Hi all I'm in, I've been going since last October, I've been doing pretty good I've lost 18kg 39.6lbs since then. However I've recently gotten off track, I've had some big upheaval in my family life and I've been stress eating and stalled out my weight loss. Keen to get back on track!

Hi Everyone, I realize I'm joining late but better late than never. I've been away from MFP for a while - just trying to get back on track now. I'm so happy to have some support. I'll probably weigh in on Tuesdays.

So I worked all weekend (thats normal, I have 2 jobs) but had to do an 11 1/2 hour shift yesterday, also its that time of the month, so my diet kinda went down the toilet a bit, lame. Oh well, today is so far so good, and dinner is a baked enchilada chicken breast (mainly a chicken enchilada minus the tortilla) I plan on knocking off about 100-200 calories from my normal limit today to make up for yesterdays extra calories, lol4

Hi all, I hope you are all having a good week so far, I’m super stoked to say I lost 1.5lbs in my first week! Aim for this week is to get more exercise, the weather was pretty terrible today so my lunchtime walk didn’t happen.

I also noticed my weight hit sky high when I started taking SSRIs. Whenever I try come off them it's as if I look to food instead.
Let's keep going. The fact we are here is a step in the right direction 💪0 -
The last 2 days I've been eating whatever my heart desires. I've got the seasonal cold and when I fall sick I fall off the wagon...bigtime.
It's as if whenever I deviate from my diet plan for whatever reason, I just keep eating till I feel bloated and horrible and then look back and think why did i eat that?
Anyone else struggle with this and any tips would be appreciated. TIA1 -
I had to take my kids to a doctors appointment this morning, My husband stopped at Hardees, I decided to get an egg, sausage biscuit, BIG mistake, that sucker was 690 calories, WTF glad I dont eat out often, it would be impossible to stick to calories. Ill stick to the 260 calorie breakfast sandwiches i have in my freezer from now on.0

I get this way too it's like when I get in this mood, I will literally not stop until my stomach is so full that I might throw up (and unfortunately have done so during extreme episodes.) It definitely is not a good feeling, I wish I had some solid advice for you. What works for me to help prevent the frequency of these binges is always trying to focus on how I will feel afterwards, rather than the satisfaction I would feel during. I could probably eat an entire plain pizza myself because that taste is my favorite in the world, but I know that after 3-4 slices I end up feeling horrific and my stomach reflexes make me have to throw up from so much food.
Do you exercise as well? I try to think of how many calories I'm consuming, vs how much it would take to "work off" during exercise. When it takes 10+ minutes just to burn 100 calories, is that 3rd slice of pizza or entire bag of potato chips worth 30-60 minutes of cardio? That sometimes helps me as well.0 -

Thats me, I dont know why I eat more when I dont feel well, I guess its a comfort thing, I dont know. I wish I had tips for you, but Im still working on it myself. Sometimes when I get where I just want to eat, but I know Im not actually hungry, I do some sort of exercise to 10 minutes. It seems to help, if I can just fight the cravings, they tend to go away after just a bit1 -
I'm 40 something with a 2.5 year old. I've been ever so slowly gaining since I've been back work. I'd like to start with a 5 lb weight loss and go from there.

I used to exercise but I stopped after a knee injury. I think I will focus on how many calories I'm eating and what I will feel like afterwards, perhaps that will help.
Thank you for your advice.1 -

Yes as soon as I have fought off the cravings I am all good. It's like when I've wanted a burger for 2 weeks and I have in the other day. The craving just wouldn't go!0 -

I'm joining late, but hoping to use this challenge to get back on track. To be completely honest, its been a real struggle to get motivated again after losing a lot of weight a few years ago. I exercise/workout daily, but still eat too many calories. Too many snacks! Hope this helps get me on track.
Best of luck to everyone.

I get like this too, also I have 2 under 2 so when I am getting no sleep I can not control my eating or get full. I have been over the last 3 weeks trying to work out why my body thinks it needs to do this..... I also wish I had an answer. But after seeing this challenge today it has motivated me. I have tried this week adding L-Glutamine to my protein shake after lunch to try and control my sugar levels. I have noticed this working, as I lost a kilo this week and don’t feel like I have to eat out of control calories. Also have added magnesium in the morning.
Maybe this might help you too.

I want to join too, lost the motivation to work out consistently for the past 2 years. My dream was always to become a body builder, I'm totally a sucker for large muscles😍. Lol. I'm 38 years old have 4 children ages ranging from 20 -8. I work full time as a teacher assistant in the special needs Dept of an elementary school. Nowadays it seems like there's no time to work and I'm always super tired....

2.3 lbs is a big drop for me. Probably a good amount of water weight since prior to this I was totally off my diet and not counting calories at all. But it’s always encouraging to see a big drop at the start. I’m aiming to lose closer to 1.25 lbs a week though.3 -
