Thanks everyone for your support - just to forwarn, as I have now got a critical deadline for my thesis coming up I am likely to disappear for a week or so. I will try and be good with my food and get as much exercise in as possible but right now I can see a couple of 16 hour days at the computer ahead of me...

OMG - another horrible day. Just worked out that to burn off my excess calories today I would have to do 30DS 5 times!! Still didn't get enough protein or water - probably part of the problem.0

WHO WANTS TO BE A HOT MOM? - GROUP RESULTS, 8/15 Weigh-In
We’ve “whittled” down our numbers, ladies! We started out with 74 members on July 18. Now, 4 weeks later, we are down to 60. A couple of group captains dropped inactive members (those who haven’t checked in for 2 or more weeks). One member is also celebrating a pregnancy and is no longer being tracked.

No group gains this week, and that’s a large improvement from last week! Yay, Hot Moms!!
This chart is SO condensed that it’s difficult to see the personal progress members are making. After 4 weeks, I thought it would be helpful to provide some performance feedback. Let’s use these numbers to better understand where we are and to help us get to where we want to be.
First, let’s recognize the 16 moms who are on track to reach their 12/31/11 goal weights. (Chart organized by group #.)
Special Shout-Out to :flowerforyou: swimmom2 :flowerforyou: for reaching 50% already! You’re half-way there!!
There are also 19 moms who are 50-97% towards their 12/31/11 goal weights. Here they are below:
That leaves us with 25 moms who are 0-49% towards their 12/31/11 goal weights. No reason to list them – they know who they are. This includes me, Hot Moms.
To give you my numbers, my SW was 199.0, and I have lost a grand total of 1.8 lbs since July 18. If I continue down this path, I will lose a total of 10.4 lbs by December 31, which is only 28% of the weight I need to lose to reach my GW. Considering this feedback, I have 2 options: (1) Change my 12/31/11 GW to 188.6 so I can be on track to reach my GW, or (2) Kick it up a notch, eat clean, exercise hard, and start losing more than a pound a week so that I can get to my original 12/31/11 GW. For me, I choose option 2. These past 4 weeks were hard, due to family outings and sickness, so I’m hopeful my numbers will improve. I recognize that there are just under 20 weeks left in the year. I only need to lose 1.6 lbs a week to obtain my GW, so I believe it’s still possible; therefore, my GW stays the same (for now).
Now take a moment to review your numbers. Are you on track? If not, do you want to adjust your 12/31/11 GW? If yes, don’t sweat it! It’s all about using this feedback to help you get where you want to be. Remember, there is no such thing as failure – only feedback; only results.

Hi everyone, great job on the losses
As for me, well after getting down to 139.8 during the week I had a terrible weekend foodwise and am back up again. So no loss for me this week :grumble: Oh well hopefully I will get back under 140 soon!!
I have just finished a 12 week program I have been doing and although I did'nt do as well as I had hoped I have lost over 18 pounds in the 12 weeks and my body shape has really started to change this time around. I just need to keep it up now that the challenge is over.

Hey ladies,
Well, I did a 1 hour walk today on my lunch break. My week has been going well so far. Yesterday was my husbands and one of my co-worker's birthdays so there was cake and icecream. I always make him seafood dinner with his favorites. So needless to say the fried fish and cheesy crab dip was not a help either. Back on track today though. Getting my water in ...

And I'm stoked to find out today that the 138 weigh in wasn't a fluke -- I actually weighed in at 137.8 this morning, so I'm looking forward to seeing a 137 on the scale at my next weigh in... or even lower.
I'm headed out of town tomorrow, and it will probably be a few days before I can check in... but I'll pop in a couple times to say hi if I can!

