Got married over the weekend. Thank you for all the well wishes from everyone here and on the R99 board! Learned it's true you don't have time to drink at your own wedding. I didn't log or track or weigh at all over the weekend, so less than half a pound jump from Friday morning is a happy surprise.

Lots of beer and champagne last night so I guess I'm not all that surprised the scale went up a little. Hoping it's mostly water weight!

Again typing multiple replies and poof the app closes! I guess I’ll go back to posting one at a time!
@shunggie Look at pretty you! I love your new profile picture. AND I love seeing pictures of the littles! Mine are all taller than I (not a difficult task) and the youngest will be getting her drivers license next month.

Thank you @musicsax and @beachwalker99. I could have posted 20 pics, but I thought that was the cutest. With toddlers, you can never get all the toys etc out of the pic for a candid shot.5

Okay time to get back on track.
12/29 – 272.6 Back in the right direction.
12/30 – 270.6 The first of many drops, I hope. I do know I’ll have a bounce on the first because of New Years Eve plans. Once that’s done though I have nothing going on until my husband’s birthday in February.
12/31 – 270.0 I went out for dinner and was okay until we decided to get desert. It’s okay though I didn’t plan to be back fully on track until tomorrow anyway. I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Years!
01/01 – 269.4 I didn’t end up as far off track yesterday as I feared I would end up. I’m hopeful of staying on track now that all the holiday activities are over.
01/02 – 268.6 If the drops continue I should be close to my previous low soon. I was on track yesterday and I’ve been getting out and enjoying the nice weather we’re having. Nothing like hitting 12k steps on the first of the year. My goal for this year is to lose 50 pounds and if I hit that early I’ll set a new realistic goal for however long is left. I happily ended last year still over the halfway point to my ultimate goal weight.

12/30 - 177.6 Lots of cooking and eating with the family for a late Christmas. Entree was ham so retaining lots of water. Looking for a 1-2 lb loss tomorrow if I can stay out of the leftovers and candy still in the house.
12/31 - 176.8 Water weight is leaving but I was unsuccessful in staying out of the leftovers. I will keep trying.
1/1 - 177.2
1/2 - 178.8 I will not give up! Yesterday at home all day with leftovers from Christmas and New Year's celebration was too much.

1/2 161.0 I took a break from this challenge while I was on vacation and through the holidays. I tracked only intermittently and did not eat as well as I normally do, so I could NOT be happier that I'm only up .7lbs after 20 days of not consciously being "good". This a HUGE NSV for me. I didn't track obsessively and still basically maintained. If it hadn't been Christmas and I hadn't made those lemon butter cookies I may have been even better . I missed reading everyone's stories I'm catching up today! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!!!!!
I will torture you with only 1 pic of my beautiful girl. She was "helping" me unpack Christmas, I had picked up the Mrs. Claus nightgown the year before and packed it in with Christmas stuff. Yes, she has on cowgirl boots and yes she liked to play on the yoga mat.
OMG she is such a cutie and I know an absolute joy!!6 -
@tiabirdie56 I love doing an extend fast. I did one early in December and plan on doing another soon.
This is ridiculous! I got booted out of MFP AGAIN! So frustrating.2 -

NEVER GIVE UP! You can surprise yourself! I have.
What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

12/29 122.5 No explanation for this bump unless it was the small bit of baked white potato at lunch yesterday or the little bit of dark chocolate (no sugar) from the night before. May not have had enough water. Low calorie, great macro day so not worried. Woke up at 3:30-the cat was crowding me off the bed.
12/30 122.5 Car woke me at 5, I was super tired so put him in his crate and went back to sleep. (He loves his crate and frequently goes in there to nap) Woke when the alarm went off at 7, got dressed and went to have labs drawn. You all know I’m really NOT a morning person. Going to a friend’s house to sew today so haven’t read all posts but I’m at the top of page 4.
12/31 122.0 I just ate a hearty breakfast - mostly. I’m not a breakfast person but hadn’t eaten since lunch yesterday and was getting the shakes. I had a fried egg with 2 extra yolks and a piece of leftover steak AND a Thomas’ English muffin. DH bought those to have the 2 days we were on the pre-cruise stay-cation. There was one left so I threw it in my bag and kept it refrigerated on the cruise and brought it back home. I grew up eating those and it had been calling to me since we got home 9 days ago. Now it’s gone. My carbs are going to be through the roof but it’s okay. This too shall pass. Looking forward to thee beginning of the new decade A YEAR FROM NOW.
01/01 122.0 Today is round 2 of (only one pan) sticky buns, this one for our cruising pals. I may have to do a round 3 after our neighbor returns from Alaska.
01/02 121.5 I ate no sticky buns yesterday and as a consequence of that, fasted until after 5pm.9 -

Hi, I’m Karen and I’m 53.
OSW-187 Sept. 2018
Gym weight lifting class 2 x week
Walk +/- 7 miles 3 x week
Drink plenty of water, alcohol on weekends or holidays.
12/29-172-What bread and salt do to me....
12/30-171-I’m glad it’s Monday; that gives me motivation to get back on track.
12/31-170–I’m off to the gym.
1/1-171-Not bad after all of the eating and drinking I did last night. I’m sore from the gym yesterday and will get a big walk in today. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!🎆🎊🎈
1/2-170-Hopefully I can keep a downward trend. I ended up walking 3 miles with friends, yesterday; today I’ll walk 7 mi. alone.
It is wonderful to have all of you here!!! I drink my coffee while reading your posts daily .😊💚13 -

01/02 - 187.5 Having been out of country for almost a month and totally off plan, I came back and was actually down to 181. This last two holiday weeks I've been eating with abandon so I'm not surprised at what is likely this water retention hike (plus a few lbs?) I'm hoping/ expecting this to fall quickly. Good to be back!!

