69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
Trying to get back to walking 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year.
Left hip and knee bothering me a lot.

11/19 | 134.1 | 0.3kg gain | 6,494 steps β | Food Diary β | Ate far too much yesterday, including for dinner, so I'm not surprised by this gain. Though I did get my steps in and met my movement goal (by walking in place in my kitchen last night!) so taking some positives out of that. Drank loads of water but still feel a bit dehydrated so I'll keep that up today as well. Better food choices planned for today to get me back on track.

One thing that I've found helpful is to change my mindset. Life happens, and even with a weight loss goal we can't (and shouldn't) deprive ourselves of parties, eating out, and family events that trend to revolve around food. I started avoiding the word "cheat" and opting for "treat." Funny how that one little word changes your perceptions and behaviors. You are on the right track in learning how to plan for them. Enjoy yourself!

11/19 152.8 (-1.6)1194 cal, 4310 steps, very surprised by this drop but who am I to complain I did feel like doing a happy dance this morning when I saw the scales as it's the first time in 10 years that I've seen 152.x which is under 70kg!! π On a different subject,Iβm painting my living room at home, which isnβt the best of ideas in winter, but itβs keeping me active and stopping me from snacking in the evenings! Today Iβm going to the gym at lunch time and painting the 2nd layer on the ceiling this evening. Food is generally on track and I've downloaded an app to remind me to drink more water.
