them with fruits and veggies last week... I haven't eaten this healthy in almost two months but I seem to see steadily be climbing. I dont know what to do anymore 😭😭
08/12 - 140 10/31 something has to change. I have been watching my macros and they seem fine. Super frustrated. Going to try one last thing. Hopefully that helps or else I am going to need a nutritionist or something to really beat this weight

08/11: 313.4 lbs (-1.3) ... a good way to start out the round! Completed Couch to 5k W1D3 this morning.
08/12: 313.9 lbs (+0.5) … small fluctuation, I’ll attribute to it a bigger dinner last night (steak!), though I was still under my budget. 6 mile bike ride this morning.
08/13: 313.2 lbs (-0.7) … good stuff! That matches my previous low. Letting myself rest a bit today cardio-wise.
08/14: 312.5 lbs (-0.7) … that’s a new low for me, and under my goal for this round… just need to hold onto that loss and not fluctuate up too much in the next six days. Completed Couch to 5k W2D1 this morning. I was very winded by the end of the jogging intervals, but I made it through them! Joined a gym this week and I’m going to check it out and poke at some strength training tonight for the first time.
08/15: 312.3 lbs (-0.2) … continuing my downward trend. It’s been a good week. Didn’t accomplish much at the gym, it was fairly overwhelming - so many machines/devices in there that I don’t have the faintest idea what to do with - so I just walked on the treadmill for a while and watched others. Signed up for 3 personal training sessions to get me started.
08/16: 312.9 lbs (+0.6) … small uptick. Honestly, I expected more than this. I forgot about dinner and didn’t eat until almost 10pm, which definitely showed on the scale this morning. I still have some soreness in my left leg and my stomach felt off this morning, so I decided to push my next run off a day.
08/17: 310.6 lbs (-2.3) … nice! Beat my previous low by 2lbs. Still need to run today, didn’t get to it this morning. Planning to do so this afternoon.
08/18: 312.2 lbs (+1.6) … I expected this. I treated myself to Chinese take out last night. Fit within my budget but was a bit more food (and more carbs) than I typically eat for dinner. Tasty though. Still below my goal for this round, so I’m happy.
08/19: 311.2 lbs (-1.0) … some uptick recovery. Hopefully I’ll see another loss tomorrow to round out the challenge. Completed Couch to 5k Week 2 Day 3 this morning, though my left leg is a bit sore. I might give it a few days rest and redo that run. I’d be more comfortable ramping up my running intervals next week if I could complete this one without pain.

08/12 120.0 Flying home this afternoon. Looking forward to hugging my DH, scratching my cat, and sleeping in my own bed, as well as seeing other family, friends, and neighbors. I will miss Mbabydoll.
08/13 121.0 Day after travel day. Ate a really not Keto lunch yesterday at Taco Bueno before heading to the airport. Did not have nearly enough water and had one adult beverage on the plane. I was exhausted when I got home. Going to lunch with friends today.
08/14 121.5 Lunch yesterday was not what I was hoping for. Chinese is on place that I know is going to be carby but this was mega carby! Travel+2crappy high carb days+2 days no TMI = this! It’s okay because this will take care of itself.

08/16 122.5 After I had some “brunch” yesterday I learned that our friends were treating us to dinner. Had I known that was the plan, I would have had only a small snack. I ate a little and ended up with a belly ache all evening. Need more water and more time in the bathroom! Got some groceries so I/we can eat at home.
08/17 121.5 Back to my normal eating. OMAD El Pollo Loco chicken leg and thigh with broccoli x2 and butter. A handful of Mac’s pork Cracklins in the evening and over 5 quarts of water during the day.
08/18 120.5 OMAD Quick Chili over lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese.
08/19 120.5 Lovely couple from the Philippines invited us for dinner yesterday. It was delicious but very carby. Noodles, rice, egg rolls, beef skewers.
08/20 121.0 SUPER early weigh in! Why was I awake at 3 AM? Tried to go back to sleep gave up at 4:15.

Round 85 was the successful round I’ve had in months! I hate having to put the same numbers in again but at least this time there was a loss. If I can keep this up for the next few rounds I should get to some new numbers soon!

08/11 - 182.4 - I know a lot of the weight loss this week is water weight as I’ve been eating better and getting my water in it still feels good putting these numbers in though.

