10/1: 223.6 (-0.6/18.9 (-0.1). Spent the day at Magic Mountain with my 78-year-old dad. The guy LOVES roller coasters. I was feeling a bit nauseous by the end of the day, partially because I'm still recovering from illness the week before. Still, super-fun day; I walked a ton, and I am pretty sure I was under on calories when considering exercise.

@Brad__16 Welcome! Try not to be too aggressive with your goals, 8 lbs in 10 days isn't a healthy rate of loss. I always think that any downward momentum on the scale is a victory, and generally don't push myself too much on time-based goals.8 -

10/1 165.9 Went to the gym and lifted weights, maybe that's the water retention? I haven't lifted in 2 weeks so maybe. I upped the weight on my legs and they are sore this morning! I have errands to run after work, but I hope it will be cool enough after that to get in a walk before dark. I am so ready to be in the 15Xs. My friend Mark that has been staying with me since July 9th is leaving today. I will have my house back and he will be on the next leg of his journey. Now I need to deal with the roommate that I'm going to ask to move out. It will be very stressful. She has lived with me for 3 years. She didn't have a job until I told her last year in September she had to do certain things to stay:
1. Get a job
2. Get mental health assistance
3. Get her van running
4. Clean her stuff out of my garage
5. Start paying rent and contributing to the house.
She had lived for free for two years at that time. She's got a job now but has only given me $200 in six months and we agreed the rent would be $300 a month. I told her I could wait until she got her van fixed before charging rent. She didn't do it. She has bought groceries a few times but nothing else. She is a mental and financial drain on me that I have been accepting because she has no place to go and she's my best friend but I cannot continue to do it. I thought last year's conversation would have been a wake-up call.
I know this has nothing to do with weight loss other than stress. She makes annoying comments about me losing weight and exercising. She will try to be helpful too - sometimes but the snide remarks get tiresome. I realized that I'm putting up with behavior that I would NEVER put up from a man/partner. I feel bad because her kids aren't going to support her because she's drinking now that she has money. I wouldn't buy her alcohol before she had a job so she was sober for two years, the kids got used to sober Mom and have zero patience with drinking Mom. She will lash out at me and at them. Sorry for the TMI but I'm at my wit's end.11 -

@shunggie If it were me, I would have a conversation that she cannot make excuses around. She can try to explain away her lack of money or contributing, her vehicle problems that haven't been addressed etc. etc. I would just tell her its time to go because you need your privacy back. Period. Give her a time frame and let her know if she hasn't made arrangements by then, she will have to get her own family's help. "I love you but......"5 -

09/30- 149 I’m up almost 2lbs overnight because I ate extra calories and 3x’s as much sugar yesterday. Crossing my fingers it goes down dramatically tomorrow.
10/01- 149, still holding on at a high point. Today is my anniversary and my husband is planning a nice (mostly healthy) dinner. I have a full day of gardening and a kickboxing class on my schedule so I can enjoy it.10/02

@deepwoodslady Time frames are what I'm thinking about now. What is reasonable? 30 days? 60 days? Then it's the holidays. I'm a sap, I want to make it as easy on her as possible because she's not a bad person she's just an alcoholic with mental health issues. If you met her, you'd like her. My plan was to say something like, I want our friendship to continue but that will not happen if you continue to live here. You need to find a place by the end of November (?). I will help you move and make this as easy as possible but it's time for you to start taking care of yourself.
Is November too soon? It will be Thanksgiving - nothing says thankfulness like kicking your friend to the curb. I know I'm doing the right thing but it feels mean.2 -

Did really well in the last round. Hoping to finally hit a new decade this round. I am so close to my ultimate goal, but it seems so far away at the same time. I have to be so careful with everything to be able to lose at this point, so I am going to work really hard. My goal is to hit 139 at least a couple of times this round and continue to bring my 10 day avg down at least another pound.

9/30 - 145.9 not off to a great start. We drank a lot yesterday and did a lot of snacking on foods that I normally wouldn't eat. Tons of carbs/sodium and beer were consumed all day. Tailgating and watching the Cowboys game with the hubby made for a great Sunday though. Now to get back on track and get somewhere this round. I am getting to old to party like we used to, I feel terrible today and I am just hoping to get my water in. I have a feeling it will an early night for me.
10/1 - 146.5 I have no idea what's going on. I had a medication change that started Saturday, so maybe I am holding onto some water or something or maybe this is the rest of my Sunday's bounce. I know I did splurge a little to much, but geez, I don't think 5.6 pounds worth by any means. I better not see it go up again tomorrow, it will eventually drop, I just have to be patient.

Round 91 – Sept. 30 to Oct. 9
Female, 5’, 66 years. Goals – finish calorie log each day, only yogurt or fruit in the evening and nothing after 9 p.m. SW – 162.4, GW – 160.8, UGW – 140. (This really should be 125 or 130 but that seems like such a long ways to go and 140 would be a huge improvement.)
Saw 161.8 a couple of times last round, then self-sabotaged and ended up at 162.4. This round ends with company arriving – daughter and son-in-law and 7 kids for 3 or 4 days. So lots and cooking and prep during this round.

9/30- 206.4: Not sure what my weight was yesterday morning, so I ended last round at the weight Saturday morning and going from there. I had a really good weekend, but I wasn't feeling too good. Kind of forgot to eat at some points because I got really busy with stuff. Last night's dinner I did eat healthy with a small mix of some rice and a baked potato, but I'm not super upset about my 1lb gain. I did get into the gym Friday night and I'm going again today.
10/1- 206.2: Not a terrible way to start the new month, but wish I was seeing more loss. Didn't go to the gym yesterday because I was feeling so out of it. Started wearing contacts and they are killing my eyes and making me feel tired. I did push myself to take my dog for a walk, so I got some cardio in. Breakfast and lunch haven't been a problem for me, it's dinner that keeps messing me up. It will be mostly healthy and then one thing on the side is messing me up. I should go back to my baked salmon and just stick to that.

09/30--207.2 Surprised about the slight drop since I'm so sore from my workout yesterday. Plan is to take the dog out for a long walk and to get my water in.
10/01--207.6 I'm disappointed, not in the bump in the scale because that can happen for a number of reasons that are out of my control, but more because I had a second snack yesterday even though I wasn't hungry and even though I had set my goal this round for only one snack. This disappointment is going to encourage me to stick with my goal for the rest of the round. Went out with a short hike with hubby and the dog yesterday, it was a perfect fall day. I'm still sore, so I will probably just take the dog out for an easy walk after dinner.

I forgot that I had an NSV I did not report this morning. I accidentally put on a pair of pants that I thought was something I had been wearing recently, but it felt tight. I totally could have worn it today, but I decided to check the tag. 34-inch waist, when I have been wearing (since putting on a ton of weight) pants/shorts with a 36- or 38-inch waist. I opted to go for some pants that are actually comfortable, but it was nice to know that I have made some progress (previously could NOT get those pants buttoned... not even close).
Gotta take those positives whenever they rear their beautiful heads. I also got my new 65" 4K TV mounted to the wall yesterday.10 -
I am not sure how this will go but I will willing to enjoy the adventure of something new.
