I comfortably did a 10km walk this morning, in less than 2 hours - and really enjoyed it! 🏃🏼♀️28

Life has been not good the past few weeks. But tonight, I'm going to celebrate my NSV's, even the repetitive ones, any way I can think of, to bring in a little light & chase off the darkness:
1. I'm now close to my 50 days in a row logging mark. During the past couple of weeks, I think I still only went over calories one day, and it was by very little. All other days have again been well under. As other folks have mentioned, building habits when you are feeling strong is what keeps you going when you are feeling weak. I'm so grateful for those habits right now. One step at a time, over and over again.
2. I bought a second food scale so that I can have one both at home and at work. When a co-worker gently teased me about my insistence on precise measurements, I informed her "I have the power!" in my best He-Man voice (which is admittedly not great due to the whole being female with a fairly high pitched voice and no acting talent thing, but hey, viva la 80's )
3. Some days it feels like I'll never get to my goal, but today I crunched the numbers and reminded myself, I'm almost 20% of the way there. That's not nuthin'.
4. Recently I began feeling fully secure enough to believe that fewer calories in than out really works for me. Even though my rational brain always understood that, there was the illogical, fearful little corner that always secretly believed that somehow, I'll be the odd creature that defies all natural laws and gets fatter just by breathing air. Nope. Air is air, and the cowardly negative chatterbox in the back of my mind can just zip it.42 -

Awesome.

I’m a little hungry, both physically as well as wanting to tuck into something cozy. But it’s 11pm and I’ve made the decision to go to bed even though I’ve got the calories to spare from my workout today.
Huge win for me right now!27 -
I bought a pair of beautiful shoes when I hit one of my mini targets last month.
So last night, when I went out to watch a friend's band, I wore the ludicrously pretty, towering high heels and they looked fabulous.
I'm still too heavy to wear them comfortably for any long period of time but heels! High ones! *Excited*25 -
Completing at least 30 minutes of proper exercise for the past 17 days in a row. Apple Watch is very happy with me right now! 4am alarm is not so delighted...27

The scale might not be moving much, but went down a notch in the belt. I'll take that NSV.41

At Pilates, I always try to do extra sets, extra roll ups while others catch up, use the ultra-fit ring, and do the hardest variations. When given three options for teaser, I always do all three, instead of choosing one.
So last night, we were finishing up with a wall-sit, and the young, slender girl next to me leans over and whispers, "I want to be you when I grow up." I was so astonished I just burst out laughing at her.
My other NSV is, confusion folding my new underwear this morning. The leg holes are almost the same size as the waist hole, and I had to stop and figure out which was which. I've posted a lot of NSVs but that one right there is absolutely, positively one of my favorites.38 -
My first two workouts of the week I added some weight on the bar (or db) for nearly every lift and I felt like myself again! No weird pulling pains on my abdomen...coming up on 6 weeks post surgery, so I’ve still taking it slow on my build up, but I’m starting to see my poor deflated traps start to emerge again and I feel energized after working out instead of exhausted. So happy!23

I'm .5" from the last hole on my belt (thought probably need 1" for it to be comfortable".
Walked 3.4 miles at a 15:07 pace this morning.23 -
Cheekbones, people! Red alert! I've got cheekbones!! Lol
This morning my husband was very gingerly turning my face from side to side, certain I was bruised. He was saying "look that way, come over in the light...look over there, no I think it is a shadow...it looks like your face is bruised. It's just dark.." *shrug* I assumed it was the lighting or whatever until like 5 minutes ago when I looked in the bathroom mirror and thought the same thing, that my cheek was bruised... Yeah, I have cheekbones and my face has thinned out so there's a shadow where there wasn't one before. Lol31 -
I am kicking butt- it’s still a ginormous butt- but it’s looking better! Shirt from high school -20 ish years ago- fits! Major stamina increase during workouts, walking, daily life. I used to be so tired , I’d wake up, take a shower, and then I would have to take a nap. Meal prepped and counted those calories-my biggest challenge. Tomorrow might stink, but today is good.24

NSV opportunity alert!! I just got an invitation to attend a celebration of a sister's milestone wedding anniversary in December. Naturally, I will accept and I expect to encounter many people who haven't seen me in a long time, especially post-hip replacements. Gonna be an exceptional night. I can't wait!23

Last Sat. I WALKED in the Pink Pumpkin 5K and very happy with my chip time of 44:06 and average pace of 14:12. Probably would've been < 44 if I hadn't paused to retie a shoe. Lesson learned: always double-knot shoelaces for races!
BTW I finished 8 of 30 in F60-64 group, and that includes runners. Yay me!33 -
The NSV I have been working 6 months for! Just got the news on my blood test and my A1C level went from a 6.1 (which is pre-diabetic) to a 5.2 (well into the normal range!) and my cholesterol went from 228 to 151. Everything else on the report were excellent #s too.
My Dr. said it was one of the best transformations she has seen in a 6 month period. All this hard work with diet and exercise has paid off! Very relieved.67 -

I am still about a month out from my next labwork and doctor appointment. Your good news has me super-stoked to duplicate it. I have be hard at it for a bit less time as I didn't give myself permission to "get after it" until my formal post hip replacements PT was completed. Thank you for keeping me inspired. So happy for you!17 -

Thanks my friend! I'm wishing you the best!6 -
Was thinking that my bras were getting a bit stretched because they were feeling a bit loose in the band. I had assumed that they were a 34 and it was time to drop to a 32. Nope, they were a 32 and after remeasuring, I’m a half-inch away from being a 30. I feel like I just bought these! I didn’t realize there was even that much more to lose off my ribs. Fortunately, for right now I can wear my current ones on the inner hooks while I try my darndest to start a search for a 30DD. At least I’m not a DDD anymore.28