08/16 - 183.6 - my scale went crazy this morning and spent a lot of time trying to decide what weight I was. It went as high as 187 and as low as 181 before settling down. It normally does this a little but today took much longer to settle.

08/18 - 185.0 - if I could stay consistent with my food I could start actually losing again.

08/12 - 147.2 My weekend out of town wasn't a total free-for-all, but it did push the scale up a little more than I would have liked. Tired and not feeling well today, but using that as a reason to and not an excuse to not get back on track today!
08/13 - 145.8 Back down a little and physically feeling much better. Yesterday I could feel how slow and out of it I was, but I completed my boxing class as best I could, which helped a lot. I ate a frozen dinner but tracked it, and went to sleep early. Feeling like a new person today - and wearing yet another old pencil skirt to work! We have a family dinner out tonight so I have checked out the menu already and I have a few healthier options in mind for ordering so I don't set myself back too much.
08/14 - 146.6 Wasn't as good as I should have been at dinner, but still tracked it as best I could and didn't overstuff myself. Back on my shake, salad, and water today! If the weather cooperates, I'll try to get a neighborhood walk in too.
08/15 - 146.0 Up and down and up and down...weight loss is not linear...weigh loss is not linear. A drop is still a drop and as I'm getting closer to goal weight, things are slowing down. And I haven't been 100% on my game either, even though my calories are coming in fine. Tonight it will feel good to get back to the gym, and hopefully that will stir up some energy...I've been falling asleep super early all week! So no pushups and no walking, but at least I'm not staying up late to snack!
08/16 - 145.0 Feels like I've been floating around this weight for so long now, but it's really only been over the last two weeks! I did have a great kickboxing workout last night, and we threw together a dinner that I was able to easily track. I didn't have anything packed for lunch either, and didn't have any particular cravings for fast food, but I was very, very tempted to just go grab some because it was a quick option. Fortunately, I took some time to think it over, remind myself of other restaurants around my work area and use that to pick a healthier lunch option! Really looking forward to getting a meal plan going again for next week, which should help with closing out this round!
08/17 - 143.6 Started the day with a great cross-training fitness/MMA class! That and hitting my previous low weight from a few weeks ago kept me focused and helped to not blow my progress at a kid’s birthday party in the afternoon. Normally I’m all about the cake, but this one wasn’t even that good, so I took a few bites and threw it away.
08/18 - 143.4 **NEW LOW!** woohoo! Today is all about grocery shopping and meal prepping and planning for a successful week all around!
08/19 - 143.2 **NEW LOW!** Hello hello to a weight I literally haven't seen since before I got married 5 years ago! Although I'm not sure if this weight will stick around...the weekend consisted of more small meals/snacking (while staying within calories) instead of actually sitting down for meals. But sure is nice to see! My breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are all planned or prepped out for the week, and going to the gym for kickboxing tonight! I've been slacking on my pushup practice, so I need to get a little more consistent with that. And also...it's way too hot for walking outside. That goal was reaching a bit and not going to accomplish it
08/20 - 142.6 **ANOTHER NEW LOW!** Wow wow. A great end to this round! This is my biggest round loss so far, even though the average is right about the same as Round 85. Yesterday my meal prepped lunch (Hawaiian-inspired chicken bowls) was delicious, I had an awesome kickboxing class where we paired up for drills for the whole hour, and our dinner (crockpot chicken tacos) was also delicious and filling. Super duper proud of myself this round for getting right back into my routine after being out of town, and seeing some big results! On to Round 87!

Whaaaaa??? Delayed reaction? Whatever it is, I’m pretty ticked off at myself. Sigh. But I have been eating better the past few days, so I have to think this is a fluke. We’ll see. Anyway, it’s a beautiful morning, so I’m off to a section of the river greenway I haven’t walked this summer. Then I plan to dig out old icky mulch piled on too thick by previous owners and replace with good stuff. Rain maybe later, so we’ll see. Life is good even with a few unwanted pounds. I’ve been talking about my garden for the past couple of months and thought I’d show you the view from my patio yesterday — at the beginning of June, this was just grass and river rock.