@fmfdfa2020 @quiltingjaine Thank you both. She's adorable and perfectly behaved (for a 2-year-old). I took that pic in my office and thought - who is this woman. I didn't recognize myself. Weight loss is a strange thing but I love it.
On another note, I just purchased and pocket scale to bring to work to weigh things out. I'm so excited though I worry it's too obsessive. Does anyone else use a "pocket" scale for travel?3 -
Round 100
MY NAME IS DONNA. I AM 59 YEARS YOUNG & FROM THE MIDWEST USA. I AM APPROX 5’ 5” TALL.
ROUND 58 FOR ME.
“To ensure good health: eat lightly, breathe deeply, live moderately, cultivate cheerfulness, and maintain an interest in life.”– William Londen
MY STATS:
Highest weight ever (2014/2015): 253
Original starting weight for this current journey : (1-11-2018) 235.0
R99 EW= 194.0
R100 EW= TBD
Current New Goals:
Weight:
Short Term Goal: Lose 2 pounds this round.
Long Term Goal: To be at 172 point anything by April 1, 2020. That would put me back at my lowest weight during this journey.
Final goal: 145-155. We’ll see how I look & feel when I get there.
Exercise:
During each Weight goal I plan on walking as much as possible and always reaching my 10,000 steps. I would also like to do some aerobic level dancing in my livingroom whenever possible.

12/28 …..194.0….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
12/29 …..190.4 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 1156 Calories In / 2432 Calories Out. 12 Net Carbs. 12,362 Total Steps & 5.23 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 14 minutes. I walked at about 3.0 mph for 18 minutes burning 90 calories. It’s a start! Good luck everyone on the monumental 100th round!
12/30 …..190.4 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 998 Calories In / 2236 Calories out. 58 Net Carbs. 8497 Steps & 3.6 Total Miles. 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept for 6 hours & 21 minutes. Getting over 5 hours of sleep per night has been a nice trend throughout the last couple of weeks.
12/31 …..191.2 ….. Dang it, Dang it! I had a perfect day, all meals and snacks in line. Even a little bit of exercising in the form of dance. Then….., after I closed out my MFP for the day….., AFTER, I ate my meals & snacks…., I got into the candy dish and ate 9 pieces of mini candy bars (mini 3 muskateers etc.). It totally blew my numbers out of the water. I have went back in today and added it to my log so here are my upgraded numbers, sadly : / 1710 Calories In / 2520 Calories Out. 61 Net Carbs. 13,108 Total Steps & 5.51 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 19 minutes. I danced for 35 minutes burning 212 calories. [color-=crimson]Sample song – “Going Timber” by Pit Bull. A holiday upon us again. I will give it my best shot. January 2nd can’t come quick enough!
01/01 …..189.2 ….. Happy New Year Everyone! Posting late due to starting what will be an incredible amount of paperwork for my business. Quarterly sales tax, Annual Sales tax for 2019 and 2019 Income Taxes. Yesterday was a good day. A little low on calories and a little high on carbs due to spaghetti squash recipe I tried. 675 Calories In / 2634 Calories Out. 30 Net Carbs. 16,099 Total Steps & 6.81 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 17 minutes. I walked in the school for 114 minutes at about 3.0 mph burning 634 calories. Had not walked much for the past three weeks, I could really feel it. Feeling strong!
01/02 …..188.2 ….. Moving back down. I feel committed again. I’m getting my home back to a safe zone and working on getting my son back on the healthy eating and weight loss wagon. He is a 23 year old with Autism and sometimes it is hard to work with him, especially when it comes to food. But with our children, as you know, we never ever give up! Yesterday’s stats: 1145 Calories In / 2752 Calories Out. 60 Net Carbs due to one teeny tiny slice of frozen pizza (from son) when I missed dinner (very long phone call from far-away cousin). 17,628 Total Steps & 7.46 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 30 minutes. I walked twice yesterday. Once for 61 minutes at 2.75 mph burning 276 calories. Once for 30 minutes at 4.25 mph burning 245 calories. Total extra calorie burn 521. I need to be more serious about my water intake.

