9/30- 206.4: Not sure what my weight was yesterday morning, so I ended last round at the weight Saturday morning and going from there. I had a really good weekend, but I wasn't feeling too good. Kind of forgot to eat at some points because I got really busy with stuff. Last night's dinner I did eat healthy with a small mix of some rice and a baked potato, but I'm not super upset about my 1lb gain. I did get into the gym Friday night and I'm going again today.
10/1- 206.2: Not a terrible way to start the new month, but wish I was seeing more loss. Didn't go to the gym yesterday because I was feeling so out of it. Started wearing contacts and they are killing my eyes and making me feel tired. I did push myself to take my dog for a walk, so I got some cardio in. Breakfast and lunch haven't been a problem for me, it's dinner that keeps messing me up. It will be mostly healthy and then one thing on the side is messing me up. I should go back to my baked salmon and just stick to that.

Goal: 1 snack in the evening
Day/Weight/Comment
09/30--207.2 Surprised about the slight drop since I'm so sore from my workout yesterday. Plan is to take the dog out for a long walk and to get my water in.
10/01--207.6 I'm disappointed, not in the bump in the scale because that can happen for a number of reasons that are out of my control, but more because I had a second snack yesterday even though I wasn't hungry and even though I had set my goal this round for only one snack. This disappointment is going to encourage me to stick with my goal for the rest of the round. Went out with a short hike with hubby and the dog yesterday, it was a perfect fall day. I'm still sore, so I will probably just take the dog out for an easy walk after dinner.

I forgot that I had an NSV I did not report this morning. I accidentally put on a pair of pants that I thought was something I had been wearing recently, but it felt tight. I totally could have worn it today, but I decided to check the tag. 34-inch waist, when I have been wearing (since putting on a ton of weight) pants/shorts with a 36- or 38-inch waist. I opted to go for some pants that are actually comfortable, but it was nice to know that I have made some progress (previously could NOT get those pants buttoned... not even close).
Gotta take those positives whenever they rear their beautiful heads. I also got my new 65" 4K TV mounted to the wall yesterday.10 -

Day/Weight/Comment
09/30126.4 **I'm in maintenance?!** Is this real?! Yes, I now find myself here, having revised my original Ultimate Goal Weight upward from 123 because I feel (and look, I think?) good at around 127. My original UGW was based on what I could recall from before I gained weight, though I now recall that I was approaching a bit too skinny at 5'7" and 124. I'm very small boned, but my current weight feels comfortable, so I'm going with that. What now? Where's my diploma and graduation party? Ha.
Okay, the plan is to *continue* (1) Logging and weighing food (2) Monitoring calories and experimenting with a slightly higher range IF I gain consistently (3) Eating between 12-8 p.m. What got me to maintenance should keep me in maintenance, right? I will also *begin* (4) Gentle toning exercises. C'est tout!
10/01126.4 First, I'm proud to report that I started my toning yesterday by doing a few slooow squats every time I got up to go to the bathroom. Second, I realized that the insights gained over these months of highly introspective mini-journaling here in this group should be revisited in maintenance, or I risk losing them. So starting tomorrow, I'm going to start combing through my old rounds (all saved on my phone) for insights/still-relevant epiphanies. I know it'll help me stay focused, and hopefully, will help someone else. Reading everyone's posts sure helps me, anyway!

9/30 - 154.5 - starting to settle into life with my oldest baby here. I’ve missed having time with her and she’s going through a stressful time, so we’re going to work it together. She has done keto in the past, and felt better, so I’m hoping she will do it with me now. Today we had a nice dinner out. Shared a plate at my FAVORITE Mexican place, and ate all the non-keto & enjoyed an “adult beverage”. Junk food is out now. We both have a lot to accomplish in the next 2 months before my lease ends!
10/1 (work) - 156.5 - popcorn at the movie 2 days ago & Mexican food last night. The bonding with my “baby” is worth any cost.9 -

09/29 …..192.2….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
09/30 …..192.0….. A nice little drop I didn’t expect. Yesterday I was more hungry than usual & I went back for seconds on my keto recipe I was prepping for freezer. I cheated a touch with my “diet food”! So much better than a binge. I hope those old bingeing days are gone forever. However, I am traveling again today until tonight. For me, Every trip is like a vacation into the land of food & activity as compared to my very remote town. I’m longing to see the 180’s soon so I will try to be mindful. Pray for me! Yesterday’s stats: 1299 Calories In / 2683 Calories Out. 39 Net Carbs mainly spaghetti squash Lasagna. 15,245 Total Steps & 6.45 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 1 minute. Horray! I walked for 76 minutes in my neighborhood. I found a small trail along the river near the boat launch & explored its beauty for 47 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 609. Good luck everyone this round.
10/01 …..194.4 ….. After travel weigh-in. I showed a little more restraint but still need to work on the travel downfalls. Logged as honest & best I could. Clearly CICO is not the only factor in weight gain/loss. At least for me. 1690 Calories In / 2683 Calories Out. 153 Carbs. 16,586 Total Steps & 7.02 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 4 hours & 40 minutes and woke up so very tired (typical after carb overload). I walked 1 hour & 43 minutes when I got home (on rugged terrain) burning an extra 620 calories trying to work off that stupid donut I chose to have while out-of-town. While food may be necessary, a donut is NOT. I made myself earn it when I got home.