08/13 299.8 First thank you everyone!! I’m far from the finish line, but it’s so nice to hit this point in my journey. It’s been a long time since I’ve been under 300. My next big goal is 250, that will be my lowest weight in about 20 years.
I’m not surprised by a bounce, I’m just happy that it’s not higher. Yesterday I was hungry and craving high calorie, high sodium foods. I knew that I wasn’t thirsty so I ended up opting for some high sodium soup that I could fit into my calories. I felt a lot better afterwards. My nsv yesterday was listening to what my body needed without going on a binge.
08/14 299.8 I’m okay with maintaining I’m still retaining some water from the high sodium day. I’m also a little stiff and sore this morning from deep cleaning and rearranging my kitchen. Lastly I’m still waiting for tom to show, but I’ve had a few of the signs that it should arrive in a few days. I struggled a lot less yesterday and even turned down ordering dinner in because of a stressful afternoon and instead stayed on plan. I’m really proud of myself for not turning to food and to deal with my stress.
08/15 299.4 Hopefully I’ll keep dropping I’d love some more distance from 300.
08/16 298.6 I was out and about yesterday and will probably be again today or tomorrow. It’s been a long time since I’ve been out and about, I hated being seen and hated how much effort it took just to get to the car. Because of this I planned a HUGE dinner because I hadn’t had much earlier in the day. However as I was measuring it out I stopped at about half my planned portions of everything going I think this is more than enough. In the past I would have easily eaten three times the amount I had planned to serve myself. As a result after dinner I was under 1200 calories for the day, so I treated myself to an ice cream bar that was well within my calories and macros.
All in all it was a very good day. My nsv was walking around Walmart, I hadn’t walked in a store for at least three years.
08/17 298.8 Tom finally arrived this morning, only 10 days late. This means I’ll drop some more soon, get my energy levels back up, and have less overly hungry days, at least until next month.

8/11 169.1 I didn't post this weekend though I did track. Foodwise I was ok except for Saturday I was over by 300 or so calories. Basically at maintenance. Which is no biggie really other than the fact that I have somehow pulled my hamstring. I can't walk. I haven't walked since Thursday. My leg hurts when I do walk... My mental health state misses walking already. Sharing your house with two people is challenging, more so when one can't go upstairs or drive so they're in the living/kitchen/bathroom 24/7 and the other has mental health challenges. I did spend a lot of time with my great-niece. Please see the pic of miss Sassypants watching Toy Story and at the park with my convalescing friend. We ALL needed out of the house. Too bad it was so miserably hot even at 10:00 a.m.
8/12 168.2 Some of the water gone. The best way to get over this hamstring thing is rest. No walking for at least 2 weeks. I have been doing some research on exercises you can do with the injury. The two that are options for me are the stationary bike and the rowing machine. I've never tried the rowing machine I might give it a whirl over the next couple of weeks. I'm proud of myself that I'm not letting this stop my exercise schedule. Yes, it's going to jack with my schedule and I HATE that (OCD has many forms ) but it's not an excuse to sit on my booty. I won't lie the Saturday late-night muffin MIGHT have been a little self-pity but I woke up with the right mind-set on Sunday.
8/13 168.0 Right direction. No gym last night, I had a hair appointment. The pain in my leg has already lessened. Good on calories though I miss the extra I get with exercise. It's been the hottest days of the year so I couldn't have walked outside anyway. Last night at 9:02 my weather app said feels like 100 degrees Fahrenheit. WOOHOO, I'm ready for the Ber months already.
8/14 169.1 Why up? My only guess is the new exercise is causing me to retain water. I rode the stationary bike last night for just under an hour. I was able to get my heart rate up and actually kind of liked it. Tuesdays are normally weight night so I think I'll stick to that and avoid anything that stresses my legs. It's so easy to get discouraged when you really think - it should be down today and instead it's up. The Water Retention Variable... a daily weigher's arch-nemesis.
8/15 168.3 Back down. I rode the bike instead of weights. I wanted to do an hour since I wimped out the night before. I think I could do an hour Plus. I may try on Saturday when I have more time and people aren't at home waiting for me to cook dinner. I'll do weights tonight. I had my days all mixed up yesterday, I thought it was Tuesday. I'm glad it's Thursday and am ready for Friday. I'm tired. BF is taking his youngest to college this weekend and his oldest will go back next Friday. It will be so weird to have both gone.
8/16 167.4 Down again, I'll take it! I was low on calories yesterday, I wasn't trying just wasn't hungry enough. I wish there were more days like that . I spent my hour at the gym doing weights and avoiding things that would involve my hamstring. It only cut out a couple of machines. I will be back on the bike this weekend. It kind of makes me want to ride a real bike. Maybe when the weather cools off I'll rent a bike. That's something different that I use to love. Happy Friday!!!
8/17 166.4 This is the lowest weight in 16 or 17 years. It’s water weight gone because I ate at maintenance yesterday and didn’t work out. I was expecting no loss or a small gain so I’m thrilled. It’s rainy this morning, I’m going to sort thru clothes that need to go. I know I need to do some fall/winter clothes shopping and I ain’t mad.
8/18 167.3 Back up a little but I’m ok with it. I wasn’t that great yesterday, my only workout was housework and I had 4 delicious cookies that I’m not sorry I ate. Usually, my have one rule works for me but those pecan sandy like butter thumbprint cookies with caramel in the middle and chocolate drizzled over are too good. I’m going to ride the bike at the gym today. An hour is a minimum, I have 3 extra cookies (600 or more calories) to work off! Enjoy this summer Sunday.
8/19 167.7 Up again - sigh. I rode the bike for 90 minutes yesterday, was within calorie goals so naturally, I'm up today. I ran around all day yesterday running errands then cooking and babysitting in the afternoon and evening. Is there anything better than getting a very cranky toddler to sleep when you have a million things to do? I have one day to lose a pound in water weight. It happens all the time, it happened in this round twice. Fingers crossed and let's drink that water!!!
8/20 167.9 Water did not make a difference. I got very sick yesterday morning. About an hour after I wrote ^^^ I started to have some really terrible stomach cramps, like food poisoning. I went home for the TMI part, but let's say I'm sure that weight I had "gained" was gone. My stomach still doesn't feel right. Today I'm having blood drawn for an annual check-up. No food for 12 hours before and I scheduled it 10:50, thinking when it was over I could hit the road. It's 9:00 and I'm starving!!!! TOM will be starting any day now so there's that. I really wanted to show a loss this Round, I mean a real loss this is just catching up. Oh well. I will stay on task and try to remember this is a lifestyle change and weight loss is the benefit, not the goal.8 -

