I can feel the lack of nutrition in overcooked foods at restaurants. Like, I eat primarily vegetables and they always over-cook them. My body is like "wait, why *doesn't* this taste better?"
Ok so those are both basically the same thing.
I am the same, I have cut out processed sugar/foods and my daughters bought me a snickers bar, because that's what I used to love to eat when we went shopping. After eating it, it left a bad after taste in my mouth...ugh!6 -

I used to avoid anything cleaning or physical, I now work as a junk removal person, Basically a mover of furniture. With stairs. One of the male dominated hard on your body fields id of NEVER considered before LOL
I like doing the laundry and will go down to the laundry room repeatedly to check the timer on the machine...
(psst: I could set the timer on my phone... but where's the fun in going up and down 3 flights of stairs otherwise...)
Lol! that is how I get my steps too, I do the laundry downstairs, and then hang them. Once they are dry, I fold each item and take an item at a time to each room/cupboard. I used to yell at the kids to take their clothes, now I love climbing up and down and getting my steps goal on my fitbit9 -
That when you get sick, you WORRY about all the weight you'll lose over a short period rather than welcome it.13

That as you reach your goal(s), you will begin to start thinking (and doing/accomplishing) other (non-weight blastification) dreams and goals you once thought impossible or undesirable to/for you and in your entire life/lifestyle. Big things like a getting a new job or even starting your own business(es), getting a pet (fur baby), getting more involved of/in life outside of you/yourself, tackling with finesse, once fearsome and intimidating people, places and things in your life with love and the boldness and I mean business and nothing shall stop you from getting better and better at what you set your vision on. You will discover that NO THING of which you've set your mind/priorities/choices will be impossible to/for you. They maybe hard, just as hard (if not harder) than getting down to size--but not impossible. You will discover the POWER of letting your YES be YES and your NO be NO!23

Seeing my jawline. Seeing my face as it naturally is, without excess fat. My body being leaner, less round and yet still sleek and soft. I’m excited to get back on the saddle.14

Not so serious:

- Putting on a pair of pants that I bought two weeks ago and having them be a little loose. It's kind of annoying, but feels good too.
- Realizing that my brain doesn't keep up with my weight loss. If I have big clothes in the house, I will wear them. I have to donate them in order for me to not wear them. I have a box of clothes in smaller sizes that were handed down to me. I have to force myself to try them on once a month, or I will never think that they will fit me (even though I see the previous bullet point happen).

When I find that I am down a couple of sizes, but I really do love some of my larger clothes, I get them tailored down. It is a bit pricey, but I had a shirt tailored, nipped in at my smaller waist, taken up so it hits just below my hip bones. I wear it all the time and it looks better than when I bought it. Same with a jean dress, and some of my favorite pants.15

It is so much FUN to be inspirational--because as I post to/for people, I am ALWAYS/EVER talking to myself (firstly) and MUST be/do everything I say to others, period. Also, I consider being "inspirational/encouraging" one of my main purposes for living/being alive--a mission of sorts. What so tremendous about this is I ALWAYS, as I inspire/encourage others (not with VILE and unreality but "feel good" flattery ( I HATE flattery with a passion)...but with godly wisdom/TRUTH/long life experience) I ALWAYS get a double/triple or more portion of YAY and BOOM myself. As I help try to build others up...I myself get built up in return--so BOOM and I love it!8 -
When you start any excuse to avoid exercise is a good one and people changing your plans to not exercise make them your bestie for the day - when you are in the swing of exercising anyone interrupting your exercise or changing your plans makes you grumpy with them.17

That daily choices/decisions are not options--they are the very direction(s) to what/how you will live and THINK. You have the authority/right and privilege to decide what you're going to eat, drink and live--it's a DAILY choice. There is no such thing as "can't" ONLY won't! If we keep doing what we're doing...we're going to keep getting what we're getting. No matter what society or even what you tell yourself...even if you are in the worse/scary place in your heart/mind and life, even if you believe that you'll always be (fill in the blank)--you DO have the awesome ability to choose the way you think, live and CHANGE. It may take time, and a lot of it--it may take a super long time, just know that everything isn't always going to be/go the way we want, when we want--but even in the toughest time and horrible failures, we can always get back up, dust ourselves off and start all over again. Everyday is a new day--a new opportunity to CHOOSE how we will think, live and do/be.