30: 222.0 I expected a gain this morning, maybe not quite so much though. I went to a fundraising meat raffle at a local bar and grill. Drank some red wine. I opted to cheat ordering deep fried pickles. Figured chicken wings would be a decent choice considered the menu options, but they had breading on them (usually bone-in wings don't around here). It all added up, but I had a lot of fun. I am glad that I don't frequent places that have an entire menu of unhealthy foods though. I'm also glad this is at the beginning of the round rather than the end.

@deepwoodslady Time frames are what I'm thinking about now. What is reasonable? 30 days? 60 days? Then it's the holidays. I'm a sap, I want to make it as easy on her as possible because she's not a bad person she's just an alcoholic with mental health issues. If you met her, you'd like her. My plan was to say something like, I want our friendship to continue but that will not happen if you continue to live here. You need to find a place by the end of November (?). I will help you move and make this as easy as possible but it's time for you to start taking care of yourself.
Is November too soon? It will be Thanksgiving - nothing says thankfulness like kicking your friend to the curb. I know I'm doing the right thing but it feels mean.
@shunggie Your friend sounds like a very nice person who is going thru a rough patch. It is your responsibility to be as good a friend as you can, however, it is not JUST your responsibility. She has adult kids (it sounds like) and a family too. At some point, even if she doesn't want to, it is their turn. My opinion, since you asked is that the end of November is too long. It really will be too close to Christmas for comfort. I would go no longer than the middle of November, and let her know you are making plans with family/friends etc for Thanksgiving & Christmas and can no longer let your stay. Sometimes being a very very good friend is not enabling her, but encouraging her. It may feel a bit harsh now, but given enough notice, hopefully she will not feel "kicked out". Clearly you love her as a friend & she does sound great. If she loves you, she'll understand your need for space & privacy, especially during the holidays. It's her families turn. More than likely they are willing, she just doesn't want to be where she may not be able to drink. Your decision may help her more than you even realize. Someday, she may even thank you.
The choices are yours to make and, of course, I support you in any decision you decide. Prayers & hugs to you!7 -
58yo Female, 141.5 lbs, 5'6
Final Goal: 132 lbs
Hoping to lose 0.5 lb a week
I started a new job in May, gained 10 lbs, quit exercising, and have been drinking to manage stress. I feel like crap. I'm hoping to get back to more healthy living. My plan is daily tracking 1400-1500 calories daily, Sober October, daily walks, and hopefully the gym.
09/30, 141.5, bought nutritious food, planning my meals so I don't get hungry and overeat. Threw out the wine, and am drinking fruit water instead.
10/01, 141.5, stayed within calorie limit, no booze. Ate that healthy food, and gawd was is boring. But it's just 10 days.

Day/Weight/Comment
09/30 – 184.6 – Big post-weekend bounce, thanks to the yummy (and salty!) clam pizza my husband and I shared last night. I think I’m finally getting used to my body’s response to extra sodium, so I’m trying to take those temporary water gains in stride. To be honest, when DH suggested pizza, my first thought was about how the salt would affect Monday morning’s weigh-in. But I’m glad I said yes. We had a relaxing evening, and the water weight will be gone in a couple of days.
10/01 – 183.4 – Voila! Water gain from the pizza is gone, and I’m back to my Round 91 starting weight. Late meeting, but I didn’t want to do take-out again. Only managed a tiny walk (15 minutes) after work, but I made it home in time to roast a spaghetti squash and throw together a quick veggie chilli to top it. The leftovers will buy me some time for a longer walk later this week. Stayed under my calorie limit even with a LNS of a lemon bar and tea – “fuel” to help me power through tonight’s stack of student essays.

09/30: 95 lbs
10/01: 95.4 Not sure why I gained had a great day yesterday calorie and exercise wise though my food choices sucked. It's likely a fluctuation so I'm not worried, it should trend down. Today was decent I made healthier eating choices and ate a bit less. Didn't go to the gym today since my whole body was sore from my first workout class yesterday but ended up walking over 7km and burning that way. I love walking (: Am hoping to see loss tmrw *fingers crossed* proud of my progress still though 😊