08/12 - 138.0 lbs: TOM finally started, that explains the week of cravings. I think I'm over it. Of course, I start every day strong and sort of go off the rails around 3pm. Need to break that habit!
08/13 - 137.8 lbs: Feeling pretty good about where I'm at today. I did not go off the rails at 3pm yesterday for the first time in a long time, progress! Spent a couple hours cleaning out the garage instead and before I knew it, it was after 5pm. Maybe I just need to distract myself each day around 3pm... Heading out to play some pickleball in a few. Taking the day off from working out and plan to do some yard work, house work, organizing, etc. Will be working out a ton over the weekend. 08/18 - 136.8 lbs: feeling pretty exhausted this afternoon after another 3 hours playing in the sun. Came home and cleaned a bunch in the yard, probably not the best idea. Going to try to eat well tonight, hard to do when I'm so tired, all I want to do is eat and veg out.
08/19 - 137.2 lbs: and up and down and up and down. One thing about this challenge, I have learned the ups and downs are normal and they don't make me as upset as they used to. Just going to keep on keeping on.
08/20 - 138.0 lbs: Well, darn it. Was hoping to go down this round and was doing well there for a while. Who knows what's going on with the scale - I work out a lot and maybe my muscle mass is growing? I took measurements a while back, guess I'll go back to comparing those and not relying on the scale so much. I'm feeling pretty good in my skin anyway.8 -

8/11 - 158.5 - holding steady with very gradual loss. Last day with mom quiltingjaine here. She flies home tomorrow leaving me with a freezer full of keto meals/entrées.
8/12 - 158 - and then the tummy revolted. And then quiltingjaine & I had a carb-full meal before she left to go home. Been eating some emotions today. Tomorrow it’s gym & sun and clean eating.
8/13 - 158 - glucose was up, but the rest of the numbers are good so far. May not get much sun today, but I’ll still hit the gym & watch my mouth!
8/14 - 157.5 - baby steps. Baby steps. Watched my food & got in a good workout yesterday. Rest day so errands today. And preparing for the next major life change - taking the baby to college.
8/15 - 157 - busy day of packing & loading ahead. 3 busy days ahead! I will be getting in my gym time today though.
8/16 - 157.5 - traveling the next few days, so no scale. Have to own my eating.
8/17 - No Scale - move in day at ISU. Blood numbers are good though. No gym, but we’ll be busy all day.
8/18 - No Scale - driving back to OK after brunch with the kids. Numbers were even better this morning! I’m not going to have my “home scale” until tomorrow, so I’m not weighing until I can use it. Don’t want to stress myself out!
8/19 - No Scale - last day away. I’m exhausted! Exhausted, out of my routine & hungry = donut at car service department. It was everything I wanted it to be, so now that craving has been handled. I’m sure it will show the next couple of days, but I’m not going to dwell. Life as an empty nester has begun. Tomorrow I get back into my routine.
8/20 - 157 - my weight managed to stay good, but my other numbers are not so good. I knew that I’d pay for my food choices, and the bill is come due. Emotional eating is done, back on track today. Coffee, gym, cleaning. See you in Round 87!!

