11: 221.8 Still going strong with my eating choices. Haven't gotten back to exercising yet. I thought I'd start a couple days ago, but I think I need to start the day my kids go to their dad's. Maybe I can get a few days in to restart the habit while I don't have so much other stuff to juggle.
12: 223.8 YIKES!! I expected a gain, but maybe not that much. It's all good though. It'll be down again within a few days. I enjoyed some thin crust veggie pizza at my daughter's soccer game. I didn't overeat, but it was definitely a calorie bomb.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Lose 2-3 pounds. Increased my calorie count to 1500 and including Carb and Calorie Cycling this time.

After reaching a 75lb loss, personal and family stressors became way too exhausting back in June and I practically LEAPED off the wagon. Sad to say, but comfort food was my only solace w/ all my time and energy dedicated to everyone other than myself. After a summer of very little exercise and LOTS and lots of carb and sugar consumption for sanity's sake, I've regained 19 pounds ... all in my midsection, hips and thighs of course .... uggghhh.
Weaning myself from pasta alfredo, peanut butter cups and white chocolate M&Ms since Monday, still going through withdrawal, but the worst is over. Finally feel back in control of my eating and ready to jump back in.

09/10 β 187.4 β Up to start, but no surprise. Yesterday was exhausting, and I didnβt make the best food choices. Did much better today. Walked to the lake with my grandson after school, delighting in the easy conversation and the beauty of the late summer meadow. Now Iβve got the kettle on for some herb tea and will grade a few more assignments after I post this. Hope to get enough done that I can go down to the beach for a bit tomorrow.
09/11 β 186.0 β That looks better. Somber morning, but I did get to the beach after class. Didnβt get much walking in, but I had a lovely lunch with my mom, sister, and daughter.
09/12 β 185.2 β Another nice drop. I suppose itβs the rest of the water gain from earlier in the week. No time to walk before the rain started, but I logged and met my calorie goal.
09/13 β 184.4 β Surprised to see another drop, but I did have a pretty big water drop in the first few days after my long vacation in June. During that trip, I got a lot of extra exercise most days to offset the extra calories. After shedding retained water, it looked like I might even have lost a bit during my 3 Β½ weeks away. This past vacation wasnβt very active, but I tried to keep an eye on portion sizes and balance the indulgences with some lighter meals. And it appears to have worked! Itβs reassuring to see that I can maintain some good habits and accountability even during a break from logging and daily weighing. Thatβs really motivating!

Hi. My name is Trina. I've been back on MFP for a little over a year now, am down 69 pounds and just 2 pounds from my revised goal weight! Closing in on those final pounds!! I skipped town at the end of Round 86 to head north, visit my mom and drop my middle son off at college. Mom travelled back with me on the slow dilly dally route. She was going to stay thru my surgery, but....surgery date finally got scheduled for 9/24. So she will fly back to Connecticut tomorrow, my husband will take a week off after my surgery (double mastectomy) and then my mom will come back for 3-4 weeks just before he goes back to work. I have been exercising and eating mindfully the last two rounds, but haven't been logging food. I should get back to that, but I was happy to see that I've been sticking right around 129-130 the past week. Good luck everyone!

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 89 (round 21 for me ) I'm in for another round, tomorrow will be the only day I weigh in though as I fly off for 10 days holiday tomorrow afternoon, I'm back 21st just in time for the next challenge!! Although not weighing, I'll still try to check in each day and read all the posts.

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight β I'm working at it β it's a permanent way of life !

09/10 133.2 β 7 miles walked yesterday; rain curtailed for most of the day . Later we fly out to Crete so I don't think I will be able to weigh whilst away, but I'll check in everyday if I can.
09/11 DNW - 5 miles walked yesterday mostly round the airport! macros very slightly over, difficult to control when not self preparing meals ! Oh and scales in my room, but don't work, need new batteries, I've put request in to maintenance!!
09/12 DNW - no scale batteries yet. Walked 8.39 miles yesterday, some along the beach, estimated 150 calories over goal.
09/13 134.0 - 11.77 miles walked yesterday - what's truly bizarre is the fact that the vain person that I am whilst on holiday I'm wearing my Fitbit on my belt loop so I don't get a white mark on wrist, it's recording the walks as outdoor biking, but still counting the steps?????? Sodium over, but all other macros in green.

I was feeling kind of bloaty and puffy this am so didn't expect the drop but I'm glad because I was starting to get nervous that this wasn't going to work for me. (I know CICO is science and thus works for everyone, but the time it takes to see the trend and the bouncing weight levels makes me think it's not working and then I get sloppy and then it really doesn't work. Lol)
09/12 193 (+1.4). Ugh always with the up and down! 18K steps and workout yesterday. Was super hungry so ate most of my exercise calories back.
09/13 192.4 (-0.6) wine and chips and dessert after dinner last night. Still a small deficit but not much of one. Back to healthier choices today.
09/14 193.8 (1.4) ok I keep saying I'm going to clean up my food but then I just.... don't? And then complain when I don't lose? Lol. Last night was wings, poutine, wine, chips. I DID do my workout though so there's that. Anyhow. No surprise on this jump

9/10 193.5 lbs 6h51m/83/10:45pm - great workout, but work didn't go well. Late to eat dinner, but good sleep. Kind of a mixed bag....
9/11 194.6 lbs 6h32m/77/10:36pm - super sore in my quads & hammies, this may be water retention in the muscles. I didn't use my foam roller, which I should have. Bad night sleeping because of another bad day at work. Combat tonight... should help.
9/12 194.4 lbs 6h50m/83/10:22pm - bad day, good sleep. Training this am BEFORE work. Generally feeling frustrated but hoping to turn it around today.
9/13 193.5 lbs 6h27m/83/10:42pm. MUCH better... good day at work, great workout, good sleep. Was so sore, so I stretched everything, right there in the office... lol. Helped a ton, feel pretty good right now!
9/14 192.4 lbs!!!! 6h15m/71/12:00am - Is it possible I can make goal this round? πͺπ

@chefsam5000 ... very nice! I agree 1500 is too low for you... unless you eat back exercise calories. I have also played with calorie and macros, and have set a customized schedule. You're definitely back with a vengeance! π»2