Another NSV - After doing 30DS level 1 again today (still modified because of my shoulder but it's getting better now) I decided I needed a bit more of a work out so did the Legs & Bums workout from Davina's Power of 3 and OMG! 30DS has made a huge difference as I can now keep up with all the intervals and do all the squats (which is pretty much the whole thing!) It was so much more if a burn than it ever was before!
Had a really good food day although I could have done with some more water - not going to drink it all now as I'm about to go to bed and I really don't want to be up again in a couple of hours to pee!! Thesis is going slowly and my supervisor is out from tomorrow evening to after the first deadline - and he only told me this yesterday. Getting a bit stressed about that...0 -
Good morning hot moms!
Back from hols, I had a good holiday but Im sure I drank/ate my body weight in cider & Pasties (damn you cornwall making such delicious cider and pasties) I didnt get any exercise in either or drink much water. I was back up to 144 this morning but I reckon a couple of days clean eating and lots of water should help by weigh in monday.... I hope so anyway! I literally cant wait to get some exercise in today. I wanted to stick jillian in the machine yesterday but after almost a week of naff all sleep (seriously I dont know how camping can be classed as a holiday.... get me on a beach somewhere hot =P) all I was good for was an eastenders marathon and an early night with hubby! Just waiting for the kids to get up now so I can crack on!!

Weigh in day today.... 143.2 for me. Gain but given the week I had i'll take that. Hopefully I'll be down to my pre holiday weight by next weigh in. I've got my fingers crossed the loss will be more
Back to normal today. I've done the day 1 of the shred (again...:laugh: ) 10 minutes of pilates and now im off to shower get the kids ready to go to their aunties for a sleep over before heading off to work. Tonight the hubby and I are actually going out together childless in what I can only think is the first time in AT LEAST 6 months. Cinema and a meal. Today I will mostly be eating soup to fill me up so I have some extra calories to spend tonight. I might even try and get another work out in before we go!!

So sad to report that I weigh in this morning with a .8 gain. Weighed in at 139.6 :sad: I know its just water weight due to too much sodium, diet cokes and no water. :grumble: So hopefully this week Ill flush it all out!!!0

Happy Monday Mamas. Just finished my gym workout, (Elliptical and a body Sculpt class) 853 cals burned. Now it's time to press play on TurboFire fire45EZ and stretch 10. Burning off all the s'mores I ate this weekend.

Hi everyone
Well I have had a week off logging so I am not weighing this week, will just leave my weight same as last week although I know I will have gained.
I had been almost to the point of just giving up and being happy with where I am now even though I still have a way to go. I started out at over 200 pounds so at around 140 feels pretty good, but I don't want to give up, I have worked so hard for so long to not get to my goal weight and be really happy with my weight. I think I will be more likely to maintain it if I get to my goal as well. So I decided to have a week off, not count calories or log at all and to eat what I wanted. I did go a little crazy over the weekend, even had a few drinks on Saturday night which is the first time in ages. Lots of yummy naughty nibblies went with the drinks and I really enjoyed it!!
So I'm back to it as of yesterday, I only have 10-15 pounds to go, I adjusted my diary so now I have 1450 instead of 1200 calories :bigsmile: it does'nt really worry me if it takes till the end of the year to lose those last pounds!! I am also determined to become a runner, have been trying to love it like some people seem to for a while now but its just not happening!! I want to do a 5km fun run by the end of the year. I know I can do it, I ran 5km on the treadmill at the gym yesterday (and walked another 1.5 for warm up/cool down) I am just really slow and can't seem to commit to it. I will run one day and then not again for another week or so, have to get into a better routine. The weather is starting to improve here (bring on Summer!!) and it certainly does make me want to get outside so hopefully I will be able to start running more.
Hopefully by next week I will at least be back to where I was, I am trying my hardest not to get on the scales, I am usually a daily weigher so it is hard, might have a peek tomorrow because that is my usual weigh day for the challenge I had been doing that finished last week (I lost about 18 pounds all up over the 12 weeks this time so pretty happy with that).
It seems we had a few gains this week, well done to those who lost :happy:

I am going to back out of the challenge because as it is now I don't have much time to log in. The kids start school tomorrow and their fall activities are also going to start back up. It has been fun going this far with you guys!!

Another interesting week! Sometimes we lose together, and we gain together.
Here's a quick summary of the past 5 weeks.
We have fewer and fewer members reporting each week, and as a result, our weekly weigh-ins are suffering. We seem to have lost that Week 1 & Week 2 momentum, where each group saw BIG numbers. Now we're not even averaging a 1/2 lb per member weekly weight loss!
Many of us had end of the summer barbecues, as well as school start days for our kids. Life's been busy, and our schedules are changing. It's time to regroup and refocus!
Let's make this week our new "Week 1." Jump in with the same GUNG HO you had 5 weeks ago!

