This is so important because many people don't believe that aspect of their behavior & perceptions can change.11 -
Today's visual representation of a previous post. The upper number is higher than 99 but it is still startling. Not at all what it used to be.

I think...maybe I see...yes, that’s definitely a cheekbone!21

This may seem an odd one - but I'm claiming it as a NSV. As I socialise more in the lead up to Christmas old friends and family have ceased to comment on my weight loss. To me this means that they are now used to seeing me ~ 60lbs lighter and that I have been successfully sitting at around this weight for a while now. No-one asks what diet I have been following or comments on what I eat/don't eat. I would still like to lose another 7-8 lbs but am pretty content with where I am - will get on with the last leg of my journey after Christmas and in the lead up to my big road trip in February - meanwhile I will be happy to stay where I am over the holiday. I do have to get into the sea on Christmas morning wearing a leotard, tights and tutu (snowflake is this year's theme!!!) so maybe will keep that in mind when facing any cheeseboards on Christmas Eve28

That's a great NSV!! I'd definitely say it's an NSV.... people's changing and evolving perspective into what's your new normal is a testament to how dedicated you've been at maintaining!7 -
I am no longer OBESE! Yes I know it has to deal with the scale but I am super excited!34

This, definitely! I'm ~60lbs less for over a year now, but would still like to lose the last 15-20. People used to comment all the time about how much "better" I looked, but those comments are pretty much non-existent now. I consider it a good thing that people know me as a 'normal' person and not a 'fat' person anymore!17 -
I have a shirt that I bought a few weeks prior to the beginning of my weight loss journey. I bought a size larger than my size because I want to have enough room to tie the end of my shirt. Even then, my shirt didn’t look loose like I wanted so I didn’t touch that shirt again. Fast forward to about 3 months later. My mom saw me wear that shirt again and she was like your shirt looks really huge on you now. And of course, I was grinning like an idiot 🤣24

I went with my husband to a local mall in the middle of the day yesterday. He is a foot taller than I am, has long legs and can walk fairly quickly without even trying. I was able to keep up with him easily and was not out of breath when we slowed down or stopped to look at something.31

The past two weeks was a whirlwind of holiday family visits out of state. I ate (and drank) way above maintenance pretty much every day that I was gone.
NSV #1: As soon as I got back home, I jumped right back into my normal eating habits. No sweat.
NSV #2: I exercised almost every day I was gone, whether it was walking, running, lifting weights, or yoga/floor exercises. I found a gym in my hometown so I could lift heavy at least a couple days. Lifting has become such an integral part of my life. I have this drive to strength train that keeps getting stronger.
NSV #3: Every single person I saw who hadn't seen me in 6 months or more told me that I look amazing. Nobody commented on my weight- they just appeared surprised and delighted before paying me a compliment. I don't think the weight loss is so obvious as much as the overall improvement in my shape and fashion sense.
NSV #4: Despite the many days of overeating, thanks to getting back on track so fast I am currently only ~1200 kcal TOTAL over maintenance for the last two weeks. That's not even half a pound's worth of calories.
NSV #5: A shirt that was very fitted a few weeks ago is suddenly loose around my waist. The muscle vs. fat thing is real, y'all.24 -
Looked at my resting heart rate and was shocked at how much it’s come down this past year. The left was february if this year and the right is this week.

That last line is the most important - the threshold for the surgery is below 40.0.
...I keep tearing up each time I read it. Gonna need a bigger box of Kleenex today.

I've started feeling cold again. I was always warm due to the extra insulation, but I've had to turn up the heat recently and wear long pants.

Measurement day was yesterday. On top of the scale victory, I have also lost 53.25 Inches!!!34

Someone shared a photo of me singing with the work choir at a charity Xmas lunch last week. I was wearing a favourite pair of shoes and was flat out delighted to see my legs looked fabulous in the shot. I’ve only just started to lose weight after a huge gain and had assumed they looked like tree trunks!
I’ve a long way to before I’m back in the “normal” weight range but taking my pleasure and motivation where I can 💪24 -

Added weight to my deadlift. No longer just the bar. Pretty pleased.20