This round is gonna be weird as last ended, and this started in Las Vegas, where all my discipline, rules, plans, diets and what-not seemed to have stayed on the plane when I arrived in Vegas. I’ve probably gained all my weight back which I’ve lost since June. So my guess is my first weigh-in being back is around 165lbs. (168 was my highest!) We’ll see tomorrow how much damage Vegas means to me 🤣

I did the elliptical for 11 minutes, Walked at slower pace for 85 minutes and walked with neighbor at a faster but moderate pace for 53 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 852. Today I clean tourist cabins & do motel laundry all day. It will be busy.

Lots of paperwork today so I hope to fit in some activity. Can I lose one pound overnight to meet my goal? You betcha! Lots of water & mindful eating today.

Typing in red as a loss for the whole round is a very good start. I knew there would be less time for exercise & activity yesterday, so I am seriously proud of the overnight change. Yesterday’s stats: 1161 Calories In / 2548 Calories Out. 33 Net Carbs. 13,116 Total Steps & 5.55 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 6 hours & 29 minutes and needed every drop of it! I did some general housecleaning & flower transplanting for 90 minutes and I walked at moderate pace with friend for 54 minutes. Great round for so many! Finally back. Got upper dentures on the 12th. Thought I would lose weight because it was hard to eat, but I think I managed to consume more and definitely some stress eating leading up to it. Just thankful that I’ve had a partial for years so I know I will adjust over a few weeks. Have to start keeping track of the calories so my weight doesn’t balloon.

Last round I finally got into a new decade (139.6) but messed up right away and killed that weight,lol. Stress got me for a couple of days so I am back at it again and will try to get back down.

08/11 - 141.5 up a bit today, not unexpected. Got into a bit of an argument with my husband last night and ate my emotions today. Men just drive me crazy with how simple they think sometimes, at least that is the way husband is. I crave carbs and comfort food when I am upset, so I consoled myself with them. We have been married so many years we hardly ever argue and when we do we make up fairly quickly, but he just makes me so angry sometimes. Uugghhh
08/12 - 145.0 so here is the rest of my emotional eating on Saturday and I was horrible yesterday. Of course we have already made up, but then he took me to lunch to apologize and I had 2 bloody Mary's so the sodium and carbs are through the roof right now. Water, water, and water today to get me back down. 5.4 pounds from Saturday morning to Monday morning is such a bummer. I have been doing this long enough to know not to freak out though and within a couple of days I will be back down. One weekend of emotional eating and drinking and this is what happens. I have to learn how to deal with things a little better I think, lol.
08/13 - 145.0 I am thinking this is all hormonal. I have been extremely sensitive and moody the last couple of days. I also wanted salt/sour things all weekend and couldn't satisfy my cravings. There is no reason for my weight to be this high and still be up other than stupid hormones. I know when just looking at my husband annoys me that there is something else going on. I am actually feeling a bit better today and can see how crazy I have been the last couple of days. I should have known when the scale jumped up almost 6 pounds over night and has stayed there something else is influencing it. Hopefully by Thursday or Friday I will be back to normal. Just have to stay the course at this point.
08/14 - 142.7 back down and feeling back to "normal". I am not mad at the world anymore, lol, and can actually think straight again. I love being a woman sometimes! Hopefully I will be back down to my 140/141 tomorrow and be able to hold steady there the rest of the round. I have 1 more round after this one to try and get into the next decade and stabilize before birthdays, vacation, and 3 day weekends take over for a month. The end of August and first half of September are going to be challenging, but I think I am up for it.
08/15 - 142.7 same as yesterday which is good, because I was not great last night. 3 beers, a half a piece of lasagna, and a garlic knot for dinner. Thankfully I started with a huge salad and I had only had 300 calories all day before that. It was so nice outside last night my husband and I sat out in the back yard and just enjoyed the evening. That's where my 3 beers came in, lol. Oh well, hopefully I can keep it together this weekend because I haven't accomplished much this week. I am still up about 3lbs from the ending of the last round, so if I can get rid of at least 1 more pound I will be happy. These last 5-7 pounds are really stubborn.
08/16 - 142.7 I have not been on track all week. I craved carbs and fast food all day yesterday and ate them. I don't know what is going on with me, but all I can do is keep going. I have planned today, so I should stay on track. My 2nd youngest is turning 14 on Sunday and we are having his party tomorrow. Will try to make good choices and if I can hold steady through the weekend then I can start fresh on Monday. All I can say is that at least I am not gaining anymore. I am still up about 3 pounds from the ending of the last round, so my work will be cut out for me in the next round for sure!
08/17 - 142.1 having my sons 14th bday party today and hoping to stay on track. Was great until I got home last night and had a couple of beers again. The weather is so nice and it’s killing me, lol. Monday I am back on track and getting rid of these last couple of pounds.