Hello Ladies - just popping in to say Hi and weigh in (although I really didn't want to tell you as I have gained )
Current weight 142.5 lbs - the combination of completely falling off the wagon due to my thesis, huge amounts of junk and snacks and a big weekend (in-laws 50th Wedding Anniversary celebrations!)
Got to give my thesis first priority so will be back when the first draft is in. Really missing this so that's a great incentive to getting my thesis done!
I will try and remember to weigh in on Monday and after that will hopefully be able to get back to my 30DS and walking at least.

Happy Friday ladies. Where has everyone been this week???
I know this week has been tough on me. I keep going up and down the same 3-4 pounds and it is frustrating the heck out of me! I think I need to really start focusing more on measurements and body fat % than the scale right now. I have been doing lots of weights and I think that is changing things up for me. Don't get me wrong, I still REALLY want to lose more weight, but it's time to switch things up and see what happens. I'm going to give it 2 solid weeks of zig zagging my calories and see what happens.

Today I weighed in @134.
Thats a big gain!!! I knew this was coming. I've been under everyday for a week + but have had more sweet than usual with birthday parties ect. I lost quite a bit while doing my cleanse and that is was got me to the 131.6.
Today is the start of a new week & I am going to kick it's booty!!

Hey everyone,
After my terrible couple of weeks and taking a little break from logging I have finally gotten back down to where I was before the break.
So this week I weigh in at 139.3, a little loss compared to my last weigh in but a huge loss compared to the weight I got up to when I was not counting calories :blushing: tomorrow is my official weigh day and I am doing my "accelorator day" today (low carb) so I am looking forward to see what the scales say tomorrow. This month has been a bit up and down for me, I seem to have lost and gained the same couple of pounds all month, gets a bit frustrating :grumble:

Erykah, love the new picture!! Looking good :happy: , I must get around to putting up a before and after picture. My old computer died and that had all of the horrid before pictures so now I have to scan some pictures onto my new laptop.
Shyloh01, I think I will lower my goal to 125 lbs eventually. I started with my goal at 160 and it has just kept going lower :laugh: Keep up the great work!!
Macksmama, I had a similar gain last week but I did'nt even count it as I had taken the week off counting calories, I just felt I needed a break from it all. It has dropped off pretty quickly once I got back on track!! I'm sure you will find the same :happy:
I'm thinking of signing up for a fun run, I know I can do the distance, I ran 5km on the treadmill at the gym yesterday. I am just really slow :laugh: not sure if I should give it a few months and try to increase my speed or just go for it now and come in last, although the 5km is a walk/run so surely I would'nt be last if people are walking it!! I am going to try to get up early tomorrow morning as my Husband has a couple of days off and go for a run outside to see how I manage, I know running outside is totally different from running on the treadmill. I find my knees are not holding up very well to the running, darn old age!! Still trying to stick with it.....I will learn to love running, I WILL learn to love running

We have lost over 200 pounds!!
Here's a quick summary of the past 6 weeks. I re-did the numbers to account for all the late check-ins.
Way to knock it out of the park!! As a group, we lost more pounds this week than the previous 4 weigh-ins! This is going to make a HUGE difference in reaching our goal weights by New Year’s.
Is anyone wondering what happened to Group 5? Their captain hasn’t checked in since August 1, and they only had a couple of members who checked in regularly. Their posts were fewer and coming days apart, and I was afraid we’d lose them. Group 7 “adopted” the active Group 5 members – :flowerforyou: many THANKS to Group 5's captain, wanna_be_fit!!:flowerforyou: And look what happened when the groups joined together!
As a combined group, these ladies are losing more together than they were apart! And they are more active on their group postings as well. Having a larger active group can make a big difference. If you want to see how the other groups are doing, then check out their threads below.

Sorry - late weigh in for me due to still being stressed about my thesis as it's not done yet.
Weight 142.25 lbs - not good but once the thesis is done I'll be back on track. Also got an appt with dr on Friday to see if I can come off my meds (which have been contributing to my weight gain) which will really help!
I'll be back on by next Thursday as next Wednesday is my final oral presentation of my thesis and my last official act as a student!! Then I'll be unemployed (so will have plenty of time to work out!!)0 -

Youre doing great Shy!!! I weigh in today at 137. Lost .6 of a pound. I havnt lost ANY inches in the last 3 weeks though! Whats up with that? lol I measure everything but my thighs but I dont want my thighs to get smaller!