It'd be cool if you wanted to, to start a daily weight loss affirmations thread in success stories. I think people would like it.12 -
Not as much losing weight as just healthy habits, but every so often after a work out I'll have a weird, brief onset of anxiety, especially after evening workouts.
I'm sure it's some sort of cortisol/adrenaline thing, but it's one of the more unpleasant parts of my fitness routine. How I can go from singing to myself on the elliptical to a little panic attack in the bathroom is not my favorite thing.21 -
After you've lost weight. Spent a year being complimented... nobody tells you that you actually get sick of being noticed. You want to be a regular every day person. Once I'd seen EVERYBODY I knew took about 3 years finally I was just me. Not that woman who took off a shiton of weight.32

While it was not the reason I changed jobs and they never knew me big and it was a relief! In fact people here find it hard to believe I was once bigger. They only know me as this highly active lean lady

I am so squishy at the moment. Was looking good last week, but this week my remaining fat (have about 10lb to loose) is all squishy that I feel as if I have not lost anything at all. Got quite depressed last night about it. But I know it is just a stage and it will look different next week.18 -

When that happened to me, it was usually followed by a 'whoosh' - a sudden downward weight drop. Kind of like my body was just loosening up the fat before dumping it.14 -

Does sound like a bad reaction to the comedown from the high of exercising. How is your cool down at the end of a workout? It might help to take more time to trickle down the exercise with a short walk or yoga or something more substantial.11 -

I might have an insight which could help. Some people get panic attacks which are triggered by high heart rate - your brain is constantly getting feedback from your body and some people are more sensitive to it than others. Basically your body concludes that if your heart is beating that fast you must be running from a bear or something, so it triggers the whole cascade of adrenaline and so on to help out.
The helpful bit is that if you can control the heart rate it prevents the panic attack. Some people with this problem take beta blockers before public speaking, for example. You don’t want to take beta blockers before exercising, but learning some breathing exercises or other methods to drop your heart rate, or just keeping an eye on it so you are aware of what’s coming, might be helpful. Also, knowing what’s going on might make you feel better!20 -
@glennagael what a bummer to have anxiety after the high of working out. I hope you figure it out.
Things I didn't know:
a - that I would feel like the same person I was 25 pounds ago and forget that I look different until seeing myself in pictures.
b - that my neck would have so much extra skin!
c - that working out could be so addicting.
d - that sweets are no longer appealing.
e - that it's easier to say "no" to foods other people try to guilt you into eating.16 -

That my weight loss has a beginning, but it doesn't have an end. I'll never be done. The same habits I am doing today to support my weight loss are ones that I will need to do for the rest of my life. The only difference between weight loss and maintenance are the number of calories you have to play with.
That was a lesson I didn't learn in my last go-arounds. I thought I could just go back to "living my life". This is my life. And that is okay.46 -

This is me right now! My belly fat and inner thigh fat is loose and looks like cottage cheese and like you.....I feel like I haven't lost anything at all. I know it's all a mind game but I still feel like the fat girl from 6 months ago.
No one tells you about the mental hurdles you face when losing weight.

Hey, I'm at the beginning following this to know what to expect. That's something to know, even if a little intimate.
I'm seriously hoping that I lose cup size along with band size, because otherwise I'll wind up in something ridiculous and have to get top surgery as well as belly surgery in the end.8 -

You also might also want to consider a different brand or cut of underwear. If you're really heavy you might be used to having only very limited choices that fit anywhere near comfortable. But when down to a smaller size, there is often multiple options and some maybe you never had a chance in trying. And if your underwear is old and stretched out new underwear will fit differently.9