08/20 - 148.2 haven't checking in the last couple of days. Father-in-law passed away very suddenly on Saturday night and sent us into turmoil. Bad eating on the go, stress, alcohol, no sleep, and dealing with husband and family has taken a toll. Back at work today, but honestly I am exhausted and my heart hurts for my husband. We are probably going to have to go to Texas where his dad lived, but right now we are just trying to figure out what is going on. Terrible ending to this round obviously, but it's life and sometimes you can't avoid life. My 10 day average is way up and I am almost 10 pounds up from the ending to the last round. This is what happens when you go from eating little to no carbs for months to eating sandwiches in the car, easy fast food items, no water, lots of alcohol, and no sleep. It is what it is and I will see if I can get it back down. I am sure it's water retention and stress.11 -

08/11 - 207.6! Wow! Haven't seen a drop like this in a while. Very happy! Hoping I can maintain but probably wont tomorrow, cheated a little today on my macros but stuck to my calories. Had a special occasion today, so not holding the macro cheat against myself. Will do better with macros and exercise for the rest of the week though! Until then, grateful for the loss I had today
08/12 - 207.8! Up a little but so happy to see this number on the scale. Trying to do a good job of sticking to keto. Today is the first day of my fourth week and the first time I'm struggling with cravings. I just want a sandwich! Grr... Maybe it's a side effect of resisting so many temptations this weekend. Trying to stick to my macros and calories and to continue resisting. I'll try to find something keto friendly to scratch this itch so I dont obsess over cravings. Back to my lowest weight in two years 🤩 frustrating how much easier it is to stick to diet and exercise goals when the scale shows progress, but awareness of this type of thing is the first step to changing. Still, I'm very motivated to stick to food and exercise goals today. Made an epic fresh tomato sauce w lean ground beef and zoodles. Excited to have it again for lunch today
08/14 - 208.6... *sigh* literally for the entire month of August, my weight has been bouncing up and down 1.5 lbs. Gotta keep working hard to get it back down low. I hope I can push through this plateau soon. It's been exactly two weeks of the same yo-yo despite strictly following keto. Will try not to let this bring me down. Had a good workout with my personal trainer today and will stick to calories/macros and hope for the vest tomorrow.