Day/Weight/Comment
12/29: 217.2 (+0.4)/18.2 (+0.1). I had my first real meal in days last night, so this is not unexpected. That being said, my sickness feels like a bit of a reset, one that got me back into some good habits. I'm going to try to take advantage of the "opportunity" I've been "given" (nice way to phrase my horrible illness).
12/30: 218.8 (+1.6)/18.4 (+0.2). As always, I spoke too soon. I need to remember that the moment I'm feeling too good about my progress/work habits is the moment that I let myself slide a little. I could have said no last night, but after my reasonable dinner I had some leftover Caesar salad (wife went out to dinner) and a Cinnabon. There's plenty of blame to go around, but I am the only person that is responsible for me. I regretted both choices as they were happening, but not enough to make me stop/slow down. I'm going to think of this as a "blip," and I'm going to try to move on from it.
12/31: 218.6 (-0.2)/18.3 (-0.1). I was not hungry all day, and I barely ate anything. I had my wife's leftovers for dinner, but for some reason she felt it necessary to make a WHOLE OTHER MEAL that she expected me to partake in (she asked me to eat her leftovers). It was relatively healthy, at least, but I'm going to have to have a little talk with her about MY body and MY right to put (or not put) whatever I want into it... no matter what the circumstances are. I still have not been to the gym since I got really sick, and I probably won't get there until Friday.
1/1: 217.4 (-0.8)/18.2 (-0.1).
1/2: 216.6 (-0.8)/18.1 (-0.1). For those of you who don't know, I'm a psychologist, which doesn't make me any better at any of this than any of you! One thing that's important for me, especially when it comes to health/weight loss, is the idea of "setting my intention(s)." It's a bit like doing the whole New Year's resolution thing, but I like to try to carefully think through the things I need to do in order to reach my goal(s). This includes thinking about what's worked for me in the past (like coming to MFP and JGMTD), but it also includes really thinking about the different things that can potentially derail me. I'm not going to bore you with details, but I know that I have a tendency to relax a bit too much when I start to feel successful here; the minute I talk about how well things are going or how "easy" this is, chances are high that I'm going to slip up a bit. I try to remember to temper the extreme feelings I have (good and bad) because that works for me, and it can be a disaster when I don't do it. I'm going to recommit to the gym 3x/wk (starting tomorrow), knowing that it may take some time to get back where I was a month ago. I'm also going to work on communicating more effectively with my wife; I love her very much, but sometimes that message seems to get lost when we have discussions/arguments. Sorry for being a bit "all over the place." Happy New Year to you all!

Day/Weight/Comment
12/29--Back in town after 5 days. We had a great time. I weighed myself when I got home late this afternoon, just to get some idea of how much of a bump up there is on the scale after my snacking and lack of water drinking, and I was only up 3.6lbs. I will weigh in tomorrow morning at my regular weigh-in time to get a more accurate number.
12/30--208.1 Only up 2.5lbs after being out of town, I am happy about that. Strength coach today. Goal for today is to get my water in.
12/31--207.8 Yesterday's workout with my strength coach was really hard, it's surprising how quickly my workouts can suffer when I haven't worked out for a such a short time. I'm back at work today after being off for a week, so the regular schedule today should make it easier for me to get my water in today.
01/01--208.1 Didn't fully get back to normal eating as my husband wanted to go out for dinner and some drinks last night. I went to see my strength coach today and it was another tough workout. I told my coach that for me this year is the year of flexibility, so that is what I will work on this year. Also, by working on my flexibility, it will also help me with my weightlifting.
01/02--207.4 Tonight is my 1st day of a 30 day yoga YouTube program I'm going to do, in order to work on my flexibility.

12/29: 173.9 lbs, highest weight ever today. I've gained 30+ pounds in a little over 3 months. I've not been able to work out due to a running injury, which has sent me spirally out of control weigh wise. Time to be accountable again and log and weigh daily to get this under control. I know what to do and how to be successful in losing weight, just have to start. I don't expect a loss for tomorrow but commit to achieving a loss going forward in the days to come. Starting over is hard, but I have done this before, so I know I can do it again. Looking forward to the next 10 days.
12/30: 173.3 Goals for this round are...pre-log daily meals/calories, IF 16/8, little to no alcohol consumption, and get my exercise back on track with yoga and tentatively see if my foot is ready to ease back into running.
12/31: 172.6 Yesterday was partially successfully with logging and eating IF 16/8 but not the best choices with food and went over on calories by having a couple of glasses of wine. Hoping today to get on my treadmill (hate running indoors but it is a snowy icy mess outside) and see how my foot feels. I have a NYE get-together to go to tonight but am thinking I will skip it, as I don't need the temptations of party food/drinks derailing the little progress I have made this week.
01/01: 171.3 Had a very nice NYE, low key with my family and even enjoyed a little cheese & crackers+ Champagne and still had a loss on the scale this morning. Just sticking to 1 meal today as we went out for brunch and I feel so full even though I made smart choices. I've decided to wait 2 more weeks to see how returning to running feels and I got in a good body strength workout instead.
01/02: 172 Slight blip up from yesterday, no real reason for it...could be because yesterday I slept in and weighed later than normal. I'm doing well with IF 16/8, drinking water, limiting alcohol, not eating outside of meals or overeating, & logging but need to be better with my food choices and staying within my allotted calories. Today I have a double workout planned with a total body barre video + the 1st day of the 30 day YWA, HOME practice, looking forward to getting back into daily yoga.
