Starting Weight Feb 2019: 184lbs
Current Weight: 139lbs
I was a size UK 14-16 in February this year. I bought a pair of UK10 jeans recently, thinking “There’s no way these will fit me but I like them so I’ll put them away until I can fit into them” BUT...they fit perfectly. I can’t believe I’m back in a size 10. I don’t know why it is but I still see myself as bigger than what I truly am. Everyone else can see it but I can’t. I really hope that changes 😞21 -

My engagement ring came off my finger. I didn’t feel it. Thankfully I heard the ping when it hit the tile. Both my engagement and wedding rings are safely in a box in my nightstand. I’ll get them resized when I hit my goal.22

Squeaked into a healthy BMI and liked the way I looked in a full body photo. Also, I weigh less than my husband now.31

Yesterday, as part my exercise day I walked 11 laps on the walk/jog track at fitness center I go to. Signs posted there say 11.25 laps equals 1 mile! I cannot remember the last time I comfortably did or was EVEN ABLE to do that! And it was just the start of what was 80 minutes worth. The rest was downstairs in pool.25

Went thrifting yesterday. Picked up a sweater that I liked but had no size because it had gotten taken off by the previous own. Thought "well, it looks like it might be a bit tight, but I'll try it on just to make sure."
It was too loose. Bought it as a bum around sweater 'cause it was cute.19 -
Completed a half marathon yesterday in 1:52:26 which was over 5 min under my goal time. This was my thrid completed. 1st 2006 ~2:15, 2nd 2014 ~2:03 and this year 2109 at 1:52:26. I have had 2 kids in that time and am clearly faster now than I have been in a while. Feeling great25

We have a Chevy Malibu. I always hated driving it because it was difficult to get in and out of. I had noticed it was easier to drive(still like my van better) but the big thing was we went to pick up my mother in law to go shopping I decided to try and ride in the back so she would be more comfortable. I hadn't ever been able to buckle the seatbelt in the back until yesterday. It felt amazing25

We went to a MLB game this weekend. We had to walk from the hotel to the shuttle station and it was up and down a steep hill. I was the only one not complaining about the burn! We had some 20 year olds with us that couldn't keep up. I was pretty stoked at my own 40+ self not being out of breath. I even walked around the entire stadium twice- just for kicks and giggles. Yay me!26

Yesterday while at church, I laid my open Bible on my lap. Usually I have to hang onto it to keep it from slipping off my lap because my stomach takes up so much lap room. But this time, my Bible had just enough room without me needing to keep it in place. A small victory, but I look for them wherever I can find them!42

I had an eight level thoracic fusion surgery in May and am still recovering 4 months later. Probably another 3 to 6 months before I am fully healed and released from doctor's care. My recent non-scale victories include being able to ride my bicycle again, doing PT and hitting the gym for swimming, biking, and doing my "home exercise program" there. I have also worked on creating a pain management protocol. With this kind of surgery and the pain and inflammation that comes with it, it can be very easy to end up on heavy duty pain medication. Instead, I start with ice, heat, exercise, a back brace to protect my lower back during housework, laundry, and working in the kitchen, natural remedies like turmeric, anti-inflammatory diet, and rosehip tea to lower pain and inflammation, Arthritis strength Tylenol, and a very low dose of gabapentin. So far, this is working pretty well and I have been able to avoid narcotic drugs, their side effects, and the risk of addiction. I am down 15 pounds from my pre-surgery weight, which is a nice bonus.24

So excited about this NSV! I haven't been able to wear my wedding rings for about 8 months now since, even with the little bar the jeweler put inside the ring, they would fly off my finger. I bought a simple band to wear about that time until I was ready to get my wedding rings resized. When the band started flying off my finger I figured it was time to get this taken care of. My rings were a 9.5 and the band was an 8. I just had my rings resized - they are now a 6.5 I still have about 25lbs to go, hope they still fit when I get there!22

Yay! Hope your team won! A week ago, I went to Sunday Night Baseball featuring the Phillies and Mets. I was at ballpark exactly one year ago that night. I was struggling to move and needed a roller walker to get around. I had to buy ticket for "accessible seating" cause I would not have been able to negotiate steps to and from seat very well. On this night, I semi-intentionally bought a ticket in same section and walked and every step I took was completely unaided! I came across a stadium staff who told me she worked the section a year ago. I don't think she remembered me, but she was nice enough to play along while I basked in my post hip replacements progress. Oh, and the Phils won that night! 🙂17 -
it has been a year since I lost weight and people are still saying have you lost weight? I lost 30 lbs but it looks like a lot when you are short. I will miss the compliments but enjoying them now.16

I made myself stay away from the giant vanilla cake in the break room last week. Someone is always putting sweets in there and it is a challenge to walk past and not have some. I just have to remind myself that it's not usually worth the calories.20

Went to American Eagle yesterday to try on some jeans. Got a bunch of 14s to try thinking they might be too small. Well the legs felt a little loose so thought I’d try the 12 to see how much more I’d have to lose to fit them and oh my gosh the 12s FIT! I have never in my life fit into a size 12 pair of pants!!! 70 lbs down never felt so good43

Love it when you are fitter than the youngsters! And we do the same thing at the stadiums - walk around and check the view from all areas. Burn off some of those beer calories at the same time!

1. My cholesterol is in the normal range for the first time in 13 years.
2. I bought and fit into a nightie from Victoria's Secret
3. I bought some fall outerwear in XL fully expecting it not to fit, and it fits great!
4. My pant size no longer includes a W at the end of the sizing

A NSV I am sharing and a true example of a lifestyle change.I have a friend doing this journey with me. Which has been amazing at keeping us on track. This weekend we got together... old us would have gone to an amazing restaurant and ate carb loaded food, drank sugary cocktails and followed it by dessert. This weekend we went to a nearby state park and hiked for hours. It was an amazing day38

I pushed myself harder while cycling today and kept the pace up for the duration of my workout. I felt great afterwards! I credit my new speed to the fact that I’ve stuck to my exercise routine for over a month. That’s a big NSV for me because exercising consistently has been a challenge for me. It’s starting to feel like a habit now!22