I finally found a diet that's working for me with keto Pretty exhausted today from a tough weight lifting session yesterday, going to do some light cardio and stick to my healthy meals that I've prepped for today. 08/11 139.5, walked 32,000 steps yesterday during the festival, and woke up thirsty so need to drink more water. Today I’m on one stage mostly so my legs can have a much deserved rest!
08/12 140, had a really fun weekend, but got sunburnt so aloe is my best friend right now. Back to regular eating and exercise.
08/13 139.7, back on my way down. It should be a good day of eating and have a exercise class after work. I have a happy hour with my sorority alum group in the city so going to join for a bit, but will get a club soda since had too much drinking over the weekend and really want a good sleep so can power through the rest of the week and make up for the weekend.
08/14 139.4, busy day at work, but signed up for a spin class with a friend that should hold me accountable. It is harder for me to cancel on a friend at the end of the day, even if I really dislike working out after a long day.
08/15 139.1, almost back to where I was at the end of the last round and hope to see that by Saturday. I have a happy hour tonight at a really nice venue so will save a bulk of my calories for some cheese and wine! Planning on doing 70 minutes at the gym to counter some of the fun I’ll have to tonight
08/16 139, fun night last night but staying home and refraining from drinking this weekend. Glad to be back to where I was at the end of last round.
08/17 138.9, off to the gym for 90 minutes (just elliptical) and then going to finally see spider man before it leaves theaters. Have work to do later tonight so dinner is already prepped at home.
08/18 138.8, in the right direction, but really hoping for a whoosh this or next round since getting impatient with the amount of work I’m doing. I have a feeling it’s going to be this slow for a lot of the remaining 18.8 lbs (happy scale trend is .5 lbs a week now)
08/19 138.6, although I won’t see my goal of 137.5 this week, I am always proud when I show up for myself and work hard. Today’s just another day of following the plan the best I can.
08/20 138.3, happy to see over a lb lost and hope to continue losing weight in Round 87. Taking a boxing class tonight, which is always fun!

8/11 – 177.9 Having a family dinner tonight (steak) so the goal is to keep portion sizes small but still enjoy the meal.
I managed to keep my calories within a good range but the meal was much heavier than I would like. Will see tomorrow how it affected my weight.
8/12 – 177.9 Kept calories low today to see if I can get a drop in numbers tomorrow.
8/13 – 176.4 Will be playing tennis today so fingers crossed for another drop tomorrow.
Activity: (Played 1 ½ hours of singles)
8/14 – 175.0 No Exercise today.
8/15 – 175.5 A small gain. Could have been the spaghetti for dinner or the lack of exercise yesterday. Activity: Played 1 ½ hrs of tennis (doubles) today so hoping for better numbers tomorrow.
8/16 – 174.6 Activity: Tennis (doubles) 2 hrs 15 min
8/17 – 175 Drinks with dinner last night. Hoping I can finish out the weekend with a loss but I usually have a harder time making good decisions on the weekends.
8/18 – 175.9 Going the wrong way!! Date night + Italian food = no will power.
8/19 – 174.6 No activity for the last 2 days. Today’s activity: tennis (doubles) 2 hrs 15 min
8/20 – 173.7 Very happy about the outcome of this first round. I know it will probably be slow going from here on out but this certainly gives me motivation to keep at it.

8/11: 201.6 (+.8) not too bad. Expected far worse. Didn’t make it to the gym yesterday and went over my calories. Had family day and although I weighed all my food and portioned It properly. I gave in at night for ice cream with the family. Today I have a kids bday party. Going to try super hard to be better.
8/12: 200.6 (-1.0) I’m ok with this. I did good yesterday but I didn’t have enough water like I usually do and I also didn’t eat very good. I ate small but I ate crap. I was super exhausted so it threw me off nans I was at a birthday party for kids. So too much was accessible.
8/13: 200.8 (-.2) I’m not sure what happened. I was far under my calories. Had 2 workouts yesterday and drank over a gallon of water. Yesterday was the best I felt in a while. And yet the scale went the wrong way. What the heck!!
8/14: 199.6 (-1.2) yesterday was a pretty good day. Good gym session. Good food choices. Plenty of water. Soccer game at night. I felt really good when u went to sleep and i am content with today’s results. It’s a slow journey but at least I’m on it. Thanks for the support
8/15: 201.0 (+1.4) well I have no idea what’s going on anymore I lower my calorie intake. I’m working out. I’m staying active. I’m not eating late at night. And I’m not making any progress. My new challenge goal is to just get to my starting weight for the challenge.
8/16: 200.8 (-.2) half way done and at my original starting weight. I hope I can maintain or lose.
8/17: 200.8 (+/-0)
8/18: 202.6 (+1.8)
8/19: 201.0 (-1.6) had a rough start to my weekend. And trying to get myself back together. This challenge has been a roller coaster for sure. Just as the last few months have been, my weight shows it. With the help of my accountability partner I think I’m figuring it out on what i need to do to get where I want to be. Maybe not by this challenge. But I hope soon.
8/20: 201.6 (+.6). Well again, gaining when I thought I had a great day. I just don’t get it. It’s probably because I ate late last night. But if I didn’t i would’ve been over 1,000 calories under my goal. I went to the gym and played soccer. So it was a lot of cardio. Guess I’m at a plateau and my body just doesn’t want to weigh less9
